Violet Manscatta

Big things come in small packages

0 · 306 views · located in Canti's Diner

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by CrystalRose

Description

Standing at 5'4'' with a slim build, Violet is just as intimidating as a lady bug at first glance. Her silver waist length hair and grey eyes, make up for what her height lacks, however. Violet wears a red robe as every Priestess does. Her skin has an olive tone to it, one of a person who has spent her life worshiping inside the Temple of Isis, never once exposing her body to the rays of the Egyptian Sun. Her graceful stature appeals to all, allowing her the attention of all she would seek out.

So begins...

Violet Manscatta walked down the streets of the new city she had found herself in, until she came to a Pub, "Drink and Eats." the sign read. She hadn't noticed until now, but her stomach was in fact a bit rumbly. "Just a bite." she said to herself. She pushed herself passed the front door, and lowered the hood to her cloak. The light glared off her white hair, as she made her way to the counter, looking for a keep to place an order with for some food. After placing her order, she picked the glass full of lemon water from the counter, and found herself a seat at one of the tall barstool tables. As new as she was, Violet couldn't help but to browse the area, looking upon each person, trying to examine their aura. Her eyes fell upon one man who looked about as happy as a fish out of water. In hopes of being friendly, she pasted a smile upon her face for him to see if he would ever to meet her gaze.

Violet Manscatta raised her head, meeting his question, "I was just wondering if you could tell me of the daily special? I am quite hungry, after my long travels, and have ordered this meal. Will I be satisfied, you think?" Violet truly didn't care what was served before her, she was so hungry. But it was all she could think to ask this total stranger, though she was dying to conversate with him and find the source of his fury. Once should never go about in the world so mad about anything.

Violet Manscatta shurgged her shoulder and lifted both her hands palms outward, "With no accusation attended, kind sir, I was merely wondering what kind of food I was to be served in this establishment. As I stated, I am new, and in need of some social company." Violet took note of his clenched fists, "Please, take a seat at my table and enjoy a drink with me."

Violet Manscatta arched an eyebrow, having never sensed this kind of anguish before, "Dear man, is there something that is bothering you this day?" She bit her lip before proceeding with her statement, "You mustn't ever give forth too much information, before receiving your own." She remembered her father priest telling her this before her setting out on her expedition...

Violet Manscatta retrieved her glass in match to his abrupt action, "My name is Manscatta, Violet. I tread from an Egyptian land where I spent many suns and moons studying the arts of the Gods and Goddesses. Maybe for such an occasion as this, where I might share some of my knowledge... Mr..." She faded off leaving the statement open for him to finish. He didn't seem like the type for simple chatter, so she decided to get right to his point. Whatever it was to be.

Violet Manscatta jumped at the thud of his foot against the table, she eyed his scratching fingers during her response, "Of what Gods would you like to know?" She let out a polite cough, "I've made it my business to study and know of all the ones, true and false. Tell me, Az, do you seek guidance from these sources?"

Violet Manscatta shrugged, "Well that one is easy, Onuris is the God of War. Perhaps that would suffice your seeking?"

Violet Manscatta nods. "Did you know that Sekhment, God of Destruction, is also the God of healing?" she eyed the man for a more respectable response, "Some would seek healing through destruction, is what I mean to say."

Violet Manscatta grew tired of the dance, "Well if I might say so, Az, you seem like the destructive type yourself. Of what right are you to make judgments upon a God and his way?"

Violet Manscatta opened her eyes brightly at the surprise of Az's voice. Violet then turned to the man who had approached the table, focusing her eyes to his aura. "And may I ask your business with this character, Az?" She directed.

Violet Manscatta glared at Az, "I don't think a confrontation is what any of us want, sirs." She directed this to both the men, for they reminded her of roosters fighting for a nest.

Violet Manscatta pushed herself from the table, motioning for the detective to take her seat. "Sounds like you two gentleman have a lot to catch up on. Good day and Gods Bless." She nodded her way, taking her glass with her and setting it on the counter with her fee for drink, as she never did receive her food. Still hungry, Violet made her way out of the bar and back into the new City of Wing.

Violet Manscatta made her way through the entrance of the bar, arranging her long silver hair to one shoulder. Her last visit here was a strange one indeed. She searched the bar for the face of the man she had encountered before. Unsatisfied she found her way to an empty chair, embracing the new crowd with sincere gray eyes.

Violet Manscatta 's ears perked at the suggestive conversation coming from a winged woman. She cleared her throat, as she quietly received a drink from the bartender, who must have remembered her. "Well it's nice to see I made an impression." She thanked the man and took a small sip of her ale.

Violet Manscatta resisted a jerk of shock as the creature dropped the bottle almost unto the fairy's head. As the small figure caught it, she let out a sigh of relief. "I'll never understand the code of compassion in this country." She muttered to herself. "Seems to me the more known you are, the worse you are to be treated." A vision of the last man she encountered sitting angrily, barely able to control his body. Violet shook her head, and took another sip. To the new people walking in, she shot them a friendly glance.

Violet Manscatta tilted her head to one side, her hair swinging against the other. Having been in the Wing City for a few months now, Violet has managed to step outside the box set about by her father priests. Her cloak now buttoned acrossed the waist instead of at her throat as was her old style. This place'll do strange things to a girl. Violet thought to herself as she crossed Gambit's threshold.

Violet Manscatta dropped her head, 'So last time it was an ancient war god set on revenge, what's this, Aliens?' Violet's patronizing tone went unnoticed to herself, as she raised her first finger in the air, "Gin, please." Gracefully she gathered her skirts and made her way to the bar, through the crowd, unto a somewhat clean stool

Violet Manscatta 's eyes grew large and round as the bartender gently sat in fron of her the special gin recipe she brought with her from Egypt. Just as she reached out to pick up the clear glass, a ceiling tile fell onto the counter in front of her, smashing and splattering her drink all about.

Violet Manscatta threw her hands up, and huffed at the acknowledgment given to her by the familiar faced Annastasia Ojike. Violet nearly stamped her foot. Irritably, she brought both hands to her shoulders, and flipped her open fingers opposite herself. Every drop of gin that had tarnished her clothing now darted into thin air and evaporated. "Such a waste." This she said to Anna.

Violet Manscatta waved her hands about, "Well some creatures' child definately needs to learn how to arrive without such a grand gravitational force." However rude it was to be considered, Violet was at a point where she was answering any audible question, while she tapped her foot waiting for the bartender to bring her replacement drink. "I mean really, who transports around in a spaceship these days? Over rated."

Violet almost leaped for joy at finding what seemed to be a normal diner. She had passed a few since arriving within Wing City, but couldn't bring herself to sit down, let alone speak an order. A lot of the people she passed, or had come across, were very intimidating, causing her to turn the other way and run, even if that meant going hungry. It had been many days since she left the comfort of her temple, where the priests had raised her. They had thought it a good idea to go out and see the world that they spent so many a day praying for. Violet had regretted that decision every day since.

Looking up to the neon sign, she took a deep breath, which resulted in a loud rumble from her stomach. "Yes, yes. I hear you." She said. Pushing open the door, she was so careful to push slow, so that were there any bells to announce a new customer, she hadn't jingled them at all. Instead of letting the door slam, she shut it slowly. She spotted two men talking over coffee on one side of the diner, and pivoted on her heels for the other. Sliding into the furthest back booth, she faced the wall, with her back towards the rest of the restaurant. It felt so good to be off her feet, she couldn't help but lay her head back against the booth wall, and relax her shoulders.

At one corner of the diner's counter top, sat fair haired Lark, who sat quietly with eyes closed as he listened to music play through his headphones. Despite everything music was still a solace for him. It almost made him laugh. Everything else, everyone else, had been taken away or left, but at least he still had his music.

He shook his head.

No more dwelling. He'd finally managed to get rid of Luli (for how long had yet to be seen) and he was growing tired of his self-loathing. Taylor was gone, Railynn had the dragons to care for, Duke....Duke could go fuck himself for all Lark cared. All that was left was him. What would he do now?

He took a deep breath and sighed. Guess he'd start with something to eat for now.

The waitress interrupted her moment of silence, with a clank of glass against table top. "Be back wit'cha in jus' a momen', babe. This guy here," She nodded to the corner of the bar counter closest to Violet's booth, "He been 'ere for a minute, now." The woman popped her chewing gum, and sat a menu down in front of Violet. Violet turned her neck, to see the boy sitting atop a stool; moving his head, she assumed, to the beat of his tunes.

Violet scooted out from the side she currently sat, and moved to the other, so that she could see the boy without having to break her neck to do so. As she frequently ate alone, she found others that did the same interesting. Maybe she would buy herself a private music player, it seemed to be entertaining him well enough.

She opened her menu, and looked through it, not sure. The vegetarian section was lacking, though she did spot a House Salad. "Hmm." She thought out loud, stripping her straw of its' paper, and sipping her water.
