Very subtly a figure would seemingly emerge from the shade and begin to languidly tread across the room, obviously with his attention fixated on something on the other side as betrayed by his inclination to cut straight through the dance floor. The lithe figure weaved through the mass of individuals who had found themselves consumed in the ecstasy of the music, as well as the influence of one or a number of illegal stimulants.

All the while his feet carried his form forward, his stare which pierced through the single opening in the bandages which constricted his crown focused on two individuals in particular; A murky silver pool atop an endless abyss of darkness had entrapped both within it's sights.

The sight around him was a sexual depiction of a untamed passion and lust consumed mind, as infectious as it was pleasurable. Though despite the efforts of several individuals of the opposite sex who attempted to lure in the familiar anomaly with gently massages and untold whispers, he remained relentless in his progression through the horde as if hypnotized into doing so.

A clingy harlot refused to abandon her game and was soon discouraged by a rather forceful backhand which sent her stumbling to the ground. A vicious hiss soon erupted from her throat as a rebuttal but naught else was used in her retort.

'I've always questioned the intents of all those who would call themselves villains; All that would fall under the collective moniker of Evil. I would approach these would-be criminals and dark entities without fear, without hesitation- Who are they to me but scum and maggots?- After silently announcing my presence with merely existing within such close proximity of them, a forceful exhalation would free my throat of writhing remnants and my voice would carry over to them an inquiry...'

"What will you do after you've achieved your goal? When the world is consumed in hellfire and embers, the suffering and the dead, and when there is naught but yourself and all your glory, what will you do?"

'Of course, what can you do? When you have destroyed all there is to destroy- When you have killed everyone there is to kill- When the sun's radiance is denied, the moon's luminance rejected, the starry sky engulfed in the thick smog comprised of the lamenting dead and those mourning the morrow... What can you do?'

A sole figure clinging to the shade of the structure, not far from where the bar's counter was positioned, spoke in cryptic inquisitions to no one in particular. His voice, whenever allowed to rise above a simple murmur or mumble, beckoned in a pitch that, if allowed to worm itself into your skull, invoked that instinctual reaction that all things are susceptible to... fear.

The form of this creature was humanoid in design and appearance, but far from such in actual conception. The frame leveled with most, likely amounted similarly in weight, and possessed all the features your average human would: Head, shoulders, knees, toes, and everything in between. The apparel which draped his form was comprised of silk, darkened to blend in with the heavy darkness in his general area, and fashioned to resemble a luxurious suit. The only abnormal traits which made themselves apparent to one's sight were the bandaging which wound tightly around his head, and those hellish eyes... Silver pupils, Black schlera.

"Who- No, What- Yes, who are those who would and those who won't, that exist within yet abandon all else? You others... Yes, You others among me..."

No, responses weren't expected. They weren't necessarily needed. No, the voices were the only constant that this form knew of. At dawn, they whispered of unending sorrow, and at dusk they screamed of hellish agonies. They spoke of truths untold, of lies and betrayal, and always of the darkness which consumed them. These voices would answer the man, question him, ridicule and praise his existence and inquiries- But, they served only as the fabricated delusions constantly plaguing his already fragmented psyche... at least, that is what he had been told...

Would he dare to step from the shadows which bound his mental and physical self? Why? Why would he when he had already forfeited his spiritual essence to the demons and darkness? This was the conclusion to the amalgam of choices made and sins committed- The result of his dark trials and tribulations, perpetuating forevermore into eternity as his penance... yet, what was one more blasphemy amongst the countless others?

The right appendage which supported his ectomorphic frame sluggishly rose from the gritty floorboards beneath it, lifting only several inches before finding resistance in movement. A bile refused to relinquish the dress shoe and feverishly adhered to it's bottom, denying the man escape from darkness- escape from the captivity that it, itself, fell victim to. But this one had purpose- Curiosity beget reason. Reason fueled impulse. Impulse instilled within him a drive that none would deny or obstruct.

A forceful jerk of his right leg would yank from his footwear the clinging substance with a eerie rip and tear. If the sound were familiar, one could have sworn that flesh had been violently torn- They could image the gore which resulted, and even visualize the grasping sinews which fell free from the stained ivory. This foot landed forcefully upon the floor, just clearing the darkness about it. The left leg followed suit, and when the collective stood now free from his binds, a sickening boast of glee were forced from his viscera.

"What I have overcome, I will never overcome. You who believe otherwise of himself shall know only what I know... You will know that to overcome is a delusion- In doing so, you are the victim. You succumb to so much more, and in the end it is defeat which ails you. I know defeat, just as you will know defeat, just as I know defeat, just as you know defeat,..." Still the riddles and babble poured from his oral orifice like the sanguine plasma drawn from the breast of innocence, beckoned by the blade of wrath, and engorged by the corruption which seeks all. As the loop initiated, the lone figure began to twist his head in a clockwise manner. The rotation, extending beyond the norm of what is realistic conceivable, caused the sickening cracks which ensued, resonating across the innards of this establishment much like the growls from starvation cry from the belly of a savage beast...

Xiucosendr Von Delacroix would step forward from where he was prior, though that exact location would elude many for it seemed as if the man had simply appeared out of thin air. He seemed dressed well enough with his formal wear; A luxurious suit as dark as the pools his silver slits floated upon. These were easily seen as they drew in one's gaze, away from the bandages that constricted his skull. Approaching the woman, the figure cleared his voice-

"Lovely weather we're having, no?"

"Oh, but the pleasure is all mine." And with that complimenting declaration, Xiucosendr gestured his upper body forward in a light bow toward the other in greeting. Correcting his posture, how eerily poised and correct it was, a short silence befell the man as his stare carried forward into the single eye that stared back. Oddly, both only revealed one optic, though likely for very different reasons. After a moment or two, he stepped forward and extended his right hand-

"Xiucosendr Von Delcroix, of the Shade and such. And you, M'dear, Are...?"

Even after her own hand had withdrawn, his remained for merely a second longer, his fingers curling back to caress against his palm until the collective hung in stillness beside his hip and thigh. The gentle articulation which spilled forth over ruby lips arose several questions within the man's mind. Each, hopefully, would be addressed and resolved before they fell dormant in his mind...

"Voice of the Goddess..." He languidly repeated, "...Sounds like a position of great importance. However you were able to abandon that seat, and those that cater to you, is far beyond me."

"I assume from your short description that Ojas is somewhat the protective type..." he responded with mock weariness and a simple gaze about the surroundings as if to check for danger, "...I hope I'm not endangering myself by associating with you Ms. Voice of the Goddess." The tone was kind enough and jokingly sarcastic, though all in good fun.

"Oh, these? Well, I must agree, they do appear a little foreboding, yes? And I suppose that could be associated with trouble, indeed. You seem a decent person, Ishae, but it is strongly against my personal values to disclose certain information to those I meet. Especially if I cannot grasp whether they are physically real or really who they claim to be..." His voice trailed off some, and his gaze descended downward, not focusing on anything really as his mind had obviously succumb to a short stupor-

"However, I can say that I wear these bandages for my own protection."

It was saddening really, for the woman before him appeared so sincere and so innocent. But regret is life's greatest teacher, and it had taught him to never assume anything, never let his guard down, and never, ever instill all of his belief into any concept.

"And I believe you, M'dear..." A partial truth, "...And perhaps, if Ojas permits, I will one day be able to divulge such information to you. Until then, however, lets no longer speak of such things. What say you?"

"I honestly haven't the foggiest idea... One thing lead to another, and then this happened, and suddenly I found myself within the city limits. It's a nice enough place I suppose. Characters are rather eccentric for my taste... Though, who am I to judge?" His description was dodgy, yes, but for good reason. If he were to detail everything, those eyes which glisten with such purity may very well turn from him. And that was not something he was ready for... not yet at least.

"What of yourself? Is this where you and Ojas plan to live out the rest of your days?"

"I suppose no one can blame him. From my short time here, I can relate to his sentiments concerning the city. Personally, and I hope this doesn't make me sound crazy..." she couldn't grasp the irony of that statement, "...but I believe the cause is that Bar. Something about it... just doesn't bode well with me. Something about it's presence..." Another drift in his words lead into a short silence.

"Surely, you've felt it too?"

"No... The area itself has become tainted. Something vile and impure has poisoned that atmosphere and draws toward it nothing but suffering and hatred. The lamenting agonie- Ah, I'm getting beside myself. My apologies, Ishae, I can become rather eccentric myself." There was something there for a but a moment, a change in demeanor from this tame gentleman to something darker. The escalated seriousness in tone, the distant and dark gaze in his eye, the chilling sensation that his frame exuded... but all was well once more.

"I would advise you staying away from that place."

The male raised his right hand above his head waved lightly from side to side, watching as she went about her way and vanished amongst the city streets. She was nice... But, was she actually here? Was just another delusion in his fragile mind, or did she physically exist in this strange place? Only time would tell... Only time...

"Ah, kin of another but kin all the same." The voice's origin was obscured by the shade which consumed him, but soon a form revealed itself. Dress shoes spawned from the shadows first, followed by the entirety of being whom were wearing them. Skull bound in bandages, eyes as black as coal, and silver irises which pierced into one's being as if lethal daggers were the only intriguing traits about this figure. All else appeared in order, albeit a bit formal in attire.
