Species: Homo chiroptera

Occupation: Master to all Chiropterans, Oldest.

Appearance: In his base form, Victor looks no different than any other human. Bipedal, four major limbs, two eyes, a nose, ears, etc. He has smooth, nearly flawless skin and a chiseled face; topped off with black stubble lining his jaw and forming a faint goatee around his mouth. He sports abstracted eyes of gray hue, and jet black hair. Victor can always seen wearing his signature leather coat which serves as an identifier and a means of concealing the heavy ink that decorates his arms.

When tapping into his powers, Victor is capable of shifting individual limbs or portions of his body, or the entirety. This causes him to take on a series of bat-like characteristics that range from more humanoid state, or a complete bat form. Unlike his descendants, Victor is capable of taking on a form that is a hybridization of his humanoid and bat state, which he takes on most often when in conflicts.

The door to the tavern swung open, and in stepped a new face. The rugged man moved with a confident stride, one hand swaying to and fro as he made his way to an empty seat. He made sure to quickly scan the interior of the establishment. The pungent scent of Vampire lingered under his nose, he smelled it for miles.. and in such an abundant number, how lucky was he? An entire city populated by vampires and other supernaturals. It was like a smorgasbord waiting to be devoured.

Unfortunately, he would have to wait. His main priority was creating more of his kind, he only had a small group of underlings at the moment. Though given the lethality of the species, it wouldn't take many to rid this place of vampires.

Victor chuckled to himself, and waved a waiter over to order himself a drink.The irony. vampires, the ones who were so used to preying on humans, will once again find themselves being hunted; though by something much more terrifying than the run-of-the-mill slayer.

Maurana's black dress dragged the floor behind her as her boots thumped on the floor as she made her way into the local Tavern. After the scene had died down out in the streets with the politicians of this independent town, she had decided that her dear friend Risika did not know of the witch she was hunting, and thought it best to start asking some of the locals to try and get a lead. It wouldn't be long before Mytri sent out scouts asking for updates. She needed to be ready to give one.

She did a slow scan of the room as she slowly roamed around it's borders. Most that sat within it's walls were vampyric, only a few were not. The others would be who Maurana questioned first. Witches of Roxxy's sort didn't truly socialize with vampires. If anyone actually knew anything of importance about the purple witch, she truly doubted it to be one of her kind.

She settled first on the site of a man who was finding his surrounding amusing, even though he sat by himself. This was curious, and enough for her to comment on. He wasn't human, though, this much she could sense.

Maurana stalked her way to the front of the man's table, and stopped abruptly mere inches from its' edge. She stood a tall dark figure before him, "I could use a good joke." She offered a twinge of a smile and she looked down her face at him.

"Okay then.. Why did the vampire break up with his girlfriend?" He paused for a few seconds, then proceeded to deliver the punchline. "Because she wasn't his type." Victor didn't even crack a smirk, he bore the same indifferent expression as ever. It was a terrible joke, though this was his intention.

Now that that painful introduction was over, Victor gestured one hand toward the chair in front of him. She obviously didn't know what he was, which is exactly what he wanted. The less her kind knew the better. That was their problem, vampires had a bad habit of informing others about their abilities and weaknesses; too flashy. Such pretentious creatures, he despised them; even more than he did during his time as a mortal. Little did they know, they were responsible for him being what he was today.

His eyes shifted over to the new arrival, his scent indicating that he was human. Well that's interesting.. He didn't expect to see a human this soon, seemed like things were unfolding in his favor.

Maurana's golden eyes went wide as she tilted her head, "I don't imagine that was the reason for the smile upon your face that I saw as I walked to your table."

As a blur, the woman took she seat indicated by the creature before her. "None the less, a very interesting attempt at my request." The woman waved the waiter away, as she was not interested in drinking from a glass.

"I'd offer my name, but I don't see the point, as I'm not from here, nor plan on staying that long. Tell me, do you live around these parts?" She was inquisitive, but demanding at the same time.

Victor shook his head in response to the woman's question. "Just got in town, heard this place isa safe haven for all creatures supernatural." His voice was raspy, with a noticeable southern drawl and non-rhotacism.

"Seems like'a nice place to settle down.." Victor nodded to the waiter in thanks when he sat his drink in front of him, taking the glass in his hand and raising it to his lips for a quick sip. The scotch slid down with ease, producing a cool sensation in his throat.

"Is there a reason why you're talking to me?" He was moving his hand in circles now, swirling the ice around inside the glass.

He had to admit, he was somewhat interested in knowing what she meant by 'business.' Sounded like the destruction of this town was on her list, what with leaving a cloud of dust in her wake and what not. A little dramatic for his taste, though he could work with it.

He actually liked this town. A fine selection of vampires to be preyed upon, and it was beautiful.

"Actually yes, there is."

She turned her head to make direct eye contact, "I'm looking for a young witch that has been known to lure vampires with her magic, play the prey to be bitten, and try to poison them with her blood. She has a very distinct look about her: her skin is a lavender color, with specks of white. Her magic is radiated electricity."

She arched both of her brows, "I'm seeking out anyone who might have seen or know her whereabouts."

Victor set the now empty glass of scotch on the table and folded his arms in front of his chest. The description sounded familiar, and he did remember hearing about the death of a few vampires recently.

"I suppose you want to find this witch to prevent any more of your people from being killed."

Well that's somewhat of a problem.. He couldn't have someone going around killing his food. "You plan on killing her if you find her?"

"One that has faded into legend.. not nearly as old as your kind, but much.. better." Born with more strength and less weaknesses, many considered it a blessing. He seemed to have sparked her interest, if only she knew what she were getting herself into..

Luckily for her, he had already ate quite a large meal before his arrival. Perhaps he would just turn her, or use her to get what he wanted. Only time would tell.

"Oh, simple, am I?" Her upper body heaved with a sense of humor, "I've been called many things, clever man, but simple has never been one of them. I'm presuming you are speaking of vampires in general? In which case, I should probably tell you now, I'm not a normal being of the night, my friend. There are other things that run through my blood as well different from your average being. As I know nothing of you, personally, I feel it might be safe to assume to run with a weaker species, one beneath myself."

Other things.. No wonder why she smelled slightly different from normal vampires, though he couldn't figure out what it was. "Yeah I meant vampires in general."

Victor took another sip of his scotch while keeping his eyes on the woman sitting across from him. He found her mildly amusing, perhaps he would keep this one alive. "And what are these other things of which you speak?" This would be the first hybrid he'd encountered since his awakening.

"You know, the world has changed so much since I last saw it. They have little compact devices that let you talk to anyone else regardless of distance, and vessels capable of traversing the stars." He could have never imagined that such things would exist.

A young, blue-haired man wearing a blue robe and grey pants walked into the tavern, and looked around. He would be accompanied by a scrawny girl in a tattered black dress. It would be fairly obvious the girl was not among the living, the boy however, was. As the young man scanned his violet eyes across the room he would notice a familiar person among the crowd. "Huh? Is that who I think it is?" he muttered, having spotted Jude.

The girl would shrug in response to the blue-haired young man. "We might as well go find out. He certainly looks like Jude." she said.

Maurana scoffed, "Other things that I don't disclose to strangers."

The woman couldn't pin what kind of creature this man was exactly, but she never made a practice of revealing her own nature to others unless physically provoked. A dark cloud swept over her golden eyes, "Unless of course, I intend to make a meal of you."

She listened to him go on about the New World, as she herself called it, not sure if it was awe or disgust that was soaking the statement. "Indeed it has. Once technology took off some 20 years ago, it's been ravaging the scene ever since." She would wait to ask the obvious question that seemed to be hovering between the two of them until it was certain this man's intent to know.

Victor chuckled while wagging his finger from side to side, "I'll have to warn you, trying to make a meal out of me would not end up well for you." Many had tried, making the fatal mistake of underestimating him and what he was capable of.

"You know, I never got your name." He said to her, "I'm Victor, Victor Krouse." He sat up in his seat and leaned over the table to shake her hand. Once their hands touched, she would find that his skin was much hotter than a normal human. His temperature was well over 110 degrees.

Maurana replied in her oh so serious manor, "I never play with my food." She wasn't sure how to take his statement, was he referring to a sort of strength he bears, or something magical similar to the nature of the witch she was currently hunting.

...Victor Krouse." He spoke his name, making this Maurana's first official introduction to a citizen of the modern supernatural society, Vankoryth Detente.

As she slowly glided her hand through the air towards his, she spoke, "Maurana, no surname." A slender hand wrapped around his, and the heat from his own hand tingled to the top of her wrist. Obviously not a vampire, she made the mental note.

Kindly, she retracted her limb, "And of what race do you belong, Victor Krouse?"

"Well I'm not sure if I can trust you with that information Maurana, there are many who would attempt to prevent the rebirth of my species if word got out that I was.. back in town." He leaned back into his chair, this time calling over the waiter for something new. Minutes after the order had been placed, the waiter returned to their table with a large pitcher of blood and two glasses.

"Thirsty?" Victor took the pitcher by the handle and poured its contents into the glasses. He then raised it to his lips, and took a long sip. How bland. Is this what they were accustomed to? There were much tastier creatures to be feasted on. Such as the Fairy, or Elf. He hadn't had Fairy in a long time, and Elf even longer. He didn't set it down just yet, instead allowing the remainder of the warm liquid drain into his mouth before putting the glass on the table.

"So, how old are you?" he was curious.
