Tsering Chi

"I gave up my humanity the moment I set foot into the waters of the Pit of Immortality. Human Law no longer applies to me."

0 · 104 views · located in The Hidden Glen

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Fearful-lover

Description

Image Him when he has recently entered the Pit of Immortality (Him now)
Image Him when he has gone quite a while without the healing powers of the Pit. (Him sixty years after entering the pit)

Name: Tsering Chi --- Literal translation "Long living one" --- Implied translation "Ancient one"
Nick name: Chi, Old Man, Father Time.
Age: Really really old. (Percieved to be a left over from the ancient times.)
Race: Human
Subrace: Immortal

Personality

Chi is very calm and calculating. Usually he thinks before he acts. He is extremely wise and resourceful. He uses what ever he has at his disposal when fighting or trying to survive. He also believes that the human race has gone too far with developing it's technology. He thinks that the new technologies are killing both humanity and the planet they live on. Chi thinks that he is the one to save them... How ever he has said that he cannot save both... only one of them. Humanity, or the planet.

Equipment

He is usually seen in elegant, semi-modern, white robes, with armor hidden underneith. A chestplate under the robe top, bracers on his fore arms, shin guards on his... well shins and boots. He carries a very well polished solid metal pole arm. His spear is the only weapon he carries. He believes that a spear is a weapon of wisdom as much as skill. Image Solomon is his spear's name. He named it after the wisest of kings. King Solon.

Known Techniques

Palm of Unrelenting Force- The very wind from his palm can shake mountains and cause trees to bow to his will.
Solomon's Wrath- his spear will catch flame and he will shoot it at near by enemies.
Self Sacrifice- He will sacrifice most of his youth in order to give more power and strength to those fighting with him.
Halt Time- With a mere tap of his spear onto the gound, all time within a mile radius will freeze.
Lightning sacrifice- He can sacrifice some of his youth to shoot a holy lightning bolt out of his spear.

History

Not much is known about him, just that he lives in the Old Library and for some reason won't let people go beneath it, like he is protecting something there.

So begins...

Tsering Chi was sitting in an old webcovered arm chair with a book in his lap, a cup of tea in his left hand and in his other he held his ancient, shiney, silver spear. He had recently moved his Pit of Immortality to under the library. Why? Because these modern blokes didn't go to the library.... He wouldn't be suprised if one of 'em didn't even knew what a book was. "Oh, Copernicus... You dog." he chuckled and took a sip of tea. Occasionally he would look up to see if anyone came in, just out of habit.

Tsering Chi rose his head at the sound of some one entering. "The Library..." he young looking man said. Though his physical age was betrayed by his eyes. "I take it you've never been to one?" He chuckled.

Tsering Chi put the cup of tea down on a small table next to his chair. Pointed to the exit and waved her away. "Good, then i shall inform you that this one is closed to the public. Find another dwelling to vandalize." He said sounding like an old man. He went back to reading his book he read a couple of pages and then looked up. He groaned in disgust seeing the female still standing there. "You're still here..." he said deepening his voice a little in annoyance.

Tsering Chi shook his head. "You need to pay closer attention to direction then. You can learn from this mistake. That way it will not happen again. Keep heading the way you came in keep heading in that direction until you come across a sign that says 'Wing city, this way' then follow the signs from there." he said and went back to his chair to sit down. "You do know how to read don't you?" he asked sort of arrogantly. Of course he was arrogant, he was really old, and immortal. Wouldn't you be if you watched the world go by and all you could see was the population getting dumber and lazier with every passing year? Then again... that was just his opinion.

Tsering Chi shook his head and clutched the bridge of his nose. "Hallucenations? Sounds like LSD or sleep deprivation." He chuckled lightly.

Tsering Chi shook his head. "Sleep. There's a cell somewhere down the hall where some of the old monks, the ones that used to keep the place running before they all died and the place went to shit, that still has a bed in it. Go sleep in there." he said pointing in the direction.

Tsering Chi was sitting in a large stone throne against the wall reading a book. His spear was laying across his lap. In one hand he held a book in the other he held a glass of wine. At the sound of some one entering the room, he rose his head. "The library is closed. Please escourt yourself off of the premesis." he said then proceeded to read his book.

The pale young man sighed. "I don't have time for this. If it is treasure you seek, then it is closed. However, if it is knowledge. Take your pick of any of the tomes... and please, try to stay quiet.... this place is ancient... but it's still a library." he chuckled and sipped some of his wine.

"what is it you're looking for?" he asked. "Perhaps I can help." Chi set his book and wine down on a table next to the throne. He plucked his spear from his lap and stood up. He casually made his way over to his guest and stood there looking at the scrool that the other was reading.

"Old soldier?" he said looking at himself. He didn't look old... Infact he had entered the Pit of Immortality fairly recently so he shouldn't look old for another sixty years. "I was just trying to help no need to be rude." He said turning toward the shelf of all of the scrolls.

had a slight suspision. "Many a man and woman have come here seeking fortune, youth, and fame. However, they did not find it. I kept telling them they wouldn't find anything, but you know kids these days." he chuckled.

Tsering Chi shook his head. "That does not work. Modern humans and such are far too stubborn to listen to what others have to stay. Besides, perhaps there is a treasure here... It's just waiting for one worthy enough to retrieve it. If there is i have not seen it." he said and cracked his neck.

"Again, not sure." he said narrowing his eyes a bit. "I just tend the place. I know nothing of where, or even if, the treasure is." He said with a slight shrug.

Tsering Chi rode his old grey horse into the glen and dismounted. The Ancient wore his usual white robes with black and gold trim, and had a hood thrown over his head that hid the upper half of his face. "Easy boy." he said petting the horse's snout and plucked his spear from a saddle pouch. "Ah... nice and quiet." he sighed contently as he walked to a boulder and sat down against it to do some well earned meditation time.

Right when Chi was getting into his little meditation session he heard people talking. It seemed that one was a Bounty hunter from hell? And the other... well, he could just take a guess on who the other one was. Only two kinds of beings give off that kind of energy signature. One was him, and the other was an 'Ascended', which are essentially gods or angels. The Ancient stood up from his sitting position, with a little help from his spear, and moved toward the origins of the voices, hoping to find the owners and not just another group of Fae playing tricks on him.

Tsering Chi sighed and grumbled to himself as an old man would. Though, his voice didn't sound old, nor did the bottom half of his face, which was the only part of his face showing due to the hood and whatnot. As he saw the shadowy wall approaching behind the glowing female he brought the blade of his spear close to his lips and gently blowed onto it. Shortly after he did a blinding light of holy rays would emmit from it, causing any creature with evil in it's heart to become stunned for a short time. This short time being about five minutes, for that was all the patience he had when questioning the 'Dark Ones'. "What manner of Trickery is this?" he said a bit louder, in a more powerful and commanding tone. Chi moved closer to the two of them, shining the Holy Light in the shadow creatures face to get a better look, if it was even a shadow creature to begin with.

Tsering Chi was stunned at the fact that his Holy Light was not working on this wicked beast. It had worked on countless demons before! Why not this one? "Cease and dissist this at once, beast! The Keeper Commands you!" He said and put his right hand to his belly getting ready to channel some heavy chi through his right arm and try and force the demon away from the woman. "Back I say!!" He said with boom in his voice. As he did the Light emmolating from his spear grew brighter and brighter. The Ancient threw his right hand forward, palm out towards the shadow demon, or whatever it was, and an extremely heavy wind came from his hand. This wind was so powerful that it caused the very trees to bend and bow to his might. With luck this creature would aswell.

Tsering Chi lowered his hand and tapped the base of his spear onto the ground and the light ceased to be. "Terribly sorry my dear." He turned his with the palm facing upward and stretched his fingers toward the sky and all of the trees bent back into their normal positions, well, some what. He looked to the female and raised a brow. "What exactly is a being such as you doing outside of the Holy Zone?" He inquired and pulled the hood back, revealing a very youthful and handsome face. "It's quite dangerous for an Ascended to be outside of a Holy Zone during the night, for the Dark Ones come out to prey on the meek."

Tsering Chi began to chuckle at the seemingly hyper female. "Punching another ascended in the face is not very wise. Especially if that other Ascended is the Left hand of The Almighty." He said and cracked his neck. "ugh... these old bones aren't what they used to be." he mumbled to himself. When infact they are what they used to be, he just believes himself to be 'getting too old' for certain things. "To call some one meek is not an insult, dear child. It is infact a compliment. To becalled meek means that you are humble, kind hearted, and often run over by those who are stronger than you. So you should not feel insulted." Chi whistled a couple of times and his old grey horse trotted over and stood there. "Easy." he said petting it and dug his hand into one of the saddle bags for some pastries. "Are you hungry?"

Tsering Chi pulled out two sweet rolls from the saddle bag and handed one to the female. "I never said you were weak. I simply said that there are others stronger than you. YOU are the one who said you are weak." he said using his ancient logistic skills. He was quite amused with her. She seemed a bit over confident, and that's what amused him with most kids these days. "You seem quite full of yourself. And that word again 'I think'. That bit of over confidence is what's going to get you eaten by older demons. And by older i mean the Ancient Darks. They are the demons before Lucifer even created the Great Pitt. They absolutely love to devour the energies of over confident ascended such as you. Not to sound insulting of course. I am just saying how things are." he said and took a bite out of his sweetroll.

Tsering Chi smiled and took another bite. "Well I was born in the first era of human life. Back when humans were nomads. Let's see here.... that was.... Pre-history, so about sixty five, seventy thousand years ago. My group was growing too large so I and about thirty others broke off to form a new nomadic group. We wandered through the tundra for months, possibly years. What was once Thirty, now dwindled down to four. Myself, and my three brothers." He began, just staring off into the distance as if the recollection of such a memory sent him into a trance. "We had been wandering for weeks. No food, barely any water, and not a single warm place to hide. That is, until I and my brothers stumbled upon a cave, the inner caverns were filled with water. Each of is rejoiced and took a bath in these waters. When we emerged, we were ten years younger than when we originally went in, physically of course." he said and sniffed a couple of times. He paused long enough to take a bite of his roll. "As a wise man once said -- few people have the stamina for immortality. Most just wither away and die after the first few hundred years. That's what happened to my brothers. I bet you can guess what happened to me, seeing as though i'm standin right here" he chuckled taking a bit of a break from speaking.

"It seems fate has brought you too me for a purpose." He thought putting a hand to his chin. "Perhaps I could educate you. Teach you to read, do mathematics, stuff like that. Just so you aren't confused by the things i say and the stories I tell. To be quite honest, please do not take this the wrong way, you are perhaps the most ignorant person i have ever met." He laughed a bit and finished off his sweet roll. He ran his finger along the length of his solid silver spear. "Yes. It is 'The Fountain of Youth' in a manner of speaking. I am it's guardian. No mortal shall enter it's chamber so long as I live. Mankind is not ready for such a thing yet." he said rather sagely.
