Even as the Centaur reached down to take the stag, he might soon find little to pick up. "Well, you two babble, how about I settle the dispute now and take the animal for myself?" came a voice as a white blue passed them, attempting to swipe up the stag in pale arms and leap into the trees in one swoop.

"Early bird gets the worm, after all."

Wild laughter could be heard through the trees as the white figure slung through the canopy, somehow holding the stag while swinging past swiftly. She kept an eye behind her at the two, and as she watched the centaur notch his arrow, she spun, catching it into the stag's body to defend her own. She then continued on her path. Her hands moved so quickly that one would not, at first, see that she had more than the norm. She had ten arms, and she was only using six of them.

"I think if you both stopped idling something might have gotten done, but you all like to bicker far too much!" she called back to them.

The many-armed woman came to slow down, her eyes squinting from the light above. She held the stag behind her within three hands, trying to hold its weight as she stopped. She looked away for a moment, then back to the being before them. Or rather, whatever could be there. But there was nothing. Just a sense that they were not alone. The ground shook as a voice rang out, and she looked around, at first confused.

"Who's that?" she called, whipping around wildly as she placed herself onto a branch, legs bending.

She went toward it, arms maneuvering her easily through the woods and trees and toward this greater being. She blinked, looking at her with wonderment and fascination. Sagittae. So that was her name. All the while, the woman never dropped the stag, but her grip loosened a considerable amount. She touched her feet to the ground, then straightened her back. One pair of arms fell to her side, two pairs holding onto the animal, and the others holding onto one another.

The woman blinked, trying to speak all before the centaur lurched at her and pulled at the stag. Being a bit more top-heavy than most others, and only for the cause of her many arms, she toppled over easily and was dragged with the stag before she released it. She used four hands to push herself up, glaring with her slitted eyes as she shook her fists at him.

"Damn you! I was distracted!" she called, digressing before she sank into a sour scowl. She began to think, however. Eras? Meteors? What was all of this about?

"Don't get swept up by a stranger." he said to her before she left, sliding a piece of steak in the juices of the plate, soaking it up to flavor the meat. It dripped as he lifted it from the plate. "Could be something worse than a ten-armed freak this time."

His teeth chomped down onto the meat, and the juice in which it had soaked in poured down into his mouth and ran over his tongue as he chewed. No one would be able to tell by his stony expression, but yes. He was enjoying it. Quite a lot, in fact.

He looked at Taylor before she left, then rolled a shoulder back. Hmn.

"One vial of...dried Gryphon talons...a box, filled with the collection of Hydra eyes...and...oh, what might be hiding away from my sight in here?"

The voice spoke slowly, with an adoration and care that one could only liken to that of a mother speaking to a child. The sound of glass clanking against stone, boxes, cases, and tubes rattling and bumping against one another could be heard all too easily in the large sinkhole. Shelves decorated every wall and every inch of the vertical cave, and objects lay on them.

There was cloth hanging from the ceiling. Long white strips of cloth that measured hundreds of feel long, with large knots in them the whole way down every few feet. They descended into the darkness of the sinkhole, out of sight.

Hanging onto one of these strips of cloth was a pale woman, white as a ghoul. She wore a long cloak that draped from her shoulders. A few clumps of her black hair wrapped around her neck, as if it were a scarf, while other strands rolled freely down her back. She was exotic in features, with sharp, large slanted eyes and a thin upper lip disappearing behind a plump lower one.

She was normal, all for one thing: she was hanging by, not one hand, not two, but three, and she had two others stretched out to pick up a large jar with a red substance within it.

Into Gambit's walked a woman.

She wore a long, dark cloak that reached to the floor. The ends were frayed and the stained from dragging onto the ground. Softly, it brushed against wood of the floors, nearly masking what silent footsteps she had.

The cloak, at the top, splayed out a bit. Either the woman was hefty up top or she was hiding something. Even the latter. However, she did not seem panicked that it was so noticeable. The woman in question was pallid, like an albino, and her hair contrasting greatly with its black. It was so long that it wrapped around her neck as if it was a scarf.

She looked toward Christopher, giving him a critical gaze. She mumbled something to herself. Why, it would be a coincidence, as well. There was something she needed.

"Dried and powdered..." she mumbled, looking the dragon man up and down. She seated herself calmly, looking to Niho. Her eyes lingered.

The woman's green eyes flicked to Niho. She felt something about him, but she could not quite tell what. However, it put the smallest of smiles upon her face.

"Quite an offer. Are you really sure you want to pay? Not that I mind. I'm just not sure how disgusted you would be upon hearing the order." she informed him, looking to the bartender once before turning her head back to Niho.

"What's your name?"

A hand came up to the woman's chin, the other cupping her elbow. Her black lips pursed slowly. "A man of wealth and taste...well, might I consider myself lucky?" she purred, the same finger sliding down the line of her jaw.

She tapped the counter for the bartender, then jabbed a thumb to the back room. "You won't find it on the shelves. Uss. That's what it's called."

The woman folded her legs; long, white, shapely things. Her right palm landed onto her propped up, left knee.

As she waited for the drink, she bothered herself with this man. She tilted her head back, just slightly, and looked at him wit her eyes touching the bottoms of their lids.

"Saranna," she breathed, lips moving quickly, "That is my name."

Creature, he said.

Why, the woman nearly laughed for the irony. "A...lack...of supplies, you could say." she told Niho, spidery fingers latching onto a clear glass filled with a thick green liquid as it came.

"I have the very same inquiries about yourself. Tell me, what is it you practice? You do not feel..." She gave a shrug, splaying her hands. Only two of them.

"...completely natural."

Saranna's eyes flicked from the swords to his face. "Arcane arts?" she asked him. Her lips turned into a small frown. "Now, that does not sound like what I was expecting. Surely, Niho...there must be more."

He might have been able to see it. The devilish grin within her eyes. It did not reflect on her face other than those two mirrors.

"If you tell me, then I might be willing to tell you."

"Hmph!" laughed the woman, shaking the drink in her hand, round and round. "An adventurer, you say. I suppose that is exciting." She looked to the side, inspecting her nails. Mockery. However, something caught her attention.

"You search...taverns?" she queried. "For knowledge, magic, and power...oh, dear. I find that awfully endearing." Especially since her own tavern, her home, standing perfectly vertical, like a stone-carved hole in the earth, was filled with little things that held knowledge...were magical...and powerful.

"You should not be in a hurry in a place like this to...ah, search around. None of them are going to move anytime soon, after all. And there are plenty of them to find."

The woman's fingers tapped onto the counter, each in turn. All four, then the side nail of her thumb.

"It is a figure of speech. Nothing more." she said, letting a light chuckle fly. "Are you not familiar with it? You must not be from around here."

Funny how she was lying. Her tavern, after all...did move.

"Do not ask for statements and truths when you haven't given any of your own." she teased.

Saranna sucked in air through her teeth. "Young man." she said just as flatly. "At least I am creative in my dodging techniques. You, however, find it favorable to flat out tell a lie. In the very least, so I have guessed. Shall we stop playing the game? Are you far too sour?"

"That depends. What do you have in mind?" she shot back. "I feel as if there is more to you than you are letting on. Indeed, it is the same for me. In the very least, I am a witch. I suppose you would not be surprised. Dark arts phase me not. And I suspect...that perhaps...it may be the same for yourself?"

She extended one hand toward Niho, gesturing to him. "Or am I wrong?"

At first, she had not expected him to take her hand, but she was immediately glad that he did. Placing her drink down, she grabbed his wrist with the other.

"A necromancer! Well, well, well, the truth comes out at last. I felt as if I expected it." she voiced fluidly. She would try to pull him toward her, gently at first, then more forcefully if he resisted.

A third hand would pop out from underneath the cloak to grab his collar. "How curious you have...made me, N-"

She was cut off abruptly as the doors slammed open and a loud mouthed young lad came in. Quickly, sneakily, the third arm retreated into the cloak. Her sharp eyes glared up at John.

How unrefined.

One of Saranna's brows raised at Niho. She tried to laugh it off, a feign blush coming to her pale cheeks. Her free hand came to her chest.

"Oh! Isn't he funny? He thinks so ill of me!" she giggled, looking to the side bashfully. Even as the gun came to point at her head, she did not seem phased.

"Oh, no need for that, now. There isn't a thing I'd be able to do to you, really! I'm no demon."

It was not because she was superhuman. It was not as if she could not have done this with the only two hands she had. If she was shot in the head, yes, she would die. She may have found a temporary solution for aging, but she was not immortal.

Therefore, the second the young man began to speak, one of those many arms shot out from under the cloak, aiming for his elbow before he shot, trying to aim the barrel of the gun upwards and away from her head. It was a move any human with two arms could manage.

Except that with her, she was using a third arm.

Had she succeeded, she would try to pull away from Niho and roll her shoulders so that the cloak hung from her neck , revealing six arms in the open. In each splayed palm to the left, a dark sphere would light up with a ghoulish face within it. In each splayed palm to the right, similar spheres, these made of light, would appear, as well.

"Don't even try that again!"

"Honestly, I know what it must look like...but it's not true. In one sense of the word, yes, call me a demon. But in reality...I am a witch." she said to him, one hand on her hip, the other five up and ready to use.

"And I would like to think I am much classier than a demon. Honestly, it was an insult." she said, voice low, threatening. She had the perfect two spells to use in these six arms. Light magic for shielding, dark magic for offence.

However, it looked as if she might not need to use it. She tilted her head back again and chuckled. "Hmph. If you want to attack a demon, then the one who was grabbing me would be your culprit! A demon that raises the dead!"

She grinned at Niho. Oh, this would be amusing.

As Niho charged her, the witch could only sigh. She put forth an arm with a light orb in its palm and swiped it in the air horizontally. It created a white line in mid-air where Niho went to strike her. If he did not pull back his sword, his sword would react to the white mid-air line as if it had hit steel.

One hand on the other side came up; one with the dark orb. It was aimed straight for Niho, releasing the destructive, explosive dark energy within it.

Her eyes came to Strix. "You don't have to." she hissed.

Saranna folded one pair of arms. She was not frightened about not being ready simply because she had several others.

"It seems the odds are against you, Niho." she said as he walked out. She snickered under her breath and waved to him.

"Perhaps another time."

Saranna had one pair of arms folded, the second pair on her hips, and the third dangling at her side.

"Of course he did not. I cannot allow such a thing to happen." she told her haughtily.
