Setting
Yep, it did.
Lady Hawkthorne herself had lost her entire family, at least as far as she knew she was the only one with the name of Hawkthorne, she had no idea she really had a younger brother and sister who were both quite alive, nor did she remember or know that she had a niece and nephew
"Why do you seek your son ?"
Finally after long minutes of nothing but the sounds of the cracking blazing fire, Lady said simply. "I dont know."
Finalyl she turned aside and went to the fire, the meat she'd stolen had long since spoiled so she threw that too onto the flames before looking back to Frank "How old is he ?" She started drawing on the ground before picking up a crystal and using two fingers called forth a screen of some form to hover over her hand like a pane of glass "What does he look like ? Maybe I can help you find him ?"
Finally as the image, glass and all, faded into the crystal, which was no larger than her ring finger in length and twice as thick round, she asked. "How did she die ?"
Her ears twitched, she'd heard something in the woods... Scanning the trees she saw first nothing.
"This spot should be sufficient enough for our needs...Sorcerer, what is it that required my full attention!? If our presence is discovered then our operations will be in jeopardy!" One figures shrouded in darkness growled at another figure who was also shrouded by darkness.
"Of course my lord...Only the denizens of the Warp and the Chaos Gods themselves know this but...a little bird has told me that the Loyalist Primarchs have returned into the arms of the Emperor..." The other figure replied, his voice soft like velvet but each word was plagued with malice.
"I see...so the Emperors children have finally returned. This puts our plans for the galaxy at a standstill until we finish our grand goal. You have the item your new puppet gave to you yes? The one that can open a new eye..."
"Of course my lord, this puppet of mines also reported the news of the Primarchs return. He is proving to be...very...useful. Especially since he has told me that the Imperium intends to gather their forces in a massive assault somewhere....We will be free to make our move then. As for the item...I hold it on me, this dagger of unholy origin....It just requires a massive feast of souls and a...'willing'....host to have the blade implanted in their body...everything is still advancing as planned." The figure laughed as it held up a small glowing dagger, it exuded a red light and what was unsettling about it was the eye that seemed to look around, filled with hunger.
"This best not fail sorcerer, I will personally deliver your soul to the Dark gods themselves if you fail!" The massive figure warned.
"Of course my lord...I would never think of failure under your service..." The other figure simply bowed. In a mocking manner of course. "You should be glad I did not have your head removed from your body! You still have a use for me and that is the only reason you live!"
The other figure simply chuckled. [b]"Of course my lord..."[b]
Seeing the staste of the new arrival however she stood and picked up the blanket that Frank had previously laid over her when she was asleep, using it as a cloak she placed it over Carin's arms. "What happened ?"
The massive figure soon began to etch a sigil into the ground. "As much as I would like to show the people here the power of Chaos...I have more important matters..." The figure muttered as he tossed a body on top of the sigil and began to recite an unholy incantation.
The three women then conversed in a strange langauge, the two black dressed apparently wearing feathers women had somewhat shriller accents compared to Lady's own. But it was rather unnerving how the two women appeared out of nowhere. It is like where had the massive yet beautiful white tiger that Frank had laid the blanket on gone ?
