There is not one universe. There are many: A multiverse. We have the technology to travel between universes, but travel is highly restricted and policed. There is not one you. There are many. Each of us exists in present time, in parallel universes. There was balance in the system, but now a force exists who seeks to destroy the balance so they can become The One.

The Multiverse Authority {or M.V.A.} resides in the Prime Universe, formerly known as DFR {Defense of a Faccist Republic} the newly merged Prime Universe with that of the truth Multiverse created a many rifts that need cleaning. DFR restructured on the spot, emerging as the MVA. In their universe, known as The Prime 'Verse, the MVA is the see all do all. But in other universes. Universes where they are unknown. they work to become part of each universe in a proper manner with each nation they come across.
The MVA sends out its countless agents across the Multiverse to many universes parallel to our own. All in an effort to keep the balance beteween each universe. These agents in many cases, outrank normal local groups, be they police, military or justice system due to their own structure and directives when given missions. They will, however, refer to the locals to each universe when dealing with areas that the agents have no experience in. This includes, driving directions, local customs, local laws, and local events.
Termimonology
Quantam Leaping: A method of transporting to another universe via black holes; this is highly restricted, known criminals use this method to traverse the various known universes. It is very painful though pain soon disappears after a few minutes of arrival to a location from another. If proper medical aid is onhand, pain is lessed by double the time required.
Hole Prediction: A method used in the Prime Universe to predict where a black hole will open a gateway anywhere on the planet, including its destination in another universe to get back to the Prime Universe
