Sin Aspholdel Background Part 1

Sin Asphodel born second in the line of the current Asphodelians throne. He was consevevd in battle, when his mother and father( Sky, Thorone Asphodel) in a deep blood frenzy. Evan born as a mistake his Q-imprint was felt throughout the whole Asphodelians race and evan unknown other in the naboring galaxy. Eight-month before his birth his blood awaking still inside his mother womb, it almost killed her the process. When an Asphodelians blood wakening is usually happens when the child is in his or her 17 birth mouth, his brother Rin Asphodel was the earliest before Sin at age 12. The process is extremely unpredictable, some Asphodelians go mad in a from of a blood rage that has no end in till the Asphodelians is completely destroyed or if there is no life for it to consume in the area he or she will starve in till they can feed again. For the most part the blood awaking unlocks knowledge of that person history that goes back hundred- thousands years. In some it unlocks advance insight of the world around them witch in turn grants them magic they need cast spells. At this stage they will find out that if there able to spell-cast or if they have the baserker-gene. After that stage they will see how powerful the mind of the Asphodelians work after the blood awaking full effect.
Sin was a special case as you might of imagined. Unlocking his blood evan before he was born made him a prim-target for just about everyone evan his own people will use him to advance in power if given a chance to. Growing up was different for Sin than other Asphodelians, he was training with Asphodelians adults at age 5, because their were nobody in his skill level and power to keep up with him. Also as Sin grows up his speed, strength, cunning, intelligent, and spell-power magnify over the years. Casting spells that would took other Asphodelians Achcannise years to master, only take Sin matter of mins to master. Sky (Sin mother) Felt that Sin will change everything when he becomes of age, and made it her mission in life to make that happen.
Joining the Asphodelians Reaver Core was a big shock to all. Instead of his father and brother, Sin felt that there way was not his path to follow. Asphodelians Reaver Core are responsible for the recon, espionage, and takeing out high tear targets that the Asphodelians invading main force declare a treat. They are also task with clearing clan-less Asphodelians nests, outpost, an lone Asphodelians that make there way to mercenary bands that would accept them and sell them in battles to always gives them an upper hand on the battlefield. But whatever Sin is he will change evarything in the world and maybe yours as well.

David smirked and listened to the young man. Ballsy plays always seemed to bring something out in the opulent CEO as he reached into his jacket and produced a rather strange business card.

"Mr. Valentine, I' rather shocked and amazed if I can be so blunt, I'd never imagined that someone would have looked into my own business only to present an opportunity such as this." David began to lay it on thick only to then take another drought of his drink. "The edacity of it all to think that I could pass up such a fine opportunity without even getting more of the details might even seem more of a rookie move than any of those suckers down at Logicroad." Mr. Malachite began to laugh a little only to offer his card over to the young man. "Just so we are clear I can find specimens and artifacts without the aid of some upstart. But, I like your moxie, I also cannot say that you've not piqued my interests. Arrive at the address on the card and we will talk shop."

Helga simply stood waiting only to have a lone man leaving bump into her. "Excuse you." She muttered only to return to her duties.

Obake was still sitting in the cockpit of his spacejet, waiting to be addressed by the landing party over his radio. But there was no response, only static. He then decided to be the first to communicate. Pushing a button on his screen, Obake's ship suddenly took total control over the rooftop's entire telecommication system, including all sonar and sound frequencies. Upon doing this, everything would become momentarily dead silent. Guests were still dancing and moving their lips in conversation, but there was no sound at all, not even at the lowest frequency. This sudden ability to nullify all sound didn't take very long for the dancing and lip moving to stop, causing mass hysteria almost instantly, especially amongst the guards whose earpieces and microfones no longer functioned. After a moment, the sound pulse faded allowing everyone on the rooftop to hear normal again. Their telecoms, speakers and mics were still not functional, but at least they could hear themselves talk and communicate verbally without any electrical sound equipment.

Obake then pushed another button, tapping into the guard's radio frequencies while allowing them to work again. This would only effect those on the rooftop level though, with such strange events being completely undetectable by anyone inside the Mars Corps building who didn't have a radio of some sort (or incredibly sensitive hearing). After tapping into the MarsCorp station's radio frequency, Obake introduced himself. "This is White Eagle to MarsCorps Security, come in security, over." Obake looked at his screen, not surprised to see that his craft was entirely surrounded on all sides by a 360-degree circle of weapons aimed directly at his vessel. He briefly wondered how long it would take them to figure out that they couldn't penetrate his shields, but he quickly brushed the thought aside and pushed the button again. "Again this is White Eagle to MarsCorp Security, come in security, over." Obake tried a second time to communicate with someone on the rooftop. He kept his hand on the joystick the entire time, knowing it could pop off at any second.

Just then, Obake's u-flies informed him that some more ships had appeared directly in front of their location. The autonomous bugbots reacted immediately, swarming around the ships which now had weapons pointed at the Asphodelian fleet. Obake's bugbots were small, very small, as they began to fly in by the thousands around the Taiyou fleet, prodding the Taiyou ships as they swarmed around them. The winged drones were composed of utonium based alloy, a very rare and unique hybrid metal alloy stronger than even most magically enchanted metals. Obake's bugbots were made of basically the same substance as his dagger, which was known to cut diamond and adamant like butter. More rare than unobtainium or badassium, the hybrid alloy used in constructing his u-flies was immune to all forms of magic, electricity, magnetism, radioactivity, plasma, gravity, time manipulation, divination, elemental forces, ultrasonics and radar detections, among other things. This was because Obake's bugbots were also powered by etherine, which was unlike any other power or force. As the miniature drones prodded the Taiyou ships harmlessly for any vents, cracks or crevices, they immediately began collecting data which was forwarded to Obake's computer.

Still waiting for a MarsCorp officer to respond to his radio signal, Obake recieved another message from Prince Sin asking him what to do about the Taiyou ships which had just appeared. Obake advised the Asphodelian commander to standby, something which most Asphodelians didn't even understand the meaning of. But Sin trusted Obake as his royal advisor, even against his Asphodelian brother's poorer judgment. Obake sat idle, waiting impatiently while hoping that Prince Sin would command his troops to do the same.

Obake was also hoping that by establishing some form of communication, a preventable conflict might possibly be avoided...

For an act of obvious and unfathomable idiocy a response was warranted for something so deserving.

The first mistake was the 'ambassadors' last as Mars Corps. artificial intelligence turned its attention away from one obvious pain in its digital neck to the more annoying target which essentially painted itself red as it needed to tap into the systems in order to get to those coms which security was attached. It wasn't hard for Atom 7K to bypass the obvious lack of major security which the personal shuttle was equipped with. It wasn't even difficult for the A.I to look over the programs which seemed to be running silently as he simply unleashed all the ICE to drown out Obake's A.I. with malicious code and viruses which would wreak havoc upon the computers files and programs as they would attempt to either purge or quickly counter the major hacking attempts. Mars Corp was rather proud of their destructive little A.I. as it not only began to take care of business but also inform major security heads of the sudden breach. This anomaly would not leave the Gala without giving its proper thanks to the Host and apologize for its reckless behavior.

==================================================================================

Helga and Douglas both excused themselves from the party after suddenly being silenced only to make their way to the source of the problem. As soon as they had both left the prying eyes of their peers at the party each began to take on their roles very seriously. Douglas simply cast aside his mask and was handed his cane from an intern only to smirk and vanish from reality only to appear right before Obake and his ship. Helga on the other hand called upon her armor from Hammerspace and donned her battle suit quickly just to shift from one locale to another with a pistol and sword in hand. Obake would indeed be surrounded by gun and blade and every member of the security showed no sign of backing down.

"Let's get this straight shall we." Douglas spoke up only to bring the butt of his cane up towards ship. The Gentleman began to etch several magic circles in the air before him which began to form above and bellow the ship itself. Helga on the other hand began to conjure a strange tome before her very person as her shadow took the form of an eldritch creature which stood by her side. The woman simply began chanting and empowering Douglas and his spellcasting as she began to read from the book bound to her soul.
Image

Every word Hegla spoke and every intricate mark Douglas marked upon the air would hold the ship in place. It was not directly affecting the ship itself but the very laws of nature and reasons that surrounded the vessel itself preventing it from acting as it normally would. Though the ship itself was immune to magic the dimensions around it could be altered and shaped.

"Khepa Khepa..." Douglas began his own chanting as more symbols began to be etched into the before him. The reality around the ship began to warp and twist as several portals of each of the elements would simultaneously open around the vessel whilst walls of light began to envelop the very space around the sorcerers target. "....Ra Asperuk.."

================================================================================

In another realm a large hatted wizard began to itch his noes only to note the calling of a pact once long thought forgotten. It was a bargain once struck that needed to be forged and completed and so the necessary requirements would be fulfilled. Mystical energies flowed from across the plains towards Douglas and Helga who continued their own spell work whist the master wizard with the mammoth sized hat just sat back and watched from his massive library.

Meanwhile back with Atom 7K and his holy works more programs would easily fall to his whim as his agents began to work with little resistance if any. The use of the drones that Obake used would easily be caught up in the little tidbit as everything was either tied to one program or system which would fall drastically sense the only thing that could attempt to stop the agents now was a measly firewall. Atom 7K began to catalog every bit of information that was available only to run a background check upon Obake and his cohorts. If the man expected to be an ally to Mars Corp he was surely mistaken. The engines to Obake's ship would suddenly find themselves cut and silenced as Atom 7K would begin his work of containing the other A.I. only to delete the annoyance permanently.

Prince Sin of Asphodel gave a sinister smirk as the Taiyou ships appeared suddenly within ripples of timespace, pointing 50cm nuke cannons and shock cannons directly at his fleet. He contacted Majister Obake for advice on what to do next. Being asked to stand his ground without attacking, Sin trusted Obake's advice, much to his subordinate's dismay. Sin sent a message to one of the battle carriers, directing the R.R.T. to ready their deployment.

Everything was working perfectly according to Sin's plan. The Asphodelian fleet quickly took a spearhead formation with Soulburst at the head of the formation, pointing directly back at the Taiyou fleet. Soon, the Asphodelian ships would exchange forces and combined shields, adding power to their overall defensive systems in the process. The omnite source of power manipulating the massive forcefield was impenetrable to almost anything, with the exception of some unique powers found only on their Asphodelian planet in the Bluestar Galaxy.

It didn't take the watchers on Soulburst very long to acquire an update of Obake's situation. Atom7K responded like most electrical and radio fed A.I. systems would respond, by subjecting Obake's control system to a barrage of hacks and viruses which would ultimately prove ineffective as Star informed Obake of ICE's intentions. The power crystal at Star's core was a pyramite unit which operated using etherine rather than electricity or magic. All the droid was doing was bouncing electronic codes and signals into nowhere, something which must have been difficult for most conventional droids to compute without error.

Even the thrusters and engines on Obake's spacejet seemed to be unaffected by the A.I.'s attempt to bypass his control system. Prince Sin could only imagine what Star's response to Atom 7K's signals would be, but Sin knew very well that Obake's u-flies would also be unaffected, since they too were composed of utonium based alloys and powered by etherine. Sin respected Obake's preference for etherine based technology, but was personally still more fond of omnite power, which the Asphodelian species had been using for thousands of years.

Omnite was the exact opposite of etherine, but still just as powerful. It too was unaffected by magical forces, computer viruses, electromagnetic pulses and nuclear weapons. Omnite was a highly unstable form of dark energy which operated under its own laws, being incredibly difficult to harness. The Asphodelians themselves had discovered omnite on their home planet long ago and were the only ones in the Hadroda Universe known to possess it.

Prince Sin peered through his visor towards the command deck as his guards and troops stood at attention, ready to take orders from his command. Reaver class Asphodelians suddenly teleported to the top of every Asphodelian ship, three mages on each ship, seventy five Reavers altogether, standing in the vacuum of space on the outside surface of each ship. Because the Reavers were immune to outer space and did not require air to breathe, they walked across the outside of their own spaceships with little difficulty. Drawing something akin to magical runic symbols in the space around their ships using finger and hand motions, the Reavers started their enchantment, all of them combining forces to cast a single purpose.

Cedric took the card and placed it in his jacket pocket. That was all the room he needed, a foothold in the MV, and now he had one. There was a great deal of other business he still needed to attend to, but the ball could start rolling now.

As Cedric stood in thought he noticed something take the attention of all the security in the room, in fact every Mars Corp employee, right up to Mr. Malechite himself, seemed to turn with a singular focus to one problem at hand.

He had heard the sudden silence, the awkward ending of conversation despite nobody seemingly ending any conversation. He couldn't help but think that the narrators, beings he had learned about in his travels between the very realms of existence, existing even outside of that space where his own familiar did, would not take kindly to this seeming breach of good form. Someone, somewhere, was playing with things they aught not. Cedric, having succeeded in his intentions, felt it was time to make his exit.

It was well enough, as David Malechite had vanished himself, along with a number of others who Cedric had assumed to be part of his security. The only others he may have had reason to interact with, the royalty, had already made their swift exits in the face of an uneasy situation.

Cedric turned toward the exit and took a step. Blinking his eyes, he disappeared.

#, as written by Obake
Meanwhile, Obake was still waiting impatiently inside the protection of his spacejet as I.C.E. personnel surrounded his craft with weapons. "I detect a disturbance, master." Star was picking up on Atom 7K's attempts to override her programming with codes and viruses."Shall I terminate the source?" Star asked in a rather strange and sexy way. She appeared to be unaffected by the viruses, as she absorbed the data from each of the droids codes in order to study them. By that point, Obake was thinking quickly on what to do next. Despite the change in situation, Obake seemed to remain perfectly calm.

It was as if he was already way too used to being in these sort of situations, as he shut off the wavelengths to his radio, nullifying any chance of communication with the MarsCorp security. "Close systems. Activate deflect shields," Obake commanded, ignoring Star's offer and her seductive voice. Immediately, she carried out his orders. Within miliseconds of his command, Obake's spaceship started to send out it's own artificial electrical signals, bouncing Atom 7K's own information back at itself. "I told you she was sexy," Obake winked and smiled while seemingly speaking to himself since nobody else could hear him.

As the Asphodelian fleet was making plays in the sky, Obake was also at work on the building's rooftop, pushing buttons on his screen while activating something else down below using a switch on his joystick. Suddenly, the solid black triangular craft that had landed previously below the MarsCorp building started being animated again on the planet's surface. The triangular craft would slowly start charging up as the wings unfolded, transforming the entire UFO into some kind of powerful energy generator as a large central unit emerged from out of the middle of the unmanned craft, revealing a large pyramite crystal engine in the shape of a vortex.

As the fields around the craft slowly became distorted, the pyramite crystals would start to glow neon blueish white. The central unit started generating etherine and storing it in the vortex within the engine. The unique power source was so bright it would've been permanently blinding to anyone who attempted to gaze upon it directly. As the triangular craft started powering up, a soft humming noise could be heard faintly coming from the power source. Vibrations caused the nearby rocks and stones around the craft to levitate and hover in a circle around the vortex.

Still in his own spacejet at the opposite side of the corporate A building, Obake watched as Douglas and Helga started performing a magical enchantment which manipulated the space outside of Obake's spacejet and his u-flies. Obake himself was unaffected, but the space and laws of nature outside his craft were slowly being mingled with. This appeared to have no effect on his hybridized utonium based u-flies, which were immune to time and space manipulation, among other things. Despite the enchantment, Obake's bugbots continued on their course around the Taiyou fleet, their etherine power source never shorting out or failing. Within moments after hitting another button on his screen, Obake's personal spacejet on the rooftop was directly linked to the triangular spacecraft at the base, placing the entire MarsCorp skyscraper in the center between both crafts, with everyone who didn't leave either still on the rooftop or still inside the building.

Obake's triangular unmanned spacecraft appeared to have been unnoticed, or had somehow been overlooked by the MarsCorp personnel. Obake was willing to bet they would notice it now...

And like that, Koishi disappeared into the ether once more...perhaps out of boredom, or perhaps she sensed the incoming danger. Regardless, she left the illusory lion behind to spook some people while she was away.

Meanwhile...

The men in charge of calling in back-up were immediately alerted to the situation unfolding before them. It was rather quickly getting out of hand, and would lead to chaos. And because of that, combat. Buttons were pressed, orders were made. The ships that were being readied as back-up proceeded to make their jumps in as the ship holding the ambassador left for an unknown region of space.

With the back-up came a half a dozen more Guardian-Class Cruisers as well as two dozen Damnation-Class Cruisers, and a single Tactical Command Cruiser to lead them with the veteran Grand Admiral Dirk Eskes as the commanding officer of this crew. He wasn't the highest of Grand Admirals, but he was renown for his superior tactical mindset due to the amount of cybernetics he had installed within him to increase his mental faculties. One could say his brain was more machine than it was flesh...

In a mechanically deepened voice which echoes slightly, Grand Admiral Eskes spoke out to his men through the ship comms. "Ready weapons and shields. The birds in the sky are going to get a lick of our superior battlefield tactics." Eskes grinned and swiped a hand over a hologram to start altering some of his own ship's settings himself. "When I give the go-ahead, you may fire at will. Target the unknown vessels. Leave civilians and other groups alone unless they attack you."

a curious ancient

The Cā€™tan had left Terra months back, his mastery of the materium allowed him to traverse the multiverse and innumerable galaxies in little time at all. He had been feeding off the radiation from the star, though now the increasing number of ships above that one planet in particular.

He waited, it looked to him now there were two fleets moving to defend or was that to attack, he wasnā€™t sure and kept his distance. Absorbing the radiation from the star, hiding himself in its light, growing in power by the second, he knew for certain that one of the fleets was defending the planet.

After but a brief few moments as the intensity of the situation grew Magā€™ladroth had come to land upon the planetā€™s moon, able to observe silently from his new position, his energies snapping at the ground, bolts of green energies strike the rock and crack it making small craters.

Though, from here the ancient being could observe two fleets in defence and one very obviously being a threatening force, with a heavy sigh, the silvery sheening beast laid its body upon the ground

By now, she was safely aboard the Mizuho, having slipped aboard in the commotion, with her two guardians in tow.

The Bugbots, that was the first thing the Mizuho's intelligence informed the Princess of, displaying them on a large display screen that was superimposed on the "Sky" above the forest that surrounded Yukiko, whom was situated at the foot of the royal tree 'Mizuho'

The Royal Trees were sentient entities that were connected to a hyper-dimensional being the Taiyou called Tsunami, Engineered, and cared for by an ancient and powerful race called the Matokey, these trees could be bound to genetically compatible people, allowing them to communicate, and work as a team together.

Mizuho was in no way subservient to Yukiko, but rather worked with her in a symbiotic relationship.

A strange energy was pushing the Bugbots away from the Mizuho, but it wasn't exactly energy, considering the Etherine bugbots should have been immune, but they strangely weren't.

In fact, the closer they tried to get to the Mizuho, the more their strange properties were being stripped from them. They were being acted upon by an entity that existed beyond all existence, a Chousin Goddess as the Taiyou described.

"We are ready to leave, go ahead and let the rest of the fleet know, Mizuho."

"Yes Ma'am." The voice replied.

The signal went out, and one by one the ships began powering their hyperdrives, surging forward into a misty-shimmering blue wormhole and disappearing from the planet's orbit.

The Mizuho was the last to follow suit, as the very essence of time and space bent around it, the ship faded into nothing and vanished once the last Taiyou ship jumped away.

#, as written by Obake
Obake looked to see what the heir of the Asphodelian Kingdom was doing. As expected, his fleet had moved into a spearhead formation. Meanwhile, Obake noticed something which caught his attention immediately. His u-flies (bugbots made of utonium alloy) were starting to act dysfunctional as they approached the Taiyou ships. This was strange, as Obake's miniature drones also contained evrite, a symbiotic living metal with anphotosynthetic properties. Evrite could absorb omnitic anti-energy, and could be found only amongst the Asphodelian species. Even more peculiar, Obake's bugbots had a pyramite central processing unit which could also store omnitic anti-energy for military purposes. The u-flies were being animated by omnite in its purest form, was then enhanced by a similar power to that of the Mizuho, which Obake refered to as etherine. In all of his years of research, etherine was the only energy strong enough to counter omnite. All of this could only mean one thing. There was mingling going on in the realms outside of the Multiverse, as only a combined power among the gods was capable of such incredible results effecting Obake's machinery.

Being stripped of all of their properties, Obake's bugbots were artificially intelligent enough to back off and trail behind Mizuho from a safer distance where they'd be less effected by the incredible forces that acted upon them. Obake sent feeds to Prince Sin aboard Soulburst, keeping the Asphodelians informed. By now, the triangular black craft at the bottom of the MarsCorp building was generating more momentum as its vortex engine was powered to an immense intensity, brighter than a million suns. Strangely enough, the waves sent out by the energy crystal would counter the Mizuho's power, as the black craft was powered by something more. Obake's bugbots would sense these signals like tiny raptors, closing in immediately upon the Taiyou ships once again, more particularly the Mizuho itself this time. A few bugbots would effectively attach themselves to Taiyou ships as the Evrite was of symbiotic origin, their over-powered pyramite needles stabbing the Taiyou ships like tiny mosquitos. But just as the swarm of bugbots was about to engulf Mizuho's fleet, the Taiyou suddenly disappeared. Obake hit a button on his etherine based computer screen. Soon, the bugbots started returning to Soulburst as Obake's triangle continued to generate more and more power. By now, the stones that had been levitated previously around the vortex were also starting to glow as they contained elements which could not sustain the power of Obake's device.

Time was of the essence. He typed a few more buttons on his screen, causing the crystal vortex inside the black triangle to send out anti-magical wavelengths by bending the wavelengths and frequencies that already existed. Suddenly, not just the mages and archmages, but all magical beings would find their abilities useless against such an invention. Obake's thrusters powered up again. Even before this, his spacejet was kept hovering by magnetical forces above the ground, and then by manipulation of the spacial dimensions around Obake's personal craft. As his thrusters started glowing blueish white, however, Obake slowly pulled up on his joystick, enabling Star to launch slowly and vertically up into the sky again and away from the MarsCorp building. Perhaps to their surprise, Obake was withdrawing out of their reach back into the air from whence he had arrived. The whole entire time, he never once lost his calm, even as he was forced to make several calculations every other second. His altered kironic mindset was on the verge of super-intelligent, as the majister anticipated his every move. All the while, Soulburst and the fields around the Asphodelian fleet were getting stronger and more powerful. It was hard to imagine what they might do.

Majister Obake was still in total control of his situation. "Star, program these coordinates." Obake typed in a few numbers on his screen, before switching stations. "Mk'skona tyat vomalia'ska," Obake said over Prince Sin's comlink, as both of them were using the same technology. Saying this, Obake's craft continued on it's straight vertical course into the clouds. Only a faint humming sound could be heard coming from Obake's ship as it ascended into the atmosphere. The triangle was still operating and growing in power at near unfathomable levels of energy. Hitting another button on his screen, however, caused the machine to stop producing etherine while keeping it stored inside the crystal vortex.

The triangular vessel, which had blossed more like a flower due to its evritic abilities, was now glowing brighter than a million suns. Ironically, the glowing pyramite crystal appeared to remain cold to the touch, as if something had been intentionally removed to make them stable.

an enraged Cā€™tan

From his front row upon the moon orbiting the planet, he watched as the taiyou fleet left, he stood from laying upon the stone and took to the void once more, the inertialess drive constructed into his body activated and in the blink of an eye he was spead up to the speed of light, he used this new speed to race towards the planet to deal with the problem there, first off, and the fleet would then feel the wrath of the void dragon.

As he flew heā€™d encompass half the system in his aura of influence and control, technologies thought unhackable, yield to the void dragon's power, by his mere presence alone, passing Magistar Obakeā€™s shuttle. Mag'ladrothā€™s tail would whip out and attempt to sever the ship in half, the Necromundis, a silvery looking metal, that made up the body of the void dragon, would form into a mono-molecular blade, the tail would ā€˜phaseā€™ through, irrespective of shields or armors and physical properties, severing the ship in twine.

Passing on by the Marā€™s Corp. building, heā€™d arrive at the device underneath, opening his mouth heā€™d release a torrent of anti-matter from his maw, the anti-matter engulfing the bright lit up flower like machine, and wiping it from existence in seconds as its atoms are disintegrated when the anti-matter comes into contact. Any shielding the device might have destabilized and brought down in the first few seconds by the antimatter breath weapon.

Any remaining antimatter would be reabsorbed into the energies of the void dragon, its attention turning to the Asphodelian Fleet, heā€™d fly out into the void to meet it, any of those pesky U-flies would be disintegrated if they got within a kilometer of the dragon, his powers over the materium though limited in this piece of the multiverse, he could still render them unpowered. Leaving them to float aimlessly in the void.

The metal dragon glared at the capital ship and with green lightning and electricity bursting from a console upon the command deck the ancient beast spoke to those upon the deck. ā€œI will give you but one warning, leave, or iā€™ll single handedly decimate your entire fleet and leave no survivorsā€ the console would explode, once Magā€™ladroth had withdrawn his presence from it.

the Mythic being

YvandĆr had been forming everyone into an orderly group as best he could and again unaffected by the attempts to control the MARS corp. Building, his mythic powers becoming more and more visible, his veins glowing with golden energies and the only visible eye also changing from blue to a golden colour, those of less intent and more normal of lives, would be gathered first.

He made a quick prayer to the goodly gods he served as herald in ages past, though heā€™d turn back reaching for his blade to see the after image of the Cā€™tan star god plummet by the building. Heā€™d shake his head and begin getting everyone out. ā€œGods damned dragonsā€

Fortunately, the precognitive nature of Marlene's mind allowed her to anticipate some of the hiccups, and buffer her mind to protect itself against the incoming onslaught of data. Marlene's mind processed it quickly, by buffering it out, and focusing her own thoughts. Marlene also managed to keep her own consciousness relatively isolated, while focusing on the mental 'White room' that she tried to keep them in.

But the sadness was overwhelming, the woman sensed a lot of pain, a lot of sadness in the Princess's mind, and it had a profound, and intimate effect on her own psyche.

Halena let her into her mind, and Halena took the first step towards the path to enlightenment, so now it was time for Marlene to open up to the other, to let her own mind cascade fourth.

Marlene smiled, and telepathically spoke.

"There's more, I'm going to let you in." She wanted to see if Halena could truly comprehend the steps she was about to take, but she knew that she would be completely opening her own mind to the child before her, Aschen state secrets, everything. It didn't matter, the Asylians could wipe the Aschen out, and so she took a gamble.

Marlene closed her eyes, and opened her mind to Halena. The Child would be bombarded with a sensation of pure agony, but it wasn't her own, the agony she felt was that of Marlene, the agony of being separated from ascension, but there was more, there was thousands of years worth of memories.

Marlene's childhood was the most traumatic, memories of the Aschen Confederation invading her homeworld of Yellowstone, memories of Aschen soldiers moving through the streets, door to door, dragging people out, the memories were clear, and they were vivid.

Yellowstone gave way to the lush, verdant green of Langara, and the emotions of sadness, and hatred followed. Hatred for a man that was a father figure, a man that visited unspeakable evil that left the child scarred, there was pain, a great deal of agonizing pain.

The memories were like a maelstrom, some were significant events in Marlene's life, like her first kiss. Others were the minutia of her day to day interactions on Langara.

Marlene was standing in front of a strange man in a black suit.

"Do you solemnly swear to protect and defend the interests of the Aschen Confederation of Planets, as an Agent of the Langaran Defense Agency, with every fiber of your being?"

"I do."

The Chaos of memories shifted, a memory of Marlene standing in a large room overlooking a console, and a massive device of some kind.

"They call it the Potentia, Project Shimshon, a device that, if activated will wash clean all life from this galaxy. If our society falls, we'll take this galaxy with it.."

Marlene looked down in the memory, taking a small, yet technical looking crystal into her hand, She worked quickly to suppress it, but the memory had already flowed fourth.

Another memory followed, they were in a bar of some kind, arguing passionately over someone, the woman in Marlene's mind was named Ari, they were arguing over a Randin Kaye before Ari stabbed Marlene in the chest, searing pain followed, followed by more emotions of agony, and then calm, as Marlene gazed upon a being enrobed in a brilliant white light, another ascended being.

"The success or failure of your deeds, does not add up to the sum of your life. Your spirit cannot be weighed. Judge yourself by the intentions of your actions, and by the strength with which you faced the challenges that have stood in your way. The Universe is vast and we are so small. There is really only one thing we can ever truly control... whether we are good or evil."

There was a warm light, the feeling of peace, an absolute, and overwhelming flood of knowledge, and understanding that was now being shared freely with the child. Marlene's own ascension, as she shed her physical body was a unique sensation, as she lay there on the bar floor, dying.

The white realm returned, Marlene having stemmed the flow from her own mind. Physically, the blonde was holding her head, exhaustion had begun to set in, as she relived the last few thousand years in her mind, her fragile psyche overwhelmed. One thing Halena would learn, was a hair's breadth kept Marlene from true insanity.
