Techno-Engineer Glixenheimer Jibbnoticous

The three foot five, fifty three pound, white haired little man that is Techno-Engineering Assassin Glixenheimer Bolargian Jibbnoticous. Seems a bit eccentric, and usually has a number of devices on his person.

0 · 232 views · located in Mountain Path

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Nachytsm

Groups

A gathering that seeks out the seven feathers of Dhaelhel in order to banish the taint of Naar on Terra.

Description

He's short, light, has white hair that sticks out like wings from the side of his otherwise bald head, a slight beard and a long mustache, and that's all there it to his average appearance; but he is quite above average, in appearance if nothing else. Goggles almost always adorn his face with an oil-soaked headband, a pair of wrenches resting on his hips. The rest of his outfit is largely comprised of leather, with modifications made here or there.

Personality

Quite simply, Eccentric!

So begins...

He was frustrated, not the least because, even if he did decide to take Nel back by force, he might hurt her in the process. It was too risky. And this woman, she kept talking on and on about what Nel wanted. She needs this, she likes that. The woman was not Chicken or Nachytsm, and thus could not speak or understand Nel-speak. At least, that's what Nachytsm's broken logic told him.

"She's with me," he argues, contorting his body to show the crook in his armor where a few bits of down and feather were still stuck. "And food," he adds victoriously, opening a surprisingly well concealed pouch on his armor, with bits of meat and strange plant matter in it.

The woman was likely ignoring him, walking about and searching out a log. And then she began screaming.

Finally, something he understood. Intimidation tactics. Worn by his unrelenting logic, she had tried to scare him away, with her loud voice and big showy wings. Well, he'd show her.

Bellowing in rage, Nachytsm strides towards Dhaelhel, gesticulating with his remaining arm and, if nothing else, scaring the good graces out of something or other.

---

That something or other happened to be a small creature, roughly three and a half feet tall, shock white hair and a number of gadgets standing out as he suddenly leaps back from a nearby bush in terror at the screaming of the two people in the clearing.

He had been remarkably stealthy up until that point, having reached the very edge of their little assemblage completely un-noticed. He had made a brief cry of shock when he jumped, but reclaimed his senses quickly, rushing forward and waving his hands around wildly. He wasn't sure if they were screaming about having detected his presence or if it was something else, but he thought it may have been him.

"Please, please, it's just me! I meant nothing badly," he shouts, adding to the cacophony of noises.

Nel, for her part, was just as shocked by the shriek as anyone else, and began cawing loudly up at Dhaelhel, as if offended by the sudden change in demeanor.

Grubs. There were so many grubs on the rotting tree and Dhaelhel was not a creature that liked to touch creepy-crawly things. She shivered in disgust and petted at Nel to calm the chicken. The Old God of the Sky clucked at the chicken, quite realistically. Even if the chicken was a flightless bird, it was still an avian and Dhaelhel was part avian herself. She knew how to speak to chickens but was she going to tell Zabo what she said to Nel?

No.

His yelling was the reason that Nel was upset in the first place, along with Curtana who was screaming at Dhaelhel too. The fallen goddess leaned down, as she was much taller than Curtana standing at six-foot six, and planted a kiss on the girl's lips to make her rest at ease. Dhaelhel was, after all, Curtana's charge.

"I apologize Curtana," Dhaelhel said in a soft tone. The apology was genuine. "Who is that man?" the once-goddess asked Curtana before her gaze swept over to the startled man who was hiding in the bushes. She looked at Jarlas and then at Zabo, expecting at least one of the three to know who this new man was and why he was hiding.

Dhaelhel's feathers ruffled for a moment and settled back down while she walked over to this newcomer, petting Nel affectionately. Passing Zabo, she plucked the food from his fingers, and then stood right in front of the new man. His gadgets didn't seem to like Dhaelhel's closeness too much. Technology went a bit haywire around creatures such as the fallen goddess.

For Nel, Dhaelhel held the bag open for the chicken to eat from.

Curtana was, needless to say, stunned. Her eyes went wide, and her face went as red as her hair, all the way up to her feathered ears. Stumbling slightly, she caught herself on a tree and shook her head. The former god seemed to know exactly what buttons to press to throw Curtana off balance already! That annoyed her.

She shook her head and for the first time, acknowledged there was someone else in the weird group that was gathering in this short time. "I haven't the slightest." She answered honestly, still trying to shake off the fact that she had been -kissed-. Didn't matter that it was Dhaelhel or not, it was still something that had been a foreign concept to the short half-elf before today. It did, however, make her relax a little to see that Dhaelhel was indeed alright.

Still, angry as she was, she marched back past Jarlas. "That woman has nearly given me a heart attack twice in one day, nearly suffocated me once, and has given me the fright of my life.. Yes, I see what is to be the death of me some day.. And her name is Dhaelhel.." She whispered for Jarlas' ears alone. Somehow, she had felt that it was he who she could consult to about her thoughts.

Jarlas the man was still lying defiantly on the ground, while everything went on around him. Dhaelhel screaming, Nachytsm screaming, Dhaelhel stopping screaming, Dhaelhel kissing Curtana- oh, what he'd give for a blood flow in that moment- and then, the little man shows up, spouting on as he was wont to do.

And damned if he wasn't happy to see the little guy, for once. "Glix," Jarlas exclaims, actually deciding to sit up for the company. "Glix, you lil' shite! C'mere an' gimme one o' your toys, the fancy ones!" He was so excited, he might've even deigned to stand.

He pauses, however, when he realizes Curtana was speaking to him. To his dismay, she wasn't promising him kisses when he was alive. No, she was... just sort of telling him random facts about Dhaelhel, whose name he now had. That might prove useful.

"She won' be the death of you while I'm aroun'," he says, hoping that didn't sound nearly so ominous as it did in his head. Then again, most things sounded ominous and threatening when you were a zombie.

Nachytsm had spent his time thus far following Dhaelhel around, basically just shouting in one high, booming note, trying to intimidate her. It had become something of a contest for him, of which he was the only participant; Dhaelhel had stopped shrieking after the first burst, and Nel was subdued the moment Dhaelhel took his food pouch- Took Nachytsm's food pouch and started feeding his chicken.

Well, she had to sleep eventually, and when she did, he and Nel would be reuinited.

He hadn't paid much attention to the appearance of the short man, whom Jarlas was called Glix. He was pleased to see him as well, but the little man had always bothered him about the littlest things, like not killing something or eating raw meat.

For his part, 'Glix' had stopped rushing forward the moment the first of his gadgets began producing an ominous ticking sound. Gasping in alarm, he looks down at his belt, just in time for a tube-shaped object to start spouting sparks into the air. "N-no!" He cries out, lifting the thing and bothering with some dials on it. The sparks had landed on the ground, and stayed alight, small pin-pricks of something or other in the ground.

"Jarlas," he shouts at the man, "What did you do? My reinvigoratrimaton is malfunctioning! I-" he stops as something on his belt literally explodes, replacing what was the Gnome with a small structure.

Nel was quite content at the moment, aside from all the shenanigans. She jumped at the explosion, but aside from that, she was practically lounging in Curtana's arms, being fed like an Empress.

It was difficult for Dhaelhel to hear anything due to Zabo's insistent bellowing in her ear. The only information the fallen goddess could gather was from sight.

The new comer was a worshiper of The Master Builder which was very displeasing for Dhaelhel. She shied away from him as if afraid. It was, after all, due to the Ordo Mallei that the Old Powers of the Earth had started to die off.

Not saying a single word, Dhaelhel took to the air with a stroke of her powerful wings and perched in a tall tree. She watched the group below with her head cocked very much so like a bird's. Nel, of course, was cradled carefully in her arms.

Curtana looked to the sky. It would be dark soon, and there seemed to be no end to their senseless argument over a chicken. She sighed and began to look around for bed rolls that someone had mentioned earlier. She thought Dhaelhel had, but it was hard to think clearly with the growing headache that was pounding into her skull.

She was growing weary. She would lay out a bedroll for herself at least and curl up in it despite the fighting over Nel the chicken.

With a grumble, Jarlas sits himself up; Glix had gotten himself trapped probably, and he'd need to go find a way to fix that. Turning to Curtana, who was curling up on a bedroll, he whips out the metal rod and hands it to her. "Here," he says. "Just point it somewhere'n say 'Tent Five.' Better'n a roll, I'll tell ya that much."

With that, he wanders over to the structure that had appeared on Glix. Finding the door, he walks inside and peers around; just as he remembered it, the little structure was just barely big enough for him, if he slouched.

There were dozens of little gadgets everywhere; for all intensive purposes it looked like a machine shop had just appeared out of the nothingness. Lifting a panel of the floor, Jarlas heads downstairs to find Glixenheimer, wherever he ended up.

Nachytsm stops shouting when Dhaelhel flies away. With a gasp of terror, he rushes forward and practically slams into the tree, climbing up it to try and reach Nel. He didn't care much about Glixenheimer exploding behind him; his entire mission right now was to wait for his Master and retrieve his friend.

Nel had gone still and silent when brought into the sky. Flight was something she had only experienced a few times, and it always brought a moment of pause to the chicken. Once Dhaelhel had perched them in the tree, she makes a few quiet noises of contemplation.

Glixenheimer wasn't entirely sure where he was or how he'd gotten there; it was dark, and smelled of gunpowder, which told him very bad things. If he was in the cellar of his workshop, as he feared, then he'd need to be very careful.

He still didn't know what happened to his devices. Thankfully they had stopped reacting so poorly, but they may again. Carefully, he removes his belt and selects a pair of goggles from them, placing them over his eyes; they reacted to the low light levels and increased the values, allowing him to see, if only marginally.

Yes, indeed, he was in the cellar, with all of his explosive components.

The tree Dhaelhel and Nel were perched in shook violently as Nachytsm crashed into it before he attempted to scramble up the branches. She had given a squawk of irritation before Dhaelhel descended back down onto the earth. The woman looked at Zabo and clucked her tongue disapprovingly.

"Nel says that you need to set up a tent for us to sleep in," Dhaelhel "translated" from the chicken. "She will allow you to hold her if this is done very soon, and then if you are nice you may be allowed to hold me as well."

"Just don't invite the Hammerite, wherever it happened to go," the fallen goddess said, mentioning Glix in such a roundabout way no one would know who she meant. Her eyes darted around to see where it had gone to but she didn't find it. Just a building that seemed to pop out of nowhere. She rather a random building than the Hammerite.

Curtana shrugged. "Bedroll is fine by me.. Slept on one out here for months, and I'm not gonna set up camp for the rest of them if they are gonna argue all night long." She murmured softly, placing her hands behind her head. "Its best we get the shut eye that we can get before we begin whatever it is we're suppose to do because there is no telling when we can next get a decent night's sleep.." She sighed, looking at the darkening sky.

Nachytsm had little he could say to that. He didn't know how to work Jarlas' rod thing, and he knew Nel liked open sky better anyway. Or... or did she? Maybe she only said that because Nachytsm preferred it.

Now he was confused, angry, and half-way up a tree. Falling less-than gracefully onto the ground with a thud, he stands upright and walks towards Dhaelhel. He could think of only one thing that might get him Nel back, as much as it pained him to do so. Rage did not work, begging did not work. Yes, only one thing; fighting fire with fire.

Assuming she didn't flee from him, Nachytsm approaches Dhaelhel, grabs her head, and stoops enough to flatten his face against her, snogging the hell out of her as best he was able to do, which frankly wasn't very much. If this did not earn him Nel back, he didn't know what would.

Dhaelhel's feathers puffed out in surprise and then ruffled as the fallen goddess shivered. She had not expected Zabo to do such a thing! It was exciting and wonderful. Dhaelhel's knees wanted to give out from beneath her body but she remained standing. The woman settled for almost melting against Zabo's enormous body. It was not the best of kisses but it would do!

Zabo was never very good at it anyway. His talents laid elsewhere and it was definitely not in the passion department of life.

Dhaelhel opened an eye and saw Curtana. The winged-woman jerked back from Zabo and slapped him across the face while Nel was still held in the other.

"Inappropriate!" she yelled before Dhaelhel turned on heel to walk away from Zabo. Though once turned away from him there was a look of utter infatuation on the woman's face. Her foot steps were light and her mind definitely was nowhere on the earth. Dhaelhel was trapped in a lover's la-la land, daydreaming of Zabo's kiss.

Nachytsm had maintained the 'kiss' as long as he could. By his logic, the longer he held her there, the more willing she would be to give him Nel back. It wasn't that he wouldn't enjoy this sort of thing, but his mind was on Nel, and getting her back.

When she jumps back and slaps him, he gives her a dull look of consternation. It hadn't worked. Or maybe he just had to say 'please' again. That tended to work, sometimes, saying 'please.' It hadn't last time, but perhaps it was a fluke.

In the few seconds that passed while all this was crossing the large man's mind, Curtana had sat up and was shouting at them. It startled Nachytsm, for he had almost forgotten about her completely in his desire to retrieve his friend. In particular, he was pleased that she was shouting at Dhaelhel.

"Yeah," he says, both defiantly to Dhaelhel and as a confirmation to Curtana. He shows her his palm that he might receive Nel. He liked this grumpy Elf woman, even if she was saying he had to share his friend, and tried threatening him. Such threats sort of flew over his head, these days.

Dhaelhel did not want to give up her newest friend Nel but Curtana had said to do it. Curtana was the boss and the fallen goddess had no choice but to listen to her. Dhaelhel's wings drooped and then she plopped Nel into Zabo's offered hand. She stared daggers at Zabo and then turned back to Curtana.

Dhaelhel laid down on the ground with the petite elf, dwarfing poor Curtana, and curled up next to her. The fallen goddess had effectively been chastised.

She draped a wing over the elf to keep her warm in the cooling evening and soon fell asleep.

Curtana nodded firmly as she watched as the chicken was given back to Nachytsm. "Good. Good night!" She said grumpily before flopping back down on the bedroll. It was only a moment longer that the she noticed Dhaelhel laid down beside her. Curtana blinked, and a blush crossed her face, however she decided not to argue about it tonight. She sighed and snuggled closely to the edge of her bedroll and slowly fell asleep.

Nachytsm was practically ecstatic upon receiving Nel; he almost smiled. Instead however, he nuzzles her to his face, cooing as softly as the beast of a man could.

Nel, for her part, returns the affection; she had been happy enough with Dhaelhel, but Nachytsm was better known.

Successfully reunited, Nachytsm turns to look around. 'Camp' hadn't been set up, except for Glix's workshop. Jarlas was gone, his rod set on the ground next to Curtana and Dhaelhel, who were curled up together.

His master had not returned, and so Nachytsm had no choice but to wait. Allowing Nel to settle into the crook of his armor, he climbs up on top of the overlook above the cave, and stands watch. If one were to approach the camp, assuming Nachytsm didn't lunge at them immediately, he would appear to be a statue that happened to have a small chicken nesting in it.

Morning had come, bringing with it the shadowy silhouettes of Al'Kaera and Maree, the former carrying the latter in his arms as they walk silently into the camp site.

A sigh of spare relief passes the man's lips as he sees what is there; Three small structures, firstly. One was of stone, and had what appeared to be a gigantic magnification scope atop it. Another was of wood, seemingly crafted out of the base of a mighty tree. The last was also stone, in the shape of a tiny fortress.

Off to the side, he could see the shrouded figures of two women; one, sheltered by the other, a small Elf woman, Curtana. The other, winged Dhaelhel.

In the middle of the three structures, a small camp fire had been built, which was cooking several items; potatoes, meats, a few vegetables, all in one interestingly designed skillet which had special compartments for each.

It was the image of a peaceful, quaint little village, practically, barely wakened yet.

Dhaelhel's wings had hidden Curtana and the fallen god the entire evening, and had kept them both warm from the insulation feathers provided. Dhaelhel had ended up wrapping her arms around the half-elf, who seemed to sleep like a rock. Either that or Curtana did not mind being cuddled by Dhaelhel.

It created a dangerous thought inside of the god. A change came over Dhaelhel in the night.

Sensing the return of Lumariale more so than Al'Kaera, Dhaelhel began to stir. It was a shame to the god to wake up Curtana but each of them had business to attend. There were more important matters to deal with than sleep, even though this possibly was the last time any of them would get proper sleep.

Spooning Curtana as Dhaelhel had been when they laid to rest, the god shifted the hair away from the back of the half-elf's neck. Gentle kisses were pressed against her neck and behind her ear with great tenderness and something akin to love. A need, want, stirred in Dhaelhel. The god's hands wandered in chaste exploration on Curtana, slipping beneath her shirt to feel the texture of the skin on her stomach.

The need in Dhaelhel grew greater and the god coaxed the still sleeping Curtana's face toward his own.

And he kissed her with a slow, deliberate, passion.

Curtana groaned quietly as she felt Dhaelhel begin to stir. She slept like a rock, but when the sun began to rise, so did she. "Five more minutes.." She murmured quietly, almost as if she were speaking to a mother trying to take their child to school. She was still mostly asleep.

But the touch and kisses were like something out of a dream. She was still asleep, it seemed to her. And she smiled. It was one of her favorite dreams. "Mmm.. Stop that, two more minutes, okay..?" She whispered, giggling as it tickled her skin when she felt her stomach. She turned as Dhaelhel coaxed her to turn towards her and she kissed him softly.

But then she stiffened. She had never seen this man in her dreams before. Her eyes grew wide, her heart stopped pounding. And gods, was he amazing.

A trickle of blood flowed from her left nostril and a blush darker than her hair burned her face. "Uhm..!" She whispered, breaking away. "H-hi.." She said softly, unsure. She gently brushed his cheek and his hair. She loved this man. She had deemed it so.

Jarlas happened to be walking out of Glix's shop at the exact moment that Curtana and the new-and-improved(?) Dhaelhel began making sweetness at eachother. Oh, hell no. "An' who's this winged bastard up an' comin' after our women," Jarlas shouts, walking towards the pair on the ground. He didn't even notice Al'Kaera and Maree standing on the edge of the clearing. Sexy (if dead) bastards like himself didn't just let other sexy bastards get all up in their business.

Not that Curtana was his business (Yet), but random dudes in the camp, even if they were strikingly familiar for some unplaceable and distinctly uncomfortable reason, was not acceptable. If he had blood flowing, it'd be boiling, basically.

Glixenheimer had followed Jarlas out of the shop; while Glixenheimer had slept, Jarlas took the kindness upon himself to magically ward all of his various tools against the malfunctions that had occurred the prior evening. Now, Glixenheimer was in the process of cooking a massive breakfast for the assembled party.

Walking towards the cooking pit, he flips some of the meats and one of his mechanizationated arms, equipped with a special condimentator, peeks over his back to carefully add spices to the meats, just as it was programmed. While it does the work, Glixenheimer looks over at Jarlas and the man and woman.

Due to the events of the last evening, Glixenheimer hadn't been introduced to the rest of the party. He knew, from the small fortress, the Dwarf had arrived- which was most good, most good indeed. Finally someone of civility! Aside from Master Al'Kaera, of course.

For the time being, he continues making an ancient, and delicious, Gnomish breakfast.

----

Nachytsm had been standing watch the entire night, practically immobile. He'd jumped down to engage the Dwarf, but when seeing who it was, simply alerted him to the goings on in his simple ways and went back to watching.

Now that it was morning, he was still standing there, watchful. Nel was sleeping in his armor, making soft sleeping noises. Glixenheimer had been coming and going through the morning, cooking something that smelled of cooked meat. The Dwarf was still asleep, having set up his structure with Jarlas' discarded rod. Nachytsm didn't know how to work it, so he was happy to see he set up his Master's for him, as well.

And then he arrived; Al'Kaera, with the woman he had heard about. They had been 'love making' according to the now-man Dhaelhel. He didn't question that new fact, really. He didn't care when it came down to it. As a man, Dhaelhel had no power over him, and so he could kill him if he needed to. At least, much more easily and with no guilty conscience.

But Al'Kaera was there, as was his wife, and she was probably sore which explained why he was carrying her like that. Rushing down the slope of the hill, Nachytsm descends on them. "Al'Kaera," he rumbles out in greeting. He, too, looked weary, though Nachytsm knew why. It may have been part of the love-making, but battle took its toll on him first.

"Need to carry," he asks, gesturing to Maree, then waving towards the wooden hut that had been built.

----

Around that time, the latest addition to the Camp had awoken and exited the small fortress-looking structure. Molko Firestorm, armor-clad Dwarf, looks around the camp with his bright blue eyes. Only a touch shorter than Jarlas and a good bit taller than Glixenheimer, he wore a serious expression on his face, only in part due to smelling the good food his short companion was making.

Seeing Al'Kaera, he strides over to meet him as well, stopping and saluting a good four feet away. "Good t'see yeh back, M'lor'."

Seeing the sudden burst of activity, Al'Kaera sighs inwardly. The peace would not have lasted regardless, but seeing them all there was a comfort. Not that this was his entire retinue; some it would take longer to reach them, and some he had ordered to other tasks. He may get one or two more followers before they left camp, but it was not anything like assured.

Still holding Maree in his arms, he nods to Nachytsm in front of him. His most loyal bodyguard, he gives him a smile. "I am fine, thank you however," he replies. Only through their life-long companionship had he learned to understand Nachytsm almost perfectly, despite his often broken or disjointed speech.

"At ease, Molko," he states to the Dwarf, giving him a respectful bow of his head. "Glad to see you."

Jarlas being there was surprising- as was the winged man. Given Dhaelhel was a Goddess, or... God, now, formerly at least, it wasn't too shocking to him. There were some start similarities- facial structure had some base comparisons, and of course the skin tone was more or less the same... and, naturally, there were the wings.

But Jarlas hadn't been with him when he arrived in this world. Seeing him here brought him hope for other survivors that may have been transplanted in other areas, and yet still heard his call.

Walking forward, with Nachytsm likely in tow, he brings Maree to the small structure that was his personal Command 'tent' as they called it. "We will make preparations to leave soon," he says, for the benefit of all within hearing range. "We wait two hours at the longest, no more."

Then, softer to Maree, he asks; "Are you hungry, Am'Mathanuon?" He was a Husband, after all, and her needs came before all else, now they were reunited.

Dhaelhel protectively placed a kiss on the girl's forehead before he lifted himself up from the bedroll. He turned on heel and pointed an accusing finger at Jarlas. The fallen god walked straight up to Jarlas until that finger was pointed directly at the undead man's chest.

"You undead fiend! You will stay away from my Curtana. If anyone is to have her innocence it is me! I am her charge and you have no right!" Dhaelhel bellowed at the zombie. The god's wings flared to make himself look larger, and it was a very good intimidation tactic.

Without even hearing what Jarlas had to say on that account, the large god pushed his way through the people surrounding Al'Kaera. He approached Maree who seemed to be shaking her head.

"No. I am fine and well," Maree answered Aderas.

"Lumariale," Dhaelhel said, standing before her.

"Your voice has changed Dhaelhel, I take it? You have chosen to become male, it seems. None others call me by my ancient name any longer," Maree said with a hint of a smile on her face. The smile faded quickly and an expression of uncertainty replaced it. Dhaelhel had reached out and placed his hand on the elf's lower belly.

"You are not with child," the fallen god said in an inquisitive tone. It made Maree blush which was a very rare occurrence.

"Now is not the time for children," she said to Dhaelhel.

"It is always the time for innocence." And with that the fallen god walked back to his Keeper.

Curtana blinked as the man got off from on top of her to confront Jarlas. His manner of speaking seemed familiar, but she wasn't paying attention that. She only sighed and watched him as he walked away. She hated to have him leave from on top of her, but it was just as amazing watching his backside as it was to look at him from the front. She sighed like a fan girl and even fluttered her eyelashes like one.

She was only half listening to what the others were saying and it took a full minute to realize what Maree had said. "Wait.." She blinked again, her face blushing in anger and embarrassment at the realization. Standing, she then pointed accusingly to Dhaelhel. "You're Dhaelhel!!!?!" She shouted.

And with that, her heart sank. She wanted to weep for the lost love she never had, for the brief daydreaming that would never come true. She fell to her knees and hung her head in sorrowful shame. "Woe is me.." She muttered, pitifully.
