Scraw

A big, angry troll.

0 · 363 views · located in The Ruins

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by HitoriRaven

Description

Scraw is a 12 foot tall package of vaguely-green and ugly. He's also strong. There isn't much else to say, besides the fact that he simply likes to destroy things. Don't be fooled, he isn't quite as stupid as he looks or acts.

Wyldfae

A faerie not in service to either of the Courts ruled by the Sidhe. They do not serve unless Called.

So begins...

Scraw's Story

It was then that the doors of the bar violently burst open and Scraw rushed in on all fours, roaring. Someone had pointed him towards the bar, and it sounded like a great place to SMASH. And smash he did, or rather, he tried to. Scraw brought his fist down of the tables of the bar, spraying high-speed wood shrapnel everywhere. Unfortunately, the only the black substance that made up Gambit's showed out from under.

Scraw was deterred, but only for a second. He brought his head around, narrowing his beady eyes at the three in the bar. "Mortals." he growled. Mortals would smash, even if the accursed table would not.

Scraw lumbered over to the woman, and punched at her, when his fist met the barrier that she had erected. Said barrier would be met with a force that could easily punch through a solid steel wall. "Scraw smash mortals!" Oh, did he love smashing.

Thankfully for Ozella, Scraw's attention was distracted by the newcomers. More importantly, the man on the ground. Scraw sniffed at the air, before his not-so-small brain processed the thought. "Wizard!" he bellowed, and began a charge towards Nathan, aiming to bring his fist down on top of the fallen man. Everyone and everything else was not so important as smashing a wizard.

Scraw shook himself off, like a dog, to recover from the blow. The needles from the man were unfortunately ineffective against him, and the chairs and tables were also very useless deterrents. He brushed the aside as if they were very small rocks, and continued his stomping after Nathan. "Smash wizard!" In a fit of brilliance, Scraw picked up a nearby table and threw it at the man before he continued walking.

With a lazy lumber, Scraw continued towards the wizard behind the counter. "Silly wizard, I just smash that too!" he called out, reaching out to bring his fist down on said counter. His tiny eyes vaguely registered the small faerie that had appeared, but he didn't quite understand what had happened, and simply continued his assault.

Scraw didn't have the gall to be insulted like Blossombottom was, but he did look a good amount angrier. There was a noticeable change in speed in the troll's gait, and he changed direction towards Nathan.

"I come and smash you, wizard, don't worry." he snarled, raising his fists in preparation to smash the man. And when a twelve-foot tall, 500+ pound wall of mean comes at you, he means it.

The troll trumpeted his pain, lashing out randomly at Nathan in a hurt attempt to knock back the man, before retreating a few steps. He ripped out the nails carefully, small burn marks left where the nails had pierced him. He looked warier, but he was also considerably enraged.

"Wizard use iron! Scraw smash wizard!" Scraw wasn't the smartest troll in Faerie, but you had to give him credit for resilience.

Scraw yelped in pain, scrambling to get away from the fire that burned his back, tossing anything he could get his hands on behind him. He ended up in a roll, steam coming off of his back, and he turned his head to glare at the woman who had just entered. "Wizard lady use fire! Scraw smash you too!"

In another fit of brilliance, he picked up a nearby table to use as a shield as he approached the woman. A wooden table. He was smart, but not THAT smart. It went without saying that the man with the gun was ignored.

The bullets pierced through the table, digging themselves into the troll's thick skin. Unfortunately, all that happened was a growl of annoyance, right before the burst of flame caught the table on fire, forcing the troll to throw it at the wizard towards the direction of her flame.

"Wizard lady keep using fire, Scraw smash!" Having run out of options, he simply landed on all fours, and charged Jean at a faster than would be expected speed.

Scraw grunted as his charged was interrupted by Nathan's spell, and while his feet couldn't move, his momentum carried him right past Jean into the wall. The troll was stunned for a moment, simply sitting and looking confused. As he began to recover, he yelled, "Wizard use magic against Scraw. Scraw no like! Once Scraw get out, he SMASH puny wizards!"

Scraw's head snapped towards Nathan as his Name was called. He bared his fangs at the man, stumbling to his fists and dragging his legs behind him. With the troll equivalent of a glare, he grunted, "Scraw doesn't work for anyone. Scraw just smash places and bars and wizards."

Scraw could have almost sighed, but even he knew the drill. "Scraw doesn't work for anyone. Scraw just smash things." He glanced warily down at the tire iron.

"Wizard man doesn't need to jump to conclusion. Scraw don't like Winter or Summer. Both make Scraw do things that don't involve smashing."

A grunt of acknowledgement was accompanied by a growl of anger, but Scraw nodded. "Scraw stop smashing and leave. Only if wizard man fix Scraw's legs." he pointed out. With a shake, the bullets embedded in his skin fell loose, and he snapped his fangs at the man with the gun.

The troll nodded, getting to his feet. He was essentially bound by its promise, and held true, stumbling out of the bar. As a last fit of anger, he kicked a chair into a wall before ducking out of the bar, and disappearing into the storm. The time for smashing was over that day.

The man who had woken up halfway through the fight stood, and clapped his hands as he walked towards Nathan. As usual, he was wearing a faded t-shirt and jeans, and his arms and hands were covered with bracelets and rings. "Well handled, my friend. Apologies for not helping, but I am not exactly the strongest wizard." Vyn gave a small bow, smiling at the man. "My name is Vyn."

"I'm an apprentice, yes, but not exactly sent." Vyn laughed, before bringing his gaze back to Nathan. "I came on a learning trip, so to say, so I hope you do not mind if I tag along on your forays."

He then turned to Haruo with an apologetic smile, backing up the faerie. "Any complicated machinery tends to fail around wizards like us, especially if we are flinging around spells."

The corners of lips turned down into a frown, and he sighed. "I bet she would not, no doubt." Vyn made his way to the bar, taking a large gulp lamentably from the wineskin, like some old drunk. Only, he wasn't old. Occasionally, he would glance towards Cinder.

His frown deepened at her actions, but he was split between acting and letting her do her own thing. After all, she had gotten mad at him earlier. For now, Vyn deigned to do anything.

Vyn smirked as he flipped the knife, snatching it from the air by the hilt. "Dear daughter, I have no idea what you are talking about. I simply left you alone, and yet you tried to get rid of me, by forcing the satyr-" he made a face "to challenge me foolishly. In simpler terms...you screwed yourself over, dear daughter." With a casual shrug, he turned pointedly away from her.

"You can ask her yourself, I have no idea why she would want it either. But obviously, you exist."

Vyn paused, not only because it was obvious she wouldn't move, but because of something she said. "Gr..wait..what!? Our daughter is a virgin? Dammit, that makes it worse! Move out of the way, Lhia."

With a worried sigh, he continued glaring at her. "Name your offer."

The man drew a patchwork broadsword, grinning all the while. "Ya know what they say; if ya lose, it's stupidity, but it ya win, it's courage." His own turquoise eyes flickered over the women before glancing over the gangsters.

He didn't give them a chance to surround them, hamstringing one man before using the momentum to clip another on the side of the head with the flat of his blade. Sangrei moved quickly, knocking out a third with a hilt to the face. Thankfully, they were nice and close together.

Spinning around to face the last few gangsters, he commented, "Maybe ya should leave the lady alone. Though my guess is that she probably doesn't need my help."
