Youthful Lightning
Zirek is a little spunky, but isnt to the point of being annoying. However, it is a miracle if you can get him to shut up. He's in fact still much of a child inside, one that refuses to grow up. He's usually happy, carefree, and always trying to make jokes out of everything. He remains upbeat, or at least tries to through any hardships. Outside of combat, he's often seen socializing, reading a tome of some sort, or practicing his magic in a remote location.
In combat, he remains lively, but is focused on the battle. He cares more about his friends than anything else, and would do anything in his power to save them. He's stalwart, but wise, knowing when an opponent is out of his league. However, should his allies not back down, he would not stop his quarrel, and continue to aid them.
Grounding Cloak: Zirek's cloak is made of a very fine material, of which he doesnt know. However, it seems to shield him from his own magic thunder for the most part. And other's as well.
Peshkatz: Peshkatz are small daggers made of copper. They're very sharp, but not very sturdy. Zirek usually uses them as conductors for easier directed thunder spells, throwing them at his target.
Aresta: Aresta is a short cane given to Zirek by a scholar. It allows him to cast minor healing spells on people, and use all kinds of magic, but only those of low level.
Skills:
Thunder Adept- Zirek has amazingly almost mastered the category of Thunder magic. It's astounding for someone his age.
Throwing Weapon Proficency- Zirek is good at throwing his Peshkatz. Not great, but good enough to his his target at 30-40 feet.
Zirek is a skilled magister. However, he is still young. He has 200 mana. It regenerates at a rate of 50 an hour outside of combat, and 25 an hour inside of combat. "Inside of combat" is counted whenever Zirek is in a battle, regardless of seriousness. His body is ready for "Fight or Flight", which disrupts his calm needed for regeneration of mana, thus, his mana regeneration slows.
Abilities and Spells
Spells
Thunder- Simple Lightning spell. It is the among the first an apprentice learns to use. It's weak, but not to be under estimated. Mana cost:5
Elthunder- More advanced Lightning spell. Though it's fairly low level, Elthunder is known for it's simplicity, but above average punch for a low level spell. Mana cost: 10
Arcthunder- Basic level Lightning spell. Also refered to sometimes as Chain Lightning. It's a powerful bolt capable of bouncing between opponents. But as it passes through each one, it gets weaker. Mana cost: 15
Bolting- Extremely long range Lightning spell. Zirek often calls this his "TT" or his Thunder Trebuchet. As long as it's target is in sight, the spell can be directed at him. It's extremely powerful, even counting as an AoE, but it's generally inacurate against a single target, only damaging them with the AoE part. Mana cost: 25 (Note that it cannot be cast within 100 feet of Zirek.)
Thoron- High level Lightning magic. Thoron posses a mighty kick, hitting the target with furious bolts of lightning. Mana cost : 25
Rexbolt- Very high level of taught Lightning magic. Rexbolt is a mighty spell, devistating anything within it's bounds with an almost literal whirlwind of lightning bolts, with a grand finale of more lightning bolts combining to form a pillar of lighting, crashing down on the foe. Mana cost: 50
Recoperate- Medium level arcane spell. Mana restorive spell. It takes about five minutes to cast, but grants Zirek 100 mana. It may seem like an overpowered spell, but in a battle, alot can happen in five minutes.
Lightning Barrier- A sphere of lightning surrounds Zirek, 15 by 15 feet, protecting him from most physical attacks, and all lightning magic. Sphere can be maintained for 30 seconds before needing to be recast. Mana cost: 25 (Note if the attacking weapon is not conductant of electricity, this does nothing to hamper the attack.)
Banzai Bolt- Custom spell made by Zirek's mentor. By channeling a powerful lightning bolt into one hand, pointing for fingers at the target, he could use the bolt as a piercing effect instead of a lightning one.
Mana Cost- 20
Final Storm- Extremely large AoE attack created exclusively by Zirek. It's extremely experimental: An explosion made of lightning. It has a radius of about 100 yards. Sacrificing his entire being to create vast, distructive explosion of sheer electrical force. Even things that do not conduct electricity seem to be effected by the force of the spell. Mana cost: 200
Abilities
Bane of Blood- The magic tattoo placed on him from being outcast of the order has some hidden effect on Zirek. He can willing fatigue himself (damage himself) to restore his mana, giving him a few more spells to fling. (% damage= x2 % mana gained. For example, sacrificing 20% of his health would restore 40% of his mana). If overexerted, Zirek will pass out, and wake up with 0 mana.
Zirek was a orphan, nothing special about him. When he turned 8 however, an archsage found him, and mistook a birthmark as a symbol of a legendary mark of exelence. He quickly adopted the boy, and taught him the ways of magics. Zir was particularly keen to thunder magic, picking up arcane spells as well. Though he proved to be a natural at the lightning magic, the sage quickly realized his mistake. Instead of taking resposibility for his mistake, he made a proposterous lie that Zirek was abusing his powers, using them for unlawful things, even. In the order that the Archsage was in, this was heavily frowned upon. Thus, he was cast from the order, being branded both literally and metaphorically as an outcast, and a outlaw. Today, thoses black symbols still occupy his back.
Having nowhere else to turn at age 14, Zirek began his life on the streets. It was tough, having to do odd-jobs for pocket change, barely getting enough to eat and drink to make it by. He dreaded each sun-up, and praised each sight of the moon. He hated seeing how pitiful his life was. However, after only a few months on the street, he was taken in by a group of scholars. They were as his family, teaching him things, mentoring him in every subject. He became a very educated man. But a man named Pent stuck out of the crowd. Pent was also a Sage, a prestigious one at that. Better yet, he agreed to help mentor Zirek in the ways of magic. For two years, the student and master became very close, and it seemed Zirek learned ten times what he had learned in the six years with the archsage.
Today, Zirek is a brilliant man, aspiring to be a scholar when he grows old enough to teach. In the meantime, he is a traveling mage, offering his services to those whom might need them. Pent was suddenly 'called back' to his homeland, and after a long goodbye, Zirek and his mentor parted ways. He doesnt know where Pent is now, but he knows wherever he is, he is more than doing well for himself.
