Swiftpaw stalked around the edge of the glen, he seemed to be un-nerved sense a few weeks ago. Maybe something was bothering him about where he came from, maybe it was something else. He paced closer to the edge with his nose in the air. He smelt something that didn't seem quite right. His brown eyes glanced around, 'maybe it was nothing' he thought and continued his pacing.

Swiftpaw stopped his pacing and seemed to frown. He sat down near a dead stump and sniffed around. The air seemed to hold another scent that he didn't know. He had never traveled this far into the woods and wasn't sure where he was. "Now, I wonder why my nose brought me here." He spoke to himself as he looked around with his light brown eyes. He didn't see anything that may cause his harm so he lay down to take a small break.

Swiftpaw perked his ears and flinched. Had he wandered into someones place? He wasn't sure so he stood and walked toward where he heard the voice coming from. Still he made sure he had an escape rout just in case things didn't turn out good for him. Slowly his silvery muzzle was out of the tree line. "Um..I didn't mean to intrude, but for some reason my nose brought me here." He seemed almost shy compared to the deep husky voice that came from the glen. He sniffed the air as he came out of the woods the rest of the way. 'WOLVES!' he thought to himself. "I am Swiftpaw, like I said I didn't mean to intrude." He stayed a few feet towards the woods in case he needed to make a quick get away.

Swiftpaw "Well, as I said my nose brought me here. Something about this place seems fimillar, but I just can't place it. I wasn't bothering to intrude and I can leave if you wish me to do so. I just need a small break before I head back to the mountains where I live....I don't even have a pack." He seemed to groan with that last statement. Things have been hard on him ever sense his mother was killed by hunters three years ago. He lowered his nose and sat down, he didn't think this wolf would cause him harm just yet, so he felt safe enough to sit there and wait. Maybe this wolf would invite him to the pack.

Swiftpaw "The last pack was all the way to the northern mountains, after my mother died I left the pack and haven't been back to them. For all I know the hunters could have killed the rest of them." He sighed and shook his muzzle before glancing around. "I think my mother brought me here once when I was a young pup. Barely old enough to walk if I can remember right." Again he shook his muzzle as if something was tickling it.

Swiftpaw "A home would be nice...I'm a good hunter. Kind of have to be when you live on your own. And I'm a good guard as well. I had to fight off a few wolves a couple weeks ago. They were trying to take my kill." He scrunched up his face before seeming to laugh. "You should have seen them run with their tails tucked. I would say that was about ten miles from here though." He shook his head and lay down panting, the sun was making his coat very hot and he didn't like it to much.

Swiftpaw looked down at the pup and grinned. "Seems like it. I would be glad to lay down with a new pack. It's been a while sense I have been around other wolves as friends." He chuckled and laid his head on his paws. His nose moving with his sniffing of the little pup. "What's your name, little one?" He asked in a soft voice, like the one his mother used with him.

Swiftpaw "I know it can be hard, but you have a good place here it seems. How old are you?" he asked Wolfina with a smile before he looked up at the other male wolf. "You said something about spies, they wouldn't happen to have a pine scent to them would they? If so I know where you can find them, they were the same ones that tried to take my kill." He grumped about the other wolves and raised his back paw to scratch at an old scar on his muzzle.

Swiftpaw "Oh really? Is that so? Let me see your stalking pose." He laughed and rolled over to his side while still watching her. He stretched out on the ground like a little puppy himself.

Swiftpaw "Hum, maybe a little lower on the back end there, and your front paws need to be just a little wider." He said as he sat back up. He showed her how he was telling her. "Just like this. Now keep the tail low, you don't want that to alert your pray." He chuckled and started stalking forward. His body low to the ground in measured steps. "There, you have it, now slowly walk forward keeping low to the ground. This is good if you ever hunt on your own. The less the pray hear and see of you the better."

Swiftpaw "Don't let it see you. Just a little lower." he said as he watched her. He was surprised at how fast she had picked it up. He seemed to have a smile on his face as he continued to watch her. "Now when you get close enough run and jump, you may be able to get us dinner tonight." He encouraged with a small chuckle.

Swiftpaw "You did very good, and now you can show off your first kill, good job." He smiled at her and licked the top of her head. He already felt close to her with everything she has already been through. He looked up to the other wolf and grinned before he lay back down in a shady spot, panting. "I wish it wasn't so hot out here. My thick fur seems to keep the heat in."

Swiftpaw "No little one, you go a head. It was your first kill and you deserve it." He smiled at her and shook his head. He then looked up at Sakima and frowned. "What do the spies you mention smell like? Do they have a slight pine scent to them?" He asked with a little concern in his voice.

Swiftpaw "The two wolves that attacked me and tried to steal my kill smelt like that. I don't know if they were part of a bigger pack, but they did look a little starved." He spoke without holding any anger of the night out of his voice. His tail whipped to the side where he was more comfortable. "If you need me to I can show you where I seem them last." He looked up with his brown eyes and waited.

Swiftpaw looked over at the little pup as she ate. He smiled and watched her. "So little one do you know of any good games?" He asked once he seen that she was almost finished. He noticed that she had a bit of the squirrels fur on her nose, and this made him chuckle.

Swiftpaw "That's a good game, I used to do that with my sisters. But they always won. I played tag with them to, that was the game I won. They were stronger then I was, but not as fast as I am. Are you fast? Or are you strong?" He asked as he watched the tree line. He wanted to make sure that this little pup was safe and he wasn't going to let anything happen to her.

Swiftpaw "Yes, that you are. I didn't even see you when I first came here. Not until he showed you to me. That was a good sign of trust for him to do that." He chuckled and scratched at the scar on his muzzle again. It was really bothering him today, to bad it never healed up right.

Swiftpaw "Well what shall we do? Sleep, play? Or what? It seems to me as if I am here with only you right now." He chuckled and made sure to keep the scared side of his face away from the little wolf pup.

Swiftpaw "Would you be able to show me the glen? I haven't been able to really get a good look around at it." He said as he watched her nuzzle his leg. He smiled happily and rose to his feet. He didn't really look like the wolves around here. His legs were longer and his body seemed more streamed lined.

Swiftpaw "Well, then let's go. Maybe you have a shady spot for me to lay down in with some water." He grinned, he was really hating his thick mountain fur now.

Swiftpaw "Aw, this is nice. The perfect place to rest and drink." With that he lowered his muzzle down to the water and lapped at it. Once he got his feel he lay down with his from paws in the water. "You know I may have to take a quick nap, you stay here with me so nothing happens?" He asked, looking at her with his brown eyes.

Swiftpaw woke up with a jolt and frowned. "Where did you go little pup?" He whispered and looked around with fear in his brown eyes. His front paws were still in the water and his nose smelt something that wasn't supposed to be there. He spotted the little pup and went over to her. "Come on, let's go to the shadows, it may be safer there. I won't let anything hurt you." He glanced at the odd creatures that just happened to show up during his nap.

Swiftpaw rolled his eyes and frowned. 'So this thing wanted to relax, in out glen.' He though, he was really wishing that the alpha was here now, he would know what do to. For now though he curled up around the pup and kept a weary eyes on the two strangers. Both looked like humans now and that's the one thing he didn't trust. His senses were on edge. "Just stay here, maybe they will go away." He whispered to his new little friend, he felt almost like a big brother to her.

Swiftpaw kept his eyes on the intruders as the one turned away. He still didn't understand why they were here. "Just stay quite and maybe they will go away." He whispered to the pup as he kept an eye on the one that had the hammer. He didn't have a good feeling about her.

Swiftpaw watched the one female and sniffed the air as she made a whole new forest grow out of no where. Now he really was uneasy. "Maybe we should go somewhere else, but I don't know if that would be a good thing." He whispered to the pup again as his eyes seemed to glow in the shadows. The silvery look on his muzzle shown a little in the dim light and the scar seemed to be more pronounced. He shook his head wondering what he should do now.
