Fire
"Clear your mind Spyro, and feel the fire that flows through your veins. Allow its heat to consume you, and breathe with it. Now, rise up and release the firestorm within you!"

Ice
"The power of ice also moves through you, just as the chilled winds whip through your wings. Let it... expand!"

Electricity
"Surrender to its erratic nature. Allow its energy to charge through your body and anticipate its movement... then unleash it...willingly."

Earth
"The power of earth and nature is a mighty one, for as the earth moves, so does everything with it. Be mindful as you wield it."

Dragon Time
"The purple dragon can wield many abilities that others cannot, including time itself. Learn to master this ability, and you would be able to see things almost before they happen. But... use this gift sparingly, only when circumstances demand. Manipulation of time is not to be done without the utmost care."

Convexity
The most powerful of Spyro's elements; it emits a pulse of purple energy from Spyro's maw. Convexity blasts crush and pulverize everything in their path while erupting the surrounding area in inferno.

Spyro sighed with growing contentment as he scooted closer and wrapped his tail around her weak body. He was careful - knowing that she had grown frail from the relentless and mad hike on foot into the mountains. The large purple dragon draped his neck further around her body. "Very well... Let me know if you get hungry. You will need to stay in this cave for a time so your body can heal, so I will need to depart from time to time to bring us food."

"So am I, my love..." he yawned. "So am I..."

Cynder filled his waning gaze as sleep took him.

High in the rafters rested an enormous reptilian figure that was shrouded in shadow. Its evenly spread clawed paws dug deeply into the wooden beams to prevent it from crashing down into the bar below. Deep purple scales lined its sides, back, head, and tail while golden platelets protected his belly. A long muscular tail spiraled up one of the beams. Large wings folded themselves neatly at its flanks as two crooked horns jutted from its forehead. Two fiery red eyes observed the strange creatures below with fascinated curiosity.

The dragon continued to silently lurk high up in the rafters. It was a miracle that the wooden beams did not simply splinter from the leviathan's great size. As he observed, his fiery red glowing eyes seemed to burn into each of the figures. They were strange squishy things, especially Strahga who looked very... naked to him - pasty and soft. His gaze shifted to Sorre, which appeared some two-legged furred animal in his eyes. Then there was the naga-like creature. Finally, his gaze settled on Susan. This was an interesting being. She had similarities with his own kind, but also bore characteristics akin to these other creatures.

Spyro let out a soft snort. His body suddenly froze. Could they hear that?

The enormous dragon that spread himself over the rafters glared at Strahga, who had apparently noticed him. His glowing red eyes drilled into his being as he was still trying to comprehend what he was. Spyro's gaze was powerful, piercing, yet tired. He had no reason to fight, but would defend himself if the need arose. Very few had been able to stand against the purple dragon - even when he was young.

The dragon was fast. Very fast. His massive tree trunk of a tail lashed out like a whip against the strange humanoid dragon creature. He tried not to hit hard enough to injure her several - just to knock the wind out of her.

"Choose your actions wisely." he rumbled. His voice was deep, guttural, and piercing, and his eyes were like an inferno. "Do you truly wish to play this game with me?"

Spyro let out a sulfur-filled snort that erupted with a small cloud of smoke. With a hair-raising creak the dragon pried its claws from the wooden beams and leaped onto the floor below. Its motion was like a cat jumping from a high counter, except the whole room shook at the dragon's landing. Tables, chairs, plates, and glasses rattled from the vibrations. On all fours he towered above the other patrons. His claws clicked the hardwood floors as he circled around to a less crowded part of the room.

"I am here because I am here." he said as his glowing red eyes narrowed at Susan. There was a powerful magical energy that resonated from the titan. "There is no need to be so shocked about this phenomenon - only accept that it is. Now if I may... What are you?"

Spyro snorted again at the whelp. He weaved between the empty tables with little effort before taking a seat in a far off corner. The dragon continued to observe the strange creatures in the bar. As he did so, he reminded himself that he should leave soon and check on Cynder. Her injuries were not healed enough for her to leave their den.

How did he get in here again?

Spyro let out a deep sigh before climbing his way into the rafters again. After a moment of navigating the rickety jungle jim, he located a window large enough for him to squirm through. The flapping of massive wings faded into the distance.

From the lower reaches of the mountains emerges the shape of a large purple dragon. Gripped in a muscular talon is the lifeless body of a large wild elk. It soars dangerously close to the cliff before abruptly vanishing through a small crevace. Within the cave was a large icy labyrinth filled with twisting tubular tunnels. The dragon gripped the elk in its mouth and lumbered down one of the passages. After a few turns he eventually came to a large circular chamber littered with tree branches, animal bones, and an assortment of treasure that dragons were all too known of collecting.

The purple leviathan let out a snort and a puff of smoke that collected at the roof of the chamber before inevitably descending to the icy floor. He dropped the mawed game from his powerful reptilian jaw, causing it to hit the ground with a stiffened thud.

"Cynder, you are still weak..." the dragon spoke. His voice was deep, guttural, piercing, yet intelligent, like his fiery red glowing eyes that eyed the female with utmost care. "You need to rest. I will prepare our meal."

Spyro reared back his head and sucked in a lung full of air. Smoke drippled from the corners of his maw. His mouth opened wide, giving way to a raging inferno that consumed the carcass. The flame thrower surged for a few seconds before abrutly stopping as the dragon snapped his maw closed. He smirked at the small tongues of flame that continued to dance across the elk's flank. With little more than a blow, he exhaled a frigid gust of wind that extinguished the flames and cooled the meat.

Finally, he pushed the freshly charbroiled elk to Cynder with his long horns.

Spyro had acquired the elk for them both. He of course would give a larger portion to her. Her injuries were still healing and needed extra nourishment. The dragon plopped down on the opposite side of the charred elk. With a large clawed paw he tore off one of the legs, and then ripped off a chunk of the cooked muscle.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

Spyro nodded and frowned at the wing. He knew that it needed some sort of attention - to be set or splinted - but he honestly had no idea what to do. Perhaps he could find a healer in the lands below.

"You will be safe here..." he said in a reassuring tone. "There's ice for water and I will be regularly bringing in game. The entrance is a vertical cliff. Not many creatures carry the ability to ascend this far into the peaks."

"By the way... I've seen the strange two-legged creatures that inhabit this land. Do you know what they are? They are small, soft, and have pasty smooth hides."

"Can you tell me about them? Are they friendly? Are they territorial?" he said before cracking open a femur and sucking the marrow from it. "What about healers? I fear your injuries will not heal correctly on their own..."

Spyro thought for a moment. It was a risk, but a risk he would have to take. Still, he had seen only a handful of dragon-like creatures in these lands. What if they recoiled from him?

"Are they used to dragons, or would our appearances frighten and provoke them to an attack?"

The dragon continued to silently watch Ipecac from high in the rafters. It was a miracle that the wooden beams did not simply splinter from the leviathan's great size. As he observed, his fiery red glowing eyes seemed to burn straight through the creature. Finally, the dragon retracted his claws from the beams, causing a low groan to ripple through the wood. With the stealth of a panther he weaved between the rafters as he circled to Ipecac's rear.

Spyro growled in irritation. Damn! He couldn't believe that he missed that shot. The dragon landed gracefully in the rafters ans snorted a cloud of ashy smoke. His eyes suddenly went wide as the other dragon pounced him. How did he not notice her before? Wait... A purple dragon?!

He was too bewildered by this sight to realize that the rafters were now zooming past him. The floor filled his vision as a loud CRASH filled the room. Tables beneath the large dragon splintered and plateware shattered. A shockwave rippled across the room.

The purple dragon let out a groan.

Spyro lifted himself from the pile of broken beams, tables, chairs, and other assorted furniture and shook himself the way a wet dog did. He grumbled before taking a few steps towards a less densely occupied portion of the bar. The dragon turned and eyed Sierra with his glowing red eyes.

"Impossible..." he said quietly. His voice was deep and guttural. It was also piercing, just like his eyes. A long forked tongue flicked from his reptilian maw. "... Another purple dragon."

The large purple dragon circled Sierra. He gave her a curious look as he sniffed her. It was impossible. He was supposed to be the only purple dragon - a special breed that only hatched once every ten generations. If only Ignitus was around to explain this one...

"Tell me your name, whelp." he said.

In truth, Spryo had no idea what to do either. The only other purple dragon he had ever encountered tried to destroy his world. If it wasn't for Spyro, then he would have. He was about to speak again, but the door's groan perked his ears. His infernal eyes went wide.

"Cynder!" he gaped as he trotted to the black dragon's side, completely forgetting about Sierra. "You shouldn't be here... You need to rest and heal! What possessed you to come so far on your own?" Spyro braced his body against hers to offer his support.

"I would have been back shortly..." he nuzzled her before looking back at Sierra. "I.. am not certain. I came to the city to look for someone to help with your injuries, and to hunt. Then this youngling tackled me from my perch. Cynder - look at her! She's another!"

He led Cynder over to a less occupied area and eased her down gently. "Here... Lie down and rest. You've come a long way on your own."

Spyro laid beside Cynder and draped his large yellow wing over her body. A few scorched holes dotted a part of the membrane. He let out a sigh as he saw her wing. The dragon knew nothing about medical care, and it hurt him to see his beloved in such a condition.

He returned his attention to Sierra and continued to watch her curiously as if he was staring at a clone.

"I was just surprised..." Spyro said as he frowned at Cynder's pain. "You see... I have never seen another purple dragon before, besides another, but that's another story... There is only supposed to be one purple dragon every great many years."

"Unfortunately I have not had the need to learn any medical skills..." he nuzzled the female dragon again. "Now I resent not spending any time acquiring that knowledge. Can you help her?"
