Trinity Ellyse Warren

A priestess bound by oath, who's heart is swayed by whim and fancy

0 · 616 views · located in Twisted Path

a character in “The Multiverse”, originally authored by FizzGig, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Trinity Ellyse Warren

Name: Trinity Ellyse Warren Image

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Description: Trinity stands at 5 feet, 8 inches, with a slender build made lean from constant, vigorous physical activity. She has olive-colored skin, black hair, and grey eyes. No remarkable attributes such as scars or tattoos mar her skin, though she'll often paint herself for ceremony's sake.

History: Trinity was born and raised in a small village, set in a world that worshiped sentient dragons. She was selected amongst many others to become a priestess of the temple, destined to be High Priestess once she reached the appropriate age.

However, the downside to being in this alleged position of power involves the sacrifice that eventually is required of the High Priestess. She is chained to a rock, in the style of the Grecian Andromeda, and left for the dragons to do with as they deemed fit. This is Trinity's destiny, unless she decides to mark her own path in the stars.

So begins...

How curious, the woman idly thought as she pushed the door to Gambits bar open. She’d never seen such a rowdy place before in all of her life. There were so many others, so many different kinds of people populating the establishment. It was a loud, obnoxious, dirty, odd-smelling building.

Trin loved it.

From behind the shadow that her hood created over her face, her grey eyes took in everything, a smile pulling at her lips as she slipped inside the establishment, peering around a pillar and walking toward the bar counter. She didn’t even know where to begin.

“Excuse me?” she said to no one in particular, rising on her sandaled tip-toes before she pushed back the hood of the cloak. Olive skin, almond-shaped eyes, ebony hair that fell to her shouldersâ€Ļshe was the image of exotic loveliness, and her youth caused her to be completely unaware of all of this.

It was as if she could feel the eyes on her. Straightening a little, and shifting to hold the clock a little more tightly around herself, she turned and looked toward Ryan and Zachary, her eyes slightly widened as her lips formed a small 'o' shape.

Upon catching sight of their staring eyes, she smiled, her eyes gently shutting as she lifted a hand in greeting. "Hello,"

Her word was followed up with her action, crossing the distance between the bar counter and where the men were sitting. "Excuse me," she began, glancing between Ryan and Zachary, "I was wondering if one of you might be able to help me..."

She cried out when the snake struck near to the pair of them. Stumbling with him, she righted herself and continued to run, now clinging to his hand as they ran together.

"I got lost!" she cried, "Without a compass or a map it wouldn't be very easy for anyone to find their way around an unfamiliar place? I was looking for the trade road and instead I find all of this..." She glanced back over her shoulder.

"It's getting closer..." she said unnecessarily.

She yelped, but managed to keep up with him, having to collect her bearings as the pair of them did precisely what he was shouting for them to do.

She turned left.

The funny thing about all of this was, in the meantime, Trin was wondering what her Sisters would think if they saw her doing something as ridiculous as this. If she were perfectly honest, she'd suggest that they would be immensely jealous, and she wouldn't blame him.

She was scared out of her mind, but she was having the time of her life!

She was panting, practically leaning against him as she waited. At long last she had a chance to catch her breath, to work out the stitch in her side. Even if the approaching snake made her nervous, she didn't think she'd be able to run like that again, not until she'd had an adequate rest break.

It was clear the girl was not accustomed to being prey. Still, she watched as he indicated, not even really sure who this 'he' was, but trusting him all the same. He'd saved her, right?

Trin stared for a moment, blinking the dust from her eyes. Oh...clever. The man had set a trap for the creature.

Abandoning his side for a moment, she walked closer to the edge of the hole, going on her tiptoes and pulling the cowl down away from her lips as she attempted to peer inside. What fun! The girls back at the temple would never believe this if she told them what had gone on.

Turning back to the young man, she replaced the cowl over her face, hesitating before walking back to his side.

"Sorry for the trouble I caused." she said quietly. "I had no idea this area was barricaded...it didn't seem to be before, but I understand why now, obviously."

"Princess?" Trin asked with a quirked brow. "Hardly. Uh," She turned back to the direction he'd indicated. So many things she hadn't taken into consideration. How was she going to make money? Earn her keep? How would she avoid the people who were inevitably going to be looking after her?

"I'll do my best..." she told him, turning and hesitantly making her way away from him, inevitably heading in the wrong direction.

She was feeling a bit more filled with purpose. As the woman marched forward, exercising her independence, she barely heard the man crying out for her before the sound of a screech nearly deafened her.

Something crashed into her, sending her to the ground and ripping her cowl away. She rolled, trying to get back to her feet, and looking all around for whatever had attacked her.

"I didn't catch that!" she shouted back to Lucien.

She fell back to her hip as the harpie threatened to grasp her arm, lifting up her hands to shield her face. But before she knew what was happening, the creature had been dragged away from her, and was attacking the other man!

Well, that was bothersome. She was much more of a burden for this poor fellow than she'd originally anticipated. "Heavens," she breathed as she stumbled to her feet, immediately rushing to the man's side as the Harpie collapsed, leaving him with a bloodied wound on his neck.

Ignoring the corpse, she immediately applied pressure to the bite, and encouraged him to sit. "You'll bleed out," she explained, her delicate appearance marred by the blood that stained her hands.

"Heal it?" Trin replied with a lifted brow. "As payment for saving my life twice now. I'll heal you without consequence, so sit, and let me take care of this before you lose more blood than you'll know what to do with."

She reached into her back pocket, in a small pouch tied around her waist, and withdrew a tiny vial filled with a clear liquid. "Come along then. It won't hurt, I promise."

Her grey eyes met his glare, and she smiled easily in reply.

She looked back over her shoulder at him, her brow furrowing a moment before she allowed herself to shrug. "Well, naturally it would be difficult to summon sympathetic feelings for a person you've only met, but the fact that you sought to rescue me in a merely instinctual response is comforting too."

She smiled at him. "It means you're good at heart. I don't mind if you walk with me. After I make it to Wing City I'm not entirely sure where I'm going to go from there. I don't really have a plan." She laughed, as if that were the most wonderful thing in the world.

She smiled, bending to scoop up the cowl that had been tossed away by the Harpie before wrapping it around her face with a flick of her wrist. "You're right." she told him. "But only in the context of the situation. I'm sure if you met my ... family," she hesitated. "Then you would be the odd man out. Being strange is subjective depending on the one who is being judgmental."

She glanced up at him. "I think you're rather remarkable, actually. I wish I could defend myself that way so I wouldn't be such a bother to people."

"What's your name?" she asked, looking up at him with a glittering, amused gaze. "I mean, after all, a man as important and remarkable as yourself should have an equally recommendable name to go along with it, right?"

Perhaps she was teasing him a little, but the man was far too full of himself to notice at this point. He reminded her of a bird, strutting about and fluffing himself up when his pride was preened.

"Rush." Trin repeated thoughtfully. "I like it. Most people call me Trinity, but I think it's a bit too formal. I don't really care for it all that much." As they walked, she crossed her arms over her chest like he did, her head tilting back thoughtfully. "So, I'm assuming women out here don't wear the cowls? What sorts of things go on in Wing City? What's the culture like?"

She acted like she'd only ever lived in one place her whole life...and that was pretty much the case.

"I've never been to Wing City before." Trin replied with a pleasant smile. "I've only ever lived in one place, and it's set at a distance from others, so..." She shrugged. "I never really got to travel much, but I'm making up for that now. There's a first time for everything."

"I find this comfortable." she replied, beginning to strut in much the same way he was. She walked ahead of him, tilting her head back so she could look up at the trees. "What sort of work do you do, Rush? Besides killing snakes and harpies and rescuing unfortunate priestesses?"

Oops.
