Lockpick hung from a fire escape on a nearby building, watching the seemingly normal exotic housecat walk by below. The man was quiet, agile and had a slender build. Also he was a bit of a kleptomaniac, and knew a theif when he saw one, especially a wanted theif like himself. With a single fluid motion he disengaged his crowbars from the grating and landed on his feet behind the cat without a sound due to his sound absorbing boots. "Here kitty kitty kitty," he called out tauntingly, his voice seeming to come from all sides.

Lockpick chuckled and leaned against the wall of a building, attatching one bar to his belt while idly tossing the other up in down in his left hand. "Relax Cat, yes I know who you are, big legend you are, get in a fling with Spider Man, hunt some vamps with Blade and now you here, running from SHIELD and their registration, aren't we all?" he said. His suit was mostly black with armored shins, forearms and upper chest and spine, his face was covered by googles and a breath filter. He doubted she had heard of him, he rarely pulled off the big heists, he stole simply to steal.

"The name's Lockpick, though I will answer to just Lock." he replied. The arrival of the police nearby seemed to put him on edge and he stopped tossing his crowbar. With a jump straight up that no normal human could make his was again hanging upside down, Spider-Man-esque, under a fire escape. Behind his goggles his eyes flicked in the direction of the jewely store and back to the cat's collar, "I see you have been working." he said with an invisble smirk.

Lockpick chuckled again, "Just saying hi to some one from the old world." he said, gripping his crowbars and magnetizing his boots to keep from falling. "And no, I am not registered, what self respecing theif gives his name to the government as well as reveal his secrets?" he asked. As far as he knew the reason other countries didn't have similar laws was that their native metas worked for their governments, Canada's Alpha Flight for examply as well as Captain Britain who was actually part of a multiversal peace keeping group of some sort.

"Now I take my leave, with the valuables of this appartment," said Lockpick, jerking his head that the building next to him which he had already browsed through. He silently flipped onto the top of the fire escape and wall jumped to the roof of the building. "A little something to remember me buy," he said as a seemingly normal key stabbed into the ground infront of the cat. With that the man was off, vanishing into the night.

Marcus walked slowly through the gardens, staying in the middle of the paths and under the lights. The boy was young, possibly in his early teens. His clothes were a little worn and dirty and he was brushing a little dirt off of them as he walked. Around his right arm a small yellow serpent with wings was coiled, seemingly asleep. The child looked around nervously, hearing voices nearby, he had lost track of his travelling party and was now alone in the dark in a strange city garden. He absently stroked the serpent's back, earning a soft cooing sound from the creature.

Marcus found an intersection in the paths under a large lamp and sat down, trying to decide what to next. "What do we do Samir?" he asked aloud. [I don't know, I smell something though.] rang through the boy's mind. Marcus hadn't yet mastered the concept of mental communication with the yellow hatchling on his arm. The boy pulled a small bag of beef jerky out of his pocket and headed one to the drake and began to eat one himself.

Marcus blinked as the small yellow drake flew off of his arm and to the top of a nearby wall. "Samir, where are you going?" called the boy before jumping to his feet to chase after him. Finding his apperant pet atop a wall he gabbed onto a nearby tree and climbed up to the top as well. [There's people down there Marcus] said the hatchling in the boy's mind. "I can see them," he whispered, not wanting to anger them, he hoped they hadn't heard him earlier when he called after the yellow serpent.

[I'm going down there, they don't look evil] stated the hatchling, flying off the top of the wall and making a slow circle in the air until it landed in the grass near the trio. "Samir, no" breathed Marcus, he was too late however, the drake was already amongst them, he took longer to clamber down from the wall, falling the last two feet. "Ow, Samir, get over here," he hissed, the drake appeared not to hear him.

The hatchling turned toward Tikaro, letting out a small hissing sound. At this Marcus slowly came out of the bushes he had fallen into. "His name is Samir and his a dragon, he's just small." said the boy, sounding defensive and defiant. He was probably twelve or thirteen, and a rather impetuous yet sometimes cautious boy. [Marcus, don't make them angry.]

Marcus moved forward and picked up Samir, feeling better as the hatchling coiled around his arm again. "He's a Bond Drake from Lakeise." said Marcus, [Yes, I am] added the drake. He was a small winged serpent with yellow scales and white markings and two small black horns. It had never been revealed to Tikaro the name of the islands but this drake and a mutual friend of Tikaro and Saleen named Ichiro were the same species.

Marcus heard the call of an adult of Samir's kind and ran off in its direction, happy to be found, and afraid of the trouble he was in.

Lockpick sat silently about two buildings over, facing away from Black Cat. The only thing that revealed the mutant klepto's presence was his outline against the lights of small block party below. Unlike before he was not wearing his lightly armored suit, rather a casual dinner suit as he was planning to drop in on the party as some point. Like the Chameleon however it was impossible to tell if the smooth shaven visage was the man's true face, he could even change his fingerprints on a whim. Although he was without his suit he was still well equiped, a collapsible crow bar hid in one sleave.

Lockpick smiled, his face, if it was truly his, was handsome and fit the stereotype of a smooth talking rich bachelor. "Hello again Cat," he said, his voice matching the same steroetype as his face. "It looks like quite the party, lively young crowd but old enough to have some control, not half bad music either." he said, never taking his off the people dancing and socializing below him. In truth he wouldn't have noticed her except for the man shouting, he knew for a fact the man hated cats.

Lockpick smirked rogueishly, "I try. You didn't look half bad in that leather and fur outfit you used to run around in back in New York." he replied, implying that had seen her or at least pictures or video of her. He turned his attention back to the party as a requisite slow dance song began to play, stepping off the edge of the rooftop he turned on his heal with suprising grace and made a few dance steps, feeling the speed and tune of the music. "There was a time when this was what I wanted to do, but stealing brings more of a thrill." he said as he stopped dancing and faced the cat again.

Lockpick laughed and leaned agains the edge of the roof. "Don't we all?" he asked, not looking for an answer. He noticed as he watched the party goers with some sadness that none of them were worht the effort to steal from. Since it wasn't the value of the object he cared about it was the trill of getting it and escaping that mattered to him. "Not the same Cat that got the Spider to fall for her now," he said, turning to look at the feline, his eyes seeming to glow like a cat's though they were icy blue.

Lockpick smirked and turned his head slightly away from her. "Careful Cat, I am a klepto and hearts can be stolen as well." he said with a wink. Well the fur was different he had to admit, but the figure of the old Cat was still there, if he had easily resisted petting the housecat he seemed to be mentally chaining a hand to the ledge in front of him. He had always admired his fellow theif, managing to get her name well known without being caught, despite his skill he was technically small time.

Lockpick laughed, taking it all in stride, "The one thing a theif must respect of the fact that some one's significant other is off limits." he said, mentally unshackling his hand. "Speak, no one here but us pidgeons," he said, using an old expression for feel free to talk it's just us here. He looked out across to the next few buildings, brushing some straight black hair out of his face.

Lockpick nodded, "Keys can do many things and can be many things, that is why they are so key to things." he said. It was an odd little saying of his, though it made him sound unhinged when he said it. He turned so his blue eyes met hers, but only for a moment, simply to read the emotion. "I was going to be John Locke, handsome party crasher, not to mention pickpocket." he said, looking back down at the party.

John chuckled, "Staying with some one clean I take it?" he asked, figuring that was the answer without her needing to respond. "Take care of yourself, watch out for the wolves, full moon's coming." he said as he stepped into the stairwell that led to the roof they were standing on. He turned to face her a last time, giving her a two-fingered salute before straightening his tie and descending to the party below.
