0 · 823 views · located in Wing City Lake: Beach

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by SleepyShadow

Description

She is a slender young woman with tan skin, long dark hair, and piercing eyes. She typically wears soft leathers, lets her hair flow freely, and adorns her thick locks with beads, feathers, and other small ornaments. She typically wears face paint in some manner, and will often mark her face or other parts of her body with symbols representational of traits of the various spirit animals she reveres, such as the wisdom of the owl, the endurance of the bear, and the splendor of the eagle.

Personality

White Crow is a reserved person, with her insatiable curiosity tempered by wisdom beyond her years. She is quiet most times, though when spoken to she will gladly engage in conversation. However, she cannot stand harm being committed to living creatures, be they animals or people, and she will often step in on their behalf. White Crow has a love for music, song in particular, and will happily join in with any music if permission is given to do so. She also has a love of dance, however she does not ask permission to do that.

Equipment

A small hunting knife.

Leather working tools.

A pouch of dried rations.

A bow and quiver of 40 arrows (when hunting or adventuring)

White Crow entered the bar, curious about the rather famed place. She had heard many stories, and an equal number of warnings as well, but she simply had to find out for herself.

White Crow spied the newcomer, and wondered if he knew anything about this place. She approached Christoper casually and gave him a small smile.

White Crow was not terribly surprised by his response. She was making no effort to hide her intent, after all.
"Yes, that's right. I'm new here, and I was hoping for a bit of guidance, and perhaps a good story or two."

White Crow gave a small shrug and wandered over to the front of the room to examine what the tavern had to offer.

White Crow glanced over her shoulder at the newcomers, having decided not to fetch herself a meal from the kitchen. The pirate and the swordsmen surely would have stories to tell, but she knew it was rather unwise to approach armed strangers.

White Crow swept a lock of her dark hair behind her ear as she gave a small smile to elf, even as she glanced past him at Alexander for a brief moment.
"Me? Oh, I've heard many stories about this strange place, but so far it seems to be nothing more than an ordinary albeit large tavern."

White Crow balked at the idea of mermaids ever going to a land-locked tavern, then began to immediately wonder if they had taverns under the sea... She shook her head free of such silly notions, knowing full well that the drinks would just mingle with the seawater and be ruined.
"I am a member of a nomadic tribe of plains-riders," she answered. "Most often we are a few short miles north of Zhona..."
Her thought trailed off as she watched the brazen woman vault the bar counter.

White Crow looked at the sword curiously, though she kept a cautious eye on what could easily be a fight breaking out between the barmaid and the gypsy.
"Do you arm yourself everywhere you go?" White Crow asked Alex.

White Crow gave Rien a droll look. It seemed the only place to avoid the advances of men was safe at home.
"I carry a weapon of sorts, though it's more of a tool than anything else," she said, withdrawing a simple hunting knife from her boot. "On the occasion that I need to defend myself, I typically do so using magic of my own."

White Crow put the knife away in her boot before answering.
"I draw upon the natural world around me, utilizing the various elements and animal spirits for both offense and defense. Though a bit of song magic never hurts," she finished with a wink.

White Crow blushed slightly. She mentally scrambled for a few moments, wanting to change the subject as quickly as possible.
"Er, so what do you do, Alex?" she asked quickly. "Are you an adventurer of sorts?"

White Crow glanced worriedly past Alex at the men in uniforms. She had not had many pleasant dealings with people in uniforms, and she hoped they wanted nothing to do with her.
"Alex," she said as she gave a small gesture in their direction, "who are they?"

White Crow drew upon the Spirit Bear Totem for power, and granted that power to Alex unless he resisted the spell. Were he allow it to effect him, it would bolster the warrior, granting him the endurance and hardiness of a grizzly bear.

White Crow smiled and nodded at Alex.
"Song magic is a bit hard to explain, really," she answered. "Fundamentally, it's simply another form of magic that utilizes music to harness its power. As for the strength of the bear spirit, don't worry. It will fade away in a few minutes."

White Crow smiled in wonder at the frosty flower, then smiled again at Alex.
"Strengthening magic is what I do best," she explained, "though the spirits do grant me a fair share of more offensive magic as well. As for your guitar ... perhaps I could teach you something simple."

"Well it's much easier to teach you something if you have what you need," she giggled.

White Crow gently took the guitar and cradled it as only a masterful musician would. She pulled the pick from the strings and held it between her lips as her fingers danced across the strings, playing a low melody that was only interrupted by brief pauses to make a minor adjustment to the tuning. Satisfied, she passed the guitar back to Alex.

White Crow gave a small nod, her eyes flitting back and forth between the guitar and Alex's face.
"It takes a long time to learn anything major, but I can teach you something basic if you are still interested," she offered.

White Crow pushed the guitar back into Alex's hands, giving a small shake of her head. She got up, walked around behind him, then leaned over the back of sofa. She reached around Alex's neck and placed her hands on top of his, intent on showing him very specific chords. Her chest was pressed against his shoulder as she leaned forward to see the positioning of their hands on the guitar, seemingly oblivious to how awkward this may be.
Clearly, when it came to teaching music, White Crow had no concept of personal space.
