Eastern Wing City; Imperium Offices

With each step Helisma took down the vaulted hall, she clinked a little. The rhythmic sound echoed off of empty, concrete walls with each footfall. Mostly it was the ornate, jeweled scabard of her Greatsword, fastened at the waist as was tradition, and nearly scraped the ground. The fact she wore her full plate battle regalia didn't help either.

She had hoped to showcase her severite, and respect to the legendary Commissar, but as the long hall ended she felt more than a little overdressed.

"More like out of place.."

Her feeling of unease grew as she reached the door to Cain's office. A plain, unadorned wooden block, with only his name carved at the top. It fit the humble hero she thought, as her gauntleted hand lifted to knock. She paused for a deep breath, and the familiar fear of her Orders looming disbandment crept up her spine.

"No.. Cain is by all accounts a wise man, he will understand.." Her gauntlets creaked as her fists clenched, the words of the Ecclisiarcy's letter seared in her mind. "He must."

Gathering her courage she knocked, brisk and heartily.

"So Jurgen, any new reports come in yet?" The famous and well known Commisar, Ciaphas Cain spoke to his trusted aid. Gunner Jurgen, the man who has kept him alive ever since he was assigned to him. Of course with no window to prop open to let the smell of unwashed socks air out, he was relying on the vents to air some of it out.

"Sir, while we were busy helping that prisoner of the Shadow Legion. The Shadow Legion struck at a city known as Ridgecrest. Imperial Guard forces are moving in in force to stop it. Unfortunately we were not contacted, and even if we were to go right now even with my driving we would be late." Jurgen spoke handing him the report.

As Cain nodded grabbing a cup filled with Tauna, a knock was heard at his door. Looking over to Jurgen he nodded back as she walked over to the wooden door and unlocked it. He then opened it up. The place was under constant Imperial watch so it was relatively safe...of course with the sight of a Battle Sister greeting the man, he stepped out of the way. "Commissar sir, you have a visitor." Jurgen spoke the obvious.

A Sister of Battle? Here? He had met a few of them in his time, and usually all those times were wracked with more frustration. They were not the most disciplined force, and they had a tendency to confuse Martyrdom with unnecessary sacrifice. Of course knowing her visit, something was definitely up. Making a sign of the Aquila as per greeting with the warriors of the Imperial Cult, he motioned for her to come inside. "Greetings Sister, what can I do for you today?" He asked putting away the documents for later.

The proud sister held her breath as the door opened, her mind racing with scenarios of Cain turning her away. They faded as the casual aid announced her, and the warm welcome the decorated hero gave eased her spirits a little.

She returned the proper greeting, and bowed her head for a moment. She gripped the holy of her blade to keep her hand steady.

"I must confess," she made a point of making eye contact with the man once she lifted her head. "It was quite the honor to have you agree to meeting me. I never dreamt my service to The Emperor would put me face to face with such a hero of Man."

She truly did respect Cain, what citizen of The Imperium didn't?

Slowly she stepped into the office, trained eyes sweeping over every inch of it. It was pleasant, cozy even. An ugly thing though, compared to the Sister's chapel, she thought.

"But sadly I did not come for the sake of pleasantries. No.." She shook her head, her noble baring showing signs of fatigue. "I will speak the plaineat truth to you, Commissar.." a pause hung for a moment, the woman's pride making the words hard to choke out. "No, I come to ask for a favour.. For help, from a stranger.."

Helisma decided to let the sentence remain unfinished, instead motioning to the chairs in front of Cain's desk. "May I sit, Commissar?"

"Feel free to take a seat Sister." Cain spoke as he nodded. His aid returning to his side after closing the door along with the smell that seemed attached to him. Now this was something, she called him a Hero. Well he did not really feel like it but it never hurt to keep this up.

Of course, she was here to ask for a favor of all things. Well, he was not exactly going to refuse but...He felt like something was amiss here. Now what was she going to ask? "Once you get situated, please feel free to say what you want from me. If you wish, my aid can pour you a cup of tea, he is rather good at making tea." He spoke as he himself took a sip of the bitter liquid in his cup.

Helisma slid into the seat rather graceful for someone in full plate. She was quite impressed by the man's hospitality, but a little wary of his bluntness. A Commissar must be direct, true, but it made her wonder just how compassionate the man would be.

Until that is, tea was mentioned.

The Sister's head cocked to the side a little, perking up at the thought. "Tea? She sounded almost incredulous. "Normally I would never trouble a host," she ran a gloved hand through her silvery hair, shrugging. 'But our Chapel has seen nothing but Imperial Guards rations for..A very long time. I haven't had tea in near a year."

The moment she said it she mentally chastised herself. "Great, I seem a pauper set to beg for food at this rate."

She shrugged again. "Please, I spoke without thinking. I did not come here for tea," her rather low voice grew dull. "No, I came here for this." She practically spat the Last word as she produced a crumpled up letter, and slammed it on Cain's desk.

"You are free to read it, but to surmise this dregg, it is a letter from the Ecclisiarcy of Holy Terra. It is addressed to all Sisters of my order." She paused for a moment, struggle to maintain her temper at the thought. "It orders my Order disbanded, for lack of a Major Order to answer to."

She bit her lip, unsure of how much information to unload on Cain at once. She considered for a moment, as she locked eyes with him again.

"I come here not behalf of myself, but for my Sisters.." She shrugged again, squirming a little in her seat.

"I must confess. Though it is addressed to all the Sisters of my order, as Maiden of The Flame it came to me first. I. I have not had the heart to share it with them yet.." Again she locked eyes with Cain. "Not before I tried all I could to stop this."

Cain kept still as the Sister slammed what had been in her hands, of course he internally got surprised. Looks like she was silently fuming in anger. Of course he maintained his composure as she skimmed the letter as she helped surmise it. They were to be disbanded under orders of the Ecclisiarcy of Holy Terra.

No wonder she was mad, it seemed that she had yet to tell the other Battle Sisters of this rather damnable news for them. He narrowed his eyes in thought as he read the letter. Well this was certainly something, but she had mentioned not having a Major Order to answer to.

"I see...News like this being given to your Sisters would no doubt cause them to be furious..." Cain spoke. Having undisciplined Sisters of Battle, and having that news sent to them would no doubt result in something bad...of course if they did receive the news he had hoped that they silently accepted but he was not going to take that chance.

"If I may ask, the Order of the Sacred Rose was here on Terra. However, from what I hear you don't have major Order to follow. I hear some...rumors of a second organization of Sisters of Battle with a Living Saint with black wings. However...You seem to be not part of that Order. Might I ask what Order you follow?" Cain asked as he looked at Helisma.

The Sister's face visible melted in relief, and she slumped back in her seat a little. He was willing to liaten! He hasn't thrown her out! There was a chance. She folded her hands, resting them on her lap, and thought for a second.

"Yes.. I can see why you'd not know if us. The Order of the Last Light is not...Famous. Nor is it large. To answer you though, we've never technically served a Major Order. Its unusual I know.." Her voice fell hushed, and her tone grew reverent. "Once long ago there was a Major Order of The Sisters. The Order of Her Holy Light, founded, and headed by, at the time Seraphim Arnoria." She paused, her expression growing troubled.

"We now know her as Our Marytred Lady." Helisma offered a silent prayer.

"She was quite the Sister, blessed with the gift of Sight. She could see many futures, but never knew which path could be her doom.." Again her posture grew rigid.

"Durring the Horus Heresy," Again she spat a name. "Our Lady had a vision of a massive Warg. One that would have, eventually, come to.the very soil of Holy Terra. She forsaw that, in the weakened state of The Imperium, the Orkz would be victorious."

Helisma sighed. The story was long, and usually told on the holiday of remembrance, but this was a special case.

"Her Order had done well in The Heresy. Many Sisters went with her willingly, all but a skeleton reserve of the order set off."

She began to fidget with the letter, trying her best to do the story justice, but briefly.

"They found the Warg where she had fortold, but it was much larger than she had seen. The battle..Was long, and victory came at a steep cost. Arnoria have her life to ensure her Stewart could escape. And gravely wounded, bearing Arnoria's shattered, but still aflame sword..." The Sister bowed her head in respect to the history of her Order.

"Those who stayed behind mourned, and in their grief The Order of the Last Light was born. It's fortold, as Arnoria's last swords, that our Order would not recover, until the Emperor himself reveals to us one worthy of reforging Her blade."

With the story told Helisma relaxed a little.

"We have, since our founding, appointed a Maiden of The Flame. A metaphorical steward to Our Martyred Lady. That Sister, me at present, functions much as a Saint would, however we are no Saints. Just the Handmaidens who keep her sword blazing, until such a time as The Emperor give us a new Saint, eager to stand aside."

She sighed, and shrugged.

"In times past our Ork hunting exploits kept the Ecclisiarcy...Content...To ignore our difference..But it has been a long time since we've been called on, and they seem to have forgotten us.."

"I see, that is indeed troublesome. These days its been more quiet lately, the Ork tribes are currently trying to find a new Warboss. The Eldar have not been spotted nor have their Chaotic counterparts. The Necrons as silent as they are remain silent. The Tyranic menace is no where to be seen...All we have been doing lately is sitting back to deal with occasional threats..." Cain spoke as he gave a sigh. There was of course nothing bad about not seeing their enemies at their throats every single minute of each year.

So, this Order seems to have been founded long ago...however without their main branch they are being disbanded especially with no orks to slay. However, are they aware of the recent news going on? Surely they must know. Of course it was to quick to assume such things. For now, the Sister in front of him seemed calmed retelling the history of their Order.

Now this would be a little dangerous for what he was about to say, they were true zealots to the Emperor. So, he had to make sure to choose his words carefully lest he might offend her. "So far, from what I am getting at, the Ecclisiarcy wants to disband your group due to inactivity and due to no major leader in your order. A saint is required but as of now you have no Living Saint...Might I ask, have you been reading the Regimental Standard?" Cain asked as he grabbed a paper that looked like the Imperium created it. "Usually, primarily Guardsman read these papers. It keeps them up to date on events. Might I ask, have you ever by chance decided to read one?" He asked.

It was best to start slow, and in the worst case scenario if she decided to burn someone for Heresy it would not be him.

Helisma looked the paper over with a glance. She had in fact not seen one of these before, and it kind of embarrassed her.

"No, I'm afraid I haven't," she stated rather bluntly. "We Sister's spend much time in prayer, and any time we have for the luxury of reading is usually spent on scripture." She meant no disrespect, she was aware the Commissar likely didnt know what the life of a Sister entailed.

She examined it a little closer.

"Truly I had come hoping to seek you as a champion to our cause. I had hoped your reputation would make the Ecclisarcy take notice of us again, or maybe buy us time to find our Saint.." She felt rather ashamed to admit just how far her pride had sunk. "That is, if you took pity in our plight.." She trailed off as she read more of the paper.

"But perhaps.." A smile began to form on her lips. "Perhaps if you found the need to call us to arms that the Ecclisiarcy hasn't..." She looked up at the Commissar, a new plan taking shape. "We can solve this problem ourselves.." You could see the wheels turning in her head.

Cain had just opened up Pandora's Box.

"I think I'll take that tea after all..."

Cain smirked a bit as Helisma seemed to be figuring things out. "Then, I guess we have a plan in motion." He spoke as he looked over at Jurgen who instinctively knew what to do and put a cup in front of the Battle Sister and poured a cup of Tauna.

"If you need time to look for a saint I have that covered. You see...The Regimental Standard has brought some rather...Important news that shook the Imperium..." Cain spoke, leaving out the part how he himself was part of this history changing event.

"The Emperor has returned a while ago, back in his old form once again. His sons, the Primarchs. Many of which have returned once again to lead humanity. I think I can gather intelligence on the Orks and have you and your Sisters eliminate an Ork Warboss that may pose the biggest threat to re-uniting the Ork tribes. Of course, the Ecclisiarcy is not aware of this...For reasons of...'communication failure'..." Cain spoke taking a deep breath to prepare for what was going to happen next. Of course if he would live in the next few seconds he would say the second part of his plan.

A large, genuine smile overtook the Sister as Cain shared his "secret". She took the cup, pinky raised, and sipped delicately. She allowed the silent tension build, laughing to herself internally.

"I imagine about now," Helisma spoke aa dead pan aa she could. "You're feeling you have a fifty-fifty chance of being run through by a Sister of Battle." She paused again, delighting in her reputation as a Battle Sister, and never taking her eyes off her tea. "But all Daughters of The Emperor know this. We feel it in our hearts," She set her cup back down and crossed her legs for a bit more comfort. "However we've dared not say a word."

She sighed, looking back to Cain.

"It does me good to hear from a man I can trust that this is true. Unfortunately though, my Order is small, only a hundred eighty strong. We will need aid, and to expand before we can stop a Warg.."

Cain let out a sigh and an audible chuckle as Helisma knew what he was thinking. "Had to be careful, trying to discuss a topic like this to a Sister of Battle can be very dangerious. Well, the Imperial Guard will support you with supplies as usual. If you need anything I'll inform the Guardsman to help you when needed. Of course I don't call the shots but I'm sure they wont deny my request. Besides, plenty of Guardsman don't say no to a Sister of Battle. If you need our assistance we will be ready, but for now...I'll stall for time against the Ecclisiarcy, so see if you can talk to the Emperor himself if he is willing to impart his power for one of you. I'll get information of the biggest ork from Jurgen's help, and then your Order along with Imperia Guard support will eliminate the Orkz before they can form a...Waghhh..." He smiled a bit as he drank from his cup.

It was good to know he would not be run down, and it was good to assist them. Besides, it was best they keep the ork threat down. He himself knows full well the power behind a Waghhh!...Because he had to fight an entire war behind their lines...This would be beneficial for the both of them.

"Hmmm.." As the Commissar spoke Helisma considered his words with great weight. It took a moment, but as Cain went on all the cogs in the Sister's mind clicked at once. Every once in a while she'd glance from her tea, to the paper Cain gave her, and then to the man himself. You could probably see the lightbulb go off above her head as she began to sip her tea with a little haste, now sitting forward in her seat.

Of course she politely waited until The Imperium's hero finished to clear her throat.

"I thank you greatly Commissar, for both your hospitality, and your willingness to aid my Order." She.bowed her head slightly in respect. "Your idea to have the Imperial Guard supplement our numbers have me quite the idea." With a great ease she shot up from her chair, clasped her hands together behind her back, and began to pace around Cain's office.

"You see," Helisma clicked her tongue as she took a step, pausing to look at Cain. He didn't know it, but the Sister had a habit of lecturing people with her ideas.

"If the Imperial Guard would aid is in stopping a Wharg, we could adopt a sort of mixed forces strategy." She nodded before turning on the heels of her grieves, and beginning to pace again. "I could assign a small squad of my Sisters to oversee a rather large contingent of Guards..." She froze again. "Much like the Adeptus Astarties would, I would think."

She quickly rattled off the names of a few dozen famous battles as examples, all the while pacing again.

"Many of my Sisters have seen a fair share of battle, especially against the scum of The Ork. I trust in them, and their judgement, to see most of our forces through.." Helisma froze again, but this time with a gasp. Reality had set in. It had been long since she faced a massive rabble of Orkz.

Their strength, their malice, their ability to weaponize useless materials.

Her tone became much more hushed. "I fear my tongue has a speed my mind yet lacks. Most of my Sisters have seen too few battles, and many of us with true experience have lived in the glory of the Emperor for more than one winter too many to go to war.." A dull sense of pain bled into her voice. As proud as she was of her Order, she was level-headed.

Again she started pacing, albeit more somberly now.

"I had thought to use the publication of the paper you showed me to find our troops. A call in The Imperium's name to purge the Orkz.." She shook her head. "A draft of you would. I understand that's how it's usually done." A sign escaped her. "But that was wrong of me. I, nor any of my Order would ever dare force a soul into battle for our own sake. Whether it benefited Man or not."

She broke her practiced posture for a moment, standing with her shoulders slumped. In a blink she drifted back into her seat.

"No.. I ask that perhaps one of our more Scribely Sisters could collaborate on a missive. I'm thinking a brief explation of our history, and plight."

She looked back to Cain once more.

"We will only lead into battle those who feel our cause dear in their hearts. For i fear that if we do this, Cain.." Her hand instinctively fell to the hilt of her sword. "A great many guardsmen, and I fear as well many of my Sisters... Will surely perish."

Cain placed his hands together in thought listening to Helisma. So it seems many of her fellow Sisters were either too old to really fight, or too young and inexperienced. Of course her idea of assigning a small group of Battle Sisters with large bodies of Imperial Guard Regiments was a good idea. Of course he would never say this out loud but most of the times that the Space Marines and Imperial Guard troops work together the Space Marines take most of the glory.

Of course Cain was rather surprised at the Sisters reaction on a draft to go an fight...She was against the idea, and apparently her order was also against it. That was a comforting thought actually, of course when she mentioned that they would take up volenteers for the mission and warned him that many men would die. Cain nodded.

As much as he would like to not do this, he rather keep face and besides. The threat of a new Warboss gathering all the Orkz and leading a massive WAGHHHH! was...quite frankly much harder than killing the ork now before it got to that point. "Well then Sister, if you wish for those to fight willingly for your cause then I am willing to personnaly help you." Cain spoke as Jurgen chimed in. "And wherever the Commissar goes I go. Besides, I know more about the greenskins then most of these Guardsman put together."[/font

[font=myriad]"Besides, underestimating the orks will just put everyone in danger. I will have a section on the next Regimental Standard looking for volenteers who will put their lives on the line not only for your Order, but for all the civilians back home. I know what these orks can do, they kill anyone young or old...So lets keep them from getting anywhere near a civilian."
Cain spoke with a small smile on his face. This was dangerious, but something like this would be good not only for the Imperium, but the people of Terra.

Cain soon stood up from his desk to look at Helisma."I look forward to fighting alongside your Sisters in battle."

Helisma stood as her host did, but unlike Cain she had a smile. It seemed he really was a just man, and perhaps her coming here was the Emperor's will after all. She had prayed for something like this for a very, very long time. She offered him a bow, and one to Jurgen as well. The servants valor had impressed her.

"I am more than pleased by both of you. Perhaps the light of Arnoria's Sword will not parish under my care afterall.." She sighed in relief, thanked Jurgen for the tea, and excused herself. She made it to the door knob before it dawned on her.

"I came to you this afternoon in part because tonight is The Night of Fire and Tears in our Order. It is the anniversary of Our Lady's last stand." She paused a moment, picking back up in a much softer tone. "In this night a Sister is chosen to tell the tale of our Order."

She turned back to Cain. "It is quite sacred to us, and none but our Sisters, and Ecclesiarcy persons.." She nodded. "You though, take up our cause as any Sister would. We would be honoured to have you." She turned now to Jurgen. "And you as well."

"But," Helisma continued without pause. "It is a long event, and you are busy men. Please, feel free to decline." Her expression was genuine.

Commisar Ciaphas Cain sat down on a stack of Imperial Cargo crates as he began to wait. This week was when the Sisters of Battle and Volenteer Imperial Guard forces would be working together to make an assault on the orkz to kill off a warboss. Of course Cain was nerviously but he never showed it.

What if there was a handful of Guardsman? What if there was no armored support? Even with the Sisters of Battle, this could could bad. As he simply sat still, he soon looked through the crowd of workers, civilians and Terran personal. A familiar beige like colors. And they were coming in large groups.

There they were, Imperial Guard forces. At first there were small squads of Guardsman, but then many more soldiers came, Catachan Jungle fighters pretty much ready to kill some green skins. A few Ogryns accompanying the squads of Guardsman, even a few squads of Stormtroopers and heavy weapon teams. That was not all however, Chimeras and Taurox transports driven by their faithful drivers. Even a few Lemon Russ Battle tanks and some Basilisks.

It seemed that his own reputation drew much more people than he had expected. Perhaps even the mentioning of the Sisters joining with them drew a couple of the more religious with them. With a small smile Cain nodded. A few hundred men and women along with some armored vehicles. This would work...He made due with far less in many situation so it was comforting when he had a force like this.

Now, he had to wait for the Sisters to arrive.

Those gathered would have to wait for a moment, because almost the second the last volunteer shuffled in so too did the Ladies of The Light.

Three hundred, and eighty-four strong each Sister's armour gleamed in the spaceport's harsh light. Each step was in lock, every Sister was armed with sword, and bolter, many also carried heavier weapons. Promethium Throwers, long range rifles, Heavy Bolters, and even Lasguns, they marched in The Emperor's light, each face was set in rigid determination, but some unplaceable quality made them look ethreal.

Anglic. And there in front of them strode Helisma, tallest, and noblest all of all.

She made her way over to Cain, her Sisters forming ranks behind her, and snapping to attention. She looked to hero, and nodded. It was more than time. Spinning in her heels she spun to greet the volunteer force. She paused, eyeing each, and every soldier she could. When satisfied she nodded to herself, and cleared her throat.

"Here me now! Her voice cut through the noise of the port like Hellfire through bugs. Crisp, and refined, it rang with Grace of true Bride. If she had looked angelic before, there was no mistaking it now. Her voice was divine wrath itself.

"You who have gathered here today, have done so because you have felt a calling of True Need." Passion began to consume her tone. "For glory, for honour, for The Emperor, or for our Lost Lady.." Helisma drew her blade from its ornate scabard, its delicately carved steel glinting in the light.

"But we Sisters.." a quick flick of her free hand, and a Sister behind her broke rank, coming up beside the Maiden. She carried a massive, hand carved box of solid gold. It beamed in the light, the countless Purity Seals dancing in the breeze. "Have come for but one reason."

"We come not because we must," her booming voice shriveled a little, growing somber. "But because it is in our hearts. Because we would gladly bare our Holy Husband's name to the corner of this realm, or any other! And with it,"

Her vox carried her hushed whisper across the port.

"We bare aloft The Lost Lady's Light," the Sister beside her carefully opened the box, a violent, blinding orange light errupting out. She held it up for all to see, the flaming shards of Arnoria's blade carefully resting within.

Helisma bowed her head in respect, and picked her vigour back up. "Into any darkness, any danger, any fate! To sunder Shadow!" She shouted with all her heart, vox unnessicary at this point. "So that it may bring forth the Sun on a new day, a red day, a day in His Glory!"

She let it hang for a second, eyeing her troops.

"So we ask, nay, demand no less of you," she turned back, looking at her Sisters for a moment. "For each Sister here who marches to bring light to the darkest of stars...Knows it may be the last time she ever answers.."

Helisma allowed the grim news to settle in a little. She wanted only sure soldiers.

"But we go to this and gladly! We will stand, facing down the black void of our enemies! With The Lost Lady's burning clear in our hearts, and a song of glory in our hearts!" She raised her sword, which now looked very plain, and then lowered the tip into the box, as was her right.

Immediately the blinding orange flames consumed it. She eyed it with reverence, turning back to the troops, and pointing it at them

"We shall sing, even as armor is wrent, blade is shattered, and all mags are spent!" Perhaps it was merely a reflection of a ship, but as she shouted, tears biting at her eyes, it almost looked as though she had a faint halo. "Should our strength fail our cause, our Emperor, our Light.."

She held her blade up, both hands gripping tightly, the blaze obsecuring her face.

"We shall fight still. If we should carry our Light, unto it's final rest, we will not despare.." Tears fell freely, she shouted now will all her heart. "We will sing on, so that His Glory may reach His ears, even in his slumber," She knew the truth, but this was not the place. "And pray only that He is moved enough to return us to his side..."

She took a deep breath, shething her sword. She spoke calmly now.

"So I give each of you this honour, for none outside our closest Sisters, save Commissar Cain, have been allowed to see it's light. So I ask now that only those who truly feel it's cause, it's flame inside them, join us in battle.."

She snapped to attention, nodding.

"If you would not give your life solely in the name of Emperor, and our Lost Lady, please leave, and feel no shame."

And now she waited.

As the sisters moved into the space port another vehicle emerged to keep slow pace behind them. Easily two men or more tall the Crassus heavy assault transport was marked with an emblem of the Imperium. Inside a single driver showing to the call to war her charge having left the black storm to seek knowledge. Sybil then freed to seek her position in the wars of Humankind and the Imperium. Heavy treads rolled along toward her goal with a circulating blizzard around its sponson positions as they were replaced with a heavier plates to better protect her constructive assets. Upon each dark metal plate glow hatchmarks shrouded by the airy layer of small flakes. The remainder faithfully recreated. Metal gleams as if fresh from a forge world pulling up the rear to idle quietly as the top-hatched opened to a threadlike filament helmet emerging. An impassive if fair-skinned face of the Mada, Sybil, followed. Clad in heavy silver and teal armor the tall woman listened to Helisma and her words.

Sybil enjoyed them greatly, enthused to be again at true war like in the books of the fallen Emperor, though only her swirling grey metal eyes betrayed their steely gaze with one gleaming tear. It splattered onto the armor solidifying into a permanent marker of the event upon her transport.

A critical forge worker's eye glanced about at those gathered to inspect their arms with a critical eye. Jinhai did their jobs well for the Living Emperor leaving her much to do. Soon she'd built her own armory with what they discovered in Wing City. A small forge well constructed into this tank brought with her to make arms, ammo, or just repair them.

Cain stood up as Sister Helisma began to give her speech to everyone gathered. He remained silent as she gave her zealous speech, putting everything she had just to speak. Of course he looked over the Sisters as she spoke. Many were well armed but when he saw some of them holding las-guns he knew that they really were bad off to be using a las-gun instead of a Bolter.

Of course after she finished speaking, the volunteers gathered remained at attention, besides the Ogryns that stood around probaly not understanding her speech. And then there were those Catachnas which were not much for the chain of command or discipline. However, each soldier stood fighting for this reason.

Cain soon spoke up. "My fellow Regimental soldiers! To all of you I am grateful for you all to be here. You all have willingly took up arms to fight this day. As you all may know our enemy are the green skins! As long as they remain unlettered they will build up their tribes and they will strike against the sector once again! So today we will strike against a warboss known as 'Killa Klaw'....To stop this Ork before it can unite the orkish tribes! I will not lie to you all, this will be dangerious. But you all knew that coming here. So we will fight on as soldiers of the Emperor! And in the service of the Imperium! Keep your head held high! Because once we win this battle we will return alive to fight again! But that is who we are Guardsman!" He spoke proudly as the Regiment all let out roars of approval.

"Now this is our plan. Guardsman will be organized in teams of 12, and a small squad of Battle sisters will be assigned to each. Heavy weapon crews will maintain close proximity to our positions while Ogryns will remain on the front to repel the orks from Guardsman forces. Armored companies will remain behind the lines to provide fire support. Catachans will also be working in individual teams to fight as they like. Wether it be defense or offense, they will be killing plenty of green skins whatever they do. Our situation will change as the battle goes on! So keep your ears open and stay alive! If you keep to formation and fight smartly. We will live!"

#, as written by TheHaze
As with all the splendor of the Imperium, sometimes there were darker aspects. Hive cities, traitors, sickly masses of the diseased, they were the markers of the many who suffered to feed the few. Even among those unfortunates, however, lurked twisted things. Mutants. The flesh-damned. Those who were deviants from the holy image of Man. Monsters. There were little one could do for them, and until these strange new days they only aid one would likely give was a gout of cleansing flame. So, they hid in the darkest crags of the Imperium, only rising in times of need and often dragged out to atone for their sins with a battlefield death.

Such was the reason for the creature standing among the guards men in the rear of the Sisters unit. It was visibly inhuman, but still had the trappings of whatever ancestors they once shared. An Abhuman, one that could be described as a Pelager. It was tall, little more than coils of muscle wrapped in razor-rough skin scarred from fighting vile things in dark waters. A miasma of the foulest depths of the ocean clung to it, and it had little in the way of clothes and gear. A muzzle of thick leather covered the mouth of the creature, scratched with seals of the Guard and fitted with a heavy lock, obscuring everything but it's cold, black, dead eyes. Aside from an Identification Number crudely tattooed onto its arm, one would likely mistake it for a sump beast, something that crawled its way out of the sludge to consume the living.

It was, visually, female. Perhaps that was the only reason someone saw fit to steer it towards the Sisters, and not some backwater battalion far from anywhere it could be smelled. Perhaps not, but whatever the reason for its presence, it stood among the humans who would rather see it dead. Why, it could not say. Nothing but silence came from it, even in the response of whispered jeers, hateful nudges, and glares that could boil water. When it stepped forward to stand with those who would support the Sister, it merely stared forward, ready to serve.
