Setting
Called “Cliffside” by the locals, the outer portions of the city proper lies as abutments to the rising cliff-faces of the climes and plateaus. The overall elevation of Cliffside is higher than Bayside and sometimes affords breathtaking views of CCO. Cliffside is mostly day-to-day life, visited seldom by outsiders, with apartments and homes abundant.
It seems visitors come for very specific reasons. At least...this is how it used to be. Aschen has made it so that people migrate here when things go wrong. This place has been opening it borders more and more with small insertions into thier society through open application once every two years in control groups. Being very specific about who these people/aliens are and where they came from.
Stepping out into the street proper, Tierge noticed he was not far from where he needed to be. The busy street was bustling with people and cars and hover craft. Individuals would notice him and his clean but rather plain looking magical black mage drab and simply move along.
As expected of the Pathway, no trickery or funkiness today means it was in a particularly happy mood. Good thing too. Tierge did not want to limp all the way over to the Star's and Stones Bar. It was a glorious place, but still had not been finished with the recent construction. Something Tierge wished, was that there was a connection to the pathway inside the place.
Something like this could be arranged of course, but not free of charge, at least not by himself. Nexus and his other pal would have to set that up at whatever expense they chose. Because Tierge was not one to mess around with the pathway when he was not getting payed for it.
Tierge ignored the lamented thought and began to walk down the street with his wobble limp, due to his short legs and wooden staff that was twice his size. Standing at around 4 feet he was rather tiny, but a staunch and fierce individual. Everyone underestimated the combat mage right up until it was too late; and although he could change his appearance, he didn't with bother wasting his mana to fit in. He just lumbered along for the next 10 minutes until he found what he was looking for.
An intricately inlayed heavy looking door, half modern stone and steel base material, made with wooden outer linings. It was like someone decided this place need to be 'home to all' but stay current in the mannerism of society. The outside has a shifting sign made out of nanites on top of a picture display surrounded with a combination wooden frame that allowed the sign to advertise to those who needed it. It was like the thing was alive, it would shift and change according to those who walked by to accommodate for their devices and preferences, instantly knowing how to attract them. But for Tierge, it simply said:
"Welcome to The Star's and Stones"
We Are Still Under Construction But Fully Functioning
~Hello Tierge~
Beautifully shifting from one color to the next to showcase the cheeky atmosphere and vibe that Tierge felt when he came here and was greeted by all sort of zany characters. It was interesting though, Tierge could feel only two souls inside. Normally there were very many other people inside this place. He wondered briefly if the sign would show itself closed to others.
Stepping inside he was greeted with hellos from by the bartender who was attending to the wares and had a construction hat on. how weird indeed.
"Haa...llo!" Tierge said aloud. But quickly switched to telepathy.
"I'd like to request a bounty for 5 million Yuls, do you accept Yuls? What is the currency here again?" He beamed with that toothy smile of his, trying to appear friendly but more likely looking ominous underneath his hood with his freaky Cheshire cat smile impersonation.
Tierge noticed his name light up over his head briefly until the bartender looked his way. He thought that was clever trick to get to know the customers whenever they walked in. One could say that it was a magical customer experience level of attention.
