Age: 16
Birthplace: Village of the Wind Deity, Southeast Asia
Appearance:

Personality
Talim is strikingly meek, inoccent, kind, moderate, and nice in contrast to the rest of the Soul Series cast, often attempting to dissuade opponents from fighting, and constantly showing mercy to her defeated enemies. Her comments often reveal self-doubt and worry. She often does not blame others for their actions, as shown in her SCIV ending where she forgives Algol for his actions, and sometimes will resurrect dead characters who were close to certain other characters, as shown in the same ending where she resurrects Algol's son, Arcturus. She has an ability to read the wind, often taking advice from it, as well as asking the wind to guide her in her journey. Overall, she is a kind-hearted character, and thus is aligned with good characters.
Equipment
Syi Salika & Loka Luha

Syi Salika and Loka Luha are Talim's signature weapons, a type of tonfa-like paired weapons called elbow blades, used by the wind-worshipping people of Southeast Asia in ceremonial dances. They are more commonly used as ritual items than as weapons. However, they are still quite deadly in the hands of a trained user. As Talim's default weapons, they are well-balanced and have no special effects. It is not made clear which blade is Syi Salika and which is Loka Luha.
Fighting Style
Talim is a close-range character who fights with her trademark wind dancing attacks. Her battle style heavily relies on seemingly quick and random strikes all around the opponent. She uses Escrima, a Filipino martial art. Her special stances place her in wild acrobatics to overwhelm the opponent. She has good mind games and mix-ups in the game, due to her small stature and the deception of fast attacks. Also, she has a good combo game. However, her body tends to jut out before her weapons, making most of her attacks interruptible. In addition, she has perhaps one of the smallest ranges of any character but her sheer speed is somewhat of a compensation. For the attacks that do land on the opponent, they deal a relatively low amount of damage, although, like Amy, they can be strung together in order to deal a decent amount of damage. Also, plenty of her attacks ironically often put her at a disadvantage even on impact and therefore, open for heavy punishment. Her repertoire lacks any Auto-Guard Impact option, so a Talim player is hard-pressed to find opportunities to gain the advantage. Because of these shortcomings, even experienced Talim players often list her as a low-tier character. Overall, most of her attacks are risky and provide little potential rewards. Like any other low-tier character, Talim is seldom used in tournaments, so a Talim player may take advantage of the opponent's unfamiliarity with Talim's fighting style and come out on top.
History
In the Village of the Wind Deity located in Southeast Asia (Philippines), there lived a small tribe of people who could control the winds. Talim was the granddaughter of the village's elder, Kalana, and daughter of its shaman, Sanput. Due to turmoil caused by the influences of the Spanish and Portuguese culture, she was reared to be its last priestess (Babaylan). The dark day that the Evil Seed pervaded through the sky, Talim felt the winds, and an evil aura that devoured everything in its path surged into her body, causing her to lose consciousness for days.
So begins...
A young girl dressed in strange clothing with long sleek black haired tied up armed with elbow-blades would (tonfas) approach up the cliff. Smiling she would stand on the precipice of the cliff, sighing content, her hair blowing in the soft breeze. As this would go on she would appear to speak to the wind quietly, almost seemingly comforted by this strange divinity, this transcendent beauty.
Her name was Talim and she spoke to the wind, for she knew it's words, and understood it's ways.
Born in West Philippines in the Village of the Wind Deity she had found herself here, on her quest for Soul Edge, also drawn here by strange upsurge of power within this mysterious place.
Hearing the arrival of the many people, she bowed slightly to everyone, "Greetings, where am I? I appear to have lost my way and well the wind seems miserable and distraught here." she would not elaborate on what she meant, she would just stand, fidgeting slightly with her blades, her eyes still closed.
"My the wind tells of such horrific things."
Shrugging she would smile politely, "I see... where is Bluff, because my compass acts strange within this place, it neither points north or south, it just instead points to the east..."
Staring at everyone, she was used to weird people, being one of the ones pursuing Soul Edge, but still did not make her feel any better, still fortunately she was trained to handle most things like this.
"Have any of you heard of Soul Edge, it's how I came to here, I am hunting and trying to find this artefact."
Reacting to the strange event she would ready herself, whispering, "Wind Guide me." when it left she felt oddly ill, and actually vomited over the cliff. Sighing she collapsed just avoiding to tumble off the cliff.
Slowly getting back up, she would sigh shaking her head, "The wind... the wind whispers sadness laced with it's tears... I suspect I can't leave this realm, but nor will I find Soul Edge, for it is supposed to be the most powerful of weapons, comprised of strange energy, I must destroy it so no one can wield it." pausing she would shake her head still feeling queezy, "I found the fragments in my village and knew that if must be destroyed, something like this can't be allowed to exist."
Shaking her head, "It corrupts who ever wields it, many a person who tried to manage it were instead changed by it. The first was Cervantes a legendary pirate whom found it, it refused to let him die. The second was Siegfried Schtauffen a noble knight whom went down a path of evil and became an abomination known as Nightmare..." there were tears now in her eyes, "He murdered many with great hatred, no one was spared. He is why I wish to destroy this weapon, for good."
Disagreeing she would shake her head, "There is two, Soul Calibur and Soul Edge, one of corrupts the other gives all the benefits of the other, without the chance or danger of become a monster. Soul Edge can only be destroyed, never purified, it's very existence is based on evil and malign practices."
She would consider slightly before speaking, "It's dangerous and I doubt you would last, don't underestimate due to age."
Peering around she would notice a tree, preforming a flips she would one of her elbow blades roughly while stabbing the other behind her, landing on her feet, then swinging once more, this time with both. After that, one more time, the blades leaving awful gashes and marks on the trunk, surprisingly appear to shake it slightly.
"I instead will use my Deity to do this, they sent me on this quest, I as Priestess must perform it."
A young teenager was sitting in lotus position her eyes shut and two tonfas near enough for her to grab them if necessary. She had long black hair and a very youthful face. Her clothing was stranger still, appearing fairly Asian in appearance with clear Eastern influences.
Her focus seemed to be immense, as she breathed slowly and with calculating gasps, each breath relaxing her as elicited from her lips. Altogether as of now she appeared fairly harmless, even innocent, but in truth this girl had been through much and was skilled highly skilled.
Knowing the sudden action, her hands reached for both tonfas, eyes still closed and legs still crossed, as she grabbed both spun them round and leapt up, went into fighting stance and said, "I do not wish to hurt you. Please there must be another way."
Relaxing she smiled, and lowered her tonfas, "Thank you. I am Talim Priestess of the Wind. I am rather new here and well was fighting earlier, but since fighting is not only training I was now training my body response by relaxing and listening." she went on, appearing rather happy, "I am rather lost what to do, my trail for Soul Edge an evil weapon has grown cold, so I must do something for time being. That weapon must be destroyed, since it's existence places us all in danger." pausing she went on, "It lives to corrupt those who wield it."
Nodding she completed focused on him, spinning her tonfas around instinctively in her grip, but replying, "You have, I traced some chaotic disturbances to this realm, I assumed it was the blade, turns out this place is just in such a decayed state. It seems we are both rulers of our respective people, though most would not realize it. I served my people in the Village of the Wind holding up our practices and skills to utter devotion."
"I assume said weapon was lost once more, was the man named Nightmare by any chance? He was the last to wield the weapon and he slaughtered many countless lives in his search to kill and destroy everyone. I saw the bodies as did some of my friends like Kilik and Yun Seong."
Pausing she acknowledged all this, "Well I see... I am sorry you had to suffer because the greed of one pirate. He's the one who began all this." relaxing she sighed, "If it's in the land here, then I must stay here and try do some good, my people knew my journey could be long and that I may never return. So they will accept this and move on, and meanwhile I can provide some good in this place."
Nodding, she walked on over to the portal and followed him through, unsure of where it would lead.
The clone Nexus dragged the exhausted Nexus into his home landing, that he built form the ground up...The clone disappeared promptly after sheathing his partner's sword. Nexus was caught by Heralding...who used a healing spell to help Nexus with his reserves. He healed his exhaustion, and Nexus' affinity for electricity took over, now that they were in the village.
Nexus' having this village surrounded by and electro-mag spell, allowed him to heal his injuries and reserves as long as he was conscious...Heralding helped with the latter.
The village was beautiful, spanning and extremley large area between mountains and hills of trees. Complete with a open outside market, and many many houses. Since they were in Nexus' house/mansion, this could be seen from the living room floor to ceiling windows. The rest of the room was immaculate.
Heralding placed his former pupil on the couch, and went to the kitchen to fetch Nexus' maid, Stacy. Who was working on tea apparently. But Heralding didn't actually find that out till he left the large living room with a fire place and a weapons rack in it. His long robes trailed behind him...
Appearing rather shocked she would walk over to the window and peer out thoughtfully, before finally speaking, "It's beautiful beyond measure... it actually makes me miss home a little. In our village we had great tall Wind Mills and amazing system of irrigation, it was was breath taking to see." sighing she would force a smile back, "I guess this is my new calling."
Nexus woke up...from exhaustion to excitement, seeing the young one like her new place of...
"Would you like to live here? I could have you in your own home? Unless you'd stay here in my place of living?" Nexus asked sincerely, sitting up, and taking off his sword belt...
Smiling softly she would reply, "I would appreciate that yes. I am very skilled in fighting and acrobatics so I promise I shall be of use." the teenager was confused, she was probably just homesick as this person was reminding her of Kilik.
