Tachyglossus opens the bar doors a little, her pale face poking in to look into the bar before making the decision to actually enter. When she does, she drags her feet. One could observe she does this often as the pants she wears are dirty and worn at the hem. THe overweight girl makes her way without ceremony to a table near the bar counter, sitting down with a sigh and letting a black satchel fall off of her shoulder to her side. Her gray eyes scan the room as she fiddles with a few strands of her blue hair before muttering something incomprehensible.

Tachyglossus shifts a litle in the seat to try and get comfortable, but none would come. Old tailbone injuries have a habit of making sitting less than fun. She reaches over to her black shoulder bag and unzips it, taking out a notepad and pen. She sets them down in front of her, yawning, before opening it to a blank page. She clicks the pen a few times in thought... then her eye is caught by The Priestess and Willow.

Tachyglossus lightly lets the pen slip through her fingers until it's tip hits the page, her fingers sticll lightly touching it. She then slides her fingers down to the tip, flipping it before letting it slip through her fingers again. She does this over and over for a while as she watches the zealot and the woman who wore clothes that were perhaps too small for her robust figure. She finally drops the pen altogether as it rools off the page, gently bumping into her other arm which was resting upon the table. "Nothing like a good old zealot."

Tachyglossus snatches up her pen and notebook, shoving them into her black back, which is nondescript other than three metal skull and cross-bones offset to one side. With the collar of her olive green polo shirt not so neatly tucked, she walks over to the bar, sitting beside the neurotic zealot. She is quiet... she's there, but now much too intimidate to actually get the woman's attention, so she just quickly turns to the person on duty, Katy and clears her throat before requesting "Dr. Pepper, please."

"Indeed. Er, I mean thanks..." The young woman sighs and then takes a sip of the bubbly beverage. She is quiet for a moment before reaching down and retrieving her notebook and pen from her bag again and setting them down on the counter.

Tachyglossus quietly takes another sip... then just chugs the carbonated beverage down as a thought dawns on her head. She glances at her wrist watch, muttering under her breath. She quickly places her notebook and pen away, zipping up her satchel and throwing it over her shoulder, letting out a belch as she does so. "Excuse me..." she mutters to no one in particular before rising from her seat and speed walking out of the bar.

Into the bar comes the short, squat figure of the one labelled Tachyglossus, removing the illusion of an empty bar. However, she does not quite disrupt the peace as she shuffles across the floor, her jeans too long for her short legs and thus fraying at the hem and picking up dust from dragging against the floor. Her hands are shoved into her pockets and her head is tilted downward, a perpetual scowl worked into her eyes.

One foot in front of the other. Left, right, left right, left... Tachyglossus' downcast eyes forbade her from taking much note of any of the patrons in the bar until she reached the counter. She stared at the interface for a moment. Finally, she turned her head about, noticing a couple of men, one of which was cradling a cat. She smiles a little. She liked cats. Sort of. Well... they were soft at any rate. She looks forward again, curling in her lips, her nearly transparent eyebrows growing together in a furrow. Perhaps this was a bad idea. She takes a step away from the counter and turns around, looking for a table. A part of her wanted to talk over to someone, maybe the people with the cat since pets and babies both make great ice breakers, but on the other hand... wouldn't that be rude to waltz over and interrupt. "Errrmmmmm...." came a plaintive sound of discomfort. Bad ideas. Always bad ideas. At least those two seemed more inviting than the silver haired one observing from her perch, or the ... robot Tachy would assume in her ignorance, keeping a vigil.

Tachyglossus glances up when Rispetto turns to her and talks to her. She stares for a moment. What... just happened? This was most unusual. However, there was no point in despairing about an inability to overcome shyness and then run from an opportunity when it arose. "Sure," comes a response, carefully checking her tone to sound casual rather than elated or hopeful. She walks over and hops onto a stool, with a little bit of difficulty, beside Alrion and Rispetto. "Well.... yes I heard your names. I..." she trails off in a jolt when something comes streaking into the bar, nearly causing her to fall off the stool she'd just conquered. A hand goes to grab the counter to steady herself. Fortuitous it was that she was in the act of steadying herself, for had she not, she certainly would have been dethroned by the small gasp and lurch the resulted upon her hearing a gunshot somewhere in the vicinity. Her knuckles turn white and she looked sick for a moment, her face lined with concentration.

Tachyglossus seems to be mouthing some words as her lips moved and her eyes remained shut. After a moment she began to look a little less pale and she opened her eyes, tentatively looking around. "Um.... maybe I am just hearing things..." she responds gloomily. The bar seemed nearly empty when she entered, but how soon it became overstimulating was unbearable. She was fighting so hard not to change under the duress. She had to try and figure out what was.... "I am..." it seemed pointless to try and have a casual conversation at this point. Unlike others, she had not yet been desensitized. The talking cat was of smaller concern to her than the idea of a threat, such as the gunshot served. Then there was another bang as something entered the bar with particular flare. And-and more talking animals. Tachyglossus stares at Tag a little helpelessly, unsure how to respond. "Too many..." she closes her eyes again. She glances up at Arion, her eyes drawing to the axe. She wanted out, but didn't know who was shot, and why, and didn't hink it safe to make a run for the door. This was too much. Feeling threatened to such a degree she could not fight the transformation any further. It wasn't long before Tachyglossus was shrinking, growing hair and quills, and ended up as an oversized Echida, perched upon a stool, its front claws digging into the seat.

Tachyglossus continued to grip the edges of the stool, it's low belly dragging against it as it leaned just slightly forward, peering down at the distance between it and the ground. This caused it to back up, only to run out of stool space on the other end. Finally, Tachyglossus peered up from her now much lower vantage point at Alrion and just shook it's head, well, as best as it could with limited side-to-side mobility. Its eyes squinted, giving it the look of one who hated its situation. Worst of all, its mouth was not shaped right to form words. Tachyglossus glares at the Neko in a bit of jealousy at being able to change forms at will. A long sticky tongue protrudes from the long beak of the creature, only to rapidly be sucked in again. BLink, and one might have missed it.

Tachyglossus stares up at Alrion incredulously. Frustration was beginning to build at being unable to speak. Instead Tachyglossus tried to rear up on her haunches, swiping her broad, flat, yet nonetheless heavily clawed appendages at him. However, Echidnas aren't really built to stand on their hindlegs, and while flailing ineffectively, she tips over backwards and goes pitching from the stool to the floor.

Tachyglossus landed upon her quills, and while this softened the blow somewhat, it also clipped some of those beloved quills, which was quite uncomfortable. Plus some of them were digging into her back. However, she tries to remain still when Alrion dedicates his finaly act before departing to getting her back on her feet. Once with solide ground beneath her feet, she seems content... until she hears a voice. She looks around in surprise, then finally stares at Tag. She focuses very hard on forming a coherent sentence in her mind, wondering if her thoughts will be picked up.

Tachyglossus seems pacified with the response she received. She then crawls along the floor to get a better view of Tag from her downed position, her hairs and quills rolling hypnotically with every movement. She takes her time to turn herself around and stare up. Her thoughts are more impressions and feelings and garbled snippets of words until she takes the time to respond, her thoughts directed at the dragon. She turns a dirty look, well, as dirty a look as an echidna could give, at Seraphim, flicking her tongue out and in again.

Tachyglossus curls her claws, but this action is practically invisible as the loose skin, quills, and hairs all but conceal her broad feet. If it weren't for the ground being hard, she'd start digging herself a hole. Holes were just so attractive in this form. Or maybe find herself a hollowed out log to squeeze into. At least someplace to hide until the transformation wore off. At least things were starting to feel somewhat safe again. What was that about liking cats? Ah yes, she liked them better when they didn't talk. These thoughts are not projected, but rather are ungaurded, for Tachy assumes Tag can only receive thoughts meant for him to hear. After a moment she glances at the dragon.

Tachyglossus is beginning to find some amusement in Tag's questions for the neko. Even more so since they weren't directed at her. Such questions would leave her flustered.

Tachyglossus rolls onto her side, and then curls up into a protective ball. What exactly prompted this is unclear. However, she continues to 'speak' with Tag. He is interesting well enough, but it also helps that he is currently the only one with whom she can speak with.

Tachyglossus is also left by her lonesome, but in a more troubling perdicament. The only one who could understand her had left. Now there was only the matter of waiting to revert back to being human. That usually took a while. The quilled critter travelled at a slow pace along the floor of the bar. At least the place was fairly empty, and she did not fear being stepped on. Whilst her quills defended her against most creatures, it didn't help against most humans as they tended to wear shoes. Bloody damn shoes. The Echidna reached the exit, then realized she had no way of getting out. She scratched at it in aggravated futility.

Tachyglossus had continued to scratch against the metal. Sure, her claws were making scratches, but not really digging into the substance deep enough to help her. Feeling the vibrations of someone approaching, the little creature curls into a ball protectively. However, upon not being brought harm, she uncoils herself and realizes the door was open. Unable of a way to express her gratitude, the echidna scurries out as fast as her short legs will carry her... which, sadly, isn't very fast.
