The Secret Security Agency is a secret Law Enforcement Branch centered on Origin. They cover both covert operations, high profile investigations, and everything inbetween. Some believe it is operated by a divine being, but no one knows for sure.

Description

Name: Tyrios Arden (On Paper), Tyrardren (Divine Name) Quote: "We all do what we have to for the sake of the world. And so do I".

Age: N/A (Ageless)

Nicknames: God of Children, Mischief, and Talent.

SSA Ranking: Arch Chief Commander

What is the SSA?: The SSA is the initials of one of Origin's Law Enforcement branches, also known as the Special Security Agency. Special Security agents are not chosen from experience or connections, but rather their individual talents and abilities, if one of hte higher ups think they would be a good fit. They are often carrying out both standard and covert operations, and have advanced training and abilities. Including, they are given something called a "Coil Freeze", which causes them to enter a state of unaging. It also grants them further special abilities, and gives them a trace of Divinity. Tyrios Arden is the source of that Divinity.

Who is Tyrios Arden?: Tyrios Arden, or better known by his ancient divine name, is Tyrardren, God of Children, Mischief, and Talent. He comes from a time when Gods were genderless beings of pure divinity, but was put into this form after an incident that caused havoc both on Origin and in the Divine Realms. Barring special, special exceptions though, he is not allowed to use most of his Divine Abilities in his physical form, and has been tasked/punished with establishing and maintaining an organization on Origin dedicated to helping people, keeping the peace, and doing what is believed to be right.

As a divine being, he is incapable of understanding some of the concepts mortals had created, mainly around age, gender, and race. That said, although he accepts all sorts of Agents, as he is still the god of Children, he has a tendency to favor, look out for, and be especially drawn to children. Although his divinity does tend to make his intentions and actions pure and without darkness, either he has not quite adapted to the mortal world still as a being that is fundamentally different at its core, because it sees through what it would consider "silly concepts" of mortals, or maybe being so long there has driven it somewhat crazy, some people might consider him weird, or a pervert, or both. However, he is ultimately a good person (probably) in the end. However, this is why many of the agents are often recruited as Children, and given a piece of Divinity that halts their aging forever. Though in truth, that just kind of makes them like Dwarves, Gnomes, and other small human looking races.

His current project to support his goals, without ruling over people directly like a King or such, is that he is the Director, or the Arch Chief Commander, of the SSA. He is its leader, he organizes it and manages it. His actions have helped keep Origin safe and secure. So reguardless on what impression he gives, you know he is someone who has made the world a better place for people to live in.

So begins...

"You cup of tea, as always, young master" a maid told him as he was offered tea in a lovely little cafe. It was not considered officially as a maid cafe, but the people who worked there were all professional maids and cooks and possessed those abilities. They also wore maid outfits, so there was that too. But in truth, Taiko did not come to this place because of any desire for the maids. He came here because they had his favorite tea in the city. Because of that, he came here regularly as he did the crossword puzzles, especially these latest ones.

"So, you figure out the hidden messages yet?" an average looking office worker said as he came down and sat on the opposite side of the table.

"...I dont know you, you weird pervert stranger" Taiko replied quietly, as he kept working.

"Ehh? Dont be mean Taiko! I am not a pervert!"

"...yes, you are".

"So you admit you know me then".

Taiko clicked his tongue at that coment, and made eye contact with the office worker...or rather, his boss at the SSA.

"...no, still working on it. Whoever the spy is, I think they are using different cyphers each time".

"And the hidden messages inside the crossworld puzzles are for sure there?"

"Yes. I managed to decode one using one of the encryption keys I figured out. They plan on targeting some upcoming economic summit. Lots of rich people, lots of money. If that summit blows up, the entire economy will be thrown into a frenzy, the news will have a field day, and lots of companies will be destabilized and at risk" Taiko told him, as he sipped his tea.

"Alright, good. Besides, I know you are grateful to me for saving you" Tyrios mentioned, as he also ordered something.

"Good?"

"Yes. This is our reason for getting eyes on in that event, and our legitimate reason for pulling an increase in our budget".

"But...our budget is mainly stolen from criminals?"

"Yeah, but sometimes its really annoying ordering paperclips..."

Taiko just sat there, questioning his boss' sanity.

"...stop staring at me. And the maids. And everyone".

"...sorry".

Almost as if the strands of fate itself moved at Seki's word, an Origin ship appeared. Maybe, if one had their sensors calibrated a certain way, or in a certain style, they might notice some weird irregularities further away, near the edge of the system, or maybe they wouldn't. However, any of those irregularities were well outside the imminent combat zone, but close enough to come nad help in a moment if they needed to.

The Origin ship that was heading down though was one of unique design. Forged from Dwarvern Hammers, Spun by Elven Magiweavers, and driven in a powerful spirit by human craftsman, the Royal Diplomatic Vessel The Hero's Grace came down towards the meeting sight. It had no weapons at all, visible or detectable on scans, though it did have the ability to deploy drones, which included repair and intercept drones. All of its systems and power not dedicated to flight and other systems, were purely on defense. Clearly, this ship was not meant to attack anything though, and posed absolutely no threat to the delegation short of landing right on top of them. However, it was heading towards a nearby landing zone, so the chances of that happening would require the planet itself shifting and reversing in the rotation of its axis, or the entire place with them in it teleporting right under it.

Basically, it was the least threatening ship there by all accounts, but at the same time, you could ram an asteroid into that thing and it would maybe get a scratch.

And then, as such, the group from Origin came and arrived. It appeared that, aside from the Royal Guard, they had three main members. The first was King Alexandrius Verrevia himself, wearing his diplomatic clothes. A fancy array appealing to the eyes, but without so much that makes him appear arrogant and snotty. Beside him was his Royal Bodyguard and leader of the Royal Guard, Atrinix Joore. Of the three of them, he was the only one that was armed, as he had a large sword on his back. Alexandrius himself sighed a little at that, if only because he felt it was entirely unneccessary, but Atrinix's job was to be paranoid and wary and prepared for all potentials.

And then, the last member was registered to be one of his stewards, that oversaw various government transactions and operations and kept everything running, Tyrios Arden. He seemed to be staying in the back, not really appearing that important, but he certainly had a major charismatic charm that was practically out of this galaxy.

"Hello, esteemed delegates of this peace conference" he said as they arrived, and then turned to the Mauhasinan party. "And thank you for inviting us to this meeting. It is always nice to have friends that think of each other".

Shimizu Takayama holds an unforeseen authority over the Emperor of the Aschen Empire. Isambard Prince is tense beneath his clothes as he renders a bow to Shimizu, and greets the man. Watching their interactions will prove to be interesting.

Thrawn lifted his chin slightly and then bowed slightly at the hip in respect to Shimizu as he was greeted. "Tenno Heika. Your presence likewise is rather unexpected, but not unpleasant." he responded calmly, moving to take his seat, his guards taking up positions where they could act quickly, and Kinara taking her place behind and to the right of Thrawn.

His glowing red eyes swept over everyone in the room, their cold, calculating gaze noticing even the smallest twitch of a muscle, and the change in infrared temperature or color of one's skin brought on by the shift of emotions. He blinked slowly, and reached a hand out. Kinara withdrew from her robes a note-book, and pen, and handed it to Thrawn. He placed it down on the table, opened it to a fresh page, and clicked the pen. It would be less rude, he believed, if he were to write down his observations, rather than type them on a data pad, and to take more careful notes for how things were shaping between each nation present.

Soon, however, it was his turn to introduce himself. Standing, he smoothed his uniform, and offered a small bow once more. "Greetings to you all. I am Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo. Supreme Commander of the newly formed Terran Defense Force. You may address me by my Core name, Thrawn, or simply as Grand Admiral. I am here merely to observe, and, if the opportunity arises, find Terra an ally." he nodded. His head and eyes turned towards the final person to enter, a sort of King, it seemed, of a distant planet. His eyes narrowed, and he slowly sat back into his seat, scooting it in, and continuing to observe.

The female, calling herself Tet'ris of the Continuum, gives Thrawn a displeased glance, but then, that is not uncommon. Indeed, even Shimizu did not expect Thrawn to arrive at all. Kinara shifts slightly under her robes, but says nothing. It is possible she has spotted Shimizu's artifact, the Tenchi-Ken, and believes it to be a Light Saber.

Kinara's eyes, hidden under her hood, indeed had spotted the Tenchi-Ken on Shimizu's belt, and were observing it carefully. A lightsaber? A wooden one, no less? And with gems? It was surely an unconventional design. Her attention would be cut off by the speaking of the King of Origin and his entrance. She crossed her arms over her chest for a moment, raising one arm to let her fingers caress her chin in thought. Once more Kinara reached out with the Force, aiming to get a sense for King Alexandrius's intentions and general demeanor at the moment, hoping that he would be a benevolent, or peace-seeking individual.

The meeting would start soon, and the final pieces were falling into place.

All factions were now gathered, and even more unexpected guests had arrived. Under normal circumstances this was a disaster waiting to happen with everyone grabbing weapons and turning this into a free for all bloodbath. However everyone seemed rather placid in how events were unfolding...Or rather could care less if unwanted guests arrived. Standing next to the table the Emperor and the Primarchs simply stood near their identified seating arrangement next to their flag. Of course the chairs here was laughably small compared to the Goliath's that stood near them.

"It is understandable that not everything can be fully accommodated for. However we are fine with standing for this meeting." The Emperor simply spoke, of course they all knew the jab at them. A...Weight joke that people played. Of course this childish joke was easily ignored as there was more matters to attend to.

"I am the Emperor of the Imperium. Besides me are my sons, Roboute Guilliman Primarch of the Ultramarines and Lord Commander Of the Imperium. And Rogal Dorn, Primarch of the Imperial Fists and Praetorian Of Terra.” The Emperor introduced himself as his sons.

"Now that we are all here and introductions are over. We will begin the discussions starting with what our original purpose for coming here is. Empress Seki the First of the Mauhasinian Empire, we of the Imperium wish for a true peace treaty and ways to end this bad blood between our two nations before war is inevitable. I trust we can come to an agreement at the end of things.” The Emperor stated as he wished to get negotiations underway while people simply indulged in food And drink. Of course they did not need to eat for the moment so none of the Imperials were partaking in any of the food. They all seemed to be serious, as expected of a nation embroiled in never ending war against hostile Xenos species.

This was the start of this massive meeting, and who knows how long everyone would be there.

Shimizu quietly leaned back in his chair, folding his hands on the table as he listened to everyone before them. He didn't say much else besides his introduction; brows furrowing at Tetris' comment though. It seemed pleasant enough.

However it seemed that Seki was the one that got the most of a reaction from the Taiyou Emperor, as he leaned forward he simply offered a soft smile.

"I assure you, If my intentions were less than peaceful... The Taiyou Empire is a mighty force to be reckoned with. Entire galactic sectors have bent their knee in fealty at the mere mention of our arrival. Our army is unstoppable, and our Navy is without equal..." Shimizu cast his glance to Thrawn, and then back to Seki.

"If my intentions were less than noble, why dispense with the pleasentries? I would have simply conquered your worlds."

After a brief pause, Shimizu returned to the conversation at hand.

"Nevertheless... this galaxy has been rife with war for as long as I can remember." Shimizu commented, before turning his attention to Thrawn for the briefest of moments.

Aeka too shifted, but her gaze was affixed to Kinara, she sensed something strange about the woman, and Aeka's eyes narrowed slightly behind the dark purple visor that obscured them, psychic energy welling up from within the woman, a rolling boil that was quickly turned down into a simmer, a distinct disturbance in psionic aura fluttered around the Taiyou Princess.

But it quickly dissipated, as the woman shifted her weight from one foot, to the next.

"As the Lord Sovereign of the sole remaining superpower in this galaxy." Prince said, casting an intense glare to Shimizu. "The United Aschen Empire supports the Imperium's of Man's desire to sue for peace, we know the terrible scourge that war can bring to our doorsteps, and we have tirelessly striven to ensure that war never reaches our worlds."

Clearing his throat. "Our... Taiyou and Terran compatriots in this room, would do well to remember this indisputable fact." Prince commented, before glancing briefly to Tetris.

"The United Aschen Empire is open to new friendships, as well as strengthening existing alliances. So long as the terms can be found amicable by our august Quorum."

Prince seemed to look directly at Tetris when he mentioned strengthening existing alliances, what he was considering at the moment was a mystery, even Kesslee stood like a statue, dead silent behind him. Shimizu too appeared to be briefly, but distinctly uncomfortable, Shimizu appeared deep in thought, plotting something.

Tet'ris, upon noticing Prince's gaze and Shimizu's momentary break in confidence, gave Prince a head tilt in response. She said nothing, however, preferring to not to give anything away. She instead decided to take in the conversation about to occur between the Imperium and the Mauhasinians, neither of whom she was viewing particularly highly at the moment. This exchange was sure to color her opinion of each based on what she witnessed.

Kyritha said something to Seki in Mauhasinian and Seki gave her a nod. Kyritha stepped forward and looked at those gathered the humans most of all. Then she spoke. "I had been wondering what it would be like to meet other powers and other humans ever since her Holiness told me of this meeting... As I am now here I am reminded of a story my mother once told me... It goes that a man walked up a tall mountain with his pride. With every step his pride told him how strong he was and to take one more step to prove it. Step after step he walked his pride in his ear until at last he reached the top overlooking a cliff. Again his pride spoke telling him he was strong take another step. The man listened to his pride and his foot hit nothing but air.... Down... down he fell His pride had lead him to his doom..."

Kyritha paused looking at everyone. "We are all of us standing on a cliff..."

Kinara's attempt to reach out would prove to be an unexpected result, to say the least. Although she would likely be able to sense a general feeling towards an aura of desiring peace and safety, ultimately it was as if his thoughts, his mind, his essence was being shielded from such probing. It was not so much protecting the fact he desired peace though, but rather the general information he carried about Origin, his plans, his ways of negotiation and diplomacy. She herself was not being blocked specifically, nor was what she was going for however.

And so, Alexandrius began to form his own opinions. First was of Thrawn, who appeared to be well spoken and polite. A plus for his diplomatic repitroire, it seemed he had already started the negotiations, as well as many others. Of course, the "official" talks had not started yet, but anyone with an inkling of diplomacy knows that all talks are official talks, all words can be used, all body language read. Thrawn was proving to be interesting, intelligent, and considering the opinions of others. Alex judged that he would be one of the biggest pushers of his agenda, and had the demeanor to get things done as the man in question introduced himself. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Grand Admiral Thrawn".

And then, there were the others. The Emperor did not name himself, and only refered to himself as The Emperor of the Imperium. A play to make people use his title, call him Emperor when they were all equals? Or did he give up his name when he took the throne? Something to consider, but it appeared he was going to be more direct, as he went straight to bringing up the start of the diplomatic talks. Alexandrius really was not sure what to lean towards his diplomatic skill, as it remained neutral at the moment to him. However, his directness was a bit refreshing, so that would certainly not be ignored either. That said, he was also willing to sit down from across his long time enemy and talk about peace, so that was good as well.

Then came the Emperor of the Taiyou, Shimizu, which was...alarming. Bragging, showboating, basically saying he could crush everyone? Already, Alexandrius and any good diplomat would be able to tell he already lost huge diplomatic capital for this peace talks, and was probably in the lowest position of power now as a result. After all, no one would give him much if any leeway after making threats like that.

There was also was the Aschen. He also issued a subtle threat, claiming they were the sole remaining superpower, which was also very much not true from what he knew. Between The Continuum and others, there were quite a few. However, he managed to redeem some political capital in ALexandrius' eyes by mentioning his knowledge of the ravages of war, and showing relatability for the desire for peace.

Tet'ris, of the Continuum, did not really speak up at this moment, but Alexandrius found that to speak volumes as well. She was waiting for others to speak, to learn more and form opinions of them, before she made her move. Someone careful and cautious, he respected that, but was also wary of it. When she spoke, her voice would likely carry much weight and could shift the entire conversation if done right.

And then there was his already longtime ally and friend of Origin, Seki, as well as her companion. He very much enjoyed the poetic way she said things, showing her intent through elegance and grace. A warning about pride, and a lesson in modesty. A very good opening in his opinion, and he geuninely admitted so. "That was quite beautiful, and quite insightful. Thank you for sharing with us that wisdom".

"Now, I must admit, the Imperium does make a good point in that we should start the diplomatic talks" Alexandrius then said gracefully. "We should begin the peace talks. The first matter of which, I think going over trade agreements and protections should be the first we cover, or perhaps agreements over the protection and assurances of independence for the independent and refugee status worlds".

And now, Alexandrius had made his own small suggestion, trade agreements. But this was no random suggestion. If trade agreements were to be established first in these diplomatic talks, if the various empires and worlds were to be linked, they would be far less likely to be wiling to attack and threaten each other. After all, if they get gains and benefits by peacefully existing with each other, then they would be far less likely to go to war with each other. Of course, he was only giving a suggestion, making sure not to sound like he was imposing his will. But he had also slipped in an alternative option mentioned, making it appear there were more options. And that option was the guarentee that all members of this treaty would respect, not impose on, and give freedom to worlds marked as "Independent" or "Refugee" worlds.

He was already on the move, both waiting patiently, and trying to help the talks flow towards topics that would help result in peace. Not imposing, not leading the others, but simply bringing up ideas, points, that any nation would want to discuss, and also ensure that they leaned towards peace in the end.

  1. No real dialogue, no change in diplomatic capital. But the polite nod has been noted as a minor positive at least.

The introductions continue, and everyone is seated. Before Silence can set in, the Mauhasinian representatives give an analogy that she believes to apply to everyone in the room. She is wrong. While what she said could be applied to the Aschen and Taiyou Empires for certain, the same cannot be said for Thrawn. The Chiss has brought little to the table, and therefore cannot stand on the edge of this proverbial cliff. The other factions, likewise, do not seem to be as conceited or outwardly confident as the Aschen and Taiyou. Regardless, tension in the room rises with her statement, and Thrawn narrows his eyes slightly to observe.

Thrawn inclined his head in a polite nod to the King of Origin when he gave a greeting to the Grand Admiral, and then folded his hands in a steeple as he leaned back into his seat, and allowed the proceedings of this meeting to start.

Kinara got what she was looking for from her little Force Probe of the King of Orgin, and then switched her focus to Aeka - there was something off about that woman. The Force flowed differently around her. She wasn't necessarily Force Sensitive... but perhaps she was close. Psychic? Maybe. Not wanting to trigger anything unwanted, Kinara held off on probing further, and allowed herself to even out within the Living Force.

Looking to Thrawn's note-book, she blinked. He'd already filled a page and a half with observations about those around him, and the meeting had hardly even been called to order. He was as incredible as he was a mystery. Worth the legends that circled him. She lowered the hand from her chin to let both arms lay across her chest in a neutral posture. The Clones around them remained eerily still aside from the subtle turning of their heads as they observed the room's goings on passively, and communicated silently between themselves.

  1. The part about Chaos might need a bit of discussion, but overall clearly stating resources and intentions gains diplomatic capital, and showing favor for Protected Refugee and Independent Worlds is getting diplomatic capital with Origin at least by some degree.

"It would be best to not say anything unnecessary during this meeting Crown Princess Kyritha Alterria. We are more than aware that there are those who pride themselves as a leader. However we should focus more on talking about more important issues such as Trade and call to not target any refugee planets during times of war. Father if you would.” Dorn spoke glancing a bit down due to his size over at the princess. He the simply looked away from the princess to stare ahead at the wall ahead of him like thief exhange never happened.

"I do agree with my son, I would recommend against anything that does not contribute to this meeting. With that said with the prospect of trade we of the Imperium are a nation that has been steeped with eternal war. We do not have the normal goods other nations would ask for us, we only deal with raw materials and manpower. Such common commodities such as food are not very desirable for any other nation however I am open to requests. As for refugee planets, I will agree partly to leave them alone. However I have one very important condition: we of the Imperium has made it our sworn duty to destroy all traces of Chaos and those that follow it. The followers of Chaos are a threat to every nation here wether it be of a planetary scale or a system wide scale. Their only goal is to drown the universe in eternal war and bloodshed for their damnable gods that revel on the slaughter of any of those in the material universe. As such my condition goes as follows: If for some reason a planet falls to Chaos on a refugee planet, I want the populace wiped out...Every last one of them. I will not allow Chaos to spread in the universe, as such this is my only request.” The Emperor stated.

"I will add onto this fact. If such a thing does happen do not try to save everyone. The corruption of Chaos spreads deep in the hearts of people. Even those who have the brightest of faith can easily become a vile servant of Chaos. So do not hesitate, young or old. All needs to be put to the torch unless you wish to damn more people. Please think it over.” Guilliman added onto what the Emperor said with the same stoic neutral expression shared between him, Dorn and the Emperor himself. Almost as if this subject did not even phase them slightly.

Shimizu cast the Alterrian Princess a strange look as she made her analogy, he considered his words before subtly furrowing his brows, and shifting in his seat.

"You're the ones standing on the proverbial cliff." Shimizu said off-handedly. "Regardless of what direction these talks go in, I stand to lose nothing, things will inevitably stay the same, and the Empire of the Rising Sun will continue to prosper." Shimizu said, raising his hand slightly, and an adjacent door opening up to reveal a well dressed geisha woman, her white makeup contrasting with her black ornamented hair, and red lipstick.

Her movements were graceful, fluid, and deliberate as she approached Shimizu. She was holding a tray with hot tea, steam wafting from it's spout.

The woman's bright colored, ornamented Kimono bore elegant floral patterns, accented with gold embroidery fluttered with her movements as she stooped ever slightly to place the teacup and saucer on the table in front of Shimizu. Delicately, she poured the green tea for her Emperor, and she offered a slight incline of her head as she pulled away, but was stopped abruptly. Shimizu had raised his hand to make another gesture.

The Geisha reached into her Obi and produced a small golden flattened box, flipping it open, she carefully pulled a single cigarette from the box, and placed it into Shimizu's mouth, she followed up by lighting the cigarette, allowing Shimizu to take a breath, cigarette smoke wafting from his mouth.

The Geisha woman bowed once more, and turned to leave with the same manner of grace as she entered.

The Taiyou Emperor leaned back into his chair.

"The Taiyou Empire holds no objection to the protection of refugee worlds, and independent worlds. In our home galaxy, we protect worlds that are too primitive to protect themselves through a binding law called the Underdeveloped Planets Preservation Pact. A Law which has allowed independent alien cultures to flourish free from foreign intervention." Shimizu explained, offering a smile, as he took another drag from his cigarette.

"On the subject of trade, what would those seated here, wish to trade? What commodities and goods would your esteemed nations benefit from?"

Clearing his throat, Prince spoke up to address the King of Origin.

"We hold no objection to the recognition of independent and refugee worlds. But the Emperor of Man brings up an interesting point. Worlds that flaunt their protected status to harbor terrorism, chaos, fugitives from justice, and enemies of the state must be held accountable in some fashion. For example..." Prince said as he leaned forward.

"An Admiral of the Imperial Aschen Navy has recently gone missing while touring your world, the protected status of your world has proven to be a thorn in our side as we consider how best to approach the matter, while preventing whomever kidnapped her from becoming aware that we were looking for her." Prince added. "My Government has been frustrated ever since her disappearance... How would we compel a government... say in a situation like this to comply? Especially if one refuses to comply. How do we compel a government to eliminate the Chaos Taint? How do we compel a government to hand over fugitives from justice? Or terrorist suspects? We oppose a blanket moratorium in this manner." Prince said flatly.

"Not only do I oppose it on an executive level, but even if this resolution were to pass the floor of the Quorum, it wouldn't be ratified."

When Shimizu began talking, Tet'ris notably paid attention, having had it regained from whatever in her notebook was distracting her just moments prior. Then the woman dressed in strange garb with her head almost entirely comparable to highly decorated artwork within certain Bonsiin segments of the Continuum entered. At first, this had the fox-like woman intrigued.

Then the service began.

Tet'ris scowled, adjusting her glasses. Just witnessing the event touched on much of her own nerves, and had incited something in her that was really making her anger noticeable to the others in the room. Somehow, it was clear that whatever the Geisha had done by entering, it notably upset Tet'ris in a way far beyond simple unease. Kinara would feel the sudden change, anger welling to the surface. In addition, Shimizu's pompous attitude and the pedestal he was placing himself on was almost enough to get her to respond bluntly. Fortunately for everyone, Prince spoke up with a notion she could not fully endorse, lest she paints targets.

A blanket 'more-at-ore-um' is needed to ensure refugee safety against civilizations who have abysmal records of playing nice. From what it sounds like, there are a few of those in this room despite me considering one a semi-reliable acquaintance. Trade and friendly relations won't be likely to persist so long as universal safe spaces do not exist in some minor fashion to prevent bullying interactions among those less capable of deterrence.

Adjusting her glasses once more, Tet'ris continued.

After all, those in this room that I reference; they all share the same traits, traits that are entirely against the type of grain required to forge peace and friendship with others short of forcing others into submissive and appeasing states or otherwise oppressive treaties.

Somehow, Tet'ris' anger did not subside, and it practically oozed out of her words and actions as she spoke. Her scowl never fully fixed itself either, even as she spoke of the refugee issue.

As to trades specifically, the Continuum only deals in even trades that can benefit both sides. We do not lack for anything, but may be open to anything you wish to offer. Treat as you wish to be treated.

Tet'ris never stood for this part of her speaking, but the level of annoyance oozing from her whole being was nonetheless quite readable, and Kinara could tell Tet'ris' thoughts had changed quite a bit. However, any attempt made to focus on the fox-like woman was met with a throbbing headache, nausea, or a seizure, as a frequent pulse pounded with a metronome-like regularity so precise that you could write a song to it. The effect was unnoticeable so long as no focus was placed upon Tet'ris.

#, as written by Ylanne
Throughout the proceedings, the second individual accompanying Taiyou Emperor Shimizu Takayama had been taking careful notes on his comm from where he stood discreetly in the back of the room. Little did either Shimizu or his sister Aeka know that despite ten years of unremarkable yet loyal service, the man they knew as Chihiro Saito, a minor aide within the Taiyou diplomatic corps, actually served another set of masters, far from Niihama's glittering skyline and the vast reaches of the Taiyou Empire. His messages, relayed through an intricate web of cloaked substations across the next several vectors of space, eventually reached a small, unassuming office within the Terran Intelligence Bureau's headquarters, from which, they would be delivered with encryption keys to the Intelligence Director's office and later to the office of Prime Minister Khayyam herself.

In short: things were not well, and they had little to do with the man's charge of the past decade. Rather than concerning the activities of the Takayama family, this time the subject of concern was one Mitth'raw'nuruodo, better known as Thrawn. "Chihiro" couldn't be certain one way or another, but he calculated a very strong possibility that regardless of the deference the delegation purporting to represent the Terran National Government had given the Chiss admiral, that those making decisions home on Terra would not approve and had not given their sanction to Thrawn's representations of diplomatic authority.

A short message received about ten minutes later, with the correct data signature, confirmed his suspicions.

Keep watching. T will face disciplinary action upon return home.

The Taiyou-appearing man waited but one second more before the message disappeared from his comm, neatly erasing all possible ways to trace it or even discover that a message had ever appeared on his comm in the first place. The TIB's cybersecurity deputy director had always done good work. But for now, he had a mission to complete.

Listening to everyone’s words, the King of Origin was able to discern a lot. Mainly, from what he understood, there existed the issue that always existed. Different cultures, different beliefs, different goals, clashing against another. However, it showed the rifts and challenges, and gave him a good idea of what to go for.

“Well good delegates of the Imperium” Alexandrius said, in a polite and friendly tone without seeming too friendly or suck up. “I think that we should take care to deal with dangerous pestilence for sure. However, we also cannot risk an entire population by false rumors and accusations either. If there is indeed a threat, it should be dealt with, but action should not be taken because someone claims something. An entire innocent population should not be oppressed or spied on because of the actions of a few. Worlds and their cultures should be allowed to flourish without fear”.

He looked towards the other delegates, making sure to look in everyone’s eyes as he spoke.

“And during times of war, people should have alternate places to seek refuge. If their worlds are burning, then rather then head to another home that is burning or overcrowded, they should have options. And no one should be bullied or strongarmed by a greater power into giving up their culture, their chance at being a beacon of hope”.

And then he looked back at the Imperium. “How is this then? Your ships would be allowed to assist in a galactic network of Chaos sensors that would be spread, with the data being visible and determined by all involved nations in this treaty, and you would be allowed to eliminate the Chaos before it reaches our worlds? In exchange, should it be allowed to escape your abilities, you would have to allow the owners a chance to deal with it first on their own worlds. It is their worlds anyways, so their responsibility. And you would help support and defend any Independent and Refugee worlds that need it, so that good innocent people have places to go away from the Chaos, or any other troubles that plague them”.

And then, he looked back at the tensions that seemed to be rising from the Taiyou's actions, at least with the Continuum, but thought that the introduction of Geishas would possibly also aggrivate the Imperium, who just warned against doing anything other then directly negotiating.

"And as for trade, perhaps this is a golden opportunity for the Imperium also. Since when you finally finish, and are no longer in war, you would already have a better economy set up for those times. A chance for you to get an early lead on that. And as trade benefits both nations, it could only be a good thing to build between both of you to help forge peace. And as the Continuum has said, equal trade that benefits both is best. However, what each person values and discards are different, based on their needs and desires. So then, Madam Tet'ris, to help ensure such trades, I would think it could only help us all if you assisted in the examination and assertation of each nations currency, values for common resources and products between us all, and help build a galactic trade standard of sorts".

In other words, he was basically thinking of making all the trade they would be doing simpler from the start, while making sure it was fair, and to the Continuumm's liking. After all, establishing what matters to each other, it would also help build common ground. They would understand each other better, and that would lead to becoming able to peacefully interact with each other. Of course, he doubted he would be able to get everything through on his own, but if he could get at least some things through, or get others on board, unite them through the ideas, then he reckoned they stood a great shot at building peace.

And then, the Aschen spoke. Alexandrius could not help but wonder why he would bring this up at this stage, but it could only be of help to his own goals, given the situation.

"Well now, that is strange...Arden, tell me. Have there been made any report, given any request, for aid up until right at this moment?"

Arden quickly looked through his notes, and then checked an almost idiotically heavily encrypted device. "No sir, it appears the Aschen never once reported it, requested an investigation, or went through the proper channels to request for their people to investigate".

"I see. Well then, I do not see why this would need to bring up forcing anyone to comply if one has not even made a request yet. Rather, unauthorized action on a sovreign world, without even so much as a heads up, for a matter like this? Generally speaking, its better to ask before doing such things, as it would show a serious lack of trust and ability to properly respect borders and governments".

Making sure he spoke politely and unaggressively, he even made sure to not even utter the word "you", which subconsciously can sometimes be associated with blame and negativity.

"In the first place, no government, especially of independent and refugee worlds, should ever be forced to comply with demands, especially when they are not given fairly and respectfully. Rather, requests should be made, diplomatic options taken. As for treaty enforcement, there are methods such as an increase in taxes and fines, embargoment of goods, things like that. But people should not be made to live in fear, and force and compelling is not what should be used. Instead, use gifts, diplomatic capital you have earned up, or such other ways to secure assistance for such matters. That is what has lead to countless wars and violence, and that is waht we are here to stop".

As Alexandrius turned to the Mauhasinians, Arden noticed for a moment a strange transmission, but rather then pursue what he might be unable to recover, as it was only a single one, he decided to focus on his main duties and look for anything more rash.

"As for what we can bring to trade, I do think that is a fair point to bring up. Surely, we all have our own naturally growing fruits and vegetables, sweets and delicacies in our nations, at least most of us should. Those would likely be valued a great deal in each other's nations. And it does not have to just be the trade of produced and manufactured goods. Raw resources, like steel, tungsten, and such. Games and entertainment. I can safely say that Origin can bring all of that to the table. But tell us, what have you thought about all this, as the one who kept silent the most so far?" Alexandrius questioned, leading the conversation to the Mauhasinians.

Beneath the seas of reality another being ever dutiful followed the gleaming Anathema. Myrkul's vein freed from its pedestal mountain in Genesis to travel. Infrastructure now enough there that the Way would not collapse should Myrkul leave. It concerned itself with the protection of the central node within Terra and the many structures that power tended to Humankind therein. Their many paths to travel could be recreated. If the buildings fell it would harm humankind a thing it could not allow. While not a paranoid creature it was a loyal one that concerned itself with such a meeting given those options. Once that it became aware of great powers aetherkind and nonhumankind near the Living Emperor.

Even seas of reality thus observed it did not see cause to enter from the still seas of the Immaterium on the way instead observes. Immense will within an angry red sea of violence turns to grey flaking to dust. A watch zone with a wrathful kind of Gellar field passed at peril. Daring demons and warp native creatures alike reduced to floating husks. Animus leaking from their eyes aggrieved by depersonalization as Myrkul subsumed then disincorporated their energies. This hollow though big as it was smaller as a speck of dust to the Immaterium as the dust here compared to itself. Little notice into the swirl from within as it was drowned out by endless psychic rage there. The material plane far more likely to sense its presence as it hid only from the Immaterium.

Thus it did nothing but watch for the Living Emperor to beckon or should his mighty flame to flicker. The titan overbeing a planetoid sized worm with four flare eyes hovering in absent reference if one came close enough. Entering reality would consume more of its wellspring than it cared to exert. Aware of the nature of such a treaty if not its specifics it had decorum. Myrkul's Vein would not surface to the system from its becalmed gyre within that hadal zone.

Kinara could sense the flaring of tempers and of psychic energies all around her, and with each flare, her head turned towards the source. First towards the Fox-like woman who seemed very upset at the words spoken and actions of the Geisha woman. Those Emerald eyes narrowed under the shadow of her hood. Next was the Psychic energies of the Taiyou woman near Shimizu. They were great, and powerful. Much stronger than Kinara was normally, without giving herself over to the Living Force, anyway. She would be one to watch for sure.

Thrawn's glowing red eyes soon found themselves focused on one of the lesser Taiyou men present. One whose eyes had been transfixed on the Chiss for longer than the average amount of time for someone who had never seen one before. The Taiyou has not taken his eyes off of Thrawn for some time. It is likely that he has simply zoned out. However; upon further analysis, it appears that the man is some sort of spy. For who, though, Thrawn does not know. It is apparent, however, that with this man's gaze, Thrawn was not at all the most welcome individual despite the neutral expression. The infra-red does not betray one's feelings.

Negotiations, on the other hand, have finally begun properly, and each leader is eager to push their agenda as is expected. For now, Thrawn remains silent in the way of negotiations, but does let out a small hum as he notices the movements and presence of the Geisha. This is a part of Taiyou Society that Thrawn was not familiar with, and would be studied with great interest.

Kinara likewise continued her observations. Idly, she looked back to Tet'ris, and very gently, reached out with the Force to try and gather a better idea of what was going on inside that head of hers. Upon doing so, however, she was met with extreme resistance, and immediately ceased, turning her head away and letting out a slow, deep breath as she breathed away the headache caused by reaching too far. Sighing, she returned her attention towards the Taiyou woman once more, the source of the great psychic power that was sensed earlier. What was her deal?

It didn’t surprise Seki in the least that the princess’ story and it’s meaning was lost on most of those gathered. She just listened on in silence as the others spoke.

Then Seki saw the painted woman come forth and serve this Rising scum as Seki had branded him in her mind. She was well trained and while such servants did not bother the Holy Emperess the lighting of the vile smoke stick did.

Kyritha noted the look of disgust that crossed the Holy Emperess’s face. She knew that the Mauhasinan People had long banned such things do to the vile smell that reeked double to the sensitive Mauhasinan nose. Also for the many health reasons.

Kyritha muttered something in Alterrian that would roughly translate as barbarians. Seki just nodded and moved away from the table and it’s new vileness. (She had yet to sit down.)

Origin’s king at least was wise and knew how to play this game. Mush better then her Seki had to admit to herself. When the King asked for her thoughts Seki was silent for the moment.

With a huff Seki spoke up. ”I can understand the concerns of terrorists and criminals hiding out on refugee worlds. Which is why no refugees will be allowed within Mauhasinan Empire space. That said to wipe out a whole planet because a of a few is outrageous by any standard. Though considering who brings up this idea it doesn’t surprise me. I mean when you invade peaceful colony worlds to get more land or attack a planet calling them heretics because they vote you out… You Imperium claim to be worried about this rumored Chaos yet instead of trying to make allies you make war with anyone not like you. You are the only Chaos we have seen in this Galaxy.”

Seki sighed. ”I came here to make peace… but with all the arrogance puffing out with each breath I wonder if that is even possible.”

It became noticeable that the Continuum leader Tet’ris was in a state of heightened emotions, clearly irritation by the sound of her voice after the servant women arrived to tend to Shimazu and some of the others guests. Clearly that struck a nerve but of course that was not of any importance besides tensing up their current situation as one of the leaders was now irritable.

However when it came to talk about refugee planets, Alexandrius the king of origin had proposed a system in place where they would keep systems in place to monitor Chaos activity in systems and they in return were free to intercept all Chaos targets when they appeared in real space to destroy. However if they failed they would have to leave it to the nation in question under attack.

This was a good proposal, this would be beneficial for all involved and more importantly they were free to roam around and destroy Chaos threats...And other hostile Xenos species that posed a threat. Of course their allies of the Myrkul had arrived at the meeting as well which was a good sign. “While we of the Imperium are open to refugees, many of our planets are rather hostile to life living on it.” The Emperor stated in advance and then the Imperials gathered heard Empress Seki speak, not only did she not want refugees she outright called them Chaos. This did not sit well with the Primarchs and the Emperor himself.

"With all due respect Empress Seki, do not compare us to the vile threat of Chaos. Have you seen your people infected with viral plagues? Civilians flayed alive and forced into perverse acts against their will? Entire worlds with waterfalls of blood and skulls impaled on spears? And entire populace’s becoming raving lunatics botching men women and children without a care in the world? While you may think us monsters we are far more human then those abominations. It is one thing to claim others arrogant but not knowing the truth makes you blind. We will be welcome to show you evidence...However we have others matters and that is of peace. What we do is fight for humanities survival...That includes protecting this universe from Chaotic incursion so it does not grow stronger in the material plane. That is all.” Dorn states firmly speaking the truth. And also not standing back while she insulted them by comparing them to their mortal enemy.

"While I will admit that we may have caused tensions between our empires. My Space Marines operate individually. They were simply following orders, however I will remind you that your forces fired the first shots and not my Space Marines. They were under orders to explore, and the Black Templar’s follow their Marshal. He decides what is best for the troops under his command. However that is behind us now, what we seek now is peace. We both will lose life needlessly if we do not agree to work things out between our nations. Now Empress Seki, let us not lose focus here. We do not need to throw insults at each other...We are certain to reach an agreement eventually. For the rest of you, we can discuss trading opportunities and other such things once we arrive at a conclusion between us of the Imperium and Empress Seki of the Mauhasinian Empire.” The Emperor stated.

Prince furrowed his brow, before he leaned back and whispered something to Kesslee. The Grand Confessor offered up a slight nod, before he tapped his communicator, sending a discreet, highly encrypted coded bitstream transmission up to the Gigashadow, which was forwarded back to Langara.

"Because we wouldn't trust your government to handle the situation correctly, being so rife with corruption, and bribery." Prince said, leaning back into his seat.

"Your incompetent administration would likely make no efforts, so we have contracted our own... local assistance." Prince huffed. "Don't worry, we haven't violated your world's sovereignty."

Briefly he turned to Kesslee, and finished his sentence with a quiet whisper.

"Yet."

Kesslee simply smiled.

"It is unlikely the Quorum will ratify any of this." Prince commented quietly to Kesslee, whom nodded quietly in agreement. "We have always taken what we want from others, our Military is unstoppable, our soldiers are equipped with weapons that outclass everyone seated at this table." The Emperor continued quietly to Kesslee.

"This entire meeting is a farce, a feeble attempt to band together and exterminate our people." Prince commented again, and Kesslee quietly nodded.

"But, these aliens will only see their own destruction." Prince added, discreetly producing a strange crystalline object, turning it over in his hands. A control crystal of Alteran design. Prince turned it over one, two, and then three times before pocketing it.

"The Aschen Empire recognizes no sovereignty above it's own, and unless given proper incentive; will respectfully decline to participate further in any resolutions formed here." Prince proclaimed.

"Mr. Kesslee." Prince said quietly. "Inform the Gigashadow that I intend to return. I shall be returning to Langara."

Nodding, Kesslee replied. "At once, Sire." Before he rose from his chair, and stepped outside to speak with the officer in charge.

--

"How disappointing." Shimizu replied ass he took another drag from his cigarette. But Tetris' change in demeanor was not lost on the Taiyou Emperor.

"Is there a problem?" The young Taiyou inquired.

The faint sound of bass permeated the room, growing louder and louder as moments rapidly passed. There was a commotion outside of the main room. Just as Kesslee opened the doors to depart, he would find a blue gelatinous being occupying the rest of the doorway.

"Shloo!" Glaorb jiggled a greeting. He had on his back, or what was probably his back, a large hot pink case of sorts. It loudly boomed foreign music. Behind him painted ladies scrambled to compose themselves, staff rushed to fill bizarre requests, and literally everyone tried to find where they put their earplugs. Glaorb jiggled in such a way that the backpack-speaker-thing ceased making 'music'. A tentacle-esque gelatin limb extended itself towards Prince, another one extending up to wave at the others, and yet another limb formed to simply waggle along in the air.

"Layt, yiss. But present!" He took in the energy of the room. Tense. Not good for business. He blobbed his way to an empty seat, swung the hot pink case onto the ground, and immediately began rummaging in it. They had intercepted a transmission regarding this peace and trade conference. It was encrypted, which meant little to Glaorbs people, as puzzles and patterns came second to music as Very Important.

Procuring a Forn-Pop, Glaorb happily began to ingest the treat. He popped it out of what must have been his mouth and waved it around, offering everyone else one as well. Not this one specifically, of course. There were plenty of fresh pops in the case. After all, what use was it to do business at a trade and peace conference if he didn't at least bring everyone a sample?

The Aschen have left. And with their exit, another being has entered. They appear with loud, bass-ridden music and speak with a distinct accent. The mood of the room has shifted again. Thrawn has nothing to bring to the table, and decides it is time to return to Terra.

Thrawn stands, and offers the room a cordial bow. "I will take my leave. Thank you for having me, it was... a pleasure to meet you all." he said, before turning to the new comer. "Forgive me for leaving abruptly. But i have other duties to attend to."

With that, Thrawn, Kinara, and the guards he brought with him, boarded their shuttle, amd returned to their ship, taking off for Terra.

Kesslee promptly returned to the meeting hall with a somewhat grave expression on his face, He briefly approached the Emperor and leaned forward to whisper something into Prince's ear.

"Sire; a reconnaissance fleet has made contact with hostiles in a nearby system." Kesslee reported, before he passed the Emperor a data-slate showing the engagement in the nearby EK-729 system.

"This region of space is close to this system; relatively speaking." Kesslee reported, inclining his head respectfully to Isambard. "The fleet there will hold until you've returned to Langara."

Offering a slight nod, Prince turned to Kesslee. "Have the Langaran fleet make the jump to the nearby system, I'll take the Gigashadow back to Langara, and meet with the Minister of Defense, and the Quorum to determine a course of action."

Rising from his seat, Prince looked to Tetris. "If you have any forces available, I need you to take them to the EK-729 system, and see if they can render assistance to the Aschen fleet there. It's currently under attack by unknown aliens. They have not given their intention, so we can only assume the worst." Prince said, turning to Shimizu.

The Taiyou Emperor simply shook his head.

"I'll see what I can spare in the sector."

"Grand Confessor, take command of the fleet. Render assistance to Admiral Nash, and beat back these Aliens."

The grand Confessor nodded, as Prince stood up, and the two of them headed out of the meeting room.

Tetris took in all the conversation and was about to have a say on the new arrivals before the Prince interrupted her. Hearing the request, she mentally contacted one of her advisors.

CT-8 Ais'aell'ss, did you receive that? Put out a missive of critical importance. I want CT-6 K'las'ga to lead a fleet in that direction. She will know what to do with the information from there. Forward all relevant info to her and make sure it is understood that this is a priority task on my orders directly.

Yes...understood CT-10...she shall be informed...I have already sent the missive through the appropriate channels...CT-8 Astragalus recommended 3000 ships and approved a deployment appropriate for the occasion...it shall be done, roger roger...!

With apologies concerning the matter, Tet'ris exited the meeting in a polite and amicable fashion. Emergencies called for such. With her entourage, she quickly hurried back onto her shuttle. From there, she returned to her ship, and the fleet itself would then leave the system as quickly as they were able to arrive to start.

Seki stared like a stone cold statue as she watched the Aschen and their allies rush out of the hall. Even the blue Terran left. Seki really didn't know why he even came.. spying most likely... She would have to ask her Terran contacts later about him...

Seki's face turned annoyed as the slime thing entered and was about to say something when Kyritha leaned over and whispered to her in Mauhasinan. ["Maybe... we should help them?"]

Seki turned a glare to Kyritha and shot back in Mauhasinan. ["Help the assholes that insult and threaten us? I think not...Let them burn..."]

Kyritha frowned. ["You know my people's..."] she started.

["Fine... but Send the legion...Should peace be made here I will consider sending in My people..."]

Kyritha knew that was the best she was going to get so she stepped out for a moment to contact one of her Knight-Commanders.

Seki sighed and looked back at the room and speaking in the common now asked. "Does anyone else have to go or shall we speak about the peace treaty between my people and the Imperium now?"

Glaorb sat quietly. He nudged the case. It began to glow, blinking multicolored every few seconds before softly pulsing purple. Wuth every purple pulse a forn pop materialized before all remaining occupants. Glaorb would observe. He would decide whether or not these nations were worthy of business with his people. Sure, they could get their product through suppliers. But not at the rates, or speed, they were able to offer. Certainly not the quality of product, either!
