Character Portrait: Sally Wright Sally Wright says,
“ raises her head at the entrance of a certain Tahira Ali, and raises a brow. Where had she seen that face before...?
Shaking her head, she walks over to the separating door, kicks it open, and inches over to the grey-haired woman. "You want something, dearie?", she enquires in a generically warm voice, attempting to ignore Cyber's noises. ”

Sally Wright quirks a tad bit in the mouth as she studies the woman's face, her gaze staying quite a bit too long for it to be natural. Suddenly self-aware, she nods rapidly and mutters softly, "I'll get it soon." Excusing herself with a cough, she promenades over to Cyber and grimaces at the apparent robot.

Sally Wright taps lightly upon the table, then glances instinctively at the double-doors as the leaving-chimes ring. After a second or two she asks politely, in her most saccharine tone, "Would you be so kind as to stop devouring our property?"

Sally Wright lets out a sigh. "Funny. Stop eating it." And with that, she moves back to being behind the bar; she grabs a wineglass and fills it with the contents of a chilled water bottle she takes from the fridge, then stiffly moves back to Tahira Ali's table. She barely registers the appearance of a new person, Akezuki, whilst placing the glass of water upon the tabletop without a word.

Sally Wright does a quick double-take of Tahira, her face deadpan as Sally searches the other woman's face for what was worrying her...
Tactfully and conveniently bursting into a fit of fake coughs, dulling them against the white, now-unsterile fabric of her barworking attire, she paces around the bar, waiting for perhaps a call for wine.

Character Portrait: Sally Wright Sally Wright says,
As Sally walks around the room, catering to each person's personal desires, she goes to the bar with the equivalent in requests of a large bachelor party. On her way out, holding a tarnished silver tray covered by multiple wineglasses, she takes a hesitant glance at the bounty board to her left.

Sally Wright glances at the usual photos, repeating their names aloud: "The Westboro Rapist... Brickham Jones... Tahira Ali... Wickham Jackson..." Her eyes fly back to the photograph of the third name, the only woman there. Raising a brow, she spins around on her heels to gaze at the face of the woman she had served earlier...
... why had she not trusted her instincts?

As quickly as she could she ran behind the bar again, into the owner's room. Her intended serving plate was upturned and the contents smashed upon the floor.

Sally Wright calmly strolled through the bar doors, walked over to the bar, and agilely jumped it, almost knocking off one of the napkin dispensers. Once on the other side, she righted the dispenser, ran a callused hand through her hair, which was no longer braided, but running freely down to her waist in slightly tangled curls, and turned to the bartender with a neutral face. "I'm late, aren't I?", she enquired in a dry voice, and with a wave of his hand she understood that she was working overtime today.

Sally Wright glanced at the man who had just ordered the beer, Lief Cauldor. Was he... crying? With a bit of a smirk, she pocketed the coins with a smooth "Thankee, sir," then walked over to the bar to pour the drink. In a couple seconds she was back at the table, handing the mug to the man.

Sally Wright grinned a bit more at the next tip, and placed it in her pockets once more. If this kept up, she would have a week's pay in a day. She started off to the bar to wait for another order -- then came across a bloodied woman asking for ice. Sally blinked, then fought off the ensuing nausea to ask her - "Sure, I'll get you a glass of it. Do you want something to drink and eat too? The supper special today's Grimorean Fish Fillet, it's definitely preferable to last week's Magical Menagerie." She grimaced a bit and took a menu placard from behind the bar. "Here's a menu if you need it."

Sally Wright stopped paying attention to December Winter Black as two people walked up to the bar, a woman appearing out of mist, and a person spouting something about... Scatteran DNA? She grabbed two more menus and flicked them at the two people, Doji Kiroki and Seno Miyagi. A foul smell soon wafted over to the bar, and Sally turned up her nose before grabbing a remote from where the beers were stacked and turning on the A.C. She glanced at the door as it opened yet again and poured a glass of vodka to his demands, then walked over to his stool and slid him the glass. "This is quite a busy day," she mused quietly to herself.

Sally Wright stared querulously at December for a moment, tilting her head, until she remembered that the usual fare of denizens of Gambit's Bar wasn't exactly fish and chips. Spinning around to face the kitchen door, which was closed, she cupped her lips and yelled, "Chefs! A raw egg yolk in a glass -- no, make it two or three! Save the whites for tomorrow." Within a couple of minutes a glass full of yellow stuff found its way in Sally's hand, and she carefully placed it in front of December, before pouring herself a glass of Merlot. She gave the room a cursory glance; the new barmen and maids were definitely doing well; and as a man, Casper walked up to the bar, she righted herself again, downed the glass, and questioned him, "You just looking or you wanna get a drink?"

Sally Wright shrugged and replied, "The vast, vast majority of these drinks are suitable for human-and-humanoid consumption. Just keep looking and tell me what you want when I get back -- there's work for me to do." She poured two mugs full of frothing beer, throwing the glass bottle into the garbage bin, and walked over to Lief's table, then passed one to Lief and Niho each. "Fancy seeing you again," she added wryly.

Sally Wright grimaced at Niho, somewhat tired of all the male attention directed at her, although she was glad for the other man, Lief, who had evidently taken a liking to tipping her, then turned around at another crashing noise. What were these people's obsessions with noisy entrances? Sighing, she walked over to the woman, Abel Wraith, who was now in a bar stool, and put her hands on her hips. "Get your feet off the counter. This ain't your house." After a moment's waiting to increase the effect, she jumped over the bar and, again, attended to a customer's needs. She followed the woman's (Sammie Macchia) finger and quickly poured a glass of vodka for her, spilling a bit. "Damn," she cursed quietly. "This is why I don't drink during hours."

Sally Wright slowly turned around to watch what appeared to be the mental breakdown of a man demanding something to drink. For a moment she was confused, then she recalled him as the man whom she had left for a moment to take care of some other customers. "What? What did you say you wanted now, dear?", she asked, trying to pacify him.

Sally Wright took a step back, almost crashing into the wine table, rather startled at Casper's reaction. Reflexively she caught it, and placed it next to the bottle of Merlot she had opened previously. She grabbed the bottle, took a swig of it, and retorted, "Excuse me?! How dare you insult me! I am a free woman, and I don't quite care who and what you are! This is a respectable establishment, and you can say whatever you like, but don't you dare insult my workplace!" At the end of her speech she was hyperventilating, and took another drink, now leaning against the table for support. From across the room she motioned to one of the older barkeeps to take care of the people in the back, then quickly fixed her hair as she walked over to another new customer, Kizaemon, trying to ignore the events of thirty seconds ago.

Sally Wright blinked as the bar doors seemed to explode again, and quickly she dodged under the bar until the noise died down somewhat. "Damn heroes always destroying the doors... I told him to install the new titanium-reinforced doors, and what'd he do? Get the regular steel ones!" she muttered insolently under her breath as she got up, then began to cough a bit; some of the debris had formed a bit of a haze in the air. She plugged her nose, shut her mouth, and poured the man, Kizaemon, a glass of black tea, as she couldn't find any of this 'green tea' he was talking about. Sally handed the man the glass, with an apology -- "There's no more 'green tea' left," and then stopped as she came upon the pile of broken glass. "Where'd that come from?" she asked Kizaemon, and glanced sidelong to witness the man who had just yelled at her get his arms restrained by a giner woman.

Sally Wright nodded briskly at the man. "No, no need for that." She headed in the direction of Lief Cauldor and Niho, glancing curiously along the way at whatever Parson was doing in the dark, then tapped Niho's shoulder. "Misogynists tend to be the ones who're the rowdiest. What exactly do you think you're doing?" she asked bluntly and rudely.

Sally Wright glanced at Lief and performed the universal "He's a retard" hand motion, then gave Niho a withering stare. "Whatever you're doing, stop it." And with that, she was off -- within the next minute she had poured Damion Page a drink of water and finished up her Merlot.

Sally Wright watched Boldo walk in, and saluted him as he jumped the bar. "Glad to see you here. Fabulous day to be working, the janitors are going to have lots of fun with this mess," she said, sarcasm dripping from every word.
