Verloren nodded once pulled into her lover's strong arms. "I sensed that you'd come." The woman mused, smiling up at the old drow once he had kissed her forehead. "How are you?" She asked him as she embraced him, falling silent whenever he kissed her.

Shuddering, Verloren leaned into entwining of lips before she took a seat across from Palithio, her husband. Even though the two had been wed almost a month back, the two seemed to love each other like an elderly couple but still keep that spark of newly wed fire. It was amazing to watch, but it could stir feelings of envy and perhaps desire. Unable to keep her eyes off of her husband's face, Verloren slid her right hand across the table in order to take his. "You seem to be troubled..." The sorceress observed, blinking curiously as she watched her husband's expression as she glanced from side to side just in case anyone were watching. Thankfully no one was.

"But go ahead and tell me what you have to say, I'm listening." She soon mused in a low tone, nodding whilst concealing a saddened expression as she seemed to sense that this news wasn't good. Perhaps just this once she could be mistaken...

No sooner than she had heard those words escape the drow's elf, the sorceress glanced away. How could she tell him now? Blinking a couple times she drug her feet into herself a little from beneath on the table, her lips twitching as she wanted to frown but didn't want to seem weak around her lover. "Palithio..." Was all she seemed able to sigh in a sad note, her eyes falling shut as she clenched his hand, her left balling up into a fist upon her left.

Within her breast her heart began to pound, emotions mixing like cereal being poured into a bowl. How could she tell him what she yearned to tell him before it was too late? "You're too strong to die...too good of a being...you shouldn't have such an ill fate...' whispered Verloren as she slowly opened her eyes. Unable to look at him as they would be filled with tears which were unlike the one's she had produced when he asked her to become his wife, the sorceress glanced away, gritting her teeth for a second. "Especially when you are to be a father..." She whispered, her voice almost inaudible as the music played in the background, but none-the-less it still carried a haunting chill that could make even a dead man shiver.

The sorceress slowly nodded her head when Palithio had asked if she was perhaps certain of this. "I am..." She whispered, biting her bottom lip in order to suppress the woe she felt at the moment despite such good news. "I wished you had never spoke of your fate...it hurts too much to bear." She confessed, glancing towards the elderly one as a single tear trickled down her cheek.

Her saddened expression at this point was heart breaking. "But I'm glad to know...now every moment spent with you is held precious to me...even though all are already." Verloren tried to say, licking her lips before drawing back slightly when the drow placed his dark, calloused hands on her cheeks. His flesh was too gentle to feel. Glancing away, the woman's eyes narrowed when asked how long she has been with child.

"It hasn't been long. I just found out recently when I was incredibly weak one morning and sick. I was unable to get out of bed and had a pounding headache. At first I thought it to be plague, but then I felt an odd feeling I had never felt before and somehow knew." She replied, feeling that she made herself appear to be weak when he had told her not to fret. It broke her heart even more. But none-the-less, the sorceress seemed to keep herself together as she locked eyes with her husband.

Slowly lifting a hand she placed it on his cheek and tried to smile whilst tears continued to trickle down her paling cheeks. It seemed that this eve was filled with one surprised after another. Just how perfect could this be?

Like every other day if she were here a bit more often like she used to, the sorceress entered the tavern. Acting as if nothing were the matter, she kept silent and closed the door behind her like any normal person would at this hour. With a blank expression about her features as she began forth with her lips slightly parted, she ran a hand up through her hair as a couple dark strands fell across her unusually fair face. The noise she was greeted by sounded a bit more welcoming than usual. Maybe it was because only a few people were in here this eve than the usual over crowded lot.

But this quietness put her on guard, especially with the girl clad in golden armor weeping in some big breasted woman's arms. Upon seeing such actions, Verloren paused in mid stride, her bi-colored optics fixating on the pair before she glanced away. Thin brows soon furrowed, a frown stretching across her light pink lips. Something was on her mind. But what could that something be?

Not wanting to attract attention from any of the other occupants of the bar scene, the sorceress exhaled a deep sigh before making her way towards a table. Having not feeling her best for the past couple of days, she kept silent and automatically went to rest her accursed eyes upon taking a seat. Resting her right elbow on the table, she leaned her cheek and part of her chin into the upraised palm and began to relax. Setting her left hand upon her lap, the sorceress's legs shifted beneath of her white thirteenth century gown as her legs crossed at the ankle. Allowing the noise to flood her ears, Verloren did her best to block it out with subtle thoughts until something or someone could rouse her from them.

Until then she loitered there at the table across from the fake hearth, minding her own business as her lips twitched from the right and then to the left, almost forming words that were unspoken. Some would assume this was magic of sorts. But no, it was nothing more than thoughts that could be blurted out without thinking at any moment within the hour. That was all.

"There is something that I don't understand...could it be why I came here?" Verloren pondered within her mind, her eyes slowly opening in a half lidded fashion. Frowning, she re-closed them once more and sighed through her nose. "The only times I ever came here were to either meet Palithio or to just get something in my system. Right now I should be sleeping but something about the moon roused me...could it be an omen?" Continued the sorceress's thoughts, her eyes shifting beneath of the lids as she bit onto her lower lip a little.

"Just why would I think it was an omen though?" She asked aloud in a low voice soon enough, her eyes snapping open as she sat up a little. Falling silent she wordlessly glanced from side to side before going to stand. After making an adjustment with her attire, the woman shrugged some of her almost knee length hair over her round shoulders before beginning towards the bar. Frowning, she soon slid upon a stool at the counter and glanced down at herself.

Placing her hands upon her lap she lowered her head a little. "An omen alright...yeah, sure. I think it's because of my anxiousness...' she thought, licking her lips as she awaited the barkeep to approach her. "Well, this is my first time with child...I should be anxious. Lots of things could go wrong but,-' "What'll it be, miss?" With a light gasp, Verloren lifted her head, her eyes snapping open.

There before her stood the barkeep with a cocked brow and a frown upon taking sight of her expression. "Hey uh, you okay? Did I startle you or anythin'?" Asked the middle aged man with concern, flinching back slightly as the woman shook her head. "No,' she replied, giving relief to the gentleman with a small chuckle. "Just a rough night that's all." She reassured, offering him a small smile as she placed her delicate hands on the counter top.

"Could you give me some lemon tea, please?" Verloren requested, her smile becoming an innocent one as the man chuckled. Giving her a nod he hung the towel he carried in his large hands, over his large shoulder and began to go fix her, her drink. "You want anything else?" He asked just in case, pausing in order to glance back at the maiden with an amused gaze in his dark eyes. "No, but thanks for asking." She murmured, nodding her head.

Since when was she always this polite?

When the tea arrived about fifteen minutes later, the sorceress and the barkeep exchanged small smiles before one continued about their way while the other began to rip open a pink packet of sugar and pour it into their tea. "I should go back home when I'm done with this...' She suggested after blowing over the surface of her brew before taking a sip. "Or take a stroll myself...seeing the flowers in bloom this early in the morning seems nice." She then thought, casting a glance back at the booth where the two women sat, overhearing their conversation by accident of course. Turning back around, Verloren took another sip of her tea before setting the piping hot mug down. Bowing her head a little she sighed and rubbed her hands together.

"Time sure does fly by pretty fast..." She thought, her eyes narrowing as she lifted her mug and went to take another sip of her tea. "I guess I'm just scared of what's to come..." She murmured aloud before taking a sip, setting the mug down after. "Something good..." The sorceress thought while wiping off her mouth on the sleeve of her gown before palming her face. "And something bad..."

After finishing off her tea within a matter of five minutes, Verloren set down her payment beside the empty glass and went to stand. Noticing the new arrival, she nodded to him in case he were to see her before she began towards the door. Like that she would be gone seeming almost as if she were never there from the start. Where she was going now was a mystery but the possibilities were simple. Either home or to the park to covet over the flowers blossoming underneath of the morning sun.
