The Hand
Please forgive me for the sorrow. For leaving you in fear. For the dreams we had to silence, That's all they'll ever be. Still I'll be the hand that serves you, Though you'll not see that it is me.
The Hand

The Hand is a warrior and killer raised from birth. Given no name, he is taught how to fight and how to protect or, if needed, to kill. The Hand only responds to his Aliases or his Gifted Name, a name given to him when formally "joined" with the one he is intended to protect. This person is usually a sibling of some Royal Line, a magi apprentice or a high ranking officer in the military.

The hand is considered a tool and not a person. The hand's education, as such, is very basic, yet he talks very rarely and usually just to answer the one he protects or in thanks, and thanks are seldom given. The Hand knows what he is and why he does it, realizing his life and dreams are not important and worthless compared to the one he must protect, for their life, dreams and goals are all he lives for now. If the one The Hand must protect is killed it means The Hand failed to protect them and died in service.

There are no records of any emotional ties with The Hand.

The Magi's Blessing

When he was taken away as a boy, The Hand was scent to a special branch of Magi who represent the spells of The Council. The young boy is left with the Magi for an untold amount of hours, but when he returns from them his eyes have changed from their original color to Snow White and his hair to Obsidian Black. It is said his eyes can now rapidly adjust to light and dark surroundings faster than most normal human beings. It is also rumored his ears are slightly pointed but that is unknown as his ears are hidden beneath his black hair. Though there is no doubt there hearing is now sharper than before and can let him pick out who said what from a great distance. More abilities can be discovered as The Hand grows.

The Sage's Blessing

not long after the Magi's Blessing the boy is taken away to the Sages who represent their Deity. The boy is left with the Sages for a time that nears almost a full day but when he emerges his skin is now tanned, as if touched by years of sun, and his body is strong and hard, though The Hand is little more than an infant. Through a few years of training it is discovered The Hand's body heals readily and regenerates at a pace no normal human ever could. This greatly improves ferocity in battle and can demoralize certain enemies during the fight. As The Hand grows more more abilities can be discovered.

So begins...

The Hand pushed open the door. Entering just beyond the frame to stand. Eyes of snow whit scanning those around him with an unsettling alertness. His features seemed well tanned for one of his height and age, and to be wearing full plate armor, complete with shield and sword? He had his right hand on the hilt of his sword at all times while he crossed into the bar, moving to an empty booth to take a seat, silence was all he gave.

The Hand stood again, unsatisfied with his seat, glaring at it like some lover who had wronged him. Yet he moved on like a good man and found another seat at the counter, his snow eyes turning to spot Aliana but his face of stone said nothing and remained emotionless, only his eyes really spoke anything about him.

The Hand tightened the hand on the hilt of his sword and approached slowly until he stood not far away. Snow white eyes gazing into the others face, form unmoving as he only watched. Lips, which cold have been carved from stone, remained in their perpetual frown. From this close it was clear The Hand was young, no more than maybe 16, though the scars and the tanned skin suggested a long a hard life, and with him clad in full plate it seemed that this was so. But who would send a boy off in such a thing, to fight no less...

The Hand only stared. He might of heard the name but it was uncertain. For the moment the Pledge of The Hand had not been said, so he could roam as he wished until his oath was given, yet such a time was not far away. No he only stood silence because his rights held him to it, and because his education made it so only the basics of speech and reading were possible, but need did the Hand of the shield and sword have of such communications? None if needed.

The Hand moved away from the two, walking back the way he came to stand on the edge of shadows, his white eyes seeming to glow as he looked back out at the bar. Remaining there for a few moments before leaving. His face had not changed, save the hair of a smile that appeared when he approached the woman, but if someone as profound as she missed it... Then maybe it didn't exist to begin with...

The Hand The door was pushed open, attached to the handle a hand, to that an arm leading to the shoulder and a whole body really. So there he was, standing in the door way, his features a bit obscured by the poor light but at least his Snow White eyes seemed to glow into the bar. Standing for a few more moments before slowly entering his left hand held his shield while his right looked clenched, ready and wanting to draw sword. So it was, that The Hand entered the bar.

The Hand The door was pushed upon quickly and quietly as a figure stepped in, the sounds of his full plate armor clanking as it rubbed and hit together multiples times, before he was fully in view. His face looked to be no more than 16 yet his expression was grim, as if he had seen more than just putting on the armor. One his left arm was a kite shield with a strange insignia, which was mirrored on the scabbard of his blade and his shoulder guards. His right hand was holding his scabbard and sword tightly. Scooting off to the side to stand in both shadow and light, his Snow White eyes gazed openly out at everyone, body motionless.

The Hand 's eyes drifted down on Tamara though they would only hover for a few seconds before gazing back up at the apparent
nothing
. His hand tightened on the scabbard of his sword a bit, but other than that he remained motionless.

The Hand moved slowly, his armor shifting making sure it wasn't silent as he approached the table Crepa hid under. Pausing just before it he slowly knelt down until both sword and shield helped support him. Those snow white eyes just gazing at her face a thin frown that almost seemed chiseled on his face of stone.

The Hand only watched, unflinching to the screams and uncaring to the outside world. Those white eyes just matching her own and yet, for as lively as The Hand could be. His eyes almost seemed hollow and his mouth had been frozen into a frown long ago.

The Hand continued to stare, impassive to her words and actions. Almost as if he hadn't heard hr to begin with. Those Snow White eyes continuing to linger on her own.

The Hand wouldn't move, as she seemed to close her eyes to him the thin line of his frown seemed to flicker and tremble, almost as if he was offended. But for those with eyes sharp enough to see what it really was. The boy was simply trying to speak faint words, yet there was no sound to be heard. After a time to attempt to talk fell still into that never ending frown as he looked on on this sad sad looking mother.

The Hand watched, maybe blinked for his first time before resuming his watch before finally his right hand moved to attach his sword at his side and a metal glove and gauntlet reached out to grab on of her arms to slowly pull her from under her hiding spot.

The Hand stood her up and turned. Pausing as his eyes gazed at the Armored figure of Christopher before his held tilted down to look at his own. The frown unchanging he began to cross the bar towards the exit, his right hand still trying to pull Crepa along to take her somewhere else.

The Hand pushed the door open and slowly entered. His armor shifting and clanking together as he moved, the occasional bang sounded off when the heavy kite shield knocked against something else or his armor. His right hand was empty though his sword and scabbard were fastened to his side this time. Snow White eyes scanned the patrons around him as he entered, shifting his position slightly before making his way off to a side, a bit of his armor brushing Kisa as he passed. His face and eyes seemed almost like stone when he finally stopped, giving an about face, and leaning against a support beam, watching everyone around him, carefully.

The Hand turned his head slowly so his snow white eyes gazed at Kisa, in response to her little peek at him. Almost as slowly he turned forwards again, though not dismissing her completely out of view. One thing that seemed off about this was the fact he didn't seem to blink. And he hadn't said a word since he entered.
