Description
She is 5' 4" with ivory skin and long black hair going down to her mid back that shines like the precious stone, jet. She wears a laced black bodice with a silver trim, and a matching black skirt with long stalkings. On her arms she wears long fingerless laced dress gloves that go up to her mid bicep, also with silver trim. around her neck she wears a black choker with a single ruby in the center. She wears a single black bow in her hair. Her shoes are, of course, shiny black buckled shoes.
Personality
Timid in appearance, she lacks certain social skills. She doesn't get along well with others, always shunning them away, sometimes without meaning to. She is usually shy and sticks to herself, she prefers quiet places most times, yet she can be found in loud places such as clubs or even bars, the people she finds there often intrigue her along with the situations of others that she also enjoys watching.
Equipment
Two knives that are strapped to her hips by laces from her bodice. Her choker is actually the amulet that hides her from evil entities.
History
When she was just a small girl at the age of 8, her parents were butchered by demons. She escaped that night only to be hunted by them for several years. She was found by a kind hearted drifter who took her under his wing and taught her how to fend for herself through combat and scrounging, together they traveled for two years. She never told him of the demons that hunted her, and to this day she regrets that decision. After the demons found her again they tore apart the drifter in front of her eyes, she ran faster and longer than she ever had that night. After another year of wandering by herself, she came to an orphanage, this orphanage took her in and kept her as safe as possible. She lived there for a few short months before she was adopted by a wealthy family. She told her newfound parents of the demons that hunted her, she expected them to think her crazy. Instead they surprisingly believed her, and they gave her an amulet that would hide her from the demons. Unfortunately, these demons had human familiars who researched the girl's trail, and finding her adopted family, they tortured and interrogated them on the girl's whereabouts. Her family never told them anything, and died bravely. Now the girl is nigh unwilling to accept anyone into her life again, for fear that they too, will die at the hands of these demons.
So begins...
Vel Sarivosh's Story
Vel Sarivosh put a hand to her stomach, realizing she has not eaten since morning, "Yes, I would like to eat."
Vel Sarivosh chooses a small plate of unagi as well as a plate of particularly greasy chicken, with a decently sized piece of sourdough bread. She takes several moments deciding on what she will drink, and finally pours a cup of hot chai tea. She does all of this in silence, before taking a napkin from a dispenser to lay in her lap, "It is rude to stare." she states simplistically without looking at Bellum, and then begins eating.
"Why so interested in my food choice?" Vel asks before taking a large bite of sourdough bread after dipping it in the chicken grease.
Vel Sarivosh takes a long drink from her tea, upon noticing that Bellum was looking behind her she glances over her shoulder. Seeing the now ensuing fight and small orbs, she quickly turns back to her food. A look of worry quickly flashes across her face before almost immediately controlling her expression once more, "Oh no." she simply didn't know what else to say.
Vel Sarivosh picked at her chicken, "It isn't my favorite thing, no...but I can fight if necessary." she just stares at her plate.
Another faint smile grows upon Vel's face which she tries hiding with a bite of bread. After several moments of chewing and then swallowing she asks, "I wonder, do you sleep?"
Vel Sarivosh covered her ears to try and block out the shrieking noise the seemed to surround the entire bar, her eyes somewhat scrunched from the pain the noise was causing.
The setting changes from Gambit's Bar to Gambit's Hotel, 2nd Floor
Vel Sarivosh brushes snow and ice from her skirt, "I agree." she says as she lifts a corner of her skirt to pull a hotel key from inside her stocking. As if that's a normal everyday thing, she walks to a room door several paces down the hall and opens it using the key. She gestures with one hand inside the room, as if inviting Bellum to inspect the room.
"It isn't my room..." she states bluntly, finally finding a mini fridge and removing an orange juice, "Do you only think of fighting all of the time?" she asks with genuine curiosity.
Vel Sarivosh Sips from the orange juice, enjoying the flavor, "It seems to be very well stocked." she says before heading to the kitchen space to check the cabinets.
Vel Sarivosh stares back with an equally blank look, "...Well, what could one expect from an eternal being." the words more a statement rather than a question.
Vel Sarivosh registers actual surprise, the only emotion that she has fully shown all day, "...I guess even eternal beings need sleep after a few millenia of constant wars."
The setting changes from Gambit's Hotel, 2nd Floor to Dark Woods
A young girl with long black hair and dressed in a black bodice and skirt approaches the old corroded sign from the north, she stops to try and decipher the single word scrawled on the ancient wood.
