Name: Tessa Cartner
Height: 5'7
Weight: 128 lb.
Species: Human

Tessa appears to be in her late teens and has a pale complexion, red hair and hazel eyes. Her wardrobe is highly variable, though her eccentric personality and flare for vibrant colors leaves her often clothed in brightly colored outfits.

Tessa serves as a magical amplifier. Spells she casts or that are cast in her vicinity are amplified beyond their normal limitations which frequently create uncontrolled and chaotic situations. Tessa favors black magic and demonology, but she is a well educated and versatile graduate of Academia Celestia and is experienced in many schools of magic; though, she lacks the same level of efficiency outside of her area of expertise.

Tessa is well versed in the summon of extraplanar creatures but these are the ones she most frequently falls back on.

  • Razbit: Tessa isn't really sure what it is, but it's cute even if it doesn't seem to do anything useful
  • Tokarattihael: Toka doesn't have much in the way of abilities beyond a knack for skulking about and causing mischief.
  • Sesataapraz: The most powerful of Tessa's summons, Sesa wields a combination of elemental fire and demonic hellfire. For the sake of elemental resistances, hellfire is not fire, but rather a demonic dark energy.

So begins...

Just ouside the bar was a brief explosion and a yelp of surprise as a young girl stumbled through the doorway trying to pat out the flames on the hems of her clothing. With the flames out she stood up looking a touch indignant and hoped no one saw her blunder. Straightening her clothes out she beamed happily at the sight of Katarina.

Ignoring the scent of ash and smoke clinging to her singed clothing she waved and yelled cheerfully and a touch too loudly across the bar, "Hey look! I found the place!".

Tessa Cartner yelps loudly as she noted the flames still flickering along her skirt and starts trying to pat them out only to be blasted with a fire extinguisher...

Well bother this was hardly the entrance she wanted to make! However her mood wasn't daunted for long as she bounded over, foamy and all. "So why are we here?" she asked, completely oblivious to the fact that she had been left stranded in the US for the better part of a week alone.

She offered a hand out to Dom, "Hi! I'm Tessa!" she exclaimed.

Tessa Cartner took Katarina's words in stride, as oblivious as ever to any actual neglect from Katarina. "Oh.. that one." she said, though her sudden mood change lasted but a moment as she beamed again, "I've been working on that frost spell by the way.. want to see?" she asked excitedly.

Without waiting for an answer she held her hands out only for there to be a frosty explosion of mist around her that added an icy touch to the foam already covering her and both hands were now quite thoroughly encased in a thin layer of ice and icicles.

"Well bother.." she said. Surely if anyone should never be near magic it was Tessa, but couldn't accuse the girl of lack of trying. In fact her hands were heating up as she was about to try and counter the first spell with fire...

Tessa Cartner halted whatever spell she was about to cast with a slight sheepish look at Katarina. "It worked last time!" she added, not to be discouraged by her utter blunder. Her hands were unfortunately still quite thoroughly encased in ice as she offered them out to Katarina.

Tessa Cartner reached up and scratched at her head sheepishly, "Well uh..." she mumbled trying to think up an answer as she sat down. Instead she changed the topic entirely. "So are we going to go see your German friend again?" she asked.

A strange frosty fog like substance was pouring in through the doorway suddenly as a young woman of about 16 staggered through it waving her hand trying to clear the air to see. Darn it all! Why did that spell never work! Her clothes were covered in a thin layer of frost as she tried to brush them clean.

She spotted the bartender Dom from the other day and gave him a cheerful wave, completely oblivious to the harshness he had treated her with over her fiery entrance last time. That was Tessa for you, perpetually cheerful and utterly clueless.

Tessa Cartner winced a bit at Dom's words. "Oh sorry about that, give me just a minute and I can clear this out for you!" she beamed happily as she turned and raised her arms up, wind gusting around her as she prepared to attempt to blow the fog back outside. As the spell concluded the result was several overturned tables and scattering the fog all over the room.

"Well bother.. I was sure that would work.." she said. "I'm so sorry!" she added as she hastily tried to right the knocked over tables.

Tessa Cartner stood up from a table she was working on getting back upright and smiled happily at Jack's offer. "Oh you don't have to!" she said a touch too loudly as she offered her hand out to him. "I'm Tessa!" she added.

"And sorry about the mess. I was so sure that spell would work this time." she said as she stooped to try and lift the table up. She briefly thought about a spell to lift the table but a quick glance towards Dom halted that thought before it made it to completion.

Tessa Cartner though small and the tables quite cumbersome, did her best to hold up her end of the work. Lack of motivation and effort were clearly not something she was lacking in. "Nice to meet you Jack." she said as they got the table back on it's feet.

"And oh... that must be why my I froze my hands the other day. And lit myself on fire." she said with a nod as if that explained everything.

"Do you come here a lot? I only just got here the other day and I haven't met anyone yet. Just Dom. He's nice isn't he? He put me out when I was on fire!" she said cheerfully.

Tessa Cartner despite Jack's efforts had glimpsed the poster while he was bent over and as they moved away she glanced back again.. "Hey, isn't that you?" she asked as she started to walk towards the wall to look at at the poster.

Tessa Cartner glanced over the poster curiously wondering what the man in the picture was wanted for, but Dom's words distracted her before long and she headed over to the other table to help him lift it, well as much as she could. "I imagine that gets you into all sorts of trouble." she said as she stooped to grab the table.

It was soooo tempting to just try a little bitty levitate spell..With Jack helping her though she worked to right the table the old fashioned way. "So what do you do that keeps you so busy?" she asked.

Tessa Cartner listened to Jack as they continued their way through the tables. What she lacked in strength she made up for in stamina, and didn't seem wearied by the work in the least. "Oh well that's a bother. About all I get tapped on the shoulder for is when people tell me something's on fire." she said a bit sheepishly.

"And not always.. but I'm getting better! They almost work most of the time though." she added confidently.

She did note he didn't answer her earlier question, but tact was never her strong point and she tried again in a different wording. "So what do you do for work?" she asked.

Tessa Cartner happily obliged as she moved to start putting the chairs back into place. "Oh, ever since I went to live with my Aunt. So since I was ten." she said happily.

"She's a great mage! You should meet her! She teleported all the way here from the US. I can't wait till I can cast spells like that." she beamed excitedly.

Something caught her eye though as she noted The Mystic's entrance she waved cheerfully to him. Completely oblivious to their less than positive introduction years ago. Looking back to Jack as he righted the last table she changed the topic entirely. "I wonder if I can find a job around here. I'm old enough to work now." she said proudly.

Tessa Cartner had a talent for being utterly oblivious to odd happenings around her, even random explosive sounds. Afterall with how often she blew stuff up, it was almost second nature to her. She cheerfully kept chattering through the teleportation and Jack's startle.

"Oh but it seems so exciting here!" she says as she puts a few more chairs into place.

"And Dom seems nice enough. He put me out when I was on fire!" she repeated, forgetting that she had already told him that earlier.

Tessa Cartner finished righting the last of the chairs as she beamed proudly and happily. Though she really had thought that spell would work. At least the fog had mostly disapated from the room as she glanced about to make sure everything was back in place.

"Thank you!" she said to Jack happily.

Noting she was being addressed she approached cheerfully. "Hello Mr. Kastner." she said to the man next to Geddes. To Geddes she shook her head. "No sir. I'm Tessa though!" she told him as she offered a hand out.

Tessa Cartner withdrew her hand after a moment, "Oh, that sounds important! I'm just Tessa. But I'll be important too someday!" she said before she offered a nod to Kastner. "She forgot to tell me where she's staying though. I'm sure she's around somewhere." she said, utterly oblivious to any and all neglect from Katarina.

Tessa Cartner opened her mouth to answer Geddes only to have Jack intervene and leave her looking a touch confused. But the topic quickly changed and she forgot about her earlier blundered spells as she heard what he said.

She looked at Geddes with surprise, "Does he mean it Mr. Vogler? A real magic school?" she asked.

Tessa Cartner took in Geddes words with a touch of excitement but then she furrowed her brow briefly. "I don't know, I would have to talk to my Aunt. And enrollment must be expensive for a school like yours!" she added.

"My Aunt teaches me lots though, I've been working on this new spell, wanna see?" she asked suddenly forgetting the no magic rule Dom had put in place in her sudden excitement. Fortunately for Dom, and herself probably the sudden intrusion of Drake Stern distracted her as she looked over. "What's all this about?" she asked the group of people she was standing with.

Tessa Cartner listened attentively to the conversation going on but was for once actually being reasonably quiet.
