Matriarchal society of herbivores that spread out through the empires due to an ecological catastrophe imposed upon them.

Description

GENERAL INFO

Full name: Vinculum Oculi
Alias/Nicknames: Vic
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Gardener/human Hybrid
Birth Date: 1528
Age: 22
Descendant(of): Oculi and Bvetin’s Dreamer
Job/Profession: Student of the force
Title: Progressive
Allegiance/Alignment/Clan(s): Matriarch Oculi and Prime Matriarch Bvetin

APPEARANCE

Height: 2.05m (6’8”)
Weight: 23.6 stone (150kg)
Build: Muscular
Eye Color: Black
Hair Color: None
Handedness: Ambidextrous
Skin Shade/Color: Coffee colored
Scars/Tattoos/Piercings: None
Description: Vinculum is an imposing figure of sinew and carbon-fiber plating embedded in his skin. The plates pulse and flex but serve as fairly good simple armor on their own. However they do not feel much and his sense of touch is muted. The skin between the plates is a darker grey and while less stiff is made of similar material. He has a partly human endoskeleton to go with the chitinous plate leaving his familiar human molars seen when opening his mouth. Vinculum lacks vocal cords however and only opens his mouth to eat or breathe. Though gardeners have a more arachnid population of eyes Vinculum has only two much like his human parentage. The whole of the head is encased in thick plating as are the shoulders and the back of his neck.

MENTALITY

Sexuality/Preference: Consciously pheromonal to his Matriarch, otherwise heterosexual by leave of Oculi
Sanity: Sane
Friends: Ale Niketas - Grey jedi, a number of small birds
Likes: Plants, water, training
Dislikes: Suffering Matriarchs, wastefulness, mistreated charges, his armor being soiled
Hobbies: Keeps seeds in his backpack gathered from his travel for planting wherever he goes.
Personality: While his lucid stoic nature makes him an instrument of learning Vinculum if suitably riled has the anger to befit a Matriarch’s righteous fury. While he will tend to the needs of false Matriarch he will not be abused. An attentive soul otherwise he tolerates isolation but prefers the company of others and doubly so the Matriarch.

EQUIPMENT

Weapons: curve hilted great lightsaber
Combat Attire: Vinculum has heavy spring-clamped armor designed not to come off easily by hand especially not small human ones. It is largely used only when he needs it. In general he wears a loose armorweave wrap around joints so it doesn’t interfere with burst movement.
Accessories: His backpack resembles a harness anchored around the legs and shoulders as Vinculum is usually on the move with his fairly prodigious jumping ability.

FIGHTING STYLE(S)

General/Preferred Style: Vinculum leverages the force to drive his unique muscular system to rapidly switch from a dual-handhold to powerful direct martial strikes then return to sword control. Doing so costs him his prodigious endurance for a time but results in a mixture of deflections and simultaneous counterstrikes interspersed with power attacks.
Hand-to-Hand: Dim Wa
Weapons Style: Shien / Djem So
Special Abilities/Affinities: Vinculum can maintain a low speed for an extremely long time from his gardnerian biology. He has an extremely high endurance if moving slowly so is unlikely to tire from combat unless extremely energetic. He can marathon across fairly long distances in a single day but will be starving at the end. Vinculum will never bleed out due to a fast-response circulatory valving though progressive wounds hurt him as much as anyone. As such, dismembered limbs will be viable for a fairly long time and can be reattached through force or conventional healing.

FORCE POWERS

Force Sensitive: Yes
Force Alignment: Grey Jedi
Major Powers: Force shield, Force Counter
Minor Powers: Force of will, Telekinesis, Absorb energy, hibernation trance
Abilities: Vinculum when meditating to sleep amplifies the strength of force users in the immediate area from his connection with Oculi

HISTORY

Relationship Status: Bonded to Matriarch Oculi, polyamorous only by given leave of Oculi. Cannot sire children with humans.
Family: The whole of the hive is his family. False Matriarch are his aunts. His sire is the dreamer of the high Matriarch Bvetin.
Known Languages: He knows basic which he transmits in the EM spectrum through ridges on his back and spine. He has no vocal cords. A transceiver built into his backpack provides for audible contact.
Personal History/Background: - As the gardener state was once tampered with by beings still largely unknown. They tampered with their biology to remove Gardener Matriarch sapience but a new placid Matriarch arose with a mutation to regulate the hive. She could bond with a human to keep kindled the mind that once tended to her children. This was found through an escaped prisoner that made their way from the corruptor’s ship to where Bvetin was held for destruction. Soon telekinetic bombardment and military force put other low matriarchs under her control long enough to free them of the shackles on their mind. This sacrifice rallied the species to drive foreigners from their planet but the ecosphere was grievously damaged from foreign presence. They found it rapidly difficult to sustain their ecology though the intense attentiveness of a whole species arrested its decline.

Nonetheless, they had difficulty sustaining their children with the food they could still grow. The Matriarchy agreed sending their children to gather resources was paramount to replenish their world. Traders soon came upon the planet devoid of its former hostile nature and made tense contact with the Matriarchy. Laborers were dispersed by contract to the traders and weapons purchased with raw minerals. They used these to train and arm their soldier caste to which they progressed with gusto. Many then spread further as mercenaries for hostile environments tithing a great deal back to their injured homeworld. Then mercenaries of worth returning to breed with the Matriarchy reported the exposure to Jedi and the force. Mercenaries were dispatched to interact with a force user to test their species. This effort tapped Ale Niketas, a grey Jedi, while candidates were found many lacked a certain refinement and inventiveness of mind. Oculi was later found by Ale to have some potential but was unsuited for the role. Hive Matriarch Bvetin opted to have High Matriarch Oculi make a child of the hives with her dreamer and once born sent him to Ale. As he found Vinculum worthy Ale set to training him. Vinculum learned a great deal but his training was cut short as Ale had to leave on to tend to other matters. Left to his own devices until Ale returned Vinculum left his home planet with the leave of High Matriarch Oculi to seek more training and experience to prove himself worthy of Oculi.

So begins...

Vinculum walked through the grasses for a long time since arriving on the planet. He needed further study of the force Oculi demanded diligence of her children. The flow was dimmer to him than to his master he thought. The rush away from grass crushed beneath his chitinous foot and the ebb and tide of the living grass around him. It was peaceful marked with footfalls of panic. A disturbance in the swell of grass brought his attention another nonhuman creature similar to himself.

The steady even footfalls of three days continuous travel changed direction to intersect with Acamar in the town square. Vinculum paid no attention to any others that may be in town.

Aryell stood in the city center at a market vendor when Vinculum lumbered into the town. she stared at him out of the corner of her eye. she felt something off about him though she couldn't tell what. though her curiosity got the best of her, she was still cautious as she walked around him about 10 feet out.

then out of nowhere a pickpocket took her coin purse and ran down the street. she took three steps and decided to not risk chasing him into a dark ally. she force lifted the spilled objects from her food bag and picked it up. walking right into Vinculum.

she stepped back carefully and apologized.

Vinculum looked at the matriarch moving around him by the prickling wake he felt her leave in the force. His full black eyes gave him the look of piercing holes as he turned once to eye her turning his head just slightly. He couldn't feel the other anymore and stopped to look. Then the False Matriarch's possessions were taken by some unruly child leaving the False Matriarch to crash into him while collecting her things. She required defense?

Vinculum's voice was a deep continuous satin without the limitations of a speaking voice. His actual breath was a smooth hot wind from his continuous breathing system and smelled of petrichor from a fresh rain. Vinculum's chest gave slightly but it was still a hard leathery surface covering muscles underneath.

Transmitted by radio from spines along his back it came by way of a receiver with a speaker on his shoulder, "Greetings, False Matriarch, do you need your property recovered?"

Aryell tried to hide her fear with a smile, "No. If someone is desperate enough to steal from a jedi they must really need it more then I do."

she looked around and tried to figure out what to do. "False Matriarch?" she murmured under her breath. she stood there for a good while thinking about it then it finally hit her in the face. "Are you a Force user?"

she pulled out a small green crystal from a side pocket and held it out to him, "if you are, do you know what this is?"

Muscles relax under armor plating as Oculi looks off in the direction the child went. He considers the False Matriarch's just decision in a wistful voice, "I see. It is good to see a False Matriarch that justly cares for all children. Even the unworthy."

Oculi turns back to the False Matriarch, "I am still learning the ways of the force for Matriarch Oculi. She birthed me to be trained by a nongardener. Others call him a grey Jedi. He is absent so I wander."

The dark grey skin of his hands was as smooth as his voice as he used two fingers gingerly against her hand to stabilize it. Huge musles on his frame tensed to move him down closer to the small Matriarch two heads shorter than himself. He remarkes curiously, "Is it a lightsaber crystal perhaps? I am given the task to learn, False Matriarch."

"I see. It is good to see a False Matriarch that justly cares for all children. Even the unworthy." Oculi says.

Aryell looked at the ground and kicked a rock. then looked back up at Oculi, She got Curious When another Jedi was mention but she didn't feel like being rude and interrupting something that could break her in half.

"Why do you keep calling me False Matriarch? I haven't implied I'm apart of anything? have I?" she replied, with a slight tilt in her head.

"Also there is only one other jedi in this universe that I know of. and I am looking for her."

Vinculum turns his black eyes at the False Matriarch, "You are a Matriarch, but not mine, and without the leave of Oculi for breeding. Therefore you are False. It our best translation from mindform of your status not your honor."

His deep voice rumbled on, "We couldn't find any other Jedi either. High Matriarch Bvetin returned my master to a place of his choosing. I hope to see him again but Bvetin isn't sure where he drew his point of emergence."

A waxen cuticle gave chemical resistance leaving a supple feel when offering with his smooth leathery hand, "I will assist you looking for this other Jedi that is your will, False Matriarch. The Imperial lines see no just reason to distinguish between non-gardener False Matriarchs and our own. It is the purpose of the Imperial breed like myself to protect Matriarchs that are just."

she looked up at Oculi, "Please, then just call me Aryell" she said softly with a yawn. she looked at the time. "well two force users is usually better then one. I have a ship near by if you need a place to sleep. I was heading in that direction. she walked off towards the ship port.

"What did you mean by imperial breed?" she asked curiously, "and why do you want to help me? I mean for all you know I could be a sith luring you into a trap." she said with a little more suspicion.

she entered the password to remote start the ship as the gangplank dropped as she crawled inside the interreor was filled with a small kitchen a crew quarters. a small captian's quarters cargo bay and a pilot's cabin. all in all is was big enough to comfort most creatures, (think a little bigger then the falcon by interior).

Vinculum nodded at Aryell, "It is good to meet you then, Aryell. I could use a place to sleep after walking for three days here. Thank you for allowing me into your home. I am an imperial we are transformed in eggs from lessers with more time and attention from the Matriarch. Though I was born as one."

His arms glow with a force shield his muscles taut as Vinculum makes fist, "We ensure the safety of the Matriarchy that is our purpose. We also serve the Matriarchy as the breedstock of our caste but you do not have leave of Matriarch Oculi."

"We trust the Matriarchy that seems like it is just or if with cause to believe it is still so." He continued as they walked, "If you proved yourself unjust that it could not be forgiven then either I will kill you or you will kill me. It is as it should be."

When they came to the ship he bent down to scale the gangplank hitting his backpack on the bottom of the ship. He tried to stand but hit his plated head with a loud clonk on a beam. It didn't phase him but managed a stooped posture to remove his backpack. Now protected the bony plates on his head sloughed backward the leathery face protection retracting down below his jawline. It revealed a dusky-colored human face with flat-black eyes. The Matriarchy revered the face of High Matriarch Bvetin's dreamer and took pains to ensure Vinculum had a human face appropriate of his sire. It was strong and symmetrical as the Imperial egg from within which he was shaped was their marble to carve. Though he clearly had a human mouth his throat was very Gardener.

He looked at the kitchen as the speaker on the floor duly vocalized his face stock still, "What do you eat here, Aryell? I cannot eat meat the Dreamer of High Matriarch Bvetin prefers."

Along a the dusty streets a figure walked slowly as he had for several days. Vinculum followed the path laid before him through the force as his former master once taught him. Long days in deep wastelands of his homeworld with fragile islands of greenery. High Matriarch Bvetin slowly helped Oculi put their lands back together as Master Ale trained Vinculum in new nodes of growth throughout their world. He'd learned that the force came in fleeting dances across his vision. Small quick bursts caressing the inside of his legs under thick carapace. The pulsing churn of life running past his feet. So that river was what he followed an inexorable boulder rolling along the force to his destination.

It stopped at a door to this bar a swirling pool in front of the door. So this is where the path ends. Then here he learns for Oculi he supposes. A heavy figure clad only in hard organic plates pushes open the door looking around the bar. Two black eyes looked carefully around the room Matriarch Oculi's own awareness a constellation orbiting behind those dark pools.

As Sadr stepped away and proceeded to walk towards the bathroom, he thought he heard something...a whisper of some kind. He turned back towards the table he had been sitting at...towards Vir. Her eyes seemed distant and longing. Was it her that whispered? His golden eyes turned away as he cursed himself inwardly for thinking such a stupid thing. Of course not! he told himself, She's all the way across the bar! How could you have heard a whisper from such a distance with all this noise going on?

He pushed the bathroom door open and proceeded to head immediately towards the sink. Taking a deep breath as he turned the faucet on (making sure the setting was on cold) and splashed his face repeatedly, he told himself that he couldn't do it. No matter what Master Siya said. No matter what Vir wanted. It put him in danger of being found and, more importantly, being associated with the Jedi Council. And even if Tuyer was true to his word, what good would it do? The Jedi were weak, anyway. They didn't know what they were up against. The Sith was much more powerful than they realized-

All of a sudden, he felt it...a shudder in the Force. An overwhelming aura that swallowed the air around him as it spoke, "I have seen empires rise and fall..."

Sadr wasn't sure how to react at first. He was confused as to what was trying to get in touch with him. Normally, he could blot it out, but this ability magnified twenty times over his own...and likely then some. He could feel it's weight bearing into him...trying to tell him something. However, he wasn't taken completely over by awe. He was still able to think rationally as his mind narrowed in on an objective.

Use the Force. Pinpoint an origin as to where this is coming from. Find whoever is speaking to you...

He closed his eyes and stepped away from the sink, the water continuing to run. He began to try and feel the energy around him...letting the Force guide him. He even sent a message back, just to see if he would get a response. "Who are you? Where are you?

The answer was even more cryptic: "I have always loved the stars..."

Okay, well that wasn't straightforward. But it sounded closer...it felt closer. Each step he took in the bathroom felt like the air was getting thicker and the power was magnified. The voice even sounded closer. There was an origin point, Sadr realized, and it was in this bathroom. Onward he pressed, his senses tingling with wonder and mystery as to exactly what this was and why it reached out to him now. His foot grazed a cracked tile, the jagged surface seemingly gliding smoothly across his feet.

It was like a game of hot or cold that he could feel within his mind. And when he passed the second stall, he began to feel the energy slightly dissipate. Sadr steeled his mind and lasered his focus as he stood in front of the stall door, opening his eyes. Whatever this was, it was in there.

With a smooth exhale, Sadr pushed open the door and gazed within.

The raw energies of the Force washed over Sadr as he opened the stall, through cracks in the steel and hologprahic projections on the wall the force was leading him towards something thast glittered behind the hologram. But the voice didnt answer, not right away. "Everything will fall, Light and Dark, together..... It will be paid, in blood" The door t othe bathroom opened, but with the Force so raw in that room at that moment made for something else entirely.

Vir entered the bathroom unseen, And just in time too. As she did so she saw a hand fade into view, reaching forwards towards Sadr's exposed back. A hand slender, yet with the raw power of the Force Vir couldnt pinpoint how powerful the person before her reaching for Sadr was. At least until the woman appeared completely, staring Vir watched unseen by both as tthe white haired amber eyed woman reached forwards with a hand.

And right when her hand touched Sadr's cloak she was thrown back from the raw enerfgy as he found something, an ancient lightsaber ? Impossible! Slammed back without a sound the woman disappeared from view before Sadr could see or feel her presence, the hilt of a lightsaber glittered within the wall of the stall he stood within

And as he mneared it he saw briefrly, visions of the past. An ancient conflict, a powerful force storm, hordes of unfaced soldiers fighting to destroy a single planets inhabatants. Countless ships in space, The Sith Emperors face.... His son, and then later his daughter.... Finally the death of Valkorion at the hands of his own daughter, a white haired woman of some kind dressed in blood red with long white hair.

Long white hair, like Tuyer's own hair.....

As Sadr picked up the lightsaber the visions faded, the silver and black hilt was mostly generic, but he could see clearly that it was a saberstaff. Did it still have its crystal ? Did the lightsaber call out to him ? Vir stood in the door way, holding it shut with her unseen weight. This was interesting.

Again the woman made her move, This time to try and grab the lightsaber, only once again she was flung back before he could turn and see her, quickly hiding in another stall Sony watched and waited. That lightsaber, the Sitrh could feel the raw power in it, the raw energies that forged it into what it is, into what it was.

Outside in the bar proper Tuyer took a sip of a Alderaanian wine brought to him. He spotted the new comer and felt the Force from him briefly, and somewhat faint, ah, one of the Hive Minds ? They had force sensitivety ? Most interesting

Vinculum's surface smoked faintly as his head darted in place the force giving speed in place to the alert burly body. Vinculum felt the tides of the force smashing around the rocks of surely planted bare feet. Gardeners were one bonded to their blasted limping land the force held him to earth every footstep. Vinculum made his way across the room stopping to sense where the intense activity remained. The sheer smashing energy released confused him. He wasn't yet prepared to hear things that might be worthy of a Matriarch's understanding. Still any guardian of the Matriarchy knew the telltale shadow of a locust in the garden. Something hid from sight a shadow dancing around his head among the spray but his sense of the force couldn't lay a direction on it quite yet.

One rock spied another causing eddies in the tide as Vinculum's head darted left, staring at Tuyer, thumping closer to the man. His movement was ponderous but smooth a muscled neck looked askance at Tuyer. Though Vinculum had a feeling that this energy was from elsewhere he spoke nonetheless Gardeners as hypersocial creatures were not an distant people. Deep pitched rumbling voice came from a quietus transceiver on his shoulder as Gardeners had no voice, "There is something wrong but you are in the garden and steady among the flood. Curious, I wonder. Still, among the garden I hear a locust."

It was like walking into a nuclear explosion of Force activity. Through every wisp of air and every occupied space, it moved. Sadr moved with it as it drew him forward, letting it wrap around him and envelope his mind. He couldn't sense beyond this immense measure of the Force as it acted like a barrier as much as it did a guide, though to what remained to be revealed. As he walked forward, he could see the visions.

The war...the powerful force storm...thousands of soldiers, without face, slaughtering the millions of lives on a single planet. Their cried could be heard faintly through the Force. And then the faces. Three of them, all with a legacy to their names and the power to back it up. The Sith Emperor and his spawns. He couldn't quite place it, but he felt a link between these faces and someone in the distant confines of his memory. He wasn't sure what this link was attached to, but it was like a strong chord vibrating within him, giving him a clue or telling him a warning.

"Everything will fall, Light and Dark, together..... It will be paid, in blood"

Something glittered in front of him. Something behind the hologram. Though it should've been, Sadr's hand wasn't shaking as he reached out to grasp it, clutching it and bringing it towards him to examine. It was a saberstaff, he realized. A dual-pronged lightsaber, simplistic in design and smooth to the touch. And it fit in his hands well.

But why? he wondered. Why did the Force guide me towards this blade? What secrets did it carry? He was half tempted to activate the saber here, but chose against it, feeling the confined space he was in. The walls would likely sustain some property damage if he did.

So he pocketed it, clasping it to his belt hidden underneath his cloak as he took one last look around to make sure nothing else was there before making his way out of the bathroom stall, more questions than answers on his mind.

Out of nowhere a voice rang in Sadr's head, it echoed through the Force, it was as if the Lightsaber was a Force Nexus. The lightsaber Deiyi had poured most of herself, her blood, sweat and tears into making, yet when used it looked as if the blade was to come part from overheating or something, pieces of it floated off the blade a few centimeters, making the blade have a fractured bronze core, almost as if it were afire.

It didnt matter, much at that point yet trhe voice, out of nowhere yet echoing through the Force "Sadr! Drop!" WHAM Something hit the stall door as he opened the thing, denting it and nearly nailing him in the face had that not occured. Vir chose that moment to let herself get seen as she dove for Sadr to get him out of the reach of the suddenly actrive vibrosword cutting out of the stall wall.

Once back to safety in the more open area of the mensroom however Sony just up and launched the stall door like a shot and threw a ball of lightning towards both Vir and her target. Vir dove forwards, twisting as she did, her back to Sony, the lighting lanced into her, searing her flesh, yet, she never winced, her back was burnt under her armor though that was for sure. "Go! Hurry" She hissed to Sadr before activating her Forcesaber and turning towards the unknown whitehaired assailant

But this assailant looked strangely familar, the vision! Impossible! This strange clearly female creature going after... him ? And now Vir coming to his rescue ?? Ok something was wrong here.... Very wrong here.... The blade he'd picked up seemed to want to fight. Want to defend Vir who was clashing skillfully with the dualvibrosword the strange whitehaired woman carried and used with deadly skill.

In the wating area of the Cantina however Tuyer was quiet and thoughtful, when Vin spoke he smiled, a Jedi spoke in strange ways. "And when the garden is disturbed, either go with the disturbance, or move to intercept before further damage is doine can be possible. Move as well to improve a relation with another, be it friend or possible enemy" He mused, "Unless of course it is an enemy and not a friend in any manner wherein it would then be prudcent to defend one self"

Vinculum observed Tuyer the slow placid feel of him much like his missing teacher. Then looked toward the bathroom the waded tide from that room pushing at his legs the speaker intoning placidly, "That which disturbs the garden must be dealt with but one must first observe a thing to call it a weed or locust. So says master Niketas. Defend my future with new flowers or defend my present quelling new weeds."

Vinculum pulled at the pack where his saber was held. Some part of it was missing and he'd not known what yet. With one look back he let go of it, "Even if one must do what is necessary by hand. We find in our barren land friends often last shorter than their enemies will wait."

The hulking figure's heavy movement quelled as Vinculum took hold of the river of the force pushing him ever forward. The slowness in his legs tensing as it went a slow progression of elasticity around heavy movement. The thin trigger plate of the heavy creature's force counter entered the door well before Vinculum's hand pushed at the bathroom door.

"Sadr! Drop!"

He didn't know much about the unseen figures that held voices in his head, but he knew enough to pay attention to them when they came calling. Sadr hit the deck.

WHAM!

And just in time too. No sooner had his right cheek brushed against the tile floor did a pointy stick-like gadget come tearing through it. Rolling to the left side and into the slightly more open space of the men's restroom, he placed his palms down, aiming to get up. He stopped when he felt wind rush across his back and a Forcesaber activate, halting the progression of the Vibrosword towards him. He didn't have to guess as to who that was as he pulled out his Sentinel Saber, twirled it in his hand, and activated it while he got onto his feet and surveyed the fight in front of him.

Lightning!

With enough skill and practice, he had come to learn how to block electricity bolts thanks to Feero. And this time was no different as Sadr held his lightsaber vertically in front of him. The yellow blade absorbed most of the lightning ball, the remnants shooting past Sadr's head and carving itself into the wall behind him. A small bit of it struck the tip of his ear and left a small burn there. Sadr wouldn't notice.

He saw Vir holding her own against the Vibrosword user as the Forcesaber hissed and shrieked with every block made. "Go! Hurry!" she had called to Sadr.

But Sadr was frozen as his eyes rested on the Sith who wielded the Vibrosword...the one known as Sony. Not only was she reputable as one of the best trackers ever, she's known for her apparent brutality, her antagonistic nature, and her overall strength in the Force. She was also one of the most skilled combatants with a unique style that only her Vibrosword could give her. If her white hair wasn't chilling enough, her amber eyes could bore through any steel stare and penetrate the thoughts within, filling them with fear. She was a nightmare for Jedi and Sith to witness.

She was also the one he'd seen in his vision, the daughter to the Emperor and the likely heir to the throne. There was also that.

But why him? Why now?

So many emotions and thoughts ran through his head at once. The initial one was the lingering fear of Sony's reputation and the desire to get out of there while he still could. Then came the confusion of why Vir was there and why she was defending him from one of the most capable Siths she'd ever fought and likely will ever fight. Following that was the surge of energy that came from the lightsaber on his hilt, as if directing him towards the fight like it wanted to be wielded. And then the impending dread of what this altercation would amount to if it went on any longer.

Vir and Sadr dead. A trophy for Feero to mount on his ship. He couldn't let that happen. Not to him and especially not to Vir. She didn't deserve this.

But how?

He felt the vibration of the Force emanate again from the saberstaff he collected. He thought about it and immediately dismissed the idea. There simply wasn't enough room in here for five blades (2 Vibrosword, 2 Lightsaber, 1 Forcesaber) to swing around at free will. He also had no idea what the Saberstaff was packing and whether it was a reliable tool or not. Too much risk was involved to use it. He'd end up breaking something.

But an idea came to mind. An idea that might just work. He remembered reading something among the thousands of Holograms that plagued the entrance to the Dancing Mug...a few very important details that would definitely help him and Vir out.

And so he did the very last thing anyone with his skills and abilities might have done in his position. He sheathed the Sentinel Saber and beckoned to Vir.

"Vir! Put away your weapon and follow me!" Sadr called to Vir as he made his way towards the exit of the bathroom. "Trust me! I have a plan!"

And with that, Sadr pushed open the door, bumping into a burly figure in the process, and running out the door.

Forcesaber vs Vibrosword, speed vs speed. The calm yet clearly dangerous skill of the Force Hound put Sony on a brief uneven ground; it was unexpected for the Sith to have a Force Hound show up from out of nowhere and as such. It made Sony all the more angered as the Force Hound, a woman named Vir apparently, had skill enough to possibly best her. Even with the extra power granted by her black and pink crystals her vibrosword did little if any damage.

Finally Sony managed to knock aside the forcesaber and strike at the beskar armor on the woman, only to have her blade bounce off as Sony spun on her feet and spmacked hard at the unprotected back with the flat of her vibrosword against Vir with the Force added to the hit Vir went flying and smashed through a nearby stall before lunching a broken refresher unit at the Sith, Smashing into Sony's face leaving many cuts from the porcelan edges.

If her amber eyes were full of hate and ager before, they were now. Her hand went towards Sadr, another shot of Force Lightning was sent his way but it slamed into t he door and sparked madly. Now without her own weapon Sony turned her attention towards Vir who grabbed up her Forcesaber and was about to activated it when Sony tackled her, the two women briefly tussled, making a completely miss out of the bathroom before Vir laid flat on her back and launched Sony into the stalls before scrambling to her feet and bolting for freedom after Sadr.

Thankfully she saw her Master, Siya, still seated as if completely unmoved by what was happening around him. She bolted after Sadr, soon matching pace with him "Whats the plan ?" She asked under her breath as they ran from the bathroom, easily freerunning over tables and dodging other patrons in the strange bar.

At the bathroom, what was left of it at least. A young woman in red with white hair picked up her dropped Vibrosword and put it on her back, Looking briefly to the mirror she saw her face once more scarred with fresh cuts that bled freely. With an annoyed grunt she cast Dark Heal on herself and the cuts quickly faded. With a satisfied grunt she turned and stalked from the bathroom, using the force to knock open the door with a bang, she was given a confused look from a drunk before motioning him to the unisex bathroom and put a OUT OF ORDER sign on the mens bathroom before looking briefly then with her sesnes, at everything in the bar.

There!

She got on her commlink. "HK, two targets, heading your way, I want them both alive!" She said

"Confirmation; Certainly master. I shall perform not vital injuries only. Query; if attempts ot slay me occur, do I have authorises to carbonite the meatsacks ?"

"Yes, I want them both alive, do it!" Sony replied before briefly stopping and glancing towards Tuyer, the man simply smiled at her, she growled and gave him a rather insultiary sign with her arm before stalking from the bar, HK-55 could handle himself quite well

As Sadr left the bathroom and whumped into Vinculum's chest he felt Sadr less a locus than a waterfall the pouring wind falling off him as it was. The sheer distraction of him pouring out like a tide. He stepped once backward patiently pushing the wind out of his mind to watch for a tripped thread. Ale found Vinculum a ponderous soul but not a slow one. The anger in the force pushing everything away remained as Sadr went away. Another coming close with the predatory hunger of a locust. The moment crept by as the door opened the tall burly Gardener saying nothing but a thin wisp of heat as Vinculum reached for his Matriarch to help him stand in the moment. As Sony attended to her call her foot planted on Vinculum's web of attention a warm waft of breath pushed its way over Sony the smell of petrichor. Master Ale drilled the ponderous to be faster. Ever faster. When the student brought stability with the force to channel his power Ale was pleased when the deflection hit. Shortly after several feet away with a five-fingered bruise.

The force distended Vinculum's foot as shot back his body hasted and stable for just a moment to charge the trap's spring. As if kicked from behind by the ire of his Matriarch plated torso and fist smoked as muscles pulled at the force back to the stability from where it came. A force counter an overhead punch of hasted speed at the locust wandering into his personal space.

Sadr wanted to panick. He wanted to release his fear into the air as quickly as he could, hyperventilating all the way. He wanted to Force Blast the establishment, sending the Dancing Mug crashing to the ground and hopefully burying the Emperor's heir with it. Instead, he kept a calm and cool attitude as he kept a measured pace through the bar, passing patrons and the like in search for an opportunity. His movements were practiced and his stare was intense. He vaulted over a table and soon realized someone was right beside him. He turned and found relief instead of terror...it was just Vir.

"What's the plan?" she asked, a slight edge of apprehension in her voice.

Sadr took one glance around the bar...and found his opportunity. A man was sitting there, finishing the remnants of a substance in a glass bottle, while another man was sitting next to him, his attention towards some of the girls dancing on the holograms. It was clear they didn't know each other. Perfect. His agile sprint slowed to a standard walk as he and Vir approached the two of them. The first man had just set the bottle down on the counter, his attention turned to the bartender in hopes of ordering another. Now was the time.

"This," he murmured to Vir before picking up the empty bottle and smashing it over the head of the second man...the one watching the hologram gals. While the second man reacted, Sadr turned to the first man and said, "Hold this, please." He thrust the broken bottle into the man's hands before progressing through, motioning for Vir to follow. The sounds of protest and violence followed by a scuffle were enough to tell the Lost Sith that his plan was working.

Another one. Sadr thought as he approached a table of strangers playing a gambling game of some kind. With one swift movement, he kicked one of the legs out from under a rather large looking slug alien sitting at the table. He collapsed under the lack of support beneath him as Sadr turned to look at the man sitting next to him, a startled expression on his face.

"Why'd you do that for? I'm walking here!" he glared at the man as he lied, causing the slug-like creature to become enraged at the person to his right and launch a punch of his own.

"Bar fight!" someone shouted and the Dancing Mug erupted into chaos. Punches were flying. Kicks were landing. People were being flung across the establishment, destroying tables and chairs they happened to land on. All of the sake of violence, of course. After all, bar fights were common in the Dancing Mug and people loved to partake. A few of the patrons were leaving, not wanting to get mixed up with it and while the idea of leaving seemed like a good one, Sadr knew he couldn't without reuniting Vir with Tuyer.

"Behind the bar," he said urgently to Vir as he hopped into the bartender's area, slipping the drink master a generous dose of public credits to keep their anonymous stature safe before crouching in the small alcove of space hidden from most viewpoints and all exterior viewpoints. "Mask your energy."

Sadr followed his own instructions, as Force Concealment was one of his better methods of using the Force. He hoped Vir would do the same. Hopefully, Sony would assume they'd gone out during the chaos and leave. He wouldn't assume things were safe until he felt Sony's own Force Energy disappear.

WHACK!!!!

For the second time in a week her nose was all over her face. Out of nowhere the punch came, and into nowhere it retracted, Sony reeled backwards into some bar patrons. Her nose a bloody smear on her face, broken in nine different places along with the new cuts by the Force Hound, Sony wasnt happy. All but dumped to the floor as the patrons scattered she smashed through a table. Screeching in a strange langauge She used the Force, tapping into her fathers power and launching a lightning explosion towards the one thqat struck her in the face.

It was then when everything went to hell in a open melee freeforall as Sony found herself hit first from behind, then a thrown mug, then a thrown droid. She dodged the first two, but barely was slammed into from the third item. Had she not caught the thing with the Force and sent it flying in another direction it would have been quite messy. her amber gaze swpet the room, the lone Jedi still seated at his table, nothing going near him, damn Siya.

When Sadr started the barfight Vir stared, Ok so, doing certain things to get things done did indeed suit sith just as well as Jedi, only it seemed to the young Force Hound that Sadr had better knowledge of it. She could feel the fear in him, wanting to destroy the place and hopefully the Sith from the bathroom with it. But he kept himself foing doing just that and instead emoved onto barfights

What fun!

So when he said simply to get behind the bar she didnt have to be told as she vaulted the bar and disappeared behind it, using the Force to hide herself as she spotted Sadr do the same, for the most part at least. From how things sounded was sheer melee beyond the bar counter they hid behind.

Tuyer of course simply remained at his table.

Time seemed to slow to a halt for Sadr however as a voice echoed "Her power is strong. I can delay her... if you will allow me to" Deiyi seemed to fade into view from the bar counter. What did she mean ? If he allowed her to delay the sith ?

Vinculum followed through reflecting his hand back to position from the counter but the familiar crunch of a borrowed saber in his hands left him unstable nothing to balance the backstop of his punch. The pain of his hand met the backlash in his head as the Matriarch's power sloshed around then returned from whence it came. His sturdy mind recovered though his sight was blurred by the blue glow of a ball of lightning. Unbalanced Vinculum's feet were welded to the spot earthed to hold his bulk still to carry the weight of his Matriarch's ire.

He didn't have time to dodge. Vinculum stood his ground leaning on the force to absorb the first tendrils of the lightning ball searing lanes of fire into his skin. His time with Ale found the hive creature had to pass the energy to another. He was not about to pass it into the fighting innocents of some other False Matriarch that now erupt in violence around him. As the force explosion ground at his body Vinculum drained it into his anchor as fast as he could. As his flesh immolated so did the floor, clothes, electronics, the wood and rugs on the floor. Vinculum's iron will held firm as his feet drove backward ramming melted furrows behind him a trail of ignition flashing combustible material into ash. He rammed hard into a wall sat melted into a divot there. Vinculum's plate and skin were cracked and black the flexible eye sockets open but shed flakes of what used to be a thin layer of skin. Bleeding stopped quickly as his body shut veins to close the spray of red blood.

Vinculum looked to the surprised fighters flailing about with second degree burns. He'd immolated what anchored to earth it was all the suffering he could shoulder for whatever False Matriarchs they were born from. He chanted a mantra to shut out the burn.

Crackling badly from the damaged speaker on his shoulder came his voice, "Pain is ephemeral. Suffer for the protectorate."

He stood up from the glowing metal hole stumbling forward then found his footing. There was a ping in his head that said a Matriarch was near. He couldn't place where. Still, the job was not yet done and he had no interest in the bar fight. A human rammed his fist into Vinculum's burnt but armored face shattering their knuckles. Skin immolated on his face Vinculum could feel nothing even as the energy that passed through his body made his spirit hurt.

"I have no interest in you, go away.", he said to the screaming man.

His quarry however, had now gone. While Vinculum's body wavered his attention did not. Both large black eyes looked quietly over the crowd though he had to headbutt another human throwing himself Vinculum's way.

Sadr could feel the stilling of air around him, the reduction and slurring of noise in the bar itself. Glass breaking sounded more heavy and grunts were drawn out until...everything stopped. No noise to be made, no movement to be had. It's like everything was frozen but without the cold. the Grey Jedi turned to Vir, who had also stopped moving. Her stare didn't constantly move to examine above them like it had been doing. It was still. And it was then that Sadr realized that time had stopped as a whole.

But why didn't he?

Sadr was about to take a peek over and see what the crap baskets was going on when he heard a voice...no...the voice. "Her power is strong. I can delay her... if you will allow me to."

Hearing the same female he'd heard in the bathroom when things started to turn to...er, Sithshit, Sadr immediately grabbed the lightsaber he'd found there and and examined it closer. Nothing had changed in it's simplistic design or it's structural integrity. It wasn't radiating pure Force energy anymore...but something had to be. Something had to be stopping time around him right now of or relating to this saberstaff he had in his possession. Sadr had a thought as he turned it over in his hand and saw a hatch which could be opened to reveal the Kyber Crystal inside. Was that it's source? Only one way to find out. He wasn't worried about making a decision or answering the being just yet. He had all the non-moving time in the world to do so. Now, he was going to sate his curiosity.

One would expect fingers to be trembling, but Sadr took a practiced hand to the test as he flipped the hatch open and examined inside with nary a second thought. Inside, he lay his golden eyes on a copper Kyber Crystal. What made this one stand out besides the color was the way it was fractured in six different places, proving that it would carry a very unstable blade if ignited. It's core also seemed to pulse a deep orange. It resonated around him, surrounding his atmosphere as he breathed in what he felt like was pure Force energy. This had to be the source.

Closing the hatch and standing up, Sadr contemplated the female's words once more. She could help them. She wanted to help them. But Sadr wasn't a fool and knew there would be something that this female would get out of keeping the two of them alive...something that wasn't revealed yet. He'd never experienced otherwise. At the same time, he knew about Sony's reputation and what it would mean if she caught him. He felt like he was walking into a death trap, one way or the other. But which would hurt less?

Sony would hurt more, he rationalized. She was a definite threat. And when the Force calls out, one doesn't simply ignore it. All Jedi, good, bad, and in between, knew this.

So he raised the Saberstaff horizontally in front of him, closed his eyes, and let the being's power channel through him, "Fine. Help us out. But I would like some answers after this."

As Sadr's eyes opened and the saberstaff ignited with a crack of energy the unstabled barely contained yet beautiful broken bronze blades sprang to life. The core was a off yellowish hue whereas the outside of it seeemd to radiate broken glass of bronze in such a manner it made the blade look too wide, yet, the unstable effect was apparently intended as even other Jedi had commented on the broken unstable look to the weapon. In truth it aided Deiyi when she used it in battle, her enemies thought the blade unstable, about to break, and so found their thoughts to their undoing when the blade was infact very stable. Yet the effect of the shattered outside edge of the blade made it all the more beautiful.

As Sadr ignighted the Saberstaff time caught basck up to him, Vir stared at the unstable saber blades and kept her distance as the person she saw using it wasnt Sadr for that brief moment it was none other than the owner of the voice Sadr had heard speaking to him, Deiyi manifested briefly standing where Sadr stood, it was only for a brief time when she sprang from the bar towards the sith

Sony saw her coming and whipped out her Vibrosword to face off against the strange newcomer, Ina sudden whirlwind of speed from both Sith and Jedi, the two went at each other with speed and skill unmatched. Vir stared. Sadr was with her just seconds before, and now this woman ?

For Sadr not much had changed, he still stood where he'd turned on the lightsaber, As a Force Ghost unseen, simply observing until suddenly Sony's power surged and sent Deiyi flying a few paces. With a fast motion Deiyi disappeared and time once more slowed to a halt as she withdrew from Sadr's body, returning control to him. After all it was his, not hers, he could see that Sony was winded from the sudden rather ferocious assault from the Force alone. Backtracking she had a hand to her face where the lightsabers unstable bits had cut her in several places.

"she is delayed for now, her power is stronger than I had thought; Hurry, Master Siya will join you two later. While you are able, get off this planet. I can do further to delay her as this." Standing next to Sadr was Deiyi, a ghostly creature, tall and thin, her hair was long and held back by a simple clasp atop her head of apparently jade. Her clothing was of ancient jedi; yet her knowedgel was of further back, and ahead.

Yuyer smirked and watchesd the two fight, it had been a long time since he had seen Deiyi fight a Sith, possibly too long, seeing her in person after so many years was amazing. The fact that she was helping a Lost Sith made him happy, oddly so. Though it was, Siya mused, good to see Sony get bested by a dead woman. He flinched however when the broken appearing blade made contact about six different times on Sonys face and arms, narrowly missing her stomach. each hit scored a mark of contact. Deiyi knew her stances very well

Vir's mouth hung open, what the sithshit had she just witnessed ?

The commotion had aroused the interest of someone nearby. Suddenly, everyone seemed to be forced to a standstill. Not by any mysterious power of force, or ominous appearance..but by a girl, leaning against the wall. She was dressed in a stark-white lab coat, not a scratch or scuff on it. The white glasses on her face, the observant nature of her gaze, and the device she was holding in her and all screamed "Scientist" to the group. The device was glowing a soft blue, and seemed to be what was holding them all in place like statues. With a small smirk, the girl brushed a bit of hair out of her face, and spoke to them. "So. Anyone mind telling me what all this is about?"

She walked among them, with the grace of a predator...and the smirk of one. "Anyone? Come on, don't be shy. I didn't freeze your lips." She folded her hands behind her back, standing mostly in front of them. It is worthy of noting, at this point in time, that the ghostly figures were unaffected. Whatever she had done, or was doing, was only affecting those of mortal flesh and blood. "Really, I'm interested. You've all caused such a ruckus, and made such a mess...why, I could hear it all the way from my workshop. So since you made me walk all the way over here, you might as well give some answers. Come come. Tell you what, you answer my questions and I'll answer yours. Undoubtedly you have at least one."
