The Multiverse

Setting

Rooms are nestled amidst the never-ending corridors and hallways. One could get lost for days by simply taking the wrong turn; and the identical red carpets acting like a blanket for each road would only serve to hinder you.
Only the vases of dead flowers...
The dusty paintings of unnerving figures,
Ever-watching eyes...
And of course, the occasional prowler...
Could help you on your way to your destination..

"No," He could feel the change, but didn't want it. It was from anger, not deliberate, and he wanted to stop this sort of reaction.

"Companion in killing is my wish. You, relentless. Let's go. Now."

"You refuse to leave my room? Then I suppose I'll make it so you can't!"

He turned around, and began to look around. He always kept a nail on his person, now all he needed was a hammer... Where would he find a hammer in this damn Castle?

He pushed books away from shelves, hoping that, just maybe, one would be lying around, left to rust behind literature. To no avail, however, so he decided to double back to the door and peer through into the corridor.

Without a word to Ubarum, he began to walk down the corridor, completely intent on going to steal a hammer from somewhere.

Faster than a blink, Ubarum was practically against The Harlequin's back.

"You will bring me to food," he said, reaching within for a power long forgotten.

After a few more silent steps, he activated his hidden power. Reaching out his mind, he willed it into The Harlequins. If his old powers were true, The Harlequin would feel ridiculous pain, stabs of it, to the brain.

"I hunger."

As he spoke, the power slipped, and with a gasp Ubarum lost control of the mental dagger.

"We can fun" It was his last hope.

The Harlequin almost collapsed, the sudden stab of pain forcing him against the wall to keep himself from falling. "FINE!" He snapped, so loudly and so suddenly that if the paintings were alive, they now most likely needed to use the bathroom.

He couldn't deal with pain, especially not one that had no cause he could emulate. So, sulking, he chose to take the stairs down to the main floor.

Where was he meant to take the man? To Wing City's outskirts and then leave him to his feeding, or was he expecting an in depth tour?

Lazarus Bloodwheel wakes up with a start, clutching his helmet and shaking his head vigouresly as he looked around for his weapon and pad. That's right...he had been bitten,so this was the vampires haunt huh?...It was nice,he could get used to this.

Fidgeting in the bed he swung his leg's over to the side. His heavy right leg pounding into the ground as he held his neck. Had the change already happened or was he still waiting?...How the hell did this work?

Alexander (Alex) looked around the room he was in. It was certainly better then some places he had stayed. He looked around the room, and walked around, waiting around. Just doing whatever. He looked at his watch. He didn't need any noise, any door to open. He simply said "So, I guess your wondering what I am doing here".

Casren was there, as expected, silently through a secret passage in the wall.

Yes,
He mused, staring at the back of Alexander's head,
Why do you return now, I wonder?

Alexander (Alex) went over to the window. He looked outside, as if he was looking at a storm. "There is a storm coming. Not a literal one, but something worse. People think there is peace now, they think everything is done. But it isn't. He looked at Casren now. "Chaos spreads. War leads to war. Lets face it, this isn't over. But, I suppose you don't believe thats the only reason I am here. Wouldn't blame you, since it isn't..."

Enough!

Casren flew across the room, lashing out at the curtain and causing it to jump. He knew too much, so much, but how? Did his kin follow him all these years, a prophet beyond knowing?

Kin, Alexander, the time for talk is soon. You must understand,
Casren looked away, out the window, then into the eyes of Alexander,
We must not flaunt our connection.

Alexander (Alex) looked around, and at the curtain. "I don't think it deserved that. And before you ask, I am not the only one who knows. Someone is slipping information. Or whatever they can. Either way, there will be something you want to hear..."

He went over to Casren, and whispered to him "I saw him again. He is still alive. That killer all those years ago.....he was not human. It is the only explanation. I thought you might want to know that as well..."

If possible, Casren paled.

There is much to be done!
He snapped the curtains shut, turning on his heel with haste,
Things you must know, be shown, be told, catch you up to speed, have a meeting,
The list was rattled off faster than necessary in a heavy italian accent.

In his mind, he thought of a locket, a knife, and a storm cloud fast approaching.

Alexander (Alex) kept close to Casren. He then told him "We need to settle things quickly. My arrival here will be known soon enough by the people here, and elsewhere. There are things at work, and if we do not be careful, things will get worse. Between recent events, and now this, I can not help but think someone is playing us all. Whether it be someone physical, or fate itself, it is clear something is up".

"Now, what did I miss? What do I need to know? What is going on? We do not have the time we would like. The time is drawing closer and closer. And I am sure you have much things to tell me".

Zosimos waited in the room for his new kin to awaken.

It had been years, centuries perhaps, since he had let his venom slip. Now, he was going to enjoy the result. She was a fiery one, daughter of a famous hunter of their kind. A hunter herself, or so she was.

Silently, patiently, he sat.

Slowly but surely she would open her eyes, blinking and then staring around, she would whimper and say, "Torture the little maiden you did, torture her and drain her... all those pretty photos Mother took are stained now in blood. I once met the man who whispered of such promise, but little Annie knew he lied." she would touch her neck and ask, "Why does it not weep, for I am wanting oblivion, I will take in bed and decapitate her in cruel spread. I shall fly from the window and break my neck, snap, snap and then dead. Little Annie, little Annie you left her dead."

He could hear the murmers of his new kin, and couldn't help but smile. Such torture, such hate, such passion. It was refreshing after all these years, refreshing after seeing what his line turned to and from.

Good luck with that, deary
Zosimos juiced, mocking Casren's Italian accent. His voice slipped lower, into a laugh, which began deep in his throat and came to echo in the room.

You wish to live eterninty with a snapped neck? Don't let me try to stop you, as if it would work,
More of that menacing laughter.

She would stand up and argue, "You broke Little Annie, look at her all dead, why should I not break your head, crush it clean, crush it dirty, crush it all over Casren brain, you hurt little Annie." she would skip along appearing rather deranged, "Death kill, killing death she is dead, just dead. Deader than dead, I want my doll!"

An interesting outcome indeed. It would appear his new kin slipped into the habit of speaking in third person. Still Zosimos smiled, walking close to Anamaria and moving to embrace her. He would be strong, looking deep into her eyes, working to assert his power over his kin.

"]Deader than dead, but more alive than ever" He crooned, "You may have your doll, Annie, but first she must be sewn" Zosimos would walk his kin back, wishing to seat them both on the bed. It was time to explain to her the concept of a flesh puppet.

She would follow cuddling the doll tightly appearing so juvenile and innocent, "Little Annie wants to see the crying... all these wounds tears over her face, all there saline solution her elixir. Make them cry Litttle Annie, make them cry watch them weep and then make them whimper as two points cry crimson drops, drip drop, drip drop all on my tongue... like these pretty little scars on my arms." with that she tears her claws over her arms and watch memerized as the blood fell.

Well, this would not do.
Self harm, no no no. Zosimos reached forward, to grab his kin by the wrists.
"Absolutely not," He said sternly, "Are you to draw blood from yourself. It is why," The vampire added, "There are humans we kill. I do believe they get delivered here. Annie,"
Zosimos looked again into her eyes,
"Annie, are you thirsty?"

Still watching drips from her arm, she would respond, "Little rivers on my Niles little rivers which Little Annie flow down, down into depths of Hades... splash and splish we all fall down and no one will remember, no will think... Little Annie shall instead just watch as the blood falls from the sky, as she creates little inlets over her whole body, she will become the Amazon with lots of tributaries... lots of little crimson paths."

Then, it dawned on him.
Necromance and blood worship be damned, she wasn't even supposed to bleed as much as she was. Had he, somehow...

"Annie, do you hunger?" Zosimos shook her, "Do you wish a corpse to play with?"

She would look up and nod slowly, "Little rivers... all dripping over my body, raining down and I am being soaked in them all, pretty little showers soaking Little Annie as she dances around the corpses. So many rivers, so many inlets one cut, two cut, lots of patterns within my flesh. Little Annie desires to patch-work of all her sins, so much delicious elixer, I hunger and desire more. Please Daddy don't hurt those streams, let them flow and never stop, my heart wishes for more."

Zosimos moved to grab his new kin by the hand, immediately making for the door.
There was a solution to this, somewhere. If she was skilled in the art of Blood Magery, had somehow inherited through blood an art long lost to his line, then this could mean very large things.

He had to find another necromancer, another blood mage, another vampire like her.

They made it to the door before he realized exactly how horrible of an idea it was to drag her out into the public like this, looking for who they were looking for. Zosimos sighed, slowing his stride and carefully pulling towards the kitchens.

First, she would have to feed.

It had been more than a few months since his disappearance, Kaiser realized. With the condition his old study was in, it had to have been much longer. Running his fingers along the shelves he remembered the brief time he had spent here. Mulling over old notes. Making plans. Had he imagined it all? Seeing the passage of time, a noticeable passing at that, made Kaiser feel weak, for just a few moments. Like he was mortal again.

What had happened to him? He had met with that damned...Tolemia? He couldn't even remember the man's name, not truly. Promises of power and happiness, things that Kaiser constantly longed for, deep down. He had accepted the mad man's gift, and the next thing he knew...years had flown by in a flurry of blood, and anger, mind crushing anger. So many years, wasted.

He had found his old chest, hidden away from the others in the castle, when the Detente had first been called together. It seemed like yesterday to Kaiser. Extra clothes, a brush, grooming supplies. Things he felt that he might need here, if he ever got ran out of Wing City. With a sigh, he set to changing, trying to recollect some of his past grace and dignity...

Nostalgia?

A voice floated in from the doorway. Casren had been watching for a few minutes now, but it was all he needed. Something in this old friend had changed, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Sure, he was still the serious businessman just looking for the next escalator up, but...

The vampire took a step inside, dust rising gently from the carpet.

Casren. He thought he had smelled...something. He used to think the man was weak. That he would be an easy stone to turn over. However, after the meeting, something in Kaiser's head had clicked about his elder. "Hardly. Just...thinking. I haven't been able to form a thought in so long, and it just feels odd to do so again." He dusted off his black silk button-up, finding it difficult to actually...button it, with his ragged, elongated claws, at least without ripping it. It was a struggle. "I have to ask...how long have I been gone? Do not give me a cryptic answer, like 'too long' or 'longer than you think'. I want an actual number."

Casren thought, and hard. Math was never his strong suit.

Roughly...
He stared at the claws, and kept himself from grimacing. What had happened?
Two hundred or so years. I'm not sure exactly, maybe if you get a grime-ologist they can help you figure it out.
He smiled, waiting for further converstation.

Two hundred years...That literally almost tripled his life total. When he had just joined the Blood, his one hundred and thirtieth birthday had just passed. He had lost more than double that...to a mad-mans...to his own arrogance and lust for power...

Gritting his teeth, he finished dressing, growling all the while. "I see. A long time then. I see we...you all...have grown. I do apologize for the mess I made, however, the guards were...rather rude. Said that there was no one named Kaiser in this family." A pause. "Is that true, Casren. Am I no longer Kin?"

Casren stiffened. They had said that? Surely a simple mistake.

Kaiser, there have been many changes. Many new members, aligned families,
How could he say this?
You've been gone for so long, your scent no longer plagues these halls.

The sigh,
We thought you lost.
Casren looked up.

His gritting had turned to loud, audible grinding, almost clacking together rapidly. "I...was lost. For two hundred years I was trapped like an animal in my own mind. No one even looked for me, after the battle, did they? The only thing I remember after all this time was the smell and taste of every kill, and not a one of them was Family."

Kaiser's eyes were wide, deranged. He was shaking. "Pray you never know what it is like. To have all thought fade away, and to only be driven by the need to not even eat...but to just kill. To become feral." He was trying to calm down, but Kaiser couldn't. His mind was ablaze, and he could feel his senses being overwhelmed.

Nobody looked for anyone, I think we all assumed each other were lost,
As Casren spoke, he noticed a shift in the vampire. The shaking, the eyes, no this was not good at all.

Kaiser,
Casren spoke softly, pushing every ounce of dominate he had over Kaiser, to calm him. The vampire took a slight step forward towards the younger blood. He tried to lock eyes with him, forcing his will.
