New Dev Eru

New Dev Eru, chosen for its centralized location, and rare in the inner ring uncolonized status, is a desert planet in a fairly small solar system with only two other planets. It is about twice the size of earth, and has about 3 times the gravity.

A single day lasts 29.27 hours and a year lasts 390 days. The planet is made up of 11 continents, which make up 81% of the planet's landmass. Water is plentiful in underground reservoirs, though little water or life is apparent form the surface, with much of the Erutin infrastructure and people living underground.

The plantlike organisms on this planets are largely low to the ground, with trees and wood being rare, though some forests do exist nearer to the poles. Native animals tend to be small in size as well, though some larger ones are found nearer to the poles.

The New Palace is in the northern hemisphere, and while it still lies in the desert, it is in a more habitable region. Much of the above ground life occurs closer to the poles, though there are no settlements in the trees, due to the need to maintain the forests of the planet.

Major exports from this planet include sand, diamonds, and quartz, along with more synthetic materials in the form of nanocloth, which the underground communities produce in abundance. Imports include food, though thanks to advanced hydroponics systems, the planet is largely self sustaining.

Major cities are: Rautuin, Kalkola, Niskos, Helingby, and Hevosoja.

"Alright. That gives me time to review formalities and the like." And to smooth Parson into it. "Parson...I suppose he'll go with his caseworker for the time we're gone." That should be interesting. "And...what do you mean by suitable wardrobe?" Some how Molly had a feelign about that, and it didn't involve the type fo wardrobe she would find suitabel at all.

"Yes, Parson will stay with Councilor Blackwelder for the duration of our visit." She answered with a slight nod. June wouldn't be too happy, but the two had something of a mutual agreement going on about Parson. The boy needed to remain in contact with people who would enforce the rules on him, June being one of those prime candidates. "Wardrobe? Ah well... we'll address that when the shift ends. Most of it is in my attic."

"...Director, um." She didn't know how to say it without being insulting. "Ma'am I don't think i'd be able to borrow any of your clothes. I'm a bit taller than you." Molly gave up shopping at most stores. Pants were high waters or capris to her. It was a nuisance. She was used to it. At least the director was taller than most women as well.

"Who said anything about borrowing my clothes? Like you pointed out, they might not fit. Besides you won't be wearing any trousers if that's what you thought." Catherine said bluntly. It may have been true that she was considered taller than most women, but at certain times in history that had allowed to to pass as male even easier when need be. "The faerie court is in something of a time warp. They're at worst at the time of Louis XIV, and at best Edwardian in their design sense. Gowns and unmentionables can be manufactured." She replied remembering that her own gowns had been specially made to fit only her. "There are other things in those trunks Molly." Catherine added thinking of a few hard to come by trinkets.

"No trousers?" Gowns? She had to be in gowns? That was torture. Then is hit her. "What a second. They wore corsets back then, and I saw that pirates movie. I am not going to destroy my ability to breath." Unmentionables? Manufactured? "Okay. I'm going to ignore the fact that I have to wear dresses and corsets and hoops and stuff." She didn't know. Molly knew squat about fashion. Catherine could dress her. "And ask about what's in the trunks."

Catherine couldn't help but smile slightly at Molly's discomfort. "The trunks have journals, books, period accessories, the hard to find things. There also might be a few pieces of jewelery, if I haven't misplaced them." She said thoughtfully. "Yes Molly, corsets were common, but it won't cause you any discomfort." Catherine pointed out having worn the things herself. It was simply part of how one made the gowns hang correctly, and not look so much like costumes.

"So I won't faint, fall over the edge of a tower, into a body of water and nearly drown." She doubted that. "Alright. Well. How long will we be there?" Hopefully not too long. June could no doubt handle Parson. But coudl Parson handle June!

"Well that I'm slightly unsure of. I may need to request an audience with either the king or queen before we can truly determine how long our stay will be." Catherine answered ignoring Molly's flailing, panicked responses to a change of clothing. The only reason she did half of what she did with Molly was to try and season the girl to what the unseen world was really like. A complex structure of social, political, and economic classes just as much as the real world.

"Alright." Then how may outfits would she need? didn't they change clothes all the time then two? Would her purple hair have to go? Oh wait. Fae. No, no the purple hair could tay, but it might need to be made longer. Well. Molly knew a witch or two who could handle that. "Hey. I wont' need to grow my hair will I? I mean I know some withcheswho can do it..."

Sighing, Catherine listened to Molly try to sort out things once again. "Yes." She answered dryly. Catherine hadn't exactly thought of that particular detail, considering cutting her own hair was something of a loosing battle. The last time it had been cut was 1940, and then it was only for the briefiest period of time. "You can keep the purple dye job if you like, I doubt they'll care." Catherine added taking a seat behind her desk. Her own hair was a pale shade of blonde, normally kept in a heavy braid or coiled at the nape of her neck, and from what she remembered about the Fae courts anything unusual or different was good in some ways.

"It's not a dye job." She admitted. "Naturally purple. I don't know how, I don't know why, but it grows in purple now. I used to be a blonde." One day, shortly after her memory loss, Molly realized her purple hair had been growing in purple. She gave up at that point. It was probably Karato's fault anyway.

Catherine offered a slight shrug. "Nothing I can do about that." She replied not particularly in the mood to learn more bizare details of Molly's history at that moment. "You seem to have a hang up on this whole situation. What is it exactly?" Catherine questioned looking at Molly in such a way that she seemed to look through her, and into the deepest parts of her.

"This is...They're not human." She admitted. "And I've heard horror stories about it all. About Fae courts." And it worried her. "It's not a sort of battlefield I'm prepared for, Director. There aren't fists there, there are words." she looked embarassed. "I'mm ill equipped for battles with words."

"Molly, no one is adequately prepared for the Fae Court, and of course they're not human... their fae!" Catherine said. "Throw out whatever those college professors are teaching you. They teach the myth and legend, I'm teaching you the common sense to survive amongst the unseen." She continued. Catherine had long suspected that these so called professors weren't familiar with what the truth was, the truth having long been forgotten in the mists of time. "Think of it this way words are loaded pistols. If you carefully choose your words, you carefully choose your aim. It's a slower paced game, rarely does it move quickly. For there are those of us who have lived long, and will live longer still."

Molly nodded at this. "Alright." she could handle it, she could. The woman took a deep breath. "I suppose I need to go and find a seamstress for the clothing, don't I? You'll have to let them know what I'll need." She didn't have a clue. She wasn't even going to live a quarter of the time that Catherine already had. Why was she being shown all this?

Molly didn't know, but if Catherine needed her there, as confidante, and assistant, then she could do that.

"I suppose I will. But honestly Molly, we need to know what you even remotely like. Your going to have to look through those trunks." Catherine pointed out. To simply assign a method of dress to a person normally resulted in discomfort, and displeasure of both parties involved. "I will not tell you what to wear. I'm only telling you what is required."

"Then we can go through the trunks." She said with a shrug. Molly didn't like dresses, for the simply reason that they were all too short. "When shoudl I come over?" She could do this.

"Tomorrow morning." Catherine said pointing to a nearby chair. Molly hadn't really done much other than stand there with the reports, protesting her next assignment, and trying to find a way to get out of it. "The reports Agent Bronson." She said her tone abruptly changing to one much more formal and cold.

Molly was not protesting, she was planning. And, now taht she thought about it, it seemed like a good idea. No Parson, no Maliki. No remainders her fiance was still in the hospital, or had been lying to her about the whole being human thing. Nothing. She grinned, ready to give the reports.

The shift was over, for Catherine at least, and she found herself soon out of the chaos of headquarters. So few people assumed that she did much other than live at the MCU, but reality was very much contrary to popular belief. In fact she possessed a nice brownstone type home, with two floors, an attic, and open floor plan; which had in some way managed to stay in her possession throughout the decades by either trickery, forgery, or really any means nessecary to not have to disclose the truth about herself.

Decorated in muted tones of blue, and yellow, with a few antiques scattered amongst newer furniture pieces; it possessed a lived in and comfortable quality.

Molly had, er, retrieved the address and knocked on the door after her shift, still a bit nervous about being here. After all, Director Catherine and she did not always see eye to eye, and the woman was nervous that bad things would happen.

Parson had been left under the strict eyes of another agent with orders to behave, or a spanking would follow. Not that her spankings ever did more than shock the boy. He just freaked over of the idea.

Ha. She barely touched his bum during spankings and the child screamed in pain.

The address had been given to Molly via a private message towards the end of the shift. The golden light from the summer's evening lent a dream like quality to the quiet street that Catherine lived on. She had been waiting for Molly to arrive, and in the mean time had settled in for the most part for the evening. Guests were a rarity, and while her home was kept clean, it was slightly messy.

It was likely cleaner than Molly's own, what with the child in residence. She waited for an answer then stepped in. "Good evening, Director." Molly greeted quietly. "You have a nice home. It's quite beautiful." Soemthing Molly wouldn't mind settlign down to one day. More than an apartment or a dorm.

Hm. She missed her family. She'd have to find her way to visit soon, if possible.

"There you are Molly." Catherine said as she stepped out of a study off the front entry way. "It is isn't it? I don't spend much time here though sadly." She replied considering the young woman's remark however briefly. Once again it seemed that Molly had revereted to the use of titles, even within private, casual confines.

"Please call me Catherine, I'm off duty, and it'll get a bit awkward to be called director later." She said thinking that she'd rather not use the title when in the Faerie court. It would raise too many questions too soon.

Molly tried hard not to wince at the idea and nodded instead. "Alright Catherine." She agreed. They were off duty. It was fine. "Sorry about not being here sooner. Parson was being a brat, and didn't want to go with the other agent."

It had taken physically manhandling the child to do it. "I did get measured, the seamstress is just waiting my call on the designs." It should be interesting to say the least. "Or your call. Whichever works."
