Setting
In an illustrious land of autumn hues far beyond the sunset is where your tale began.
There you stood, in a field bathed in sunlight, waist high grasses browned by summer passed.
It was a golden stretch of curiosity, natural and naked made for your exploration.
There was, as far as the eye could see to the north, south, and east, nothing but the swaying reeds.
Over to the west, a crag of dark stone stretched towards the sky.
How did you get here?
He brushed back the hair on one side and said with a turned up smile, "My fellows watching the border said there was someone out this way. I'm told there's an elementalkind here somewhere as well. Do you need help?"
“I seek answers to my quest. I am sent by my mentor, Elvaron, to explore this world and recover any who are lost or out of place. Can you help me?”
"There are many who are lost, many more who must be found...Tell me, adventurer, have you ever climbed a mountain?"
He sat in quiet meditation, mentally preparing himself for the challenge, trying to recall what he had been taught about the natural and magical sciences of mountains, but at the same time, paying full attention to the voice of the wind.
Not all winds are hostile, he thought, perhaps instead of struggling against a harsh unfriendly mountain wind, I might find a friendly voice in this wind.
"Have you visited this mountain often, and would you travel with me, at least for part of the journey?" he asked "and may I ask your name, in so much as it can be said in human or elvish words?"
Snow began to form on the wind
"...This far from his awakening, they know not what truly threatens..."
The yellow plains began to fade beyond the growing blizzard
"...The Wind entrusts you as it's messenger..."
Mountains formed in the distance, the snow beginning to build underfoot
"Ensure Ellaria unifies against Eras!"
The winds stopped. The snow stood still in the air for a moment, before gently falling down. On a not-so-distant peak, a dragon crouched.
