The Captain looked to Green and shook his head. "Higher paid? Nah we just have bigger guns, we caught the suspects didn't we? While you stood there and insulted us." He said, pointing to the bar. "Piss off." The Captain added.

Meanwhile the Mercenaries closed in, one of them withdrawing a Mana inhibition collar and a set of binders, a third mercenary keeping the light on the child.

"Is his shadow powers magical?" One asked, as they secured the kid with binders, and the aforementioned Mana inhibitor.

The Mercenaries laughed for a moment, and then they looked to eachother. "A Terran facility lacks the abilities to confine him, we'll keep him confined at the Tech Con base to the north of the city... of course... applied to Terran Law, should he remain on behavior, and not assault any Tech Con personnel." He explained, knowing that the cells in the detainment block were well lit, without any shadows.

"But of course, we'll ensure he's properly taken care of.. Take him to the APC, and let's get him processed."

The room where Parson was being kept was brightly lit, with piercing flourescent lights shining down from overhead. The walls of the cell were metal, and the door was a thick plazen glass, which was capable of stopping even most small arms fire. Two Mercenaries stood outside the door and waited for Inspector Kaye to transfer the boy out of the facility.

Parson was denied food and water for the past few days, as part of Tech Con's aim to wear him down, he was denied all forms of entertainment, and the soundproof cage he was in denied him social interaction. All part of Aschen psychological warfare.

Two Mercenaries waited on the other side of the airtight door, the energies of Mana Disruption could be felt as a slight tingling sensation as Randin passed through the barrier, an automated rotary plasma turret dangled out from the ceiling, high-resolution motion sensors capable of picking up a fly. Yes, not even a fly was allowed in this installation. The small thumb Sized Gypsy would have to use caution, as screens wired with electric currents covered the vents, and heavily armed soldiers patrolled the halls of the compound.

Randin would be accosted by the Tech Con security officer, whom sat at a desk adjacent to the door. "You will surrender your weapons and sign in here." He said, sliding a clipboard towards Randin.

"Check in and sign the prisoner transfer forms, then we'll send someone back to escort the prisoner out to your care." He said, over the din of his radio.

The two guards at the front gate looked to the van, and then tilted their heads. "I didn't know we contracted with an external source to maintain the base, we have our own people, cordon the van off and search it, could be a Halo trick." He said, the Trinnium Gate not opening, but the outer electric fence opening up, two HiLux Fast Response trucks, armed with rotary plasma cannons and pissed off mercs inside stared at the van and it's driver, the gate closing behind them with a loud clunk, while several mercenaries and security officers seemed to gather around the van, throwing open the doors and rummaging through the contents.

Inside the base, the Mercenaries led Randin through the halls, passing through several Anti-Magic forcefields, any magical being that tried to cross with the detective would be met with a systems shock of anti-magical energies. And once more two heavily armed soldiers, one of them seeing the fluttering creature, and attempting to swat it.

"Damn flies, I thought this base was airtight!" He complained.

The Cell block was also heavily fortified, with several armed guards watching Parson in his cell, two Soldiers rolling up a dolly with straps and restraints, a second mercenary handing Randin the transfer paperwork. "Sign here, here, and here, once the boy's outside he's yours."

The Mercenaries continued to accost 'Walton' searching him and the van slowly, rummaging through everything. "Check for Bravo and any explosives." He said aloud, tapping the metal plating of the van. Of course you couldn't be too careful, with Tech Con.

Five Mercenaries approached the cell with guns drawn, aimed at Parson and ready to fire as the door hissed open, Randin would be escorted to the cell as the Mercenaries shouted. "You, On your knees, hands behind your head, cross your ankles!"

Tech Con Mercenaries stepped into the bar with their Disruptor rifles primed and prepared for any possible engagement. Eying the interior and the patrons, the lead Mercenary directed his men in wide circles around the interior of the bar, all of them inspecting the interior carefully.

"Everything checks out." One of the men said, as he nudged one of the drunken patrons with his disruptor rifle.

The Bartender would keep his eye on Grimes for a moment. "I don't think anything is going to go south in here, the calvary is here." He said, pointing out the four Tech Con mercenaries that made their way into the bar, seemingly searching for something.

"Let's go Scatterbrain." He said, which was an Aschen slur for Scatterrans. "Identification, now before I splatter your shit all over the wall, you baby eating piece of daggit dung." He added, racking the charge on his disruptor.

The Mercenary nodded and checked the ID. "You Scatterbrains are gonna get a reckonin soon, I don't take kindly to your kind in my bar." This Aschen was obviously quite the racist, incapable of seeing past the Red Line, the ID cards were slid back.

"I know a snake when I see them.. give me a reason frakker." He said, signalling back to his fellow Mercenaries, whom seemed to crowd around. "Hey! Let's get back to the compound!"

One Mercenary had his gaze on Accius. "Hey! Check this Prawn mother frakker over here! We gonna card them too!?"

The Mercenaries continued to escort Randin and the boy through the confines of the base, doors opening up with an audible hiss, the paperwork signed and everything taken care of, as far as the mercenaries were concerned, whether or not Parson escaped did not bother them any more. "If you need a higher grade facility, I am sure that it can be arranged that Parson be interned here for the duration of a sentence. We pride ourselves on this facility being.. escape proof." The Mercenary said, a Tech Con salesman walking up to them, and nodding.

"Indeed, the state can pay us to house and feed the condemned, our facilities, as you can see.. are state of the art." He added, leading them through a set of blast doors, which opened up with another hiss.

At the gates, the men checked out. "Proceed, let's online the backup generator before you start your work." He said, getting on the radio to call up the Power Control crew.

Alarms began to blare, the lights not even flickering one bit, but Timo was successful in one thing. Setting the alarms off, and damaging several defense systems in the process, it wouldn't be long before tech crews and security would arrive in the area.

Timo's tampering was evidenced not by lights flickering, but several containment forcefields being deactivated with a loud crackle, and when they approached the door to the weapons checkin, they would find out it wasn't responding. The Lead Mercenary frowning. "That's not right..." He said, flicking the switch to learn that nothing was happening.

Indeed Timo had some more time to do damage, as damage to the wires had effectively locked him into the main bus room, Security was already alerted, but the door to the room wouldn't open, their voices heard outside. "It's not responding, the subject is inside, open the door and take them out!" One was heard barking, before the ignition of a plasma torch was heard.

The door was kicked open, and four Security officers poured in, quickly assessing the situation, while two more stepped in. Timo would unfortunately learn that the room was sealed. The only vents were small and near the ceiling of the room, if the slime could scale walls, then it would find an escape that way, at least until it reached the filtration system, which dipped the vent into a powerful disinfectant solution and an energized grid that caught dust and viruses, crossing through this would be difficult, if not downright painful for the Dhampir.

"Clear! The main bus is damaged, we have an overload, sir half the base is without power."

Such was the case, as the bright overhead lights flickered and then turned off, but there was a seamless transition, as bright battery powered halogen emergency lights kicked on, the boy would soon find two disruptors, with mounted LED Flashlights pointed at him.

"Who is working for you!?" The Mercenary shouted, weapon pointed at Parson while the lead Mercenary pointed his weapon at Randin.

"I want an explanation right rinky tink!" A mercenary ordered, and if Parson tried to break free from the grasp of the Mercenary, he would likely be shot right then and there.

The Mercenaries looked to eachother, then back to the boy, then to Randin. "We're stuck in here until power comes back on, so you probably should make yourselves comfortable, they could probably reroute through the secondary bus."

Indeed that was evident, as the lights flickered back on, and the doors to the lobby slid open with an audible hiss, everything was functioning once more. "Now get out before someone more daring levels the base." He said, motioning for Randin to escort Parson out, reclaim his weapons, and leave the base.

The Mercenaries continued to lead them towards the exit, reinforced blast doors slowly opening up to allow the daylight in. "We don't issue meals to people staying for short periods of time." He said as he kept walking. "It's against policy, should you have been here for more then three days, you would have been given a meal, but judging on your file, you wouldn't eat bread anyway, just the blood and flesh of humans, if it were my way, I'd have you gunned down in the back."

The Lead mercenary thought for a moment, then he nodded. "This base has an on site protein bank, where dead bodies, Terrans, etc. are processed, their organic systems broken down to the very basic enzymes and amino acids.. I am sure the Protein bank can spare some blood rations..." He then turned over to one of the Technicians, whom went back into a room, several moments later, he emerged with a large blood pouch, easily two liters of blood was in that pouch, all artificially grown, blood cells, nothing was harvested from a human.

"Here." He said, handing the boy the blood pack. "This way, no one gets hurt, all this is completely grown from scratch, right here, in this base."
