The Multiverse

Setting

Image

This city has everything. Skyscrappers, various other buildings with rooftops that you can run and jump across, magic and science working hand in hand, it was a place that you could really enjoy. Of course, there was the occasional Demon Beast that got inside and on the loose, and sometimes even a huge swarm of Demon Beasts would swarm inside the city to invade, but between the residents and the guards, they are usually crushed fairly quickly.

The center of the city is probably the Plaza, which connects the Plaza's active market area, to a large scale park with a rather nice fountain at the center, to the Government Castle, to the various other businesses and streets.

There are even Portal and Warp pads for those coming in and out of the city through such methods, and magical beasts can even be sold as pets. There are even people who sell Apps that allow one to cast spells!

It has many points of interest, from the Adventurer's Guild HQ, which also houses the famous bar Destara, which is frequented by people of all types but especially those of Adventurer. Requests can be put up here for all kinds of tasks, and also can be used for large scale meeting involving the development and safety of various regions of the planet. There are usually enough high ranking adventurers here to fight off an entire invasion, domenstic or foreign to the planet.

There is also the Universal Port, for both navy ships, space ships, and other kinds of vessels. It houses some of the navy and defense forces, and is capable of fitting multiple Super Dreadnaughts thanks to Space Folding Magic and Technology.

Additionally, one of the major central points is also Astrius Academy, which is often full of action, education, mischief, and adventure. From a student's project or experiment, to the Headmaster's whimsical side, to Pan Dimensional Anomalies spitting out the occasional monster trying to invade this world through the Academy for some reason, Astrius Academy is a shield, place of training, place where innocent normal children receive education, and a place where specialists can go to refine and experiment on any possible subject*.

*Experiments that result in the Academy getting destroyed are banned on principle.

Astrius Academy is always accepting and desiring more students though, its funds coming from the success of it's students, and very generous donations who want to see this talent flourish (and then scout them for their own gains).

Uptown, there is the Governence Castle, where the Royal Family lives and the government operates out of. There are also high end homes of the wealthy, such as Vitas, as well as a Dragon Knight Academy.

On the south end, there is a famous and popular beach that has maintained the standards of bathing culture from the old times, from nude bathing to various recreational activities, it is a popular spot in the city. There is also a cafe, Shialio's, known to serve some of the best coffee and tea in the city. The place has since expanded to take up an entire block on a street, allowing it to serve all types and provide a wonderful array of seating arrangements.

On the east side, there is the Watchgear United HQ, which produces various forms of combat gear on military, adventurer, and civilian markets. There is also the famous water park Merios, where one can expect good laughter and good soaking.

Downtown, among some nicer lower income neighborhoods, there is also some areas known to have criminal groups and gangs around, and also rumors of a Black Market type location also persist around the area. Various homes, appartment buildings, and such exist in the area, as well as areas to house, employ, and help refugees.

  1. I linked the wrong cadence somehow. It should be https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=1AfzC1qDZMo&feature=share

Capt. Patrick Garside stood alone at the beginning of Main Street, surveying. He was in some plain civvies, not wanting to be drawing a lot of attention. He felt it better to approach things low-key, showing up in dress blues would raise immediate suspision.

His trained eyes swept from side to side at an alarming rate, taking note of every face, doorframe, alley, and vehicle. It was just habit for the Officer to always check ahead of his troops.

He'd survived more than his share of ambushes, and I.E.Ds.

He clipped to attention, a brisk, trained motion that garnered a strange glance from the nearby civvies. He smiled back in return, a wicked glint in his eyes, before swiveling on his heel, and striding away...

The sun hung lazily in the morning sky, a pleasant breeze accompanying it in from the West. It was temperate, and from every direction the sounds of life sprung. The people of Hayslem were at lesuire, and it was obvious. It had all the makings of yet another perfect day on Origin.

"HERE WE GO!" The jarring voice of a Drill Sergeant shattered that peace in a violent instant. Harsh as nails on blackboard, it echoed off of every surface outside Hayslem, clearly booosted through technical, I magical means.

People jolted, a car swerved, ears were held. Everybody looked around for the source of the racket.

"HERE WE GO!" A legion of voices errupted. They weren't boosted, but in cadence the shouting G.Is didn't need to be. Their melody would reach every ear.

Nobody knew what was going on until the rumbling started. Like the soundforce of thunder, The Fighting Second Airborne began to decend on Hayslem. The older folks who had scene war, seen demons, and batttle all seemed to shuffle back to their houses. Heads shaking warily.

"ALL THE WAY!" Again the D.I-voice boomed, auged vocals pounding against the suburb.

People were starting to get right pissed, and a few of the "bolder" twenty something's ran down the street, desperate to find the source. Those who had been millitary, any millitary, the hair on their arms bristled. For some reflex a quicker than thought, and non-existent rifles were reached for.

"ALL THE WAY!" The soldiers bellowed in unison, a little louder still. By now the "brave" men had made it all the way down Main. The shouted in surprise, but it was drowned out in an instant. The deafening drumming of three hundred, and two boots, each marching in unison was all they would hear.

Second Airborne, in all it's glory, paraded its way down Main. One-hundred, and fifty soldiers, divided into five sectioned platoons of thirty moved lock-step behind Capt. Garside. Each chin was up, jaw set, and spine straight. Every man sported an identical crew-cut, and pressed green fatigues.

"SIGNED MY NAME ON THE DOTTED LINE," Surprisingly enough the distinctive voice belonged to the man at the front. A steely gazed Patrick Garside set the pace. He had the same posture as his men, and in his Officer's Uniform he radiated authority. He clasped his hands together behind his back and the soldiers mimicked.

It was like watching synched machines. The Capt. was extremely proud of the Company's cohesion, and constantly drilled it home. Even this was a test in a way.

"SIGNED MY NAME ON THE DOTTED LINE," Each man's service Black Mamba polished to sparkle, and strapped to his hip. The only other distinguishing feature was the silver wings pinned to each chest, and the fire in his eyes.

Patrick stole sideways glances at the natives. These people were earnest, peaceful, content. Intel had been right. They even had a calm little suburb beyond their defenses. It made him question whether or not these people of Hayslem had any millitary sense. A thought for another time.

He pressed on, and each platoon matched him. They marched in two-by-two stacks, with one bringing up the rear alone. Unfortunately this meant they took up most of the street.

"ALL I DO IS'A DOUBLE TIME!" The Terran cadence sounded with vigor on Origin, each Terran proud to be a Gorgon.

They made their way through the suburb, the cadence ending once Patrick could actually see the main gates.

He came to an abrupt stop, the entire company halting behind him.

"AAAATTTEENNNTION!" Each man stood to, Capt. Garside again augmenting his voice. He needed the men, and the Hayslem guard to hear him.

He snapped a rigid salute towards the watchtowers.

"Captain Patrick Garside, Gorgon Infantry First Division: Second Regiment, First Batallion, Second Airborne Company," He craned his neck up, flashing a Devils grin just in case that could see it.

"Requesting permission to enter, in the name of R&R."

"I see...errr, I am sorry, but hold on a second".

Acting calmly, almost too calmly, the guards at the gate, in the booth, and on the watchtowers remained calm and clear. It was almost surreal, as he was calmly contacting more people.

"I will need to see passports or some form of documentation for each one of you, so I called in some others to help make things move along quicker".

At the same time, the large gates opened, and various government employees had assembled to do just that. Some were carrying cubes that, when throne, materialized tables and chairs, and also the paperwork. A few looked surprised by the group, but others seemed to be doing this naturally. Among them were elves, dwarves, beastkin, and humans...and if one was capable of noticing, even a few Terrans that had fled here after getting fed up with all the wars.

"Like I said, we have to check everyone individually, and explain to you the basic fundamentals of our laws so you don't do anything illegal on accident. If you would please?"

The man gestured for the large group to start getting processed. Well, he was the gate guard. They were the people who would be the first line of defense against large scale monster invasions. So they were trained to handle all sorts of strangeness and phenomenon. Even this, apparently.

"Bravo compannnyy, FALL IN!"

Thr familiar tone of a D.I put the men to task. Each squad within the platoon formed up in a line, standing shoulder to shoulder with the next squad. I'm about a minute, each troop was sorted, and a pleased Patric nodded his approval. He liked to put discipline on display, especially for a first impression.

"Aaattteennntionn!" Each man clipped to in unison. With a chuckle, the Captain turned his attention to the nearest guard.

"Sorry for the show," his rigid posture wavered, and neither did his neutral expression. "Everyone else seems to be out fighting, and we're stuck filling out permits, speaking off!" He gruffly jabbed a hand into his left pocket, and produced a letter. It was simple enough, but bore the Governmental seal at the top.

"We're kind of here to pick up our prearranged passports," He spoke very matter-of-factly, and stole careful glances to gauge their reactions. Reguardless, he gave a bow. "I'm Captain Patrick Garside, Gorgon Infantry First Division: Second Regiment, First Batallion, First Company, and I do believe I'm expected."

He shrugged, "Each man, myself included has Entry Papers though, and you have our full cooperation."

The smell of BBQ wafted through the air on Eind Street. To get a good meal, let alone a good BBQ meal. It was Loe's. Loe's BBQ Parlor was builkt into a nestling of buildings but had a traditional look to it, sure it was in the most technological corjner of the city. Warmoon Estate was across the street.

But if anyone where to ask for really good BBQ, they'd be told "Go to Loe's BBQ on Eind Street" Or be told "Its the best BBQ on the planet!" And it was, in a way. If Vitas loved it, if Spike loved it, then yeah, it was the best BBQ on the planet.

Outside the building had rented out space for a neck of the sidewalk to be used for eating outdoors, massive windows were open, floor to ceiling glass panels removed to allow air and people through.

As the group showed up, the guards took up posts outside. Allowing a waiter, who appeared to be Loe himself actually, stepped forwards upon recognising Spike by face and hairstyle alone, there was no missing that faded golden purple tattoo around Spikes eyes.

"Lady Spike, Lady Warmoon, a pleasure to see you both again after so many weeks, Master Acara, a pleasure sir, please, your table is ready. Come this way" Loe then turned and lead the four into the establishment. Making their way to the rear of the buiolding where an orante wood staircase was they went up, turned right at the landing, then went up further. A room with tattice walls and a open door was entered, and a well kept room was entered. The table normally set for two was now larger to be set for 6 or more. Loaded with all sorts of wonderful heavenly BBQ. "Make yourselves to home" Loe said simply once their drink requests were taken, Loe took his leave as the four took their seats.

Didnt even need to wait for a menu. Spike of course had snagged a wine bottle, tied off with a pretty cloth on the clay jar she didnt even wait for a cup. She tilted back and guzzled. Then remembered Acaras comment "Reinforcement magic ? You mean like for my clothing ? Vitas normally does that for me, sometimes i do to, but I dont have my Sling-Ring to do it right now." Many eyes turned towards the winged woman, mostly men, more then one smack was heard as said men either were on dates or married and their date was whacking them back into reality.

To Jack, Vitas smiled as they took a seat at the table. "When you are ready to resume the hunt for the creature that took your sister from you. I will aid you in that venture." Vitas spoke truth there, since Mark Wolfe had indeed made her think carefully for her future, and left her for dead only a year before....

Jack took a seat at the large table, and took in the smells of the BBQ food. Much of it looked familiar, but there were some items that looked to be native interpretations of BBQ to this planet. There were ribs that looked like they belonged to an animal far larger that a cow or pig, but the smell was was a heavenly sweet and smokey scent. He thought for a second about what Vitas just offered while he looked over the food set up for them.

"I think that would be a great idea once I get settled. I think I'd like to stay in one place for a little while before I go hunting that thing again. Maybe I can get some more information on what it is exactly and how to kill it. This place seems to be very informed on magic and technology it'd probably be best to do some research and find a place to stay while I do. Probably gonna need a job. I could open an ice cream shop." Jack chuckled a little at the last part.

Jack took a few of the giant ribs and they were even more tender than he could have imagined. The meat seemed to melt in his mouth.

The walk through the streets was uneventful, although perhaps between the normal security and police in that area and the secret and Royal Guards, that should have been expected. Either way, they got to the BBQ place without any of the expected stereotypical events

"Mmhmm. Thanks".

Acara politely replied, although it certainly didn't seem very much like a royal prince. As they eventually ordered and got served, Acara took note of some of the questions and comments that made his way. Notably, he seemed right at home here and was recognized immediately, which would imply just how much he liked to eat out.

Well, the royal family was known for being atypical.

"Ah, well there is that too, but I meant the type used on one's own body. For example..."

Acara used the magic on two fingers and managed to lift up the massive serving tray underneath without any assistance or letting it shake even, with all the food still on it, before putting it back down.

"Well, I am told I am exceptional at magic to a point my common sense is a little warped, so I toned it down from there. It can actually be used at greater capacity. Anyways, it is magic that can also strengthen one's own body. It can make someone stronger, faster, more enduring. Stuff like that. It is extremely useful".

And as he said that, he also brought up something else.

"There are a number of good sources of information in this city even, let alone the planet. There is the Librarium on campus, the Archives in the Governance Castle, the Mages Guild in a nearby city, and maybe you could even try to contact some higher level being. And if you need a job, you could always become an Adventurer. An Adventurer's Guild ID can act like a passport even, as well as proof of identification, so its always good to have".

Spike smirked at the mention of Acaras common sense being warped "Wouldnt be the first time." She said, she downed the jar of wine and set it on a passing tray before focusing on Acar then as she speared a rib and some meat and started eating. "You can use magic readily, I cant. In order for me to cast any form of spell I need to use a Sling-Ring." Her hand went to her belt and she removed the two finger device and held it out to Acara "this is a Sling-Ring. It enables Mystics like me to use magic. Unlike Vitas there. She can use magic on a whim"

She was right, even though Vitas sat right there when Spike spoke, Vitas was a Sourcerer, a source of magic thanks to a once love that fell apart, in her heartbreak her magic manefested like crazy. Jack knew the extent, for the most part, of Vitas magic. Sheer raw power, but also plans and more plans behind it, there was a reason Vitas was the person in charge of Sacremento.

But at that moment watching Acara do an example made Spike smirk, slipping on the Sling Ring to her left hand, Spike made a motion in the air. As she did so golden lines of eldertich energy formed and sparked madly forming a beautiful design in the air before fading. Spike smiled "I can make portals too. But on Nirn I couldnt leave, I could only go to local places there. At leqast until you pulled me here, Now I can make portals like normal"

Vitas smiled to Jack. A gentle nod at mention of seeking a job. "With Spike back I still have room in the palace, you are more than welcome to join us there or even here at the estate." Vitas noded towards the building across the street, a slate gray steel fence bordered a beautiful four floor home. "I am sure there can be something for you to do to earn money, I could even pay you to stay if you like" Vitas had changed a lot since Jack last saw her, she hadnt seen Spike in a week, and it had been possibly a month longer then that since she last saw Jack, so aside from the lack of corruptive magic around her eyes, and the fact that she wasnt rearing all red with pale gold, in this case she was wearing what looked like a smoke pattern of black and red with some gray with a golden hairband across her forehead.

Jack chuckled watching Spike and Acara use their magic. His own magic came from a source he didn't fully understand, but he knew that his seemed to be an unlimited magic.

"Sure, I could stay at the estate, but I don't think I need you to pay me, I can probably get a job pretty easily after I get my Passport stuff taken care of. I really appreciate you giving me a place to stay." He smiled at Vitas. "As far as looking into the creature, I'll probably visit the collage librarium first, they'll probably be the best resource since they study so much magic there." Jack was starting to feel like this planet might be a good place to stay after killing the creature he was hunting. He mentally laughed a bit at Acara's mention of the bunny people that were native here. He wished that he could have brought Peter with him, but Jack had to accept that he probably wouldn't see him again.

Acara listened and understood as he heard about how other people developed and used their magic. Well, magic was a strange and mystical substance, and often took various forms. Origin was pretty gifted with magic and mana so a number could use it naturally, but there were some who gained it from significant events or other such things.

"If you do visit the Librarium though, be careful about the basement. No one is sure how long, or why, it happened but it turned into a magical structure called a Dungeon...well, you can get forbidden and usually unaccessible Arcane Knowledge there, but it is also true it could be quite dangerous".

Acara gave him that warning as he dug into the food.

"And magic can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. I once heard about a compass that would point the direction to whatever the person wanted the most, but I had yet to find it...I could only imagine what sort of wonders I could find. I also wish I knew someone with Demon King Blood who could access the Demon King Archives, though I hear those are even more dangerous then a Dungeon, several Daedra realms, and a super nova combined with Taurtaros. Apparently, they have secrets in them mortals are not supposed to know....ah, can we get seconds?!"

On a side note, Acara was eating way more food then what others should consider possible.

Vitas smirked at the question of seconds, tapping her foot twice on the floor the table refilled with food "It is a table of endless food Second Prince, just like all the tables here at Loe's He makes sure the food is the best there is for those that want it." The table was indeed filled with more meats, cheeses and breads it creaked but didnt break. At least it was better then what Skyrim had.

Spike snagged a wheel of cheese and started stabbing into it with a fork and scarfing down what she forked out of the wheel. It didnt really matter to her how others did magic, at least until Acara mentioned the Dungeon. "Let me guess, inside there are things that want to kill you because of accessing said knowledge ? Why do I feel like I left one world for another but with friends I know and love instead of people I want to shoot dead where they stand ?" She meant certain people back on Skyrim.

"If you need to" Vitas then said towards Jack, "I can get you the books and crystals I know of that have the informqation you seek of certain magics." Access to the Mirror Dimension was always a good thing. A fun thing

"That's good advice. I'll be sure to take safety into consideration when I look into the magic I need. And thank you for the generous offer, the more information I have going into this, the better." Jack smiled politely as he took more food once he realized it was a never ending food table. He took note of the way Acara was eating. He wasn't sure where he was putting it all, but then he looked down at the pile of bones in front of himself and, not surprisingly, he had eaten as much as Acara and both of them were still hungry. This was nothing new for Jack, though he didn't know how much Acara usually ate, ever since Jack had become a magical being, his appetite had been nearly insatiable.

He didn't think too much of it aside from wondering how much of the royal fortune was spent trying to keep it's members fed.

"Oh, if you are lucky yeah they only try to harm or kill you" Acara said as he continued to eat huge amounts of food that defied human limits. "Some drive you mad, some try to steal your soul while your still alive, some break your soul while your still alive, there are others that consume you while you are alive, others turn you into monsters or animals permanently, and others...well, they make you experience or even do things that makes all those look like nothing".

Acara said all this calmly as he finished off what had to be twice his body size in food already. His body had not expanded at all, and so it should be physically impossible for him to eat this much. In truth, this was do to the special bloodline the Royal Family possessed, at least part of it. Acara was also someone who had gained powers and potential of being a hero, and despite being royalty had drawn the attention of Ruuka, who rarely gets involved with those that already have high power or position.

"Also, if one is really looking to use magical travel, aside from warp gates, there is always the Vineroad".

The Vineroad. A mystical dimension that could touch dozens of planets, hundreds of realities. A place where time and space did not always make sense, and reason occasionally got twisted. But, it was a very handy means of travel if one did not mind a lot of walking and some to many types of peril.

"So basically if I really want to break Maven I just stick her in there ?" Spike mused at the thought of killing Maven in the most gruesome way possible only made her simply snicker madly. She hated Maven, she was the last one alive of the thieves Guild that was to be slain as it was. So at that point Spike had her work cut out for her. Spike too was packing away the food, but the more she herself ate the stronger her wings looked as the food was converted into sheer muscle to provide strength and durablity.

Vitas on the other hand was slender as ever. Even when growing up in Egypt before her first love broke her heart and her magic manefested so strongly. She knew the truth then though. Not that it really mattered. The Vineroad was a fun way to travel, but going by Mirror was even moreso.

But the way Acara described the Vineroad made Vitas think more of the Silk Road. But Spike beat her to the punch and was thiking the same road. "You mean like the Silk Road ?" Vitas had to smile at her friends clearly innocent appearance at that moment, Spike might be a feared killer and in some cases kidnapper in Sacremento where they were from. But sometimes Spike could play innocent as heck and still sell the fact she was a pretty woman just looking for some fun.

Or in this case, a target to practise with.

Jack, in all his years, had never heard of any of these roads, but they did sound similar to the way that Peter liked to tunnel around the planet in the last dimension. He continued to listen and stuff his face while the others talked. He was already planning things in his head for killing this dimension's version of the boogy man and all he needed was a little time to do some research. It seemed almost too lucky for him that he would be thrust onto this planet where magic and technology were so intertwined.

Jack pondered what exactly he would have to do and hoped he would be able to do it without harming anyone else. First he would need to get his passport taken care of, then the research and he would take it from there. He seemed to drift out of paying attention as they spoke of the different roads and magical travel, Jack always preferred flight over portals and magic roads. Sure it was longer sometimes, but it was also very exhilarating.

"Maybe. The Vineroad is a strange place. All mysterious, and it sometimes changes its appearance depending on the mood it is in. Well, sometimes it can be relatively easy too. But still a lot of walking".

Acara explained all this as another plate was put in front of him by a waiter. Acara then began to feast even more...no no, this was already at a point where physics and spatial mass that could fit were clearly being broken, even his metabolism should be overloaded. Acara might just be the greatest eater in the universe.

"I am not too familiar with the Silk Road, but maybe?"

Acara said that as he looked over at Jack.

"By the way. I understand that Spike apparently is familiar with traveling between worlds, but you have been taking this abnormally well I think. Are you also familiar with it?"

Spike snickered at the mention of being familar with portals and travel between worlds Reaching a hand to her butt she rubbed it slightly where she had slammed into a tree on landing in Skyrim that first time before rubbing her face where an Imperial socked her senseless. "More like painfully intimate with traveling between worlds" She slightly corrected Acara, her own metabolism working in overdrive as she ate and packed away the food.

Loe returned with more wines and other drinks for those that wanted them as Vitas began thinking on things. She saw Mark once already, and wasnt aware that he was married at that point. But she had Spike back. at Acaras question of maybe the Silk Road and rthe Vineroad were similar she explained "The way yuou decribe the Vineroad is many different planets or stops along the road, The Silk Road is similar with many cities as different locations to stop at"

"But this portal travel" Vitas mused, Jack mentioned he was in another realm for a long time, whereas she had only seen him at least a month before when she rezzed Spike, Ontop of that she had only lost track of Spike in that portal to Skyrim on accident a week before. So time had to be extremely different where he had been. Then again Jack was an ageless boy to begin with thanks to his magic. Somehow, Vitas felt drawn to the boy. Just like with Spike, whom she had a strong friendship that everyone mistook for a love life, Vitas had sworn off love when her first love, a man named Mark Wolfe, jilted her.

For one thing, he did her a favor by killing her parents and all her servants

Jack chuckled a little at Acara's question.
"I have traveled between a few different worlds, never by any sort of road, but it's nothing new to me. So far it's only been by portals that were like walking falling through the surface of a puddle or pond, but then instantly being somewhere else on the other side. Well, there was that and the mirror dimension that Vitas showed me, but I'd prefer not to relive that again." He grinned.

Jack left his mind drift once more, thinking of the love he had left behind in the other realm. He wondered if he would ever see Peter again.

As Acara consumed more and more food, with a few people looking at him in shock from afar, he also looked back as the Vineroad and the Silk Road was mentioned.

"Well, I suppose interdimensional and inter-planatary travel is like that. All sorts of different methods, really. Its hard to list them all".

As he said that, he then looked towards Jack and then added something.

"Hey wait, if I recall correctly....isn't the Mirror Dimension were evil Dopplegangers come from? At least, most of the time?"

Spike chose that moment to simply eat the mass of ribs, and bbq pork in front of her. Allowing Vitas to speak. "Not entirely, the dimension you think of is actually the Dark Dimension. I dimension I do not use. My magic according to some people, is from the Ancient Dimension. The Mirror Dimension is simply used to practise within. One can easily warp and reshape matter at will within the Mirror Dimension and not harm the Mortal Dimension"

Vitas took a bite of a rack of ribs then spoke a moment later "In the Mirror Dimension, portals can be made to any location, infact I made a shard of mirror become a portal to another world just touching the glass. Hungarian Mirror Traps are an entirely different dimension where everything is mirrored Even outside the Mirror Dimension I can make portals to different locations, Even memories" She cast a glance to Jack.

Jack nodded in agreement with what Vitas had said.

"Yes, I've never had the displeasure of meeting an evil doppelganger of myself while in the mirror dimension." Jack spoke.

"But, yes I imagine there are all kinds of ways to travel between dimensions and other worlds."

He was only familiar with a few of the dimensions and didn't like what he had relived in the mirror dimension. The conversation alone was making his emotions go wild. Without even knowing what he was doing, Jack had lowered the temperature of the room to nearly freezing, yet he continued to eat as though nothing were happening. He didn't notice the chill for obvious reasons. His lust for revenge, his love for his lost sister, all he had given up in the last world, all of those emotions were flowing through him and he saw only one solution.

Abandon hope, all yee who stand before such malevolence. For it bring with it death and ruin.

Dusk lay in wait within the city of Hayslem. Tucked away in an alley, amidst the cityscape, silence befell as a cry for help found itself swiftly muffled by an overbearing, nigh omni-powerful, palm hushed it. The individual silenced in question? Unknown save for the unusual, heroic, garb draped from their form. A paragon of sorts, likely. How they'd found themselves in such dire straights? Well, one man stood as an answer to such a question. A vile, cruel and unjust, villain seen many a time throughout this vast, and presumably endless, cosmos.

Kazura Kanahashi.

Why he held fast to this individuals face to silence them couldn't be understood entirely. Not yet, at least. Until he withdrew from an interior pouch an object rather unique and curious. A large fragment that appeared to be not unlike a jewel shard. Balling it within his fist it began to glow, radiating luminescence that managed to escape from the cracks betwixt his fingers. Bright and seemingly hot in appearance, it happened only then that the hero that had been forced into mute silence seemed to weaken; wither and grow lethargic in appearance. Their knees began to buckle, and soon it looked as if Kazura had been the only thing holding them upright and steadfast on their twos.

"Oh-ho-ho. This is a rather interesting development. Mundane individuals are naught but fleas and ticks, but those with a greater offering do seem to gift plentifully. It's wonderful to reap such reward." He murmured to himself, the individual in question before him slowly growing unrecognizable; a husk of their former self. "I could do you a great justice and drain you dry so you can submit and enjoy the sweet embrace of eternal slumber...or I could finish now and leave you to suffer as a withered, bone-dry, fragment of your former self. Your very essence has become part of me, and with it all the great potential that you once had." He exclaimed, albeit still softly.

Not satisfied with the monologue he'd already delivered, he continued if only to further boost his own ego.

"You see, I've learned many a thing in my time here within this outlandish amalgamation of mundane and gifted and all of the endless expanse. Might is everything. Power. Influence. Fear. It's all necessary to achieve certain goals. And power is hard to come by...unless you cheat. Why spend endless hours climbing a far-reaching ladder when you can just float your way to the top in a fraction of the time!?" He jubilantly chuckled. Of course, at that point his eyes dimmed in mild stupor. "Huh. They're dead. What a shame. Even the dying don't care to hear me prattle on..." He mused, jesting at his own terrible habit.

Releasing his hand, he allowed the individual to slump to the ground before casting a glance around. None seemed present, so he settled on. With that, he casually nestled their body up against the foundation of the very building he held them against and scattered alley trash, and other stray garbage, across their body to hide it...at least until the foul odor gave way their demise.

"That was pleasantly surprising. To think that petulant little excuse had such a large pool to contribute. I could only imagine those closer to my capabilities and what I could glean from them. Hm. This has been quite a lovely detour from my originally intended plans..." He mused, casually strolling from the alley to a nearby street walk. He lackadaisically flit his way down, his mind swiftly returning to his original plan.

Learn more about Hayslem, as well as possibly stumble upon individuals that he could sway into joining his cause. If all else failed, he'd simply fall back on to what he did best; search for powerful relics to aid his cause.

Origin,
Hayslem City

Yamato was sitting at a table in an outside dining area of a cafe that also seemed to function as a restaurant. He always liked these kinds of places. You could eat, just have a coffee with friends, or get the munchies halfway through your sixth cup. That was always amazing. There were similarities in this city when compared to other places, but, in the end, this world was diverse. It possessed a different kind of diversity than the chaos of Terra, and yet even still was different from the structured diversity of the Sinhai Confederation. How intriguing. Mother would have probably loved it here.

The Aster sipped at his tea, which was situated in a nice teacup. It worked well, but didn’t compare to the art Yamato was known to make. Perhaps visiting Origin could work out well. Perhaps the Song territory here, or a parcel of land in the country he could purchase. The city was nice, too, though, but other parts of Origin were excessively beautiful from what he had seen of his studies before arriving here.

Halitrax had grown bored with the academy and posing as a student. He left the school and decided to roam Hayslem city for a little bit to see where the winds of fate would take him. He was still a little miffed about being talked down to in the class he had attended. Before he knew it, he was standing in front of a little cafe and something felt odd.

Halitrax turned and saw no one around aside from the workers and a single person sitting at a table sipping on a cup of tea. There was an aura around him that seemed to radiate calm and yet there was a warrior under the aura as well. Halitrax went and ordered a cup of coffee and then sat down at the table directly across from the cute stranger. He took a sip of his coffee then looked over at the young man.

"Hello there, I hope you don't mind if I join you." He said with a sly grin.

Descending from the sky, Okora landed atop one of the skyscrapers and surveyed the whole city. Activating her Scouter, she confirmed the meeting location.

So the Undermarket is located Downtown. Hrm. Well, let's go.

Leaping off the skyscraper, Okora landed on the street below, and began making her way there.

As the two walked through the streets of Hayslem City, Demor would probably soon be witness to a whole variety of sights and senses he had never seen before. Magic and science were everywhere, both seperate and blended together. What appeared to be a witch flew overhead on an electric broom, and in the distance a wizard cast a spell with his smartphone. Some cars were using Arcane Stones as a sort of infinite power for their vehicles, and while there were also normal children who were going around on simple bikes and scooters. And the smells of the food, they also captivated and invigorated the appitite.

As they had now entered the main of Hayslem City, Iviri seemed to be getting around on pure memory, not once looking at a map or even looking for clues or streetsigns to indicate where they were.

"Quick food that we can get to go? Well, in that case...I know someone who could hook us up with some food" Iviri told him, although when Demor got to the part about girls, he got a bit red. "Wait wait, go to the bathhouse...with girls....but uh...wait, do you mean like with a non-segregated bathhouse?"

The reason Iviri had mentioned early about going to the bathhouse before picking up girls, was for that reason. Unknown if Demor meant for them to all go into the baths, Iviri's face went red a bit while he waiting for Demor to clarify that note.
