The Archangel Transport Vessel is the main ship for WCA (Wing City Angels). Mass amounts of interior space are available for necessary facilities rather than armour. Hangars hold Seraphim Class Wings and other vehicles. Interior layers hold massive medical labs and wards providing for catastrophic care.
Food and water of priority in disaster zones the archangel has capabilities for such. Hydroponics feed silos a basic grain using internal life support systems. Inside grow engineered plant species designed for high productivity under energetic conditions. Atmospheres with water or direct water sources can both feed internal water tanks. Both these extend the Archangel’s time in the field a long degree. The black-leafed plant in question, called Ispaicade, is proprietary. The genome built especially for WCA for this particular use in compact conditions. The plant is inefficient compared to natural species in whole sustains a load of dozens of people a day. It also provides a natural air-purification which provides partial patient comfort. Ship interiors don't tend to accumulate odors even with refiltered life support air.
Housed in central medical, ARCO (Artificially ReConstructed Organ) provides more adaptable organ bioprinting. It can culture other more complex organs or structures though donors also store here. This system also feeds biocells in an automated fashion from the feed silos. While blood biocells need other minerals internal waste reclamation systems help. They can extract usable minerals and water while also destroying biohazardous waste.
The engine fuel system uses an adaptable feed stock. Grinders, ore processors, and sorters organize many types of light debris. Organized materials compatible with gauss-plasma engines of differing efficiency are thereby available. Compatible fuels selected by their efficiency energize into plasma using the ship reactor. Engines expel the energized reactant as plasma at high speed for extra-orbital flight. In-atmosphere flight uses field-hardened durasteel blades in a cryogenic cooled electric turbine. It is capable of ingesting large particles, sand, ash, even combustible atmospheres. Entire unfortunate creatures can pass through the engine without shattering the engine internals. Self-cleaning cycles must occur for extended flights in such environments. The Archangel needs to be able to go into noxious or flammable environments and not risk damage. So the turbines are present for the sake of crew, patients, and the landing zone.
While centered on riot suppression the archangel does have an armory. High pressure pneumatic rifles and pistols are the primary weapon of choice. Nonlethal ammo for those weapons uses carbon fiber in production. The carbon fiber comes from Ispaicade remainders after shelling processes filling the silo. Most light armor is slash and puncture resistant for full body isolation suits. Intended for riot conditions they are overlight for battle conditions. Heavy armor hardsuits are carbon fiber plating with a self-sealing cuticle layer. Lighter than soldier-class body armor from interests of flight time for their jetpacks. While hardsuits have better bullet resistance the chemical/radiation resistance is far higher. Optional headgear can turn light or heavy armour into a quarantine suit of high degree.
Exosuits service at the quartermaster's small machine shop as well. Intended for maintaining weapons it doubles as a service point for simple hardware. Printers or tools can manufacture parts there for pneumatic weaponry or various armors. Some pieces must fabricate in engineering as high-tolerance sintered metal parts. Lethal equipment is available as attachments to exosuits as force multipliers. Other laser weaponry is a proprietary stun-laser called an IFZ (Infused Flux Zapper). Its ignited plasma channel directs a variable amperage charge with pinpoint accuracy. Rioters or targets find it doubles as a flashbang when suppressing crowds. The weapon tethered across squad comms feeds helmeted personnel. With suitable equipment that communication suppresses lightning flashes to nearby personnel.
The center facilities for medical work onboard is some of the most advanced. At its heart are three quarantine surgical theaters operated through full dive equipment. Those pods allow doctors to mount full dive neural bridges to access the C.Y.B.E.L (Craniocerebral Yoctosecond Brainstem Emulation Layer) system. As a subdivision of bridge command systems it allows deployment of doctors to nodes. Packed close together these space-efficient surgical theaters load direct from patient pods. This limits the need of human access to avoid cross-infections. Virtual operations then take place inside that isolated surgical process with robotic arms. Each arm stabilized against flight turbulence which operate inside the theatres for them. That way they need not actually be on site protected behind the walls of the Archangel. Observation is at least possible given CVS (Comprehensive Visual Surveyor) nodes attached to vehicles or personnel. While surgical equipment might not be present anything with high-bandwidth communications works. Without the need to move between any patient doctors can diagnose to triage areas. By nature this also eliminates the possibility of field infections.
The Transport also carries the many vehicles of WCA, APC (Virtue), WCA Ambulances and finally fully automated electronic Mechs (Cherubims)
