Fire
"Clear your mind Spyro, and feel the fire that flows through your veins. Allow its heat to consume you, and breathe with it. Now, rise up and release the firestorm within you!"

Ice
"The power of ice also moves through you, just as the chilled winds whip through your wings. Let it... expand!"

Electricity
"Surrender to its erratic nature. Allow its energy to charge through your body and anticipate its movement... then unleash it...willingly."

Earth
"The power of earth and nature is a mighty one, for as the earth moves, so does everything with it. Be mindful as you wield it."

Dragon Time
"The purple dragon can wield many abilities that others cannot, including time itself. Learn to master this ability, and you would be able to see things almost before they happen. But... use this gift sparingly, only when circumstances demand. Manipulation of time is not to be done without the utmost care."

Convexity
The most powerful of Spyro's elements; it emits a pulse of purple energy from Spyro's maw. Convexity blasts crush and pulverize everything in their path while erupting the surrounding area in inferno.

Spyro The Dragon followed closely behind Cynder, "That's only because I didn't know where I was going!" He growled playfully as he walked behind her, noticing the vampire but saying nothing. He then stayed silent as he sat next to Cynder grinning with happiness.

Spyro The Dragon nuzzled her back, licking her cheek lightly, "I'm Spyro..but I'm not a boy there sir.." He growled slightly as he rubbed the top of his head under Cynder's chin, "I'm ganna go grab something to eat, are you hungry?" he asked lifting himself and turning towards the door.

Spyro The Dragon turned back towards rage, glancing at him in a protective manner before running out of the door and gliding into the air. He would go out hinting for deer, deer sounded good right about now.

Spyro The Dragon returned a few moments later, a small buck within his grasp as he dropped it in front of her, "For you..unless you want something else?" He asked as he licked his face of the blood. Though his eyes shifted from her to Rage.

Spyro The Dragon grinned slightly when he heard her words, "I'm glad you like it.." he said softly as he nuzzled her shoulder before tearing into its shoulder. "Whats a oil treatment.." He asked softly as he swallowed the hunk of meat hole. He then shook his head, "Ha..no thanks." He said a bit awkwardly, he already didn't like this guy, and he wouldn't have him rubbing oil all over him. Better yet his mate, but he said nothing, just stared at the buck and ate.

Spyro The Dragon shook his head wearily, "I-i don't know..I think my scales are fine really." He said with a soft chuckle as he took another bite of the buck before turning to Cynder, "but for you..alright." He said with a shrug. If she trusted him, then he would just have to learn how to.

Spyro The Dragon took one last bite of buck before it suddenly disappeared, "Alright.." He said softly as he let out a sigh and cleaned his paws, careful not to cut his tongue on his sharp claws. He then cleaned up his snout and chest, "Guess I'll go after her." He said stretching slowly.

Spyro The Dragon looked to the milk that appeared and sniffed it before pulling back and sneezing. "ew.." He said softly as he shook his head and growled. The only thing he ever drank was water, and this weird stuff smelt like crap. He then watched Cynder and Rage smiling slightly.

Spyro The Dragon heaved a sigh as he walked over to Rage, lifting a brow with a worried and curious look in his bright eyes. He then lay in front of him, waiting for him to just get it over with.

Spyro The Dragon his whole body went limp as he just closed his eyes, and just enjoyed the relief. Normally he had to worry about every dragon in the world, keeping them safe and all, but this relieved a bit of it.

Because I have a few things to take care of...I need to speak with the elders about something." He whispered as he embraced her once more before pulling back a bit.

Deep in the forest a flock of birds took flight like a squadron of scrambled fighters. The darted into the skies as a great leviathan invaded their homes. Its wings weaved through the dense canopy of the forest with the skill of a veteran ace. Only sparse twigs snapped at the passing of the large frame of the creature. Glowing red eyes shot sparing glances at the brush that zoomed beneath the long flat scaled belly.

The great dragon had only just awoken. How long had it been? A week? A month? Nothing felt familiar. His heart was empty. Broken. Now the only thing that calmed him was the sound of the trees rushing past him as he retreated from his past.

Wait.

That smell.

Could it be?

Was it her?

It felt like it had been ages since they had last seen each other. They were in a forest - much like this one - living out their lives. Then it happened. He didn't have time to say good bye. He didn't have time to tell her what had happened. He didn't have time to ensure he would return.

He didn't have time to save him.

With great speed and stealth the dragon darted through the trees like an excited serpent. He weaved through the underbrush and followed the sweet scent. Wait. There was something else. Another dragon?

Spyro moved more slowly now. He made sure to be quiet as he approached the edge of the clearing. Finally, his two fiery red eyes peaked out from between the leaves.

It was her. Spyro simply stared at Cynder from his stealthy perch. She had grown considerably. Had she succumbed to the darkness again, or had she simply matured?

By the Dragon Realms, how long had he been gone?

His eyes discovered her paw resting on another. This paw, however, belonged to this other dragon. Who was he? What was she doing? Spyro's heart plummeted into his belly. The dragon's claws dug deeply into the tree's flesh and his whole body began to quiver. It was as if his heart had fallen right out of his body and rolled between their paws before they touched - before it was crushed.

Steaming tears clouded his eyes. His razor sharp teeth ground together like knives and sharpening stones. A short bull-like snort erupted from his nostrils. Sorrow overflowed his soul. His heart burned with hate and rage.

How dare he.

A year and a half?

Guilt topped his cocktail of bitter emotions. His fiery red eyes burned with hurt, confusion, loneliness, hatred, and rage. The dragon took a step back, dislodging his claws from the bark with a loud snap. He glared angrily at Draco and again at Cynder with sadness.

When the flames consumed the brush, Cynder would briefly see a familiar purple face. Yet this face was worn and weathered by grief and bitterness. A long scar stretched across his left eye.

However, before she could get a good look the full sized purple dragon vanished into the undergrowth. A moment later a large silhouette burst from the trees. It flew into the distance with enormous wings and great haste.

In the distance, the purple dragon let out a deafening roar of anguish as he speed away from the horrifying sight. It was the sound of a being that had just lost everything. It was the outcry of a broken soul consumed by despair. The faint dark shape disappeared over the mountains.

From the lower reaches of the mountains emerges the shape of a large purple dragon. He soars dangerously close to the cliff face as he scans the mountain with fiery red eyes. Deep anguish scarred his face. Finally the dragon took a sudden turn - directly into the icy rocks - and vanished.

The cavern that Spyro vanished into was like a serpentine labyrinth that descended into the heart of the mountain. However, the purple dragon felt no need to venture that deep into its dark depths. Instead he sat adjacent to a rather deep yet narrow pit. He gazed down into the deep shadows, as if it reflected his own soul.

A skylight illuminated this portion of the cavern. Now that his whole body was visible, Cynder could get a good look at him. He had grown considerably since they last saw each other. Spyro was full-sized adult dragon. His scales glistened with scarlet purple rays as the sunlight reflected off them. Large brownish yellow wings tucked themselves neatly at his sides, but one lay slightly loose. This one bore several holes in its membrane. Long spiraled horns stood erect on his head as a large muscular spined tail flopped absentmindedly.

He was facing away from Cynder.

"Time was of the essence..." he rumbled. Spyro's voice was deep, guttural, and piercing. He still refused to look at Cynder, but instead bowed his head and drilled his gaze into the ice. One of his clawed paws was placed slightly foreward, as if he had intended to thrust it over the edge of the chasm. Due to its size, it be impossible for him to spread his wings as he fell. "I didn't..." his voice quivered. "...I thought I would be back soon..."

The dragon slowly turned his head and looked at Cynder. His scar - the one that clung across the eye - sneered at her. A single tear dripped from the tired eye that revealed a soul that had lost all purpose - all motivation. Spyro dug his forward paw's talons into the ice like a hot knife through butter.

"The Swamp was burning..." he finally said. "I was gathering food, and Hunter found me. He said that the Swamp - my home - was being plundered and burned by a rampaging band of gnorcs. There was no time, otherwise I would have told you. When I got there, much of it was already destroyed. Many dragonflies were already slain. Enraged, I slew over a score of their numbers without mercy.

"They're dead, Cynder." his body quaked. "Hunter, Flash, Nina... and Sparx... We were overpowered. I could hear their screams as a tree pinned me to the earth. When they surrounded me, the only thing I could do was save myself..

"I... I... I shut myself inside the Crystal, Cynder. I locked myself in stasis so that I could survive the destruction. I had no idea I would be locked inside for so long...

"I'm sorry..." he lowered his head and sobbed.

A weak smile twinged the edges of his snout - the first in a very long time. He let out a long sigh. "After that day, you had became the last thing that drove me on. Inside the crystal, you filled my dreams. Originally I had thought only a few days or a week had passed, but I was oh so very wrong..." his foreleg quivered. "When I saw you... My heart shattered like glass. I lost all purpose - all hope. Darkness filled me. Sorrow, anguish, hate, and rage consumed me. I am very sorry that I abandoned you, Cynder..." Spyro sighed and looked into her eyes. "... Are our children truly gone from this world?"

Out of the corner of his eye he caught Draco. Immediately his blood began to boil. The near fatal wounds were still fresh on his heart, and fury still leaked from them.

Spyro refused to look at him.

Spyro finally looked at the rest of her body, and his eyes went wide with worry at her condition. The dragon drooped his head beneath her midsection and lifted her up onto his back. With gingerly care he walked down another passage in the cavern until they got to a rounder chamber illuminated by light that shone through the icy walls. He gently rested her on the ground and laid next to her. His paw rested in the crook of her foreleg while he placed his head on her neck.

From within the dark shadows of depression and bitterness that filled his soul, a glimmer of light surfaced.

"I will never leave you again, my love..." he whispered softly.

"I promise..." he replied before returning a lick on her cheek. "Now rest. You have expended yourself. I will get food in the morning."
