Little Tauron is a neighborhood in Wing City, Terra, notable for its large population of Tauron immigrants.

The area is located in downtown the Tech Con quarter of Wing City and consists of a string of open markets and businesses, as well as older, brick apartment buildings - a stark contrast from many of Wing City's more modern architecture. It took Gabrielle a few minutes to realize that she hadn’t broken the chain completely. Snarling, she jerked harder onto the cuff, stretching out her other arm as far as she could reach. She squeezed her fingers together, trying to wiggle free from the cuff despite knowing it was too tight for her to do that. As she stretched, she glanced around for something to use and finally spotted a small piece of metal. Shoving it into the key hole, she scrunched her nose up, trying to get the damn thing unlocked.

--

“Good. I’ll be there with your money. You please me at how fast you managed to get what I required. Try to keep from doing anything lasting to her. See you in a day at Midnight.” Benson hung the phone up and grinned widely. His plan was coming together and Bryson, who usually failed him, actually did something right. He slid his cell into his pocket and just smirked while thinking about everything he was going to do to her.

"Let's move her." Li told the men, all of them standing up. "Move her where?" One of them asked, "The slums." Li answered, gesturing the men over to the van just as the cuffs Gabby had around her wrist would unlock due to her makeshift lockpicking.

Gabby had to hope she was fast enough to hotwire the vehicle, which she probably wasn't. Li and her hired thugs didn't exactly have to trek very far to get to the van. When they reached it one of the men pulled open a sliding door, Li opening the passenger side at nearly the same time.

"What the hell are you trying to do?" The thug asked Gabby, as if he was actually expecting an answer. Not that it would matter to him or Li.

When the cuff finally unlocked, she grinned and rubbed her wrist before turning around to get to the front of the van in order to hotwire it. She was probably about halfway between the seats when the sliding door and passenger side door opened simultaneously. Blinking, she started to say something before darting forward to the driver’s side door. She ignored the question and yanked open the door, sliding down to the ground,

“Bailing!” She shouted before rushing towards the garage door, hoping she could get to it before the grabbed a hold of her. She seriously sucked at escaping and knew unless she managed to get free or somehow got someone’s attention, there was a chance she would disappear forever. Her phone had been dropped back where she was snatched along with the necklace that would have led them directly to her location,

“Just lemme alone!”

"I have a gun!" Li called out to Gabby as she ran, pulling it from her waistband. "You won't get to that door alive if I have to use it, if you do, you won't get far before you bleed to death. She said, turning in the direction Gabby ran. A long revolver clutched in her gloved hand.

"You won't really kill her, would you?" One of her men asked, "Yeah, we don't get paid if she's dead." Another added, "I'm okay with going hungry for a few days." Li told them, aiming the weapon at the young woman. The weapon followed Gabby, Li's finger on the trigger in case Gabby didn't want to stop and had to be shot.

"I will kill you. And no one will ever know."

Gabrielle paused the minute she heard that Li not only had a gun, but was willing to shoot her as well. Did she dare take the chance and attempt to make it to the door or should she go back and figure out another way to escape? Or was she just bluffing? Listening to the conversation, she realized that the female most definitely wasn’t just trying to threaten her. Dying wasn’t an option, not today. Snarling, she finally turned around and walked back to where the others were standing,

“You could just fucking let me go, you bitch. I don’t know who you think you are, but you’ve just created a shit storm by kidnapping me. In case you weren’t aware, I am Gabrielle LeBeau, daughter to Remy LeBeau, otherwise known as Gambit, yenno… from Gambit’s Bar? Let me go now and nothing will happen to you. Hurt me or continue to hold me hostage, then you’re dead meat. Your fucking gun doesn’t scare me.” Gabrielle spit at Li’s feet, narrowing her eyes angrily.

Li listened to Gabrielle, glancing down at her feet once they spat at. She remained quiet, weapon still held out towards Gabby. The men she had hired wondered what Li would do, hopefully she wouldn't ruin their payday by hurting Gabby too much or killing her.

"Never heard of him. I don't think I've ever even been to Gambit's Bar." She informed Gabby, "I was hired to deliver you to someone. That's what I'm going to do. You'll live if you get to them, then you can try to escape and kill them all you want. I don't give a fuck, okay?" The Chinese woman said.

"Get in the van, we're going to the slums. We're going to stay there until midnight tomorrow. If you get out of line, I will kill you. I won't think twice about it. You'll die in the slums. The slums where no one goes, and no one cares. Am I clear?" Li asked Gabrielle, "Say, 'Yes, Ms. Li, I understand'."

Whatever she had been hoping to happen when she revealed who she truly was didn’t actually happen and that pissed her off. Well, not necessarily pissed her off, but annoyed her immensely. What good was it to be who she was if she couldn’t fight her way out of a paper bag or even make people leave her alone because of who her father was. Sighing, she stared at the gun before glancing back towards the van. Fine, she would go with her and just escape from whoever it was had hired her to snatch her. Either way, she was not going too remained kidnapped for long.

“Fuck off, bitch.” Gabrielle rolled her eyes and walked over to the van, stepping inside of it. She glared at Li and flipped her off before sitting down against the side of the van.

"I'm glad we're on the same page." Li told Gabby, gesturing for her men to get into the van. Li slipped her gun away, moving to climb into the back of the van with Gabby. The van started up, two of the three hired thugs seated in the front. The third opening the garage door.

"When we get to the slums, there might be a few people around. Sometimes the homeless, outcasts, criminals, and so on show up." Li told Gabby as the van backed out of the garage, the third thug pushing Li's motorcycle out onto the street. Donning her helmet and climbing onto the vehicle as the garage door closed.

"What I'm trying to say is that I need you to be quiet and we'll probably get on just fine. Hell, when we pass each other on the streets we might not even care to recognize each other." "Li said, the van driving down Little Tauron's main street to get back into Wing City proper and get on course to the slums.

Gabrielle narrowed her eyes as Li climbed into the back of the van with her. Two of the three thugs slid into the front and she knew her chance of escaping was growing slim to none. She glanced towards the side door as the van started to move outside of the garage and she wondered if she could get to the door and rip it open before lunging out. If so, she’d have to do it before the van started moving fast. Logic dictated that if she hadn’t been so injured by Bo, she’d be able to do things a lot easier. But, her ankle would slow her down and with her ribs already possibly broken, she might puncture a lung if she landed wrong. Swearing beneath her breath, she glanced out the front, noting they were heading back towards Wing City.

“When I get free, and believe me, I will… I am going to fucking kill you all. You, I will take extreme pleasure in dismantling your body until you beg for death, you cunt.” She shifted her body, pulling her legs up beneath her as she glanced towards the door once again. Li had put her gun away and if she could manage it, Gabby had the potential to get to the door and lunge out before the mercenary could ever pull out her gun.

Li nodded at Gabby as if she was listening to her. She wasn't. She had been tuning Gabrielle out since she got into the van with her. It wasn't like Gabby could get to her anyways, but Li thought ignoring Gabby would grate her nerves more than if she responded to anything the young woman said.

"This is going to be a long ride." The driver said, "God, I know." The otther thug said, "Kid, can you like, go to sleep? You've been beat up a little bit. You need rest anyways." The driver said to Gabrielle, bracing himself for more curse words and threats. Gabby was becoming a broken record at this point.

"This is a thirty minute trip, right? Thirty minutes too long." The driver muttered.

The din of Leone's Bistro, a popular Tauron hideout seemed to echo in the woman's ears as she sat at a table adjacent to a group of Tauron Mobsters.

Her contact in the Ha'la'tha told her this was a prime spot where she could meet someone from the Yin Yang Tong, a Triads group that could perform some work for her client.

The Client was a mystery, but no doubt a well paying individual.

The exchange was to be carried out by the most elite of the elite, and so the blonde sat there, before she ordered a glass of wine with a thickly accented voice, before she adjusted her sunglasses.

The woman herself was clad in a form fitting leather jacket, and a pair of jeans, with a pair of sunglasses obscuring her well kept face.

Sitting besides her was a silver briefcase, what was inside the briefcase had yet to be revealed. She waited, and watched for anyone who looked like they had some weight in the Triads, and hoped that the mutual contact hadn't set her up.

The entrance to the bistro flew open, several men and women stepping inside and spreading out to various tables. One of the people, a dark-haired woman, approached the leather jacket wearing blonde. "We know each other as far as eyes are concerned." She said, moving to take a seat across from her 'friend'.

"We're going to laugh, we're going to smile, order some food. You'll talk business with my boss." She said, nodding towards a nearby table. Joe Lin sat with a woman, both keeping up the appearance of a date as they held hands in the crowded bistro.

"Can you hear me well enough?" Joe asked his contact, "I apologize for all of this. But, we're going to war. Too much heat, too many UCs snooping around." He continued.

"I can appreciate the discretion." Nikita said, her voice thickly accented, with a mix between an English accent, and something else.

The exchange was fairly simple, her eyes went to the nearby table, before Nikita pulled out a cellular phone, and placed it on the table. The phone looked like a cheap phone one could buy at Walmart, and was clearly identified as what many would know as a "Burner phone."

"My Client wants the utmost discretion, he told me that our mutual friend assures you can be trusted." She said, faking a smile and a laugh, making it look like two women gossiping.

Nikita discreetly slid the suitcase under the table with her foot over to the dark haired woman. "This is your boss's payment, in advance. You will receive more once everything is done." She said, flagging down a waiter and ordering another glass of wine. The Waiter looked to Nikita, and then the dark haired woman.

"What can I get you, ma'am?" He asked, before Nikita looked up. "I'll have some Rizogalo, too." She said, and the Waiter nodded, reaching to take the phone, Nikita giving the woman an assuring look, discreetly telling her to let the waiter take the phone.

The Waiter made one round around the restaurant, taking orders and serving food until he made his way over to Lin's table. The Waiter smiled and placed the phone on top of Lin's table, under a napkin, before going about his rounds.

Nikita nodded to the woman. "The contents of the briefcase are only to be opened when you're in a secure location, our transaction will be complete when your boss finishes his phone call. I want us to ensure everything goes smoothly." She said. "Now we wait." She said, sipping her wine.

On the table in front of Lin, the phone began to vibrate, the Caller ID read "Private Number"

"Smooth is the only way it should go." The woman said, eyes lowering down to the briefcase for only a second. "It's a Terran custom to break out the champagne when a deal is brokered, right?" The dark-haired woman asked Nikita, "I'm not entirely sure they have it here. This is a Tauron joint, after all."

Lin picked up the phone, lifting to an ear as he pressed the button to start the call. He stood up, raising a finger to the woman he sat with before he began on his way towards the restrooms. If there were any police, private investigators, or enemy gangsters watching it only seemed like Joe was taking an important call.

Nothing nefarious going on at all.

"Hello." He answered, entering a bathroom. He looked around a bit to make sure it was empty, then used his free hand to quickly lock the door behind him. He needed the privacy.

"What's up?" He asked the caller.

The caller on the other end was speaking through a voice changer. His voice was reverberated and garbled, but he spoke with a distinct Caprica-Tauron accent.

"I want you to listen to me very carefully." The voice said said, pausing a moment. "This is a secure line, when we have finished our conversation. You are to destroy this phone." The man on the line said. No loose ends, no way for anyone to find them out.

"I need you to travel to the city of Windcrest. There you will find a contact of mine and secure possession of five crates. One has some Yellow Cake for a reception in Asteria. One is a Bronze tank, The rest are heaters for some friends of mine. I want you and your men to make sure the crates reach their destination as discreetly as possible, and as intact as possible." The voice explained.

"The Crates are to be delivered to the Borough of New Caprica, my contact that is meeting with your associate will provide the details and the address, my contact in Asteria will take the crates and provide final payment in Diamonds, heaters, and a bonus special Yellow cake for your troubles. If the crates have been tampered with, you will forfeit your Yellow Cake bonus." The voice said. "Your associate has been given an advance payment of flawless diamonds, they will more than cover any incidental expenses you may have."

"Guatrau told me that we can trust you, don't fuck this up." The voice said, before they hung up.

Outside in the Restaurant, Nikita turned to the dark haired woman, and slipped her an envelope.

"This is for your boss." She said, before she finished her wine.

"You can count on White Tiger Catering to deliver your cake and serve it well." Joe told the caller, "Windcrest to Asteria." He said as the caller hung up. Joe put both hands on the phone, bending it until it snapped in two. He tossed one half into a toilet, moving to flush it as he slipped the other into his pocket.

He unlocked the bathroom door, giving himself a few extra seconds before he made his way back out into the restaurant.

"Thanks." The dark-haired woman said to Nikita, pulling the envelope closer to herself. Joe Lin was walking by, giving the two women a quick nod before he took his seat. "It's done." He said, "We'll be taking the job. It should be simple enough."

He knew things didn't always go smoothly, but it'd have to. Flawless diamonds? That could put the Tong over the other gangs. More weapons, more drugs, more businesses and more cash to attract soldiers.

You couldn't fight a war without the soldiers.

"It's been a pleasure doing business." Nikita said as she slowly stood up. She extended a hand to the dark haired woman, and would hope to take it in a firm shake before she moved to sit back down. Perhaps with this bigshot client, the Triads could up the ante with the war with the russians. Of course the client was operating under complete anonymity, because if his identity got out, it would likely stir a lot of trouble up.

Once the Triads turned to leave, Nikita would also leave, and business would continue at the Leone's Bistro.

When Lin and the Dark Haired woman opened the briefcase, they would find about two dozen velvet bags, each about the size of a business card, and inside each velvet bag were marble sized, perfectly cut flawless diamonds that would likely catch a fairly hefty price on the market.

The Diamonds could be verified as genuine, which likely meant the job was legit.
