Uriah Lessard's Story

The door to the shop would open and Uriah would saunter in. He only frequented this shop with his sister generally but recently he had been making excursions here alone. The past few trips he had found some interesting old gears and other things that many would deem uselessly broken. Uriah would buy the old trinkets and sell them at auction.

He looked up as he noticed Lucas and Vivian in the shop. He let out a small internal sigh, peace and quiet rummaging were surely off his to do list now.

"Lucas, Vivan, fancy meeting you here." Uriah said, he had been keeping these trips a secret though now clearly that cat was out of the bag.

Lucas spread his arms wide as he welcomed his older brother.

"AH! If it is not the prodigal son! Come 'last hope of the family' join us black stains of honor in our shopping trip. It sure is quite the surprise seeing you here, I would've imagined you had an important auction to attend since mother decided to voulenteer me for sitter duty."

Vivian had just placed the bunch of items she wanted on the counter and was about to say something to Lucas when Uriah's voice put a stop in her tracks. Immediately her mood darkened and she fell silent. Gritting her teeth, she handed the shop owner the money from her pocket, put all the items in bags and hid behind Lucas.

Uriah and her did not get along at all. The last spat ended up Vivian would not speak to Uriah, and as one could notice, she was still ignoring him. Placing her hands on Lucas' shoulders, she immediately began to push him towards the door, blocking her view of Uriah. But then again, Lucas was much bigger and stronger than she was, so her pushing him would only be a minor annoyance.

Uriah smiled to Lucas as he began friendly mockery. "Too many autions this week, The parties and swooning are not as fun as they look. I'd much rather be on out here in the stores looking for some rare find that mingling at an auction. Though thankfully tonight I think I am finally free of such engagements."

"So where are mother and father off to this time? Another month long vacation?" He asked, "I have not talked to mother since last week I was going to try to do some artifact hunting but where are you guys going?" He asked noting that Vivian seemed to be ignoring Uriah and wanting to leave, clearly she still wasn't over that last spat.

"The social gem grows exhausted of his fellow people? Quite interesting." Lucas thought aloud for all to hear. "Anyway, it is as you say, the Parentals are off on some grand excursion and won't be back for another day or two. I in the mean time have had the wonderful honor of being volunteered to watch our divine little sister."

He felt the aforementioned party begin to shove him towards the door.

"Oh dear, I'm sorry brother but it seems someone needs to be changed. Do enjoy your artifact expedition, you know where to find me should you run into anything that seems a bit, out of your field."

Vivian did not find that at all amusing. She stopped pushing Lucas towards the door and pulled up the hood of her hoodie over her head, stuffing her hands in her pockets and left without either one of them. The robot looked between Lucas and Uriah before quickly following Vivian on the street.

Her brothers were much older than her. And were guys. They could never understand the way Vivian ticked. Hardly anyone did. It's one of the reasons their parents home schooled her instead of sending her back to the esteemed private school. She ended up tormenting every single one of the other students at the age of 7 with the creations she made.

Uriah nodded to his brother, "I might find a few things I'll need to run by you." Uriah said. "As long as you don't blow them up again." Uriah said with what almost passed for a smirk.

He watched as Vivian took off out the door and he sighed. "She really does seem to hate me. Any idea where she's off to? I can help you track her down if you want." Uriah said as if he was already wondering if that wasn't the best idea. Going after Vivian while she was already mad at him might not boil over too well.
