Sabetha Riwora

I'll rob you blind

0 · 1,289 views · located in Dark Woods

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Adantas

Description

Alias: The Vixen

Age: 24

Species: Unknown - She would call herself a mutant. She had the ability to shift into a fox but when she couldn't fully shift, she became a half creature.

Gender: Female

Due to a life changing experience several aspects of Sabetha have changed.

Occupation: None

Relationship: None

Appearance: Barely taller than 5'1, Sabetha is built like a twig, bony and very thin, often mistaken for being malnourished and sickly. In actual fact she has very lean muscle, capable of carrying her swiftly for many miles.

While still skeletal and slightly disfigured with shoulders hunched as if her body was meant to be aligned with all four appendages on the ground, the initial shock of the odd figure is startling but it suits her as she now holds her head up high and does not stoop to hide herself.

Living as a street urchin she didn’t have the luxury to clean up and nor did her attitude allow her. Now having changed drastically she has made an effort to change who she is. Her once bark-like and straw hair now is cleaner and while is still rather thin is growing better and has a healthy shine to it, the natural curls are coming back out, making her look younger. Her fox ears are no longer hidden and the mottled fur is now fresh and almost fluffy.

Her canine teeth while still yellow no longer have the grime and filth covering them. Her slitted feline eyes still hold their eerie green colour and can look quite terrifying especially when the light catches them and they reflect a ghostly glow. Sharp elongated nails while tidier are still long and sharp.

No longer feeling compelled to appear as she believed she should Sabetha has discarded the rags and now wears the clothes she reserves for assignments, a simply tunic over the top of tan knee length pants.

These small changes may not be able to hide her odd appearance but she no longer is perceived as threatening.

Personality: Sabetha has had a rollercoaster ride of a life. In her youth she was a rather quiet and solemn child but as any child does, she had natural curiosity and loved life. That all turned darker when after she shifted, she and her beloved father fled their small village. With nothing but the clothes on their backs and a few small coins they were forced to live in the slums. It hardened the poor youth very quickly and she to survive she would often sacrifice much, like the horrific pain of shifting to hunt for food. Her natural curiosity turned into a skill of thievery, she was thrust into a world of darkness and it was either sink or swim. For a while she managed to swim, keeping her head barely above water by distancing herself from morality and her happy self.

This hardened young Sabetha and she became increasingly rude and calloused, mainly because she had to be to deal with the underwold that she had found herself a part of. However, despite her darkening self she was attempted to keep some sort of balance for her father, if it weren’t for him she wouldn’t know what would happen. As it so happened her father was murdered and this drove her into a violent and grief-stricken rage. So desperate and broken that she hunted down the killers and slaughtered them in cold blood. It was this action that finally drove her to the edge. Her dark persona finally became her. For a long time she was simply cruel and heartless but as the years went by she grew into the darkness and while always had a fiery pit of rage and hate inside her she adjusted and became rather mischievousness, delving into the malicious. She was often rude and sarcastic when speaking to people. She enjoyed dark humour and liked watching people squirm.

She became so horrible and desolate that she began to make a name for herself as a ruthless assassin. She was the one people sent to retrieve things. She had a knack for stealing and greatly enjoyed it, although, arguably, she seemed to enjoy the chasing part more. Her reputation grew and a part of her revelled in it, but a small part of her detested it as it proved that she truly was a monster. She became a deeply suspicious person since losing her father. Sab believed she since she was a monster than there was nothing she could do to change her appearance. This made her very aggressive, judgemental and assuming when she dealt with anyone.

A drastic change altered this, a test showed that she in fact wanted to save herself and so she brought herself back to the light. Of course, after everything changing who she is wasn’t going to be easy. However, now with her new found self confidence and acceptance she was going to be better. She refused to allow her past actions and appearance dictate who she could be. Her maliciousness and mischievousness turned into playful cheek while still slightly rude. She still struggles not to assume that everyone is against her, but she is trying.

Her broken heart is slowly mending, although until she can find someone who will truly care for her it will always have that crack that was done by the death of her father. While she has changed for the better she is still Sabetha and everything that has happened hasn’t suddenly disappeared, meaning she is still sarcastic and a pessimist. With her turn around she now refuses to go back to working in the world of crime. Although, that doesn’t mean she’s getting rid of her skill for sneakery and thievery, those still come in handy.

Weakness: While she has great endurance, she is left with next to no strength, a result of being hungry and on the run often. And if Sab isn't able to get out of a situation using her agility then she's pretty much doomed. But that isn't to say she wouldn't fight every step of the way!

Weapons/Abilities: Is a skilled 'shadow'. She blends into the dark, is able to hide in plain sight and is very good at stealth. A honed pick-pocketer and apt with a small blade. She doesn't have any magic or 'powers', she has been forced to learn the art of survival.

Sabetha slunk around the crowded bar easily swiping a few rolls of cash from the less careful or just completely drunk. She always looked away when she picked a pocket so as not to draw attention to her hand. An old drunk, beer in one hand face planted straight into the table. He had a bowl of nuts tipped over, Sab slyly walked past and if someone was really keen would have seen one second a bowl of nuts the next just a few lonely nuts lying on the table.

Sabetha was effortlessly strolling through the bar, picking pockets where she saw chance. What she didn't realise is that she would stumble upon some people talking about their hired job as an assassin and openly killing the person. Curious she went a little closer to overhear the conversation.

This was most interesting indeed. There seemed to be a fight doing down in the side alley and Sab would definitely enjoy the entertainment. So silently she followed the group out, aware that there were also some others following the two outside.

Sabetha had slunk into the side alley, trying to escape the ruckus from Gambit's bar. The sky had then decided to split open, pouring all of it's contents upon those below. Sabetha really hated the rain.

Sabetha's fox like eyes where scanning the desolate area, her ears pricked to any strange sounds above the din of the rain. She wanted to find a hole and just curl up inside to escape the rain. She slowly prowled through the alleyway. Trying to find somewhere dry. Then she heard tapping. It wasn't very loud but with her heightened hearing. She froze and scanned the darkness looking for the source of the tapping. There were bags of trash and mysterious lumps everywhere and nearly impossible to distinguish a figure. But as she able to finally discern where the tapping was coming from. She cautiously lowered herself to a crouch and found a small being of garbage. She didn't want to think what it actually was but it was only about the size of her thumb. She pegged it in the direction of the tapping and waited to see what would happen. She prepared herself by getting her knife out.

The thing spoke. She wasn't sure whether it was prey or predator yet so she didn't reply. She simply stayed couched waiting for it to move.

Sab was actually quite surprised to hear the clear voice. She hadn't planned on him making such a statement. He didn't sound weak and helpless so probably wasn't injured. But why would he be sitting in the rain out by the trash. She was more confused than anything so she tentatively replied.

"Who are you?"

Sab had never heard of the name Weyland before and found it pretty hard to believe. Although there were some stranger characters that came out of the bar so who was she to judge. She didn't really want to respond with anything that could hint at who she was so she just said cryptically,

"I'm the Vixan."

Sab tilted her head in a curious manner, she hadn't ever had a conversation such as this one. In truth it was probably the longest one she has had.

"Depends, do you have anything of value on you?"

Sabetha eyed the guy wearily as he got up and left. The rain had lightened to a slight drizzle but it had still soaked Sab through. Great, just great, she thought grumpily.

While one had just left the alleyway was suddenly bombarded with two new bodies. She was still crouched and hoped that the large one didn't see her.

The ruins were an uneasy place at the best of times, but at night their haunted feeling was magnified ten fold. The whistling wind rushed through the desolate columns, imitating howls of ungodly creatures. The clouds created eerie shadows as they floated past the full moon. It was time that Sabetha felt most strongest and connected to her animal side. She could never feel whole but at this time of the month it was the closest she was ever going to get. Her animalistic instincts were on high alert as she slunk through the toppled stone. Usually she stayed clear of the Ruins, preferring to lurk in the dark alleyways of the city, but tonight something had drawn her here. She didn't know what but it was powerful and ancient. She made sure that she had her knife in hand and a few charms that she nicked off of a drunk priest one night. The air was cool, but she hardly felt it. All her senses where on alert, waiting for something to happen.

It was a busy time in the plaza, people bustling everywhere looking at the stalls and admiring the general festivities. Sabetha generally avoided this area as best she could be she had a job to do and planned on getting paid. She slunk around, careful to avoid attention. Casually she picked some pockets as she went, searching for her target.

She felt a strange niggling feeling in the back of her head. Her animalistic instincts were buzzing and she felt something amiss. On high alert she swiftly moved through the crowds. As she scanned the faces trying to determine which could be her unnamed target she fell upon an unsuspecting prey. He was casually sitting at one of the steel tables, his valuables carelessly placed in his loose pockets. It was the perfect picking and she couldn't resist.

She was being foolish, she should have paid attention to her instincts. They were telling her something was wrong and now look where she was; trapped by some hybrid lizard. If she wasn't so angry she would have been intrigued to have found someone similar to her. Her eyes burned with hatred as this thing would not let go of her wrist. Surprisingly though he called her by her name. No one knew her name, that was her true identity. How did this beast know that? His voice was icy and her human side was entranced but her fox side was more than powerful enough to resist. She didn't trust him, she planned that if he didn't let go soon she would take her knife out and slice his wrist.
