Most Banshees of the TLA Would fall under attack the moment they began to try to touch down to land. Stealth Technology or no, they caused a disturbance in the air that Nymeth the Shadowling would be able to detect, and send Shadows and Tendrils towards in order to attempt to kill as many TLA soldiers as possible as well as even drag the Banshee transports down into the Shadowy Abyss of their own Shadows to be converted into even more Shadows for the Legion. Cover would be of little help to any soldiers, as Tendrils and monstrosities of Shadow erupted from the darkness around them, screeching and screaming terrifying screams of agony and fury. Screams that rumbled the marrow of the bones of lesser mortals and filled the nightmares of both adults and children alike.
The Screams of their beloved Comrades and Family Members.

As the Guardsman exited their vehicles, they would be met with a hail of gun-fire from the buildings and from within their own vehicles. Shadow Commandos with rapid-firing Sub-Machine guns firing .500 Magnum rounds at a rate of 400 rounds per minute. The Commandos, twice as large as a regular human, were entirely silent, their movements, their breathing, even their footsteps as they moved from place to place, were completely silent. The only thing able to be heard were the sounds of their Sub-Machine Guns firing off their rounds in short-controlled bursts from always at least three directions at once. Then they would move to a new position and fire from that one as well, keeping up a never-ending, yet also seemingly random hail of fire from almost all directions towards the Imperial Guardsman. Those who perished would of course immediately begin to sink into their own shadows, and become one with the Legion themselves.
Draco himself was not involved directly yet, but he was watching over the battle. As the Grey Knights and the Screaming Minotaurs battled it out near the city center, the regular Shadows and Hounds swarmed the streets and buildings looking for anything they could kill and bring into their folds. Where that be Civilians, TLA soldiers, Guardsman or their counterparts, Pokemon, or even the common Sewer Rat. Nothing was left untouched.
Draco's presence would not be felt, nor would his influence be direct for now. The Dragon knew that if he were to make his presence known that the Emperor would show himself; and they would be drawn into a city-destroying battle that would ultimately do more harm than good for both sides. While Draco did not care of the casualties either side suffered as a result of the battle, he did seek to use Ridgecrest City as a staging-ground for his eventual Conquest of the entire Collenham Mountain Range, and eventually, Terra; destroying the city would be only a set-back.
His commandos however were effecient with their work; and as they never stayed in place for very long; it would be extremely difficult to find them, let alone engage and harm, let alone kill one. And due to their silent nature, they had their own, disturbing sense of intimidation because of the stark contrast to the rest of the Legion in its entirety. If ever cornered or pushed into a close-quarters fight, the Commandos would draw twin
Duradaeden swords, swords that when wielded as expertly as they were by the Commandos, could cut through just about anything the Imperium, or anyone for that matter, had at their disposal.
They would prove extremely resilient, capable of losing most of their bodies before either vanishing or quickly regenerating before resuming to fight. Their psychic defenses were also quite high, as their own minds were both shielded by the Darkness present in Draco's essence, and the fact that they knew only one thing: Kill.
Commandos were, before being turned into what they became in the Legion, extraordinary soldiers or fighters; ones that many spoke of in legends or in bar-stories to this very day. The Legendary heroes whose tales of heroism and sacrifice end in suddenly disappearing, or meeting their fate at the hands of another warrior, better than them in almost every way. A stranger that comes from no where, dispatches them, and takes away the body with his Dark Magic. Commandos were "Recruited" by Draco.
Personally.
