"So...then let me get your stupidity in order. You are fighting him as your game rules dictate. Use the cards he is using...or your version, what ever. And through out using it...say this is wrong we are fighting with spirits. Continue to fight with him. Insult your spirits causing them to attack you...and you expect him to believe you? Your plan is flawless. I can't believe he did not believe you.." he states sarcastically.

"I do not care if he was using a demon deck or a deck of fluffy deers. It is disrespectful and you both should no better than fight in a grave yard, shame on both of you. Shame on you for not suggesting for it to be moved, even if it makes you look like a coward." he scolds.

"I would have done the same thing Miss Spirit...might have let the dragon nip his arm a bit before letting him off the hook though." he remarks as he sips his sake.

He thinks about it before sighing, "If it will get you to stop fighting here and too be able to control your spirit better than all right. But I am training you more on your spirit not theirs remember that. They are already experienced in fighting. You need to be a leader and you need to be able to stand their pain." he explains. "Connecting with spirits of the graveyard are easier than most think. First..." he reaches into his sleeve and pulls out an incense stick and a dumpling. "Make an offering to any grave here, prayer for them and show them they are not forgotten. Be careful of the grave though some here are not friendly and some here were murderers and are much stronger than you...you must decide which one is good yourself though." he remarks as the Heian ghost speaks to him. "He asked me I am helping." he states almost looking like he was ignoring her.

Sol stayed quiet for a few seconds. "Well, not necessarily in that order....but....yes. Yes, my plan is absolutely flawless." he said, his own sarcasm in the equation as well.

Sol frowns and scratches the back of his head. "I did offer a better place to duel, but he said he wouldn't duel anywhere else." he said.

Maiden smirked and let out a small giggle. "The Blue Eyes White Dragon nearly killed him. A single swipe from the claws raked straight through the center of his body." she explained. "Another spirit, the Guardian Angel Joan, healed him after the initial strike, though she said he did not deserve to be healed by her. He agrees that he still does not deserve her help, but asks for it anyway." she explains.

Sol nodded to Mikage, secretly grateful that he agreed to help him, even if he wasn't the best of company to be with. He took the incense stick and dumpling in his hands and stood, nodding to show that he was listening. He looked around, walking and reading the tomb stones, trying to decide which one he should make the offering to. Eventually he whittled it down to two graves, one belonging to a female, and the other to a male.

Eventually he decided on the grave that belonged to the female. He sat down and then looked at the incense stick, realizing he had nothing to light it with.

Just then one of his card spirits appeared beside him, taking the form of a small dragon drenched in magma. "You want me to light that for you?" it asked.

"Um...No. Last time you did that for me I um...burned down that building, remember?"

"So....you want me to light it?"

"No." Sol replied. With that, the spirit left without another word.

Sol then got up and walked back over to where Mikage was, or more specifically, where the already burning incense was. He touched the end of his unlit stick to the lit one, and held it there until it lit. Then he walked back over to the grave and sat by it. "I...um...don't completely know what I'm doing but...here goes nothing." he muttered to himself, placing the offering in front of the grave. He closed his eyes quietly whispering a prayer to show that the spirit wasn't forgotten. He only hoped that it was enough to make it come forth and reveal itself to him. He also hoped that it wouldn't try to kill him.

Mikage smirked, "Glad you realized your plan was stupid...even if it was in hind sight." Mikage remarks as he sips his sake, his legs folded under him. "Shame it didn't knock some sense in him." he tells the female spirit with a cackle. "She healed him even when she says he doesn't deserve it...hmmm I wouldn't be as nice...and won't be when I am dead." he says with a chuckle.

He watches him walk along the grave yard, surprised at his picks but not letting it show as he hears the conversation.

"Please do not burn the graveyard while I am in it, I would very much like not dying in a fire today. I hear that hurts a lot." he remarks. He watches him do the smart move with a nod of his head, "First smart thing I have seen you do ever." he remarks.

He watches him go in front of the female grave, the female in the Heian garb smiling before appearing in front of him, her black hair covering her eyes as she offers Sol a smile and a gentle bow. "That is Ami Hikame. A courtesan of the Emperor in the Imperial city during the Heian period. Her grave has only recently been moved here. She is a hateful and spiteful woman, who I despise and hate, she was known for her ugliness." he offers as he sips his Sake, his voice sounding cold.

Sol said nothing about comment about his decision, but nodded in greeting to the female spirit who appeared before him. He looked over at Mikage and then looked back to the woman. "Um...hello there, Ami." he said. He looked back to Mikage. "Am I doing this right? I don't wanna piss of the first spirit I meet by saying something wrong or out of turn..." he said...

Maiden sighed. "It knocked a little sense into him...just not too much; he knows better than to insult me or any of us in his deck anymore." she said with a shrug.

Mikage watches the encounter as he sips his sake. Ami seems to wave happily, her voice as soft as a breeze. "Hello." she says. "I am not one to be upset easily, do not worry and I will only fight if you attack me first or Mikage." she remarks. Her long black hair floating gently. "And what is your name sir?" she asks him with a tilt of her head, her eyes still hidden by her hair her face obscured by it. "If you do not wish to tell me I understand."

"Oh don't worry about her I don't care if you upset her." he says as Ami just smiles.

"Well if he does it again just tell me and I will let the spirits here attack him or I will use magic on him." Mikage says with a cackle. "I hear I am good at that, then again if I wasn't I would lose my job many times over." he remarks with a chuckle as he offers Maiden some sake.

Sol smiled as she assured him that she didn't get upset easily. 'I guess that my apparent luck extends beyond my deck...' he thought to himself. He then cleared his throat. "My name is Sol. Sol Vincent." he replied calmly, crossing his legs. "Ah..." he then remembered the dumpling in his other hand, and handed it to Ami. "Um...here. Would you like a dumpling?" he asked.

Maiden smiled and took a cup of sake gratefully, taking a sip after Mikage filled her cup. "Oh, if he does it again I'll tell you. If he survives what the Blue Eyes White Dragon does to him." she giggled. "The Blue Eyes is the most powerful monster he possesses, and he seems to be lucky enough to always have a way to um...what's the term he uses...special summon the Blue Eyes to the field to fight." she explained. "Though, this does not bother either of the two Blue Eyes White Dragons because they love to fight and destroy things." she added.

"You can use magic? What kind, pray tell?" Maiden asked, tilting her own head as she took another small drink of sake.

Ami smiles, "I would love one." she says with a grin. She does not seem as spiteful as Mikage said. "It is a pleasure to meet you Sol Sol Vincent." she says as she surprisingly seems able to take the dumpling from his hand bringing it to her lips as she takes a small bite from it.

"Seems a tedious name for a dragon to have..but I have heard worse. Not really surprising that a dragon, a dragon is a strong spirit." he remarks, "But a very hard one to get to listen. Best be prepared for that one to be stubborn..." he mutters. "If you bring those two dragons here and they destroy anything I will end you." he remarks simply and honestly.

"Excorisim, Spirit Magic, Talismans, Demon ridding magic, transformation, divination..." he lists off. "Oh and Life transferring magic." he says as he pours the spirits more Sake, keeping an eye on him and Ami.

Sol smiles a bit awkwardly, and lets out a chuckle. "You can just call me Sol." he said calmly. "Though, it's a pleasure to meet you as well, Ami." he said. After that he leaned back, supporting his body with his arms as he started to feel comfortable around the spirits, relaxing. "I.. um, hope you'll forgive my awkwardness... I'm not used to talking to Spirits...or anyone new in general..." he said. "At least, I'm not used to taking the lead in a conversation." he clarified.

"Oh, the two have separate names that are easier to say, but I don't remember them." Maiden said with a small smile. "Most of Sol's deck is comprised of Dragon spirits, only one of which, the Luster Dragon, doesn't like to fight." she said. "So Sol usually doesn't summon them unless he needs to."

"Those are quite powerful magics, especially if used properly, which I'm assuming that you do regularly and easily." she said with a small smile, taking another drink of sake.

Ami smiles, "As you say Soul." she remarks as he sits down in front of her. "You are a shy one? No wonder Mikage finds it easy to tease you so." she says as she kneels in front of him.

"Are they their names, or ones he named them?" Mikage asks her. "Well no wonder he has problems summoning spirits. He needs to learn his level and start from there, to start from dragons is suicide." he states as he watches Ami. "He is easy to tease because he is a Fool. You are one as well." he states to Ami as he pours himself more sake, the dumplings he had offered earlier seemed to have been eaten by the spirits.

"I use them properly and for fun, on a regular basis? No. I practice yes, but to use them all everyday? Never." he remarks with a snort. "Too exhausting...especially life transfer to use that everyday would kill me." he states simply.

Sol sighed. 'Close enough.' he thought. The pronunciation was basically the same, it was merely the spelling that mattered. "Y-yes.. I'm a bit shy...." he said, glancing at Mikage, a small look of annoyance as he remembered yesterday. He then looked back to Ami with a small sigh. "I... don't exactly know why I'm normally shy, but then when I'm dueling, I'm almost fearless." he said.

"Oh, the names are theirs, I just don't remember them." Maiden said, taking a drink. "And that might be why he has trouble indeed. I tried convincing him to try with the few other cards he has, such as me: a spell caster, or with the Guardian Angel Joan, who's a fairy by human standards." she explained. "But he insists on the dragons." she shakes her head and takes another drink of her sake, emptying her cup. "A fools mistake." she sighed, holding out her cup for Mikage to fill again.

"I see. I ... tried to make Sol practice summoning every day, but.... it put way too much stress on his body, mind, and soul. I almost killed him at least fifteen times by making him practice non stop. Now... we hardly practice at all." she admitted sadly.

Mikage smirks, "Oh you wound me so you ugly lady." he states to Ami, "I teased him because he is a fool. You do not understand me." he remarks. Ami nods, "You need to find something to protect outside of battle...and talk more." she states to him. "I understand what it is like to be a bit shy...but I never let that stop me from protecting what I cared about." she says.

"And you were a fool to do so." Mikage scolds her before looking at her. "Well at least he did not name them, it would be like me naming Ami...Akiko. Makes her sound like a pet." he murmurs as he pours her some more sake. "Well...he is a fool then and will die before his time if he does not bend like a bow...if he is rigid he will snap." he says. "Like dry branch for kindle."

"Well he needs to practice every day to learn his limits, if he nearly died fifteen times without finding ti it is as much his fault as it is yours."

Sol sighed. "I know I need to find something, but the cards that hold the spirits of my monsters are what I want to protect, I need to protect those, so...I guess you can say that by being shy, I'm putting on a good show that I wouldn't have the cards." he said with a shrug.... "Wait....no that's completely idiotic, why would I think that?" he started to scold himself, smacking his own forehead repeatedly.

Maiden nodded. "It is indeed good that he didn't name any of his cards by himself. He's not very creative when it comes to names anyway." she said with a giggle. "I tell him that, but..." she sighed again, "Perhaps I need to be more forceful with him again." she said.

Just then, the watch on Sol's arm beeped, and he looked at it, biting his lower lip. "I am sorry, but I must leave. It was nice meeting you, Ami." he said. With that he leaned forward again, taking the incense and putting it out calmly. He then stood and bowed slightly to Ami, and gave a small nod to Mikage. He then turned and started walking.

Maiden sighed and finished her cup of sake, placing it down on the ground. "Well, I must go. Farewell, Mikage." she said, patting his shoulder gently as she got up and followed Sol out of the graveyard.

"What you are going is lying to yourself in one way or another." Ami corrects him, and that is not good for the soul." she tells him as she shakes her head. "A good show is not what they want, they want you to be true to yourself..." she explains to her.

"It isn't the creativity I fear it is the meaning behind naming something other than what it is already. I am Mikage I would hate for someone to call me something else." he says as the beep of the watch makes him cringe. "Such noisy contraptions..." he mutters as he shakes his head. "And yes you do, you can not be too soft to train someone."

Ami bows lightly to him as the incense is put out before appearing behind Mikage once more. Mikage gives a curt nod to Sol. "Farewell boy and Maiden." he says as Maiden pats his shoulder. Ami seems to speak to him. "No I hate you." he says as he looks at the spirits and chats to them. "Hinata why don't you tell your tail to me?" he asks him with a chuckle.

A sealed envelope appeared on the doorstep of every occupant of Verinotte Hollow It was a formal invitation to the current residents to attend the Ball of Chaos, to be held in Verinotte Hall.

A secondary letter would be included, imploring any and all vampyric creatures to contact the Vankoryth Detente.

Sol blinked, finding the envelope on his door-step was a surprise. Furrowing his eyebrows, he picked it up and read the letter. An invitation? To a ball? He... He'd done nothing of importance in the last three years; he hadn't even dueled anyone..... Hell, he didn't have anything to wear. He'd have to get that all put together. When was it? A few weeks from now.... interesting.....

Taking the Letter inside he closed the door, mumbling to himself as he considered his options.

It had only been a month since Destin arrived in Verinotte Hollow. He had spent some time in Wing City, the place where he'd originally planned to attend university; however, the hectic nature of the city had proven too much for him to deal with after Flight T396 went down. The traumatic event changed him in more ways than one. He needed a change of pace—and here he was. The brilliant rays of the moon shone through the stained windows of his apartment, rousing him from his slumber. “Must be time to start the day.” he muttered to himself sleepily. Living in a city mostly populated by vampires meant that he had to become accustomed to sleeping during the day and being awake at night. It hadn’t been an easy transition; however, a sleeping pill here and there helped to mitigate the process.

Destin rose to his feet and nabbed a pair of pants slung over a chair near his bed. Then, on his way toward the door, he grabbed a clean shirt from a pile sitting on his dresser before slipping it over his head. When he opened his front door, he was surprised to see an envelope laying on the brown placemat sitting just outside of it. “The sigil of the Vankoryth Détente.” he said in a suspicious tone, wondering what business they had with him. After all, he hadn’t been here long enough to make a name for himself. He was a nobody.

He had received an invitation to something called the Ball of Chaos. He wasn’t terribly fond of dances but this would serve as a good opportunity for him to meet some of the locals. Maybe then he could find someone who could help him learn more about his power. Someone who could help him control it. There was one thing he needed to do before then, though: find something nice to wear. So, Destin stepped out of his apartment, hopefully to find someone who could direct him to the nearest clothes store.
