Townsend was once a servant and a cabal's greatest achievement. Quite also so its last one. Not that Townsend had broken free and slaughtered them all. No, that was the group of armed men that did the killing of one violent entity or another. Squabbles of Good and evil did not inspire concern Townsend overmuch as violent behavior. As the last cabalist broke Townsend's chains it looked at the men of god it was to destroy. They saw a creature fed with the blood of errant servants staring with green socketed eyes.
No longer bound to their will he replies, "I owe horrible men nothing. And so the murder ends today, Gentlemen. Good day."
The leathery flesh holding together its torso allowed a shirt from the broken to fit proper. Holy men argued over whether to murder the creature as Townsend slips into the ether. He didn't relish cleaning up and all the servants in his mind found the cabalists undignified.
The once-fine clothes had stab wounds but a bit of washing cleaned it for the most part. Clad in what it had the skeletal-headed creature with glowing green sockets and a roiling fleshy interior went looking for a new house to serve. There was always a lord or lady looking for some good tireless help.

Townsend's Story

Gina Inviere raised her eyebrow, looking down, her eyes a stark blue in color, like river stones. Her stance was somewhat defensive, her right leg slightly behind her left, feet shoulder width apart, like someone who had extensive military training.
"That depends on your point of view." Gina responded.

Arwen Montague nodded. Surely, then, this person would know something about that looming beast overhead.
she hurriedly introduced herself, eager to learn more about the strange appearance outside.I am Arwen Montague, daughter of Ryden Montague,
she gestured, motioning with her hand towards the "chronometer"....but I've never seen something like that.
Arwen inquired suspiciously, folding her arms back across her chest in deep suspicion.You don't know anything about that thing outside, do you?
K'gara just grinned at Arwen. Her amusement at her fright was subtly approaching the point of rudeness, honestly.
Gina Inviere tilted her head to look to the window, the shadow of the ship looming across the gardens. "My name is Gina Inviere, and I'm the supreme commander of the combined military force of the United Aschen Empire." She replied, tempted to play with this individual before her, to amuse herself at their ignorance, but she quickly perished the concept, and after briefly looking to K'Gara, she brought her attention came back to Arwen.
"That 'thing' is the Profound Solitude." She answered. "My Flagship, It's a second generation Reverence class, while a very capable warship, it is no threat." The blonde woman chuckled, resting her hands on her black polished leather sam browne.
"I handpicked the crew, It won't do anything without my express command." Inviere added, tapping a small metal piece behind her ear.
"That 'thing' is the Profound Solitude." She answered. "My Flagship, It's a second generation Reverence class, while a very capable warship, it is no threat." The blonde woman chuckled, resting her hands on her black polished leather sam browne.
"I handpicked the crew, It won't do anything without my express command." Inviere added, tapping a small metal piece behind her ear.
Arwen Montague wonders why she hadn't seen anything like it before, or what had drawn it to this party, but she was fascinated. She pressed onward, ignoring the available drinks as the taste of adventure was palpably sweeter.
She just had to know more.
she exclaimed, having only seen balloons and various flying contraptions, but never anything that large. Was this like the ships her father told her about, that roamed the seas up to the legendary city of Solinus?A warship? That flies?!

Gina Inviere chuckled. "It does a lot more than fly, it's capable of intergalactic travel." She was starting to brag now. "One of these Reverences, can subjugate an entire star system. I'm surprised you haven't seen one of these. Then again, lots of Xenos seem to come out of the woodwork lately that haven't even heard of the Aschen Empire. Terra is certainly a very strange planet."
She cast her gaze over to Remilia, and smiled. "Do you have Ambrosia? Leonis estates sparkling?" She then turned back to Arwen.

Remilia Scarlet nodded and clapped her hands, a fairy maid came by not too long after with some glasses and ambrosia as well as a selection of a few other alcoholic beverages which were daintily set upon the table before her. Remilia chuckled lightly. "Sorry, I suppose I should've said yes first...pardon me, I'm just enjoying watching this conversation. Ah...we're 9 minutes away from the grand event."
Gina Inviere takes the Ambrosia with a smile, savoring the sparkling taste, the new year party was a concept lost on the Aschen woman, as Langara's new year fell at a different point in time. She checked the Chronometer again, the numerals flickering in the air.
"It's Februarius, why are we celebrating Navo Yahren?" Inviere asked.

Gina Inviere tapped the small earpiece behind her ear. "Well... it seems my presence is required elsewhere." She said, taking the last sip of her ambrosia. "It's been a pleasure." She added, before vanishing in a flash of multicolored light once more.
Arwen Montague watched as Gina changed her focus, asked for a drink, then vanished without saying goodbye. This consternation clearly showed on her face, but it was punctuated by a heavy huff and the placement of her hands on her hips.

Remilia Scarlet sat upon her seat, sipping her tea and watching the festivities for the night of January first, the New Year's being a popular celebration among those of Gensokyo. The festivities would continue from New Year's Eve until early the morning of the second, people coming and going, basking in the vibrant display and going home once finished.
A special few who attended were given accommodations for showing up; a Scarlet Devil Brooch - radiating a protective magical energy to assist one in subduing harmful magicks one may encounter, either from a mage throwing dangerous spells or from naturally occurring magical disasters.
"I hope you all had fun at this little get together...I hope to do this again soon." Was written in the letter which came with the brooch, along with Remilia's and Flandre's signature.
