It was the sound of the shouting soldiers followed by the faint but familiar scent of gunpowder in the air that alerted Randin to the incoming volley. The detective had no sooner hit the floor of Marlene's kitchen than did a storm of bullets rip through her house, splintering her furniture and filling the room with a thick, acrid smoke. The detective coughed, scrambling to his feet as the musketeers began to reload. That had been too close. They needed to get out of here NOW.

"SLIM!" he roared, looking towards the alien as he lunged at Livia, "FORGET THE BITCH! LET'S MOVE!" He was already making towards the back room, remembering a door leading out the other side of the house.

Meanwhile Kianna was doing a remarkable job of ignoring the firefight going on in the rest of the house as she rummaged through her and Mollem's things. Where the fuck had he put that pistol?

Having largely turned the room inside out and come up empty handed she turned her attentions to the bed itself. She pulled the pillow out from under Mollem's head and threw it at him.

"Get up," she told him as she reached around under the mattress.

Aha.

Her hand closed around the cold metal of the disruptor pistol from its place under the bed. Standing up she checked the safety on it before shoving it into the back of her pants.

"It's time to clear the fuck out. Preferably while people are busy shooting the fuck out of Randin instead of us."

Mollem quickly nodded and he reached under the bed. "Good idea." He said, before he withdrew a Bifrost recall remote. "This will take us to my ship, then we're going to take off and burn the frak out of here."

"You seriously fucking had that this whole time?" Kianna asked.

He pressed the button on the remote prior to the next Argosian volley, then he grabbed Kianna.

"I always have a plan B."

"We couldn't have just made plan B, plan A, yesterday?" Kianna scowled.

"I was too drunk..."

He then pressed the remote, and the two would find themselves engulfed in a Multi-colored vortex, hurled through space and time, and ejected onto the bridge of the Kobol's Gleaming.

The ship itself was quietly and discreetly nestled within a storm in the gas giant the planet was orbiting.

"Alright.. I just need to reinitialize the Engines..." He said, lowering himself into the command chair, tapping keys.

"And the FTL Drive... older ships take time to warm up."

"What about Raphael?" she asked. Frankly she didn't care if they just left him behind. "And one of these days you're going to need to teach me how to fly one of these."

Mollem laughed a bit. "An old Sagittaron class?" He asked, tapping a few more commands into the computer, the ship then lurched forward and out of the storm.

"It used to take an entire crew to maneuver one of these, and now it takes just me because I extensively modified the controls."

Kianna grabbed onto Mollem's chair to brace herself as the ship lurched. "Any class. I'm tired of being the only one around who can't fly a god forsaken ship." As the ship's movements smoothed out she ran a hand through her hair with a sigh. She was stressed and irritable and it was showing. "What's our destination?" she asked finally.

"The Aurora like we had previously discussed." Mollem said, as he began to input the coordinates into the ship's computer.

"Slipspace is kinda rough with this thing, so hang on tight."

Purple lightning from an energy flux warped the space out on the outer limits of the city. The energy fluxed quite rapidly and with quite a visible light that anyone out on that day would see it. When the energy reached it's apex a rip in space dumped a the body of a small being onto the ground along with a variety of tools scattered about around him. With the rip in space now gone and the fluxing energy dissipated the four foot tall being known as an Asura shot into a sitting up position almost immediately.

"Trekk! We need to get this back..." His voice trailed off as he realized that he was no longer in the lab that was set up in the Silverwastes. The small entity stood up looking around again this time more closely. He saw his tools, his rifle and luckily his pack.

"Hm. It would seem I missed connected the molecular driver with the Esoteric Interface and sent myself elsewhere into Tyria. But this is not Tyria from the looks of the gaseous ball we seem to be hovering around." The Asuran picked up his belongings that were scattered about him, upon reaching a rather complicated looking wrench he shot standing straight up.

"Excelsior! By crossing the leads of the Esoteric Interface and molecular driver I have achieved multi dimensional travel. Granted the the travel was not precise, but none the less I have taken another great step forward towards the Eternal Alchemy. SAIA are you recording all of this?" He looked down to the gadget strapped to his wrist, the interface was still on with various script both mathematical and asuran in nature running across the screen.

"Of course Master Baird. But do you not think being in a possible hostile environment should take more of your focus?" The female voice from his wrist responded with the hint of sass.

"Oh very funny SAIA. What could possibly pose a threat to my superior intellect?" His question was rhetorical as his hand drew forth a field journal of sorts in which he began scribbling down various math notations followed by words. He wasn't only slightly aware of the area around him, his gadgets did most of the security scanning for him.

It didn't take long for the space-time warpage to attract the attention of the local Vigiles. Footsteps crunched along a nearby footpath as a pair of Vigiles approached a ridge just adjacent to where Elijah had appeared.

Both of them looked to each-other in confusion, before the first one silently signaled for his partner to return to the town and summon additional guards.

The second Vigiles turned and slid down from the ridge, making his way quickly through some brush and back towards the town, given the nature of this strange intruder, it was likely the Town Watch would need to consult with the Imperial Taiyou garrison in the town.

The young Vigiles grasped his spear and stood up, casting a long shadow over the foreigner.

"Tu! Dic negotium." The Argosian Vigiles barked, pointing his spear downwards towards Elijah.

Jerking his spear in a hostile motion, he shouted again.

"Unde venis?" He demanded, stepping down from the ridge.

Elijah looked up at the man from the scribblings in his journal. The spear being point at him and the lack of the type of speech used by humans perplexed him quite thoroughly. He did not bother to drop the book or pen his was writing as he stared at the armed figure with the utmost curiosity.

"Excelsior human! Which of the human races do you hail from? I see from your garb you worship the warrior god Balthazar. Not my first choice in god worship but you are of the human species so I can pull no qualms on your choices. Now what is this language that you speak. SAIA can you translate this archaic speech?" He was still scratching the words down along with other various things into his journal to document his situation when his wrist AI spoke.

"I do not recognize the speech patterns of this human, Master Baird." The wrist AI spoke in the feminine voice to the Baird.

"Hm interesting. Then maybe I've found a species of humans cut off from the others. Maybe they're part of the citizens of Arah or something. Their garb certainly gives away the appearance though the threatening manner seems a little odd to me." Elijah's voice was filled with enthusiasm and excitement as he continued to rant seemingly to himself. He was pacing as well in front of the man even though there was quite the obvious danger from his spear.

The lone Vigiles soldier stared at the creature before him. This alien was unlike anything he had seen before, and it was evident by the way the man had his spear pointed towards the creature.

Upon close observation though, if one had an astute and keen eye, they would note that the spear lacked the indications that it was hand forged, rather the spear appeared to be manufactured using rather advanced methods. Assembly line manufacturing, even perhaps robotic manufacturing. It's edges were precision sharpened, and there seemed to be no imperfections from hand forging.

The Vigiles kept the strange creature at spear point until three more individuals approached, two more Vigiles like the one that was confronting Elijah, and a third man clad in slightly more ornate armor, wearing a headdress adorned with black and white feathered plumage. The most distinct feature of this third man was the weapon slung across his chest.

The weapon was a Seburo Type 06 Ikazuchi compact battlerifle which was chambered in the 6.8mm Seburo. The weapon found itself pointed at the strange creature before the Decanus spoke in a thickly accented AXIS Basic.

"Who are you and how did you get here?" He demanded, before he pulled out a Taiyou made radio. "Habemus res habet, non est alienus hic, in Cerobi Steppe, potest ego adepto imperium obtinuit quidam de via mea?"

The radio promptly chirped it's reply before the Decanus took a step forward. "I take you to Legate, you move, I shoot." The Decanus huffed.

"Quaero eum." He then ordered, and the three Vigiles took their steps forward, closing in on Elijah with spears forward.

"I take." One of them said, gesturing his spear at Elijah's gadgetry.

"Greetings to you too human. I am Elijah Baird, Krewe Leader of Developmental Weapons Team 9. I've seemed to of stumbled onto this part of Tyria or possibly this is a planet that is within the outer reaches of space near my home planet. For how I really got here there was a mishap with the portal I was tinkering on. I was simply attempting to reverse the polarity and focus the energy to turn the Ausra Gate into a formidable weapon against the Mordrem. Though it seems I crossed a few wrong wires and electrical boards and ended discovering possible inter dimensional travel." The Asura had placed the field journal away at this point and raised his arms when the rifle was pointed at him. He knew better then to anger a man holding a rifle. Though he continued to only be perplexed by these people.

"You can most certainly take my weaponry and removable items I will give no real qualm about given I get them back eventually. But SAIA here is rather fixated onto my body and would require the removal of my appendage. I can assure you though the only weapon she has is her sass." Eli removed the rifle from his back along with the energy pistol and the back pack full of tools.

"It seems like you've gotten yourself into another wonderful situation with hostile natives, Master Baird." The feminine voice bordered on sarcasm.

The Decanus largely ignored the explanation that the Asura offered him. While the three Vigiles searched and confiscated the weapons and other equipment that they could find. Everything they found was subsequently thrown into a burlap sack and carried by one of the Vigiles, while the other two gestured with their spears for Elijah to follow the Decanus, whom had now turned to walk down the path.

"Not Tyria, Argos." The Decanus explained. "I take you to Legate, and then to the Taiyou, they will know what to do with you." He added, and once they came over the ridge, a large settlement, the Argosian coastal city of Arminium could be seen before them, and standing in the middle of the path besides a pair of Taiyou Imperial Warriors.

"Ave." Livia hailed, and the Decanus replied. "Ave, true to the Emperor." He said before he whispered into the Legate's ear.

Livia then looked to Elijah, and she grimaced before she gestured for the Vigiles to drop the burlap sack besides the Legate.

"You've caused quite a stir, You're certainly not Matokey, but you're about as ugly as one. Elijah Baird you said your name was? I am Livia, Legate of the Imperial Argosian Legion, Eastern Hold, and Argosian representative to the AXIS Cooperation Force. I'm going to take you to the AXIS headquarters, so we can identify your species and get you home, that is assuming your people are Members of the AXIS." Livia explained.

"You're lucky I was in the area, lot of people here don't take kindly to Offworlders, they'd have gutted you where you stood had I not stopped them."

Livia then turned to the Imperial Warriors, speaking another strange language.

"Anata no shirei-kan ni tsūchi, watashitachiha ushinawareta uchūbito o motte iru shite kudasai."

Both warriors nodded, and replied. "Hai, Wakarimashita." Before they turned to leave.

Elijah willingly obeyed not wishing to cause trouble or end up skewered like a skritt on a one of the spears that the natives had.

"I take it you don't get visitors often here then? You also are typical of the humans back from where I come from. Yes my name is Elijah Baird, Krewe Leader of Developmental Weapons Team 9, Engineer of Rata Sum, and the designer of the Pact's Mega laser version 3.2.5. My species is Asuran, we lived below the surface of Tyria before the whole awakening a sleeping dragon bit happen. From what I have calculated I don't think my world even exists in this instance of the universe let alone at all where I am. It would seem I have done the incapable by coming here. Though this is quite exciting and will make for a well thought out research journal if I return." The small creature continued on without missing in beat as he talked his voice still brimming with enthusiasm and awe.

Eli didn't seem all that worried about being gutted and killed. That was quite the least of his worries and he felt he could properly handle himself in a combat situation.

"We do, but mostly from the Taiyou." Livia replied, though most of Elijah's reply meant nothing to the Argosian Legate, she knew someone it might mean something too.

"So you're from another dimension? Like another realm? Please explain." Livia said, as she led Elijah through the town gates, and before the Asuran was a bustling Argosian settlement, people perusing markets, and the occasional Taiyou soldier moving from their posts.

Before the group was a large structure, though it appeared to be designed to match the surrounding Argosian buildings, the materials were vastly different. It towered high above the city, with columns of concrete and steel. The AXIS headquarters, which was where the Galactic civilizations of Andromeda came to meet.

Just beyond the AXIS Headquarters, various diplomatic shuttles could be seen coming and going, and a small creature roughly the same height as Elijah was seen standing near the steps of the massive structure.

"Greetings." The Creature said, looking up to Livia, and then down to Elijah.

"I see you are the visitor, I am unfamiliar with your species." The creature said, while Livia spoke up.

"Claims he's something called an Asuran. From a world called Tyria."

The creature nodded. "Not a name or a species I am familiar with." He said, closing his eyes. "Nor one that seems to be present in any M'tkee Knowledge pool, in any case, I bid you greetings, how may I be of service?"

"Yes it would seem I have stumbled upon inter-multiverse travel, even though I am a weapons engineer with some dabbling in robotics. This will be a big step forward for our realm and it seems for this multiverse. This will make for quite the research if I am able to return and for your people as well I assume. That is as long as we can get over any hurdles we may meet along the way." The engineer continued talking as they moved along. He observed the architecture without so much as a word of it. Then they met a creature of similar height of Elijah.

"Ah are you a being that works like a hive mind? That would be similar to the rat like creations called the Skritt, very stupid and simple minded alone yes, but when put together in large groups of 20 they become a very formidable mind. I also doubt you would have any information on us or of Tyria, it would seem not to exist here." The Asuran continued on the lenses popping over his one eye piece viewing the creature on multiple levels through it.
