Setting

This old-fashioned yet spirited Johto town is home to the famous Burned Tower and Bell Tower. Its architecture and the practices of those living in it tend to reflect its old-fashioned nature such as the abundance of monks and the view of the two towers as being sacred. Also noteworthy is the Dance Theater, where beautiful girls dress up in kimonos and makeup to dance and occasionally battle with their viewers. Despite the preconceived notions and stigmas revolving beautiful girls dancing, the kimono girls are some of the most respected lore masters in Johto. Perhaps they even know the secret to awakening the legendary birds of prey...?

The local gym leader Morty has been training with ghost-types all his life in hopes of becoming strong enough to meet the legendary Pokémon. Already he has gained the power to, in his own words, see what others cannot. Perhaps it is true that he can commune with the spirits of the departed, but in any case, those that wish to challenge him for the Fog Badge must pick their way through the darkness before defeating his team that hails from beyond the pale...indeed, one must do so before even being allowed to enter the Tin Tower.
