Fleyhl Cave

Cynthia chuckled "No they don't fit in my pocket... They come from another plane of existence. If I send them away they go back there."

Cynthia pulled her pack on "If you want to go back to civilization we can go to that village I spoke of or we can go to the druid keep.. or say hell to it all and choose a random direction and go into the wild...of course that would be dangerous and stupid but hey... Well your choice."

Ebba stayed quiet and shrugged. "It was just an idea, Cynth." She said and headed out towards the back of the cave. It wasn't like she was trying to make her go off course. "I was just giving out ideas. Not like I was telling her what to do." Ebba mumbled to herself. She came up to a light and headed for there. If she could at least get to the end of the cave she should be okay.

"I can hear you ya know" Cynthia called out as she followed Ebba out "I just feel like sometimes I don't give you any choice in things...I want you to be happy too...I don't want you to think I'm just some bossy bitch or something..."

Winter and Shadow joined up with them as they left the cave and stepped into the light Cynthia took a sniff and then a deep breath taking in the fresh air.

Ebba blushed when she said she could hear. "I don't expect a choice when I don't know what I am doing on land. I could lead you all over the planet when it comes to the water, but on land I don't know which way is south and which way is north." She said and stepped out into the opening. She glanced over at Cynthia before looking around them. "Were are these... druids?" She asked.

"I see.." Cynthia said "well the druids are about a three day trip away... To the west" Cynthia pointed to the right. "That's why we need to go to the hunting supply first to get supplies for the trip."

Cynthia looked at Ebba and the wolves "It's not far to the suppliers...but there could still be Silver Blades around... So stay sharp and watch each other's backs. And Ebba let me know if your wound acts up I don't want you to get hurt more ok..."

Ebba nodded and started to follow Cynthia towards their first destination. She didn't talk much of the time, there was not much she wanted to say plus she had to focus on her breathing and not getting distracted long enough to get lost. They had passed an old abandoned house, the roof collapsing down. "Kind of reminds me of the coral homes or the make shift homes in the sea. It is kind of sad to think a place that once thrived with life is no longer.. thriving." She said softly.

Cynthia frowned at the house. "I've seen whole towns that where left..Such things usually happen after a great catastrophe...or a war.. something like that..."

Cynthia sighed "Places like this remind me of my birth place... It was burned by the Silver Blades... Just because of the werewolf blood flowing through my veins... I was only a child... Only reason I survived was do to the druid that saved me...my family...."

Cynthia sighed... "Maybe I should let you tell the stories...none of mine have happy endings."

Cynthia was silent for a moment before looking to Ebba. "Though traveling with you has made me happier... It's been a long time since I've had a friend...that wasn't a wolf..."

Ebba listened and looked over at her, "Not all stories need a happy ending." She said and walked closer to her. "Not everything down under is happy. I know many kids who have lost their parents either to the call of the sirens or fisherman or accidental stuff. Plus your story doesn't have an ending so you can't say it won't be happy." She smiled before looking over at Winter and Shadow. A small laugh escaped her throat, "Excuse you, I can howl just as well as any of you wolves. Plus, you are my first werewolf friend I have ever had. So far I think this is one of the best." She said and looked around. "I hope I can the best friend you ever had. I think that would be a nice goal." Ebba giggled.

Cynthia's last best friend had ended up as her mate...it was painful to think of him...the world always seemed to take away everything that she loved.

"Your right..my story still has pages to be written... And your goal sounds like a good one." Cynthia said with a weak smile.

Cynthia suddenly took a sniff. "We will be there soon... Grimly Brothers Outfitters and Traders... Most call it Grimly's for short."

Cynthia looked at the wolves. "Time for you two to head home for now I'm afraid..."

Shadow simply vanished in a dark mist. Winter let out a little while and went to Ebba for a last pet before he too vanished into mist.

"He really likes you... I wish I could bring them with but wolves aren't well liked in 'civilized' areas... Also people immediately think you are a Werewolf or witch if you have one following you...they seem to forget that the first pet dogs where trained wolves..." Cynthia sighed and shook her head. "Well onward then..."

Ebba saw the look on Cynthia's face and looked away. She didn't like that face, it broke her heart. She wondered what she was thinking of and that it was best not to ask. If she wanted to talk about it she would. "Grimly, sounds scary." She said and petted Winter softly before he vanished. Ebba sighed and looked up at Cynthia, "Some of these humans are getting on my nerve." She huffed before getting a whiff of things, she turned around a bit and saw a shadow. Ebba thought nothing of it and continued with Cynthia.

Cynthia nodded. "Humans can be quite stupid and fickle at times...but then I guess every race has thier bad apples...some races are even worse than humans...but sometimes even races seen as savages can be good and honorable... Sadly misconceptions and prejudices often have people judging others before they even know them. I've even had good friends turn against me when I show them my Werewolf side. You're one of the few non werewolves to accept me actually..."

Cynthia suddenly turned her head but then just sighed and shook her head. "Odd I could have sworn I just felt something watching us...must be jumpy still after that attack..."
