Description

-=:Kiki:=-

Image
Full Name:- Steven Nelson
Age:- 19
Clique:- Geeks.

Ally Cliques:- Outsiders
Enemy Cliques:- ----

----

Height:- 5'10" -:Weight 150lbs

Eyes:- Brown to green, changes. -:Ethnicity 1/2 Norwegian, 1/4 English, 1/4 Welsh.

Hair Color:- Dark Brown. -:Hair Style Long and naturally straight.

-:More About Me:-

Physical Description:- I'm average weight and height for my age, a little short among my friends. I have slight muscle in my arms, no visible muscle in my abs, and my legs are lean and tough from running in both Track and Cross Country. I'm told that my shoulders make great pillows, but since they're my shoulders, I'm unable to verify this.

Personality:- I'm pretty outgoing, and it shows during my time off if I have the opportunity to hang out with people. I enjoy being around other people and if not talking to them, simply listening in on their conversations with others. When it comes to girls I'm a bit of a flirt, but having basically been labeled a geek more or less killed my dating chances in high school. Um, not a whole lot more I can think of to say other than I'm very much myself around others, and it's unlikely you'll see me act like someone I'm not.

History:- Well, I was born in 1992 somewhere in northern Virginia. I went to both elementary school and high school in the same system, having never had to be the 'new kid' at school. I went off to college in Florida for a year and, having done not so well, have returned home. As of right now, I'm hunting jobs in the counties around my own.

Minimum of 2. Personal belongings, jewelry, tattoos, etc.
Necklace:- A silver chain with four 5-yen pieces slung onto it.
Watch:- A watch purchased at walmart.

Into the Cafeteria walked Steven his duffel bag slung over one shoulder. He'd taken to carrying it, and practically everything he owned, with him at all times. He trusted the others, but not so far as to leave his stuff just lying around. He spotted Kacie and, with his feelings still jumbled, seated himself a few tables down, content to play with the rope in his bag.

At her words, he looked up, unsure what to say. Should he dare to tell her how he felt, or should he simply answer as succinctly as possible? It wouldn't be easy, that was for sure. He'd been through the situation dozens of times. He'd flirt, then think things that weren't real, and then things would get weird between him and whoever he'd flirted with, and then they would drift apart. But this time, things seemed to have taken a different turn. Perhaps it was simply the confined living space.

"Oh, here and there. I've been wondering about whether we're allowed out of the building and, if not, what keeps us in. I mean, aside from the locks, that is."

Steven Nelson shuffled a bit in discomfort. He was a bit confused, but as his eyes looked back to the rope he'd been playing with, he smiled. He'd managed to, without looking, tie a safety knot in the rope. It was nice to know he still remembered the trick from when he rode horses back home. Home...That was a funny thing to think about.

"We only have to kill one person? I thought they wanted all but one to die. Eh, I think we'll be alright. We seem to be getting along so far, any ways, and that something." He sighed and a smile crept across his lips. "Sorry. There's no real reason to talk about something so macabre. Especially not when someone as nice as you is around." He visibly relaxed, glad they were talking again. But would that be that? Would they only ever talk? He shrugged mentally, though he could still see her and Judas standing side by side, proclaiming themselves king and queen. He'd never be able to match up against someone like Judas. Not if he wanted the same girl anyways.

The boy shook his head, though his smile did dim a bit. Her words made him a little happier inside, but he felt that the situation they were in, what with the awkwardness, was more his fault than anything. He had been the one to suggest it, after all. He looked up from the rope and put it aside, letting the knot sit on the table.

"Kacie, it's not your fault. I was...foolish that night." He almost added, 'Just like I might be again,' but held it in check, not wanting to risk the fragility of what was going on. He too thought of their kiss, though as fond as the memory was, it pained him to think about it. Perhaps, given some time, he might be able to approach her in such a way again, but it wouldn't likely be anytime soon.

Steven Nelson chuckled softly at the thought of teaching the others to dance. He began to think of various pairings that, as he thought of, made his chuckle turn into a deep, rich laugh. He covered his mouth, though chuckles could still be heard, fearing he might be thought of as rude.

"I'm sorry. I started thinking of the others all dancing with each other, and some of the pairs in my head gave me a bit of a kick." He could see she was somewhat unhappy, but he couldn't tell what had caused it. Had he said something that had made her uncomfortable? He thought over their conversation and couldn't think of anything that might have done it, but then again, he wasn't exactly the best at thinking like a woman. With hesitant words, he asked, "Kacie, are you alright? You look like something's bothering you. You don't have to tell me what it is, but if you want to, you can."

Steven Nelson listened as she dismissed his worry as nothing needed. He suspected there was something she wasn't telling him, but he decided that, if she wanted tot ell him, she would in her own time. No need to pressure her for it. He might have done so once long ago, but he'd learned to check his curiosity, no matter how much he wanted to know.

As she asked about the knot, however, he found his thoughts once more return back home to the rural county he'd lived in. He picked up the short bit of rope and rolled it over and over with his hands, admiring the pattern. "This? I learned it from my mother. Back home, my family has a few horses. When you tie them to a fence, you use a knot like this so they can't get away. However, once you're on, you just reach down and," he grabbed the end that stuck out and in one fluid motion undid the knot with a pull, "pull it free. It's basically a slipknot. And hidden skills? Well, anything someone might need to know to live in a house in the country. I know how to hunt, though I've never actually done so, I learned karate at a dojo a few towns over from mine, ummmm...I can cook, to some degree, I can weave baskets, I mean, nothing terrifyingly useful inside a school, but it can come in handy." He scratched the back of his head and then his chin to get rid of an itch. His fingers ran over the beard he'd grown recently and he smiled, proud of it, though he wished he could shave it to look nice.

Steven Nelson laughed again, taking a few moments before calming himself. The thought of riding across the county on a horse struck him as funny, though he would never admit to actually having wanted to do so. "Unfortunately, we don't. Everything's a bit, ah, too far to do that. My high school is about ten minutes away, by car, at 55mph. And I suppose I could have a ranch, but I don't know that I'd be terribly well cut out to wear jeans, plaid shirts, and stetson hats. I prefer listening to music, or even playing it, or writing."

He couldn't think of the last time he'd opened up to someone like this, but it felt good. He was enjoying simply sharing his thoughts without worrying about being judged. Without him paying attention, his eyes glanced at her figure. He still found her attractive, that was sure, but he was afraid to do anything. He didn't want to mess things up with a misspoken word or an improper action.

Before he thought about the words, he said, "Perhaps if we make it out of here, you and I could start tha-" He cut himself short, silently berating himself for being so stupid. And he'd just been thinking about not messing up too. How stupid could he be?

Steven Nelson shrugged his shoulders. "Rock's alright. I'm actually a fan of just about nay music, really, though I enjoy jazz quite a bit." He chuckled softly and then leaned back a bit, the edge of the table pushing into his lower back. "I don't write music, but I do play. And I only sing on my own. I've been told I'm not terribly good. I play trumpet, in case you're wondering."

He sighed. He missed his trumpet, even though he hardly had played it since high school. He always felt like a different person, a successful person, when he was on stage in a band, playing his instrument. Perhaps he should have gone to college for music and then been in the industry all his life. Well, that might not happen now, but oh well. He began to absentmindedly hum the tune to 'Moondance'.

Steven Nelson chuckled softly and stopped humming, looking up at her. She seemed happier than before, but he couldn't shake the feeling that she was holding back a bit. He concluded it was just his imagination and that she actually was relaxed and content. He stretched his arms above his head, his hands grabbing each other and flexing outward.

"No actually," he said after a yawn. "I've actually only ever sung when I'm showering, or in my room alone. Sometimes when I drive, I'll sing, but only if I'm alone or I can't help myself, which isn't often." He thought about offering to sing right then, but realized he'd be hesitant to because he thought she might laugh at him for trying. He went back to humming, eventually switching to 'Sway'.

He thought for a moment and sighed. "Alright. I'll sing for you." He cleared his throat and then he picked up the pitch in his head. It was so simple, not only because he'd heard the song dozens of times, but because he had always had an ear for pitch. He inhaled, and began, his voice a bit deeper than normal, as he wasn't one for high notes.

"Like a flower bending in the breeze, bend with me, sway with ease. When we dance you have a way with me, stay with me, sway with me. Other dancers may be on the floor, dear, but my eyes will see only you. Only you have that magic technique, when we sway I go weak." As he sang, he could hear the music in his head, allowing his to keep up in pitch as well as bring out the proper volume. he didn't think about the potential to be heard by others outside the room, nor did he care. It wasn't often that he sung for someone, but when he did, he knew there wasn't much he would hide afterwards.

After getting the two stanzas out of the way, he cleared his throat and blushed before looking down in embarrassment.

Steven Nelson looked back up at her, only to find she'd moved her head down and closer to try and look at his eyes. He hesitated, his breath catching with only a few inches between them. He blinked, and a second passed. Two seconds. He blinked again and looked into her eyes. He closed his eyes and smiled, breathing out through his nose. He should have done it, but he was too afraid.

"I never said I couldn't, I only said I don't. People tend to tell me not to, though for what reason I can't understand. And yeah, playing a trumpet for eight years gave me a pretty good ear for pitch, though I couldn't tell you what the notes were by hearing them." He shook his head slightly, moving back a few more inches. Damn her eyes were temptingly good-looking. He couldn't keep the thought out of his head. he sighed and, fearing the worst, asked her a question he figured would earn him a smack across the face.

"Kacie...May I kiss you again?" He wanted her permission this time, not something off the wall and dangerously random.

Steven Nelson smiled softly and leaned forward once more. His left hand lifted and rested against her face as his lips brushed hers. It was only for a moment, but to him, that moment seemed better than any he could think of. He enjoyed the softness of her lips for what time he could and then pulled back, his hand sliding down her cheek slowly.

"I wish I'd asked sooner. Perhaps then I wouldn't have kept myself hidden in fear of you. I-" he paused, trying to sort his thoughts so they made sense. "I have feelings for you, that much is certain, but I felt foolish because I didn't know how you felt. That's why I...why it got so awkward." He smiled somewhat, his own cheeks darkening and warming up a bit as he admitted what he felt. He didn't know her reputation, hardly knew anything about her really, but he was seeing her as she was now: a gorgeous, kind person who, in his mind, might share the feelings he had.

Steven Nelson he took her hand in his, admiring the softness compared to the roughness of his, what with the calluses he'd developed. He was afraid now, but for another reason. He was afraid to let this go. He smiled and kissed the back of her hand before speaking.

"I couldn't take my mind off of you, though I'll admit that, at first, I was attracted physically. But I've never known anyone who was attracted by personality before looks. And you certainly have looks." He hummed a bit of nonsense and then asked, "So...I feel odd for asking...but how do you feel about this?"

"In more ways than..." He paused to think about what she'd said. He'd never had anyone tell him he looked good before. Well, not unless he was dressed up for a dance, or for a wedding, or something reasonably formal. He chuckled hesitantly, unsure of how to respond. Deciding on talking about the other bit she'd said, he offered, "Well, We don't necessarily have to tell anyone about it. Sure, they might eventually find out, but if we don't want to speak of it until then, we don't have to." He adjusted himself, getting up then sitting beside her. He braced his right arm behind her, keeping himself propped up while he scratched at his chin again. Damned itch.

Steven Nelson smiled at her comment. "I'd noticed there was a razor in my bag, but I wasn't sure if everyone had gotten one or not. I mean, if it had been only me, I would've given it to one of you ladies. I don't mind being scruffy." He chuckled and sighed contentedly. This had turned out far better than how he'd thought it would end up. A question tugged at his mind, set upon him by her physique.

"Kacie, I'm curious about something. Where are you from? Florida?" He was hard-pressed with his guess, as he only really knew of two places in the country where one could find people who looked like her. Her tanned skin was alluring, certainly, but he'd always had skin a few shades darker than average, despite his heritage, and he had always wondered about it.

He couldn't help but lapse in a more quiet state as she spoke of living alone. He couldn't imagine how hard all the moving around must've been, let alone ending up living on your own afterwards. But then again, he could sympathize to a degree, having always found that he did well when on his own. As she asked about him, however, he offered a smile. Man was that happening a lot. Perhaps he was simply letting himself relax for the first time since he got here.

"Correct you are. Though many would say I don't live in the South at all. I was born in Virginia, moved to Maryland till I was four, then we moved back to Virginia. Before I was...Before I came here, I was living in a rural county about sixty miles outside of DC. But I've never held an accent beyond the political non-accent, which has been nice." He looked out the window the viewed the playground, feeling as if it were a thousand miles away. "As for my heritage, I'm all Euro. My father's side of the family can be traced back to Norway, with direct blood, and my mother gave me English and Welsh blood. So, one half Norwegian, a quarter English, and a quarter Welsh. No more a mutt than yourself."

Steven Nelson chuckled slightly at her mentioning Vikings. "I suppose I am. Can't you see me running barechested up a beach, giant axe swinging back and forth? Or perhaps I'd be more suited to a hammer...Who could tell. As for visiting, I have not. My uncle and cousins did, meeting some relatives who shared blood but their line hadn't left the country, and I can say I'd like to go as well." He thought back to the images they'd brought back, and just how green Norway seemed to be, even though he'd always thought of it as a frozen, tundra-like land. "Then again, I've only been out of the country a few times anyway." He thought about her jest about the anaconda and chuckled slightly. "Well, they are pretty dangerous, but I'm sure you'd be more than careful."

He remembered her doing yoga a few days prior and decided he might as well ask about it. "So, you do yoga. I can't say I've tried it myself, as I'm much more into either getting out and about or sitting in front of a computer all day, but I think that I might be good at it. Once did gymnastics as a kid."

Steven Nelson nodded and stood. He watched her, impressed, as he'd never been very good at anything but balancing. That wouldn't stop him from doing what he knew. He stepped into the area and then crouched, curling his right leg up underneath him until only the bottoms of his toes were on the floor. He lifted his other leg and crossed it over his right knee, balancing on the ball of his right foot. "I wasn't good at the more exciting stuff, but I did a little parkour last fall, and that, plus karate, dancing, and those gymnastics, taught me how to stay balanced. I could keep this up for some time." He chuckled and then snapped his right leg straight, vaulting into the air high enough for him to touch the ceiling before landing and rolling to dissipate the energy.

Steven Nelson inhaled somewhat as she stood so close. He could smell her skin, she was so close, and he couldn't help but feel the urge to close the gap as he'd done earlier. He chuckled lightly and put a hand on her upper arm.

"I think I could manage that. Not to mention it'll keep me in some kind of shape, if nothing else. And you in yoga pants? Not something I'd like to miss." He grinned mischievously, showing that, like all nerds, he had a darker, seedier side to his personality.
