Superman grit his teeth, grunting as he felt the titan's feet slam against his chest. The blow resounded like thunder, as blood flew from between his teeth. The attack had stunned him for a moment as he was flipped over. His eyes squinting through the whipping winds and pain to stare the monster in the face, bracing himself for the impact that was inevitable.

Superman was still after the collision, his eyes clinched tightly closed as his nerves screamed and muscles throbbed. His chest felt clouded as though his ribs have been shattered and his lungs were but a busted mess within him. He needed a moment. That few seconds being enough to restore the hero's strength with one last burst of vigor. Instantly, his eyes flashed open glaring with fury as he threw his left fist out towards the monster's face. His sledgehammer blows strong enough to hopefully repel the creature off him, and allow him to gain some space for error.

Superman forced himself to his feet. His body was hunched over with his right hand clutching his chest that still pained him. Something was broken...it had been a long time since he felt such pain, having been the trump card and supreme leader of the Justice League [screwing Wonder Woman and Batman], his strength had been unmatched until the world turned against him. They turned against him by creating this monster that would not only try to destroy him, but everyone as it lusted for challenge. He felt the prongs of the creature's fist stab into his abdomen, forcing more blood from between his teeth. His eyes were wide, the whites shining as he thought in horror, for once he was scared, had this monster grown stronger so quickly? The super heroes feet dangled above the floor, his back arched and hands going to grasp the titan's forearm to hopefully ease his body off the lethal protrusions. There was no way he could protect earth by the way this fight dragged on. This creature was going to keep getting stronger and-c-
