The door of the bar swung inwards, and into the bar walked a young man, somehow conveying the same air of confidence in his casual saunter as he would have done were he strutting. He ran a hand through his red-blonde hair, near-permanent sunny smile beaming from his face.

At his side, with equal amounts of style radiating from it, skipped a Cinccino, the little chinchilla pokemon's wide eyes peering around with apparent interest.

Teo's eyes caught on a figure in the bar, that of Kyouhei, and his eyebrows rose. Approaching the young trainer, he stopped to greet him. "Hey, don't I know you from somewhere?"

Teo blinked in surprise, "Whoa there, calm down!" he exclaimed, laughing lightly. "My name's Teo. I'm from Ruula," he said, "Loong way from here, as it happens. Specifically? I hang around Castelia City a lot."

The ex-model leaned back, grinning, "It's a long journey, but there are effective means of transport. How about you? If I've seen you before, you must be from around there, right? Or maybe it's just the outfit."

Disregarding any sort of personal-space rules polite company normally upheld, Teo plucked at Kyouhei's jacket, "Mhm, typical hardcore trainer, am I right? You even have a cap! That's adorable. But what are your shorts doing? Oh my god I sound so gay right now, but hell, somebody's gotta do it."

The redhead laughed for a second time, the pokemon at his side mimicking the laughter. Teo bent down to pick the Cinccino up, "And to answer your last question, yes. This is Cinnamon, we're bros. Am I right, Cinnamon?"

The Cinccino squeaked its name in approval.

"Teo," Teo corrected with a grin, "Oh, don't go bowing now, you'll make me blush with the formality of it." He chuckled, "It's lovely to meet you Saya, you're a wonderful specimen of a Snivy if I ever saw one. You must be looked after well."

Grinning, Teo set Cinnamon down, the cinccino taking a moment to adjust the silky scarf he wore before wandering back around to his trainer's side. "Now how on earth did you end up here? Visiting Ridgecrest, maybe? That's not far from here, but you've taken a wrong turn, that's for sure. Wing City's no place for a new trainer."

Teo smiled, "There's all kinds of things even an experienced trainer would have a hard time dealing with, not to mention the funny looks the locals give us." he explained, "But I suppose it's not too bad if you keep your head about you. I remember when I first set off, when Cinnamon was still a Minccino and I was still all about the famous league challenge."

Teo reached into his satchel - no, it was not a purse, thank you very much! - for a moment, pulling out a little case. He popped it open to display five shiny-looking badges. "See? I was doing quite well, before I got distracted. I blame Elesa, she talked me into the whole magazine thing, but Cinnamon took to it like a Swanna to water."

Teo laughed, "I'm better at looking pretty than I am at battling, if my career path says anything, but I like to think I still have it in me if I ever decided to go back down that route." The older trained flashed a brilliant smile, "I was a model until recently - living the stereotype, I know, but it was fun. Small-time, but I preferred it that way. None of the Tauros-" Teo stopped himself, remembering Kyouhei's apparent age, "-droppings that I heard about from the big time. Cinnamon enjoyed it too."

The cinccino smiled happily, striking a pose. Teo laughed, "Keep bein' fabulous, little man."

Looking back to Kyouhei, he shrugged, "As for how you got here? The only pokemon I can think of that could've dumped you here are legendaries, so maybe consider yourself lucky to have seen one!"

Teo shrugged his shoulders, "I wish I could help you, kid," he said, crouching down slightly to be level with the younger trainer. "I don't know where you're from, exactly, but Ruula's somewhere you could go if you're a trainer and want to be around pokemon. 'far as I know it's the only place you can find 'em in the known universe. You'd have to arrange space travel for it, which could be a hitch for you since you're so young."

Teo ruffled Kyouhei's hair with a comforting smile, "I can help you out where I can, you seem like a good kid, wouldn't want you to get hurt alone in this city."

Cinnamon, in the meantime, had turned to fuss about Saya, adjusting her posture here and her stance there, helping her to pose in just the right way to be as charming and stand-out as possible. Stepping back with a satisfied nod, the cinccino clapped his hands together happily.

Teo raised an eyebrow at the Bisharp, "And as if just to prove me wrong, one wanders in," he murmured, chuckling at the irony of his previous statement about there being no pokemon here.

Teo blinked, "That it did," he remarked, "I mean, I've heard of stranger things, but it's still always a surprise when it happens to you, huh?"

The trainer smiled, "It seems like it doesn't much want company, if I'm any good at reading pokemon, best not bother it." he said. Cinnamon squeaked, hopping up onto the table next to him. Teo gave the cinccino a sidelong grin, "I know you reckon you could take him, Cinnamon, but we're not here to cause trouble, are we?"

Cinnamon squeaked furiously at the bisharp, translating roughly to 'Who're you calling 'she', pinhead?!'

Teo laughed, scratching Cinnamon behind the ears to calm him down, "I think Cinnamon takes offence to the 'she' comment," he remarked. "Why're you hanging around a city anyway? Don't Bisharps generally live in packs?"

Cinnamon squeaked an agreement with Saya, still pouting about the gender confusion. The little Cinccino strutted across the table as it spoke. 'When life gives you lemons, take life by the nuts and say 'fuck you, and fuck your lemons!', then stamp on the lemons and carry on being awesome.'

Cinnamon paused, sweeping his silk scarf over his shoulder before adding, 'Don't brood, it's ugly.'

Teo exchanged a glance with Kyouhei, looking equally as confused. He shrugged, "I guess they're better at this than us," he suggested with a snicker.

Cinnamon smiled cheerfully, clapping his hand with Saya's. The cinccino nodded his head, satisfied.

Teo laughed, "You can never spoil 'em too much, in my opinion," he said, "After all, I spoiled Cinnamon here rotten and he turned out alright, even if he is a little cocky."

Cinnamon stuck his tongue out at Teo. Cocky? He wasn't cocky. Not at all...

Teo raised an eyebrow, "I suppose, why not? I'll try and go easy on you," the older trainer winked with a laugh, "Hear that Cinnamon? No going beast-mode."

He nodded, "Cinnamon's a tough cookie, we've fought a lot of battles together. But there's no harm in a friendly battle to help you out, I guess."

"Sure thing, kiddo," Teo replied with a laugh, "You'll make a model yet with a diva pose like that." he teased. "Outside it is. C'mon Cinnamon."

The cinccino hopped down from the table and strutted along behind Teo as he made for the exit.

Cinnamon hopped into position, a wide smile on the little pokemon's face. Teo nodded his head, grinning, "Ready when you are, Kyou. Get ready to be bedazzled." he said, laughing.

Cinnamon puffed up his chest, ready to battle.

Teo folded his arms, "Suit yourself," he said, "Alright, let's get the cameras rolling. Cinnamon, open up with a swift attack!"

Darting forwards, Cinnamon cried his name gleefully as he leaped into a spin, sparkling stars forming around his twirling form in an elegant display of showboating and launching themselves towards Saya in a rush. The special nature of the move made it almost impossible to avoid - the stars were like heat-seeking missiles, homing in on their target to deliver the opening blow.

Cinnamon meanwhile landed neatly, winking like a true model as the glittery remnants of the move hovered around him.

Teo almost rolled his eyes, suppressing a snicker.

"Counter with Tail Slap, Cinnamon!" Teo called out. Cinnamon ducked into a crouch, before leaping again, spinning around to try and bring his now-glowing tail into contact with Saya to turn the force of her tackle against her. If he hit, he would follow it up with two more rapid slaps before she would be knocked away to leave him landing safely a short distance away.

"Hey," Teo called, "You can call it whenever you want, I don't want Saya to take any more of a beating than you do!"

Cinnamon stood questioningly, returning Saya's smile with a grin of his own.

Teo smiled, "Hey, props to you for having the guts to challenge the guy with five badges." he said, ruffling Kyouhei's hair for a second time.

Cinnamon hopped onto Teo's shoulder, squeaking to her. 'You took more hits than Clay's Excadrill!' he told her, laughing. 'For all the razor blades on that thing it was a weak-ass pushover! One wake-up slap to the face and bam!'

Teo raised an eyebrow at the blushing teen, but made no comment on it. "Too right. Try, try, try again, that's how you get better at anything." he said with a smile, before pausing. "Except maybe skydiving..."

Cinnamon tossed his head in fake-snooty melodrama, 'Girl, this ass don't go down for nobody.' he retorted, unable to suppress a snicker afterwards.

Teo shook his head, "I couldn't say," he said, "The price'll be different for you since you're still a kid."

The ex-model smiled, crouching down again to be level with Kyouhei. "It was good meeting you, Kyouhei - I reckon you're gonna be big stuff one day. Here, take my number in case you need any more help." Teo reached into his bag, rummaging around for a moment before pulling out a little card with a photo of him on it and his number. It read 'Teo Ashbrook, Pokemon Modeller'. He laughed as he glanced at it, "These used to be my business cards, can you believe?"

Teo slotted the card into Kyouhei's pocket - and at the same time sneaked a bundle of notes in to get him started. "Good luck out there."

Teo laughed, waving his hand with a nod, "You're on, kiddo, I expect a lot from you! Don't let me down now!"

And with that, he and Cinnamon were off and away, heading for Ridgecrest.

On the road into the amusement park nearby, a young man was strolling along, whistling peacefully to a tune. By his side, a Cinccino strutted cheerfully, squeaking along its own contribution to the melody, occasionally scampering between his legs.

Teo smiled in the warm air, but was interrupted from his reverie by the sound of a squealing teenage girl. "Oh my god! Are you the guy from those ads with Elesa! Ohhh my gosh I adore your little Cinccino! She's so cute!"

Teo blinked in surprise, sighing. "Hi, yeah, that's me!" he said, maintaining a cheerful smile despite wanting to roll his eyes. That was always the problem with coming back to Nimbasa - people recognised him from the posters...

The Cinccino squeaked defiantly, flailing its arms. Teo smirked, "I'm sure Cinnamon appreciates the compliment, but he's a he."

The girl put a hand over her mouth, "Oh gosh, I'm sorry! Can I have a photo with you? I bought my boyfriend one of those bags you were selling, and..."

As she went on, Teo tuned out, letting the nonsense wash over him. He posed for the photo, flashing his 'model-smile', and finally managed to send the girl on her way - but not until after an autograph and a photo with Cinnamon. Good grief.

"Well," he said to Cinnamon as the girl skipped away happily, "I don't really know what we expected, huh?"

Cinnamon pouted, turning his nose up in disdain.

She thought briefly seeing so many people, then smiling sheepishly said, "How about log flume, then we can relax a little on the Ferris Wheel." she seemed so out of place here, her nerdy introverted ways sticking out like a sore-thumb, "I will pay, or would you rather, I don't want to seem like I am showing off, just well I have money on hand." here she was tripping over her words, as per usual.

Ilene smiled in a sort of sheepishly awkward way glancing to see a somewhat familiar star nearby. Huh. He was cute. She marveled for a brief moment before realizing that if Elsie somehow caught onto what she was doing it probably wouldn't go over all that well. Letting go of Elsie's hand, she decided to do a little experiment. Point out a cute guy and see what Elsie thought. Hopefully this wouldn't blow up in her face like some of her other 'expirements'.

"Hey... I think I see one of those male models over there~" she said in a slightly suggestive tone, pointing in Teo's general direction. She waited a moment before continuing. "That sounds nice, though. Well--..." she started, before cutting herself off. She let go of Elsie's hand. "Normally the /boy/ pays, but..." she finished, honestly not sure how to handle this situation herself. She subconsciously began trying to think of whether she had a coin to flip on her person.

Peering up she would reply, "I suppose... though I don't think they would give me time of day..." sighing she would appear deep in thought before saying, "I don't know... I can pay... but I don't want to insult you, you are obviously rich since you created something so big... besides I am wondering now if you only accepted out of sympathy..." there was clear sign Elsie was getting depressed, she hated being in crowds and this was making things so hard she was close to having panic attack or just bursting into tears.

Crouching down, Teo scratched Cinnamon behind the ear, "C'mon, chin up fella. You're popular, it isn't so bad. Besides, once we kick some more gym ass, people will remember you for being the little badass you are, rather than just a pretty face."

Cinnamon nodded his head in satisfaction, flipping his scarf over his shoulder pointedly before hopping onto Teo's shoulder.

"You've gotta admit, you are pretty fabulous," Teo pointed out, only to receive a yank to his hair. "Oi! Watch the hair!" he said, laughing as he returned to standing.
