Setting
There is only one heavily populated area on Deri and that is a city on the coast of Land. In this city is the formidable Harb. Corp. This company is really the only form of Government among the Derith. Also this company has a fair amount of influence in the Galaxy.
Military-wise, the Derith have a commanding presence on the battlefield and in Space The Derith have five massive Harbinger Class Warships with another on the way. Not being a hugely populated people they mainly work for hire when called to battle.

Port = door way, or window, or anything that can be swam through. The ports sticking into the air are chimneys - to a human. To a mermaid such as Cordelia, they're simply really weird tunnel ports that serve absolutely no purpose.

Instead, Cordelia preferred to explore the ruins of a small town which had slipped into the sea all those years ago. There was a lot of stuff to find from the leggers. They didn't leave everything behind, but the architecture was fascinating. For most of her life Cordelia lived in caves around undersea magma vents. The magma was harvested and sculpted into walls and other things. Simple. Drippy. Round.
Here, however, in the drowned town, there were quite a lot of angles. So many angles, and squares, and rectangles, and triangles, and all sorts of shapes Cordelia was vastly unfamiliar with. Amazingly fascinated by. A shrieking laugh pierced the water and echoed off the walls as she flipped circles through a mostly complete housing structure. It was large, and had so many ports to go through. Large ports, small ports, and one very square port which lead straight to the surface. Cordelia found this port, shimmying up and popping up into air.
From up here in the air, the view was interesting to say the least. Gentle waves lapped towards the marshy shore, and many more square ports stuck out of the water into the air.
Erika waded out into the water until it began to engulf her rather massive thighs. For a moment, it became difficult to tell she wasn't quite human. Her rather odd proportions were hidden under the surf, just out of sight. She began to inch forwar more carefully, feeling around for the drop off to the ocean floor. When she finally found it, she descended like ... well, she didn't quite float--not with the armor at least. It was pretty light armor, but not quite that light...
...
The dim twinkling of her eyes shown out across the floor as she made her way towards a series of sunken structures. Were those buildings? The sound of shrill laughter startled her from her walk. ...What sort of creature made a noise like that? Erika became paranoid; getting eaten by a fish didn't sound like a very nice way to spend her day. She'd have to kee an eye out for the source. She began to peruse through the sunken town, giving it a good lookover as she sluggishly made her way through what had probably once been a street.
His body was rather thin, with very little muscle. He had wanted his body to not be to muscular, and not much fat either. In order for him to keep his speed at a decent rate, and despite the fact of him being an acrobatic, being healthy, and in shape. He had also worn a shirt, and his stomach being seen. The breeze was feeling, just right, as the sun beams down upon the male, who's left leg was bent slightly, and his right leg was 5 inches away from his left.
He was doing some sort of exercise, some sort of training, he had wanted to learn how to control, and obtain the power of lighting, and also learning how to move swiftly, and quietly. On his left side, his left arm extended outward, and inward, as all of his fingers but his index, and middle finger were pointing towards the heart. He then brings his right arm towards him, as well. Doing the same thing he did with his left hand. His left hand left his heart, and points it towards the ground.
He had revealed all of his fingers from his left hand, as he screeches all the way towards the sand having his finger tips touching the sand. His right hand left the center of his chest. He had begun to lower his body pressure, and lifted himself right off the ground with one hand.
He starts to twist his wrist around from his left hand, as he twirls around, doing a 360 spin, and doing a back flip as a slight bit of fire was released from his feet, showing off a circle of flames.
The current under the water moved in a weird way. Was someone else under there? Who could it be? Hopefully not a predator! With another glance towards the Land, Cordelia made a mental note to check back later for more bursts of fire.
Down under the water things were much quieter, but not so quiet so that she was deaf. Cordelia listened carefully from the direction of the strange currents. It sounded like...something was in the water, over there! About her size, she'd say. Staying close to the ocean floor Cordelia the mermaid made her way over to whatever that was.
Oh!
A being, with legs, was making it's way towards the underwater city. A legger! Cordelia had never met a legger before. She had never tried to, and she didn't take great interest in them, until of course one was spotted right before her. Navigating underwater as if it belonged here all along. Perhaps everything she had learned about the leggers through the stories had been wrong. This legger didn't seem too bad! What did it have on it's body?
"Eyoooo!" Cordelia screeched a gentle hello at the legger from a safe spot just outside a smaller port on one of the sunken structures. She waved both of her arms to form a figure eight, the standard body greeting of her kind.
Erika turned and lazily waved one of her arms at Codelia, watching warily to study her reaction. Was this one of the residents of this sunken town? Was it just a curious local creature? Or perhaps... was it more? Only careful observation could safely determine this.
