Gentry nodded. "The youths enthusiasm and ideas will one day be an asset when he understands the proper implications and social structures behind them. We are sorry you were not contacted on the topic before now. Security aside, failure to ask if a dozen people could use one of your structures for several hours is inexcusable."

"On the flip side..." The Gentry began, "We are probably not too likely to directly target whatever your vendetta is about. Our efforts, if anything, may benefit one or two individuals within the Society by taking away Vidious power and control, so we may be of conflicting interests."

"Gen, in his youth and naivety, probably just made a mistake or assumption. I will take responsibility and burden of his actions this once."

Gentry shrugged. "I'd rather not leave it to chance," he admitted. "The more people who try to take this man down the more chance we have to succeed, assuming nobody gets in each others way."

"Ah yes. He has four individuals he has been seeking to capture, not kill. We know of the location of two. Or rather one, and the other we have kept somewhere safe."

"At which point I'd assume Gabriella would be retracting her offer for you to join us."

Gentry waved off Gabby. "I will have to return to my estate to acquire the funds or timber if you wish me to reconstruct any damage done. You are welcome to the meeting if you wish. It will happen two nights from now, and you can decide whether or not you wish to align yourself with our cause."

"I was going to call a vote to euthanize our captive. Forgive my heartlessness, but I find it hypocritical and offensive that we are so desperate to keep these four individuals from Vidious and yet despite a security breach and the loss of one we still won't take appropriate measures to absolutely ensure his failure."

"She means a majority of our members will appear via hologram, illusion or astral projection, and Gen will set up measures to allow those otherwise unable to be present. Likely via his paper magic. Apologies for misleading you into thinking we would be bringing an invading force into your home." The invading force comment was a joke, naturally.

Gentry bowed once more. "Please lead the way. Who is this Chase individual? Surely he is not one of the three- ah, two thieves who assaulted one of our previous 'secure' locations?"

Gentry nodded. "Hm, it would be best, to maintain peace of your Landing, that Chase's location is not brought up. I understand the members of the organization wish to accost him for his current unfortunate position. I would not wish to impose on your friendship with him either."

A hunched figure slowly approached the group, metal mask hiding his face as steam slipped from the mouth-hole. He paused momentarily to examine the board, then turned to the two. "Perhaps the lady requires a demonstration of your superior strength."

"Your enemy, correct. Allow me to introduce myself. I am simply, The Gentry." He bowed, one arm in front of his body. "And today I wish to test your strength."

"By no means underestimate my mere appearance of a gentleman. I have a fighting spirit which matches my monstrous mask. Will you be my opponent?"

The Gentry raised himself up to an upright stature rather than his usual hunched position. "Then let us put up our dukes." His hands curled into fists as his feet shifted into a fighting stance.

"I would offer the lady to go first, but then I'd feel silly."

He launched forwards with surprising speed, clearing several feet in one jump with a fist drawn back and then swung downwards for Salana,

The Gentry leapt back, landing firmly on both his feet, then reaching up to adjust his tie. "A gentleman must be well prepared in case a band of ruffians would accost him. And I did not expect such strength from a lady with your beauty."

He would use that off hand comment to dash forward and try to sneak another punch in, an uppercut this time.

"Had I wanted to hurt you I probably would have pursued you upwards," he answered, not breaking pace as he surged forward, this time hunched forward with his shoulder down. He was looking to barge her with his shoulder for the nearest tree.

The knee caused him to chuff steam from his mouth, followed by both arms blocking the front of his chest to try and stop the uppercut, but he was still sent hurtling backwards, barely catching himself with his feet. "Impressive," he said, reaching for his hat and tipping it.

"You're better prepared than I had expected." He let out a low chuckle. "I will make my retreat now, if left unhindered."

The Gentry turned, and then in two mighty jumps he was nearly out of sight.

A figure lingered nearby on top of a building, but he was not there for long. He descended from the city rooftops for the pavement, landing with a thud on two feet and one fist, head initially down. But then it rose t stare at Curtana, a chuff of steam coming from the mouth of metal mask. "Excuse me Madam," he calmly stated as he rose to stand, one hand pressing across his stomach.

"I am the Gentry. Civilised bruiser and member of a group interested in a mutual acquaintance known as Aze, or also as the rage demigog." He folded forward into a bow, then rose once more. "I wished to inform you on some facts you may have been unaware of."

"Aze is a powerful individual, certainly stronger physically than many, if any, other. The man is highly wanted by a corrupt group known as the Assassin Society." His fists curled slightly. "And I am with a group who wishes to stop the Society from taking him. However, that puts us at odds, as the Society wants him alive."

"He is no longer in the city."

"I wish you to weigh up your options carefully. The man who wants Aze alive is a powerful and psychotic leader of a guild of paid professional killers. I dread to imagine what he might wish to do with your friend, and I am not ready to risk finding out. Fortunately, as the villainous cur does not currently possess any of the four he needs, the priority to eliminate Aze is low."

He stalked forward, matching her step for step. "Aze is a psychopath, and barely in control at the best of times."

"Violence, anger, rage, hate, these are common things. Aze suffers from genuine psychosis. Have you ever seen how disproportionately he assaults those around him? He will injure people merely for being 'In his way', and should you fight? He has no qualms over killing."

"But make no illusion. Even though he is the only demigod of rage presently alive, he is not the only one to have ever existed. Which only raises more questions. Like... Why him specifically?"

Setting

He merely shrugged. "Demigods, more powerful and more stable. There are even more available rage demigods, or would be down the line. Demigods are not uncommon. There is nothing special about Aze. Many demigods go on a journey of discovery. Many react violently to mortals. Many are victims of their lineage."

"So why him? Do you know?"

"I unfortunately am clueless."

"I will not halt your progress, but I will not stop mine for the sake of your own peace, as the Society will not either. You have chosen a friend who will face a dark path in the near future. Best of luck." It was sincere, but that only made it ironic. 'I'm going to go try and kill your friend, but I want you to have good luck'.

The setting changes from main-street to Gambit's Bar

It was perhaps the first time Gentry approached Gambit's Bar, and with good reason. All too often his frightening appearance caused misunderstandings and violence. Not that he blamed anyone. He was perpetually haunched, which made him seem quite brutish and apelike, especially with the way his knuckles curled inwards, and chuffs of steam escaped his mask at random intervals. The mask in question was ghastly too, cold steel with little signs of humanity and with red eyes gleaming out.

He could be quite frightening.

Overall he liked to believe he maintained a respectable appearance, with a tailcoat and top hat, and he did try to be civil, but when you put the strength of ten men into one it tended to result in misfortunate situations.
