"Charitable, then again I might be a saint with another man's coin." Were the words that The Shadow Stealer chose introduction to. The grinning rogue emerged out of the shadows in all his glory, the beautiful legacy cloak was somewhat dulled at the moment due to the afternoon weather. His warms with both crossed casually as he offered a very majestic melodramatic bow in the honor of the King of Thieves at the Citadel, the elusive David Trapspringer. "Many greetings my one eyed fellow." he granted to the fellow half elf with a light merry tone in his voice. He wouldn't blame him if he did not know what in the four divine sake just WHAT or WHOM he was he had literally vanished off the face of Gaia for several years now.

The Shadow Stealer graced a glove hand to his smooth chin listening. His city? Certainly things HAD changed here in Skyfall. "The Shadow Stealer? Honestly! I simply thought that devilishly handsome fellow was a bedtime tale guardsmen tell their children to not sleep at not." he teased with a light chuckle "Certainly such a legendary, intelligence and handsome beast would certainly throw alot of weight whereever he decides to poke his masked nose in, freelancing or not." he proposed playfully with a second chuckle.

He then paused like the actor he was "I!? Freelancing! Oh no my dear sweet cheeked fellow." He cooed with a merry jest "You must have mistaken me for some thief! How silly of me! I am simply some gaudy nobleborn off to the ball in this wonderfully convincing costume. Would you mind being my date??" he requested merrily.

"David Trapspringer you sly dog, your getting in stabbing distance of me." he called his bluff as he was getting much closer with each step with a light chuckle. At the same moment the master thief shifted his almost god-like hands to remove all the stolen swag that David had snatched on the open street. His technique was perfect and deadly that even a master thief like David might not have realize that anything had vanished until the master thief lifted the fine goods to inspect it idly. "Interesting haul." He would compliment if successful.

The Shadow Stealer paused for a moment observing the sight of David Trapspringer. They were no words, simply observing the posture, magical artifacts, the thinning veiled threats. It fascinated him more than frighten him as a simple graced his masked face "Challenge accepted." Were the words he actually chose and with that the thief moved to vanish into the walls and shadows of the alley once more from where he came.

What wondrous theatrics that were commencing at this stage. His eyes were laced in the ability to perceive in even the blackest of voids naturally which gave him a distinct advantage at times with other fellows whom kept to the darkness. The scroll was curious but even more curious was the small ritual of flicking's one wrist to commence it. Within moment's he vanished and like the prepared burglar he was he applied a set of goggles from his hiding space. The magical items saw the figure of the elusive thief lord as he was. He resisted the urge to chuckle as he 'shadowed' the thief lord with inhumane stealth. When the robe wearing high elf descended out of the allies back into the street, The Shadow Stealer would try to secretly follow suit, the beautifully smelling sewers of the city was his mode of transportation. Rooves were so outdone all ready, the grates and drains becoming his eyes and ears.

The Shadow Stealer grinned as he saw the 'high elf maiden' vanish away into a murder of crows. Crows, how intriguing. A soft chuckle left his lips deep in the sewers, apparently his foe had many faces. Absolutely... perfect. In the darkness of the sewers he emerged out of grate into another dead end alley. He emerged smelling absolutely odorless, the special properties of a salvant he applied to avoid being scented. The guards he faced in the far off world tended to use dogs and it was a wonderful counter.

He glanced around before he smiled nodding his head to a homeless dwarf who was scared half to death by the sight of this living shadow reshape into a man. "Morrow, A platinum for you my friend." he knew the beggars were trapspringer's eyes and ears "Tell your master he'll know where to find me."

With that said he removed a potion from his person partaking in it. It altered his shape, his clothes, his appearance everything until he himself was none another than Elio the Wise. She grinned, this would be barrels of fun.

Walking out the street she paced down the market, as she did she randomly kicked a poor halfling back into the gutter at the aghast of the local populace. This would be very fun indeed.

"I won't let you destroy everything I worked for! I will stop your insidious plans to censor our history so that none will know just what you done!" Elio the Wise announced. She was at the guild of sages now, her arms were filled with enough lore, books and tomes of such great historical importance that it did warrant the guards that were chasing her with the extremely concerned sage. "Elio! Have you gone mad!?" he exclaimed in utter horror.

When he had found out that this woman was actually someone he could not help but take full advantage of it. She continue to race until she was out of the hall the historian and the police baffled as they took their next turn to find she had vanished out the window.

She stuffed the books and papers next in the satchel she blatantly stolen in the marketplace right next to the nose ring off that orc she ripped out who was visiting the on diplomatic purposes with the belt of the poor unfortunate guard she pants at the Royal district. Taking a rather astute breath she wondered when the guards would break into the home she apparently owned and find all that demon worshiping effects she had in that 'secret room' she held the mistake of leaving slightly open.

"Come sasha." She beckoned tugging the goat she had on the leash further into the streets of the city. He would come, she knew he would and he would come on her terms.

Elio the Wise grinned, they were alone and he was completely off balance, this was practically giving him everything he needed on a silver platter. "A rather nice set of garments." She complimented as the woman merely remained standing where she was. No bodyguards, nothing along the shadows as far she could observe, he must have really kept alot of secrets from his organization.

The Shadow Stealer paused, how did he discover that name?? That certainly could not do. "And now it seems that the time for jests are over then." She prose taking the form of the master thief once more. In the evening his cloak shinned brilliantly once again, the constellations shifted with his motions as a pair of daggers twirled out of his sheath. They were a wondrous pace away now, offering him one more bow.

"I sincerely hope you don't turn out to be a bore David Trapspringer, I have been waiting all day to know of your blade." Heh, he chuckle slightly at the last comment "Then again I could have asked the many fortunate ladies that you advised me to pretend to be dates." He commented.

His form was purposely void, passive as though he was waiting for the first strike, the first blow.

The Shadow Stealer felt something wrong before he gazed into the right eye. The stars slightly shinned for a moment before a cunning grin came to his face. As the Basilisk eye opened it met the Shadow Stealer's eyes which were completely closed. "I just realized something David." he replied as he swiftly moved to take a deadly form "Just how much of a story the bards will tell when I defeat you with both eyes shut?" he inquired and in the flash of a motion, the ungodly fast thief made the complex footwork as Kalato and Kremsis moved to slice the belt off of David Trapspringer before he could reach for his own weapons.

A dirty and deadly trick: The Shadow Stealer liked it. A grin came to his masked face as he side stepped gracefully out of the line of acid still along his footing as it did. This would be a very great duel. He saw the deadly blade move for its exact spot on the thief's body which made him flexibly contort to parry. "Engarde." he cooed as the pair of magical weapons splashed furiously with arcane effects. He raised a blade to strike but as he did he attempted to shadow conjure a double of the Shadow Stealer to stab the thief lord from behind moving his blade swiftly to attack his torso while the other was attacking his back with the same dagger, the icy touch of Kalato.

The Shadow Stealer grinned still with his eyes solid shut this was starting to be quite exciting. "Enjoying the view?" he asked his shadow double as the pair somewhat chuckled together lightly. Blades were pushed away with grounded force but just as quickly the master knives fighters moved to go for a second strike. One move to strike everything bellow the waist, moving to swipe the back of his legs while the other moved to strike above along his chest and arms with a deadly swipe. A fond move he learned where the opponent was forced to chose movement or combat.

The Legendary thief heard something he probably should not have heard, felt something he probably should not have felt and when he opened his eyes he diffidently saw something he probably should not have seen. Acid burned his left leg as he tumbled out the double was incinerated in brief seconds. A black dragon. . .that would explain . . . a lot.

"I knew I should have stacked up on Dragonsbane before I left." he jested... he jested in the face of horrific death shifting his wounded leg back inward before he twirled his cloak. His plan was simple, he would try to jump into the shadows behind the massive creature and acrobatically work up his tail towards his back.

The Shadow Stealer balanced perfectly along the back of the flight worthy dragon as they descended the night skies. As guards would look up they would only see the dragon, the thief made no sound and the star woven garment made him camouflaged with the stars themselves. This was getting out of hand and diligently the acrobatic man blurred his way over trying to reach an ear of the Dragon to speak with him. "Care to talk?" he inquired to the dragon preparing to dodge a clenching claw or swinging tail if he had to. He knew if they continued both men would be ruined and he gambled that the thief lord was a man of self preservation.

The Shadow Stealer landed gracefully, even with the injury along his leg he was in peek condition. He pulled off the hood of his cloak and removed his mask, he was surely not fooling the dragon before him. The handsome half elven man looked up to the mighty dragon he was forced to do something he normally despised: Taking a matter seriously.

"We both know something that can greatly delay the other." He prose, he was not going to say the word 'ruin' because it was simply not true. "I would like to open up talks about a possible truce."

Aruso Vlanderfel crossed his arms as he heard the talk narrowing his eyes. "I know enough, I know that if I can't beat you I can certainly escape you, I know that I can go places not even you can reach and find everything I need to expose you fully to the realm." He threaten and if the black dragon knew half about this thief of legend he would know that was not an empty promise. It was one of the only merits and perks of having a reputation.

"But I came here to enjoy semi-retirement and I do not need another thief war with another mastermind." he proposed "So I can work a few things to clear the name of your 'friend' Elio the Wise and remain in the shadows so it appears that there is not a freelancer working in Skyfall."

Aruso listened calmly but knew perfectly his worth and his ability to destroy everything that the Dragon would sent at him. After all, he enjoyed his identity but he could abandoned it for another when he torched the Dragon's entire empire to the ground and THEN kill him. "A secret alliance between us two, I pay no such tribute to you and a guarantee of YOUR silence or I will make you beg to the gods that you ever thought it wise to cross me." Negotiation, eventually they would find a deal that suited them just fine.

The Shadow Stealer stroke his chin this was actually getting interesting, very interesting and perhaps he could make this a more interesting trade. "Not even if I suggest this?" he inquired "A heist of your location and choice every season for 50 questions to answered truly." If he guessed his identity he knew the dragon had some very reliable means of gathering detail and he knew that if this dragon planned it right he could steal more than a measly 100 gold pieces a month by the end of each season off this deal alone.

The Shadow Stealer grinned "But its still tribute." Having one of the realm greatest thieves pay a portion of his coffer no matter how small was a great political move, then again Aruso felt like he was not going to get any better than that. "Very well you have your gold but you will have it under one special condition." he bartered before he reached into person and pulled out a fragrant rose. "Dinner?" he offered, he knew their version of dinner were probably very different but the half elven thief had at least hope he would humor him.

Aruso Vlanderfel released a merry chuckle before respectfully nodding his head "We'll see if I can change those quotations by the end of tonight." he challenged playfully. Causally he altered his entire appearance back to simply Aruso wearing rather colorful scoundrel garments he had not worn in a great deal of time ago, looking so different that what he normally wear that only his closest friends would have actually realized it was their friend and associate. "The Dwarven Stout tends sell some of the best vintage in the city." he suggested, the coincidence was probably not a coincidence.

Aruso Vlanderfel had his own methods of getting back to the city in less time, but if he didn't had to reveal it was no skin off his neck. "Very well, lead the way." But first, the somewhat fine in spirits man reached into his nearby bag pulling out a set of clothes that he thought David Trapspringer would enjoy, nice garments finely stitched, not rich or gaudy but something perfect to gracefully move around in and stylish enough to appease the eye. "Clothes?" he offered with a smile surprisingly chivalrous enough to take advantage of the view, not that he was modest. the Half Elf had seen so much nudity in his life it was almost second nature to him.

The Shadow Stealer paced inside, to be honest he was half expecting a trap on the other side but found he was in the kitchen. He supposed when he did killed the master thief, all David had to do was alter himself back to his humanoid form and walk into the portal and establish a nice alibi that he was here all night. Rather cunning in his opinion.

As Aruso he somewhat turned about "A guest treating your friend to a later dinner." he offered, 'a guest' was all he needed in the means of names as he reached inward and offered a bag with 100 platinum pieces inside. "May you please send us two meals and a bottle of your finest Sylvan Wine?" he requested politely, respectfully and even with a genial charm in his regal words.

Obscurity, Aruso somewhat enjoyed it for the briefest moments as he paced over to a nearby table. "Rather interesting place to have it at the center of everything David. I am beginning to understand why you picked it." That and its geographical location was perfect to breach the old catacombs that laid deeper bellow, with the right builder you could make a system as expansive as the city itself.
