Likes: Yuri enjoys being alone. She would rather be off in the world of her books then with people. She also really loves animals, cats and wolves in particular. Reading outside is her favorite past time, and she enjoys listening to foreign music. She also likes hoodies and scarves, seeing as she wear one, or both, with every outfit.
Dislikes: People, she can be labeled as a misanthrope in some cases. Mold. She can't stand bugs, especially spiders. She hates clowns, and when people talk to much.
Appearance: First off, unlike the picture she does not have ears. She's 5'2, 117lbs. She's not muscular, or athletic. She has light brown hair that falls to her hips. Her eyes are a dark green, and her skin is clear. Her normal attire is converse, skinny jeans, a t-shirt, usually black, and a hoodie, also usually black. On colder days, or when she feels like it, she wears a scarf, usually grey or green, but she does have others.
Personality: Yuri is quiet, reserved, and intelligent. She's not quiet to the point that she's rude, but if she can avoid talking to people then she will. She is emotional at times, and is very claustrophobic. She avoids making attachments to people, seeing as how humans live only to hurt other humans. She is afraid of loss.
Marks: Yuri's mark appeared at the base of her throat where the collar bones meet. At first, she noticed a burning sensation, an then a terrible itch. After days her skin was raw and red from scratching and she noticed a faint outline of a diamond like pattern. During the next few days her voice came and went, at times loud shrieks escaped her mouth. On two occasions she broke glass by emitting a high pitch frequency when she opened her mouth to speak. On the 11th day, her skin burned, and her insides boiled. She screamed, and held her throat, the feeling of nausea hung over her. Sound waves shot out, voices that weren't hers called for help, windows broke, and then there was silence. The burning had vanished, the itching gone. Instead, on the base of her throat was a diamond shaped pattern, the bottom ends jutting outwards like a tattooed necklace. Her mark, activated by using her mouth/ voice, allowed her to manipulate sound. She found she could impersonate people, release various frequencies, and on one occasion, during extreme anger at a boy who was picking on her, she had caused his ears to bleed as she flooded him with ear piercing sound waves.
History: Yuri was born to her father, Rin Otario, and her mother, Katarina Otario. She has two siblings, her brothers Eli and Torrin, who are Twins. During childhood she showed signs of brilliance, developing the skills to read at an early age, and excelling in all her classes. She experienced minor bullying, usually due to the way she dressed, or how her nose was always stuck in a book. At 10 years old her parents divorced. The fights were too much, and the stress of it all hit Yuri hard. She did not want to lose either parent. She cried herself to sleep at night, and wished for her parents to stay together. Middle school and High school were not kind to Yuri, the pain of losing her mother, who ran off to Chicago, stuck with her. Because of this she distanced herself even more, not wanting to ho through the pain of loss again. On te day of the meteor shower she was walking home from the library, when a rock the size of a cat fell into a nearby yard, blasting Yuri to her feet. A crescent shaped Piece of the meteor had struck her arm, and she ha blacked out, only to awaken in her room, the rock in her pants pocket.
Notes: Yuri is logical, but in times of great stress, anger, or some other emotion, she can lose her logic and act on instinct. Talking to her isn't hard, but getting her to like you will be, and the fear of loss looms over her.
